Cedric's was so good the first night we went again during our stay. Conveniently located in the Biltmore Village and an easy stroll from the Village Hotel. Our servers Carrie and Ana were great. Carrie provided great insights to the menu and offered excellent advice. Foremost, this is truly a farm to fork experience from the Estates vast farm operation. Both nights we had the pickles which are a flavor trip from lip puckering dill to sweet to mild after burn. Highly recommend! The Shepherds Pie was great as was the Reuben with excellent fries. We shared the Reuben and they plated it for two. The star of the show was the Estate-Raised Pork Chop - 14-ounce bone-in chop, with beer braised cabbage, pan roasted marble potatoes, topped with pickled mustard seed. Terrific and cooked to my requested medium. Reservations suggested as they get really busy.
The food was amazing. I had the pork burger (as did my sister). My mom tried the beef sandwich, which she allowed me to try as well. I could not decide which one I liked best as both were amazing. We got to sit on the patio which had a fun atmosphere. We did have to ask for some curtains to be lowered as I was burning up in the sun. However, they quickly fixed it. I would say, the service felt a bit slow. Our waitress was very kind, but towards the end of our time there took a while to bring the check and then cash us out. I would definitely recommend!
After touring the Biltmore estate we stopped for lunch at Cedric's. If you took the tour you will immediately get the reference. Love the pictures and the central artifact located as you walk in. Farm to table is the theme at the Shepard pie was very good. We had the locally made pickles for an appetizer that reminded me of my mom's recipe. They were delicious!
There was an hour wait but we were able to snag a few bar seats. Bar seats and high tops are first come first serve. We started with a jar of the house pickles. They were good, and it was a lot of pickles for 2 people! I had a salad which was great, but I had food and envy wishing I had ordered the spring pasta that my friend had. I had a taste and it was really good and unique!
We had a lovely experience at Cedric's! Our dog was with us, so we sat out on the patio, sipped on wine, had some great food (try the Shepherd's Pie), and were thrilled to also be given grilled chicken for our pup! We highly recommend booking a table on the patio if it's a nice day.
Cedric's Tavern in Antler Village, is named in honor of the Vanderbilt's beloved dog. There's a statue in front commemorating him, as well as family photos inside. As beloved as he was, his namesake doesn't guarantee an outstanding meal at this popular eatery. We had dinner reservations for 6:30, and we were seated in a spacious booth near the back. The pretzel rolls with mustard butter and chicken soup (tasty and very thick) were nice starters. My fish and chips plate was not satisfying. Though served very hot, the fish was quite brown (over fried?) and chewy. The fries were neither hot nor crispy. Overall, this was very disappointing. My companion pronounced their salad Just ok. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, our server was prompt and friendly, but I had higher expectations for our meal.
Stopped here on our way home coming from Cherokee. We didn't have a reservation so we ended up in the outdoor seating area. Our server made a point to focus his attention to my boyfriend which I found quite odd. Perhaps that is the vibe here? Not sure. The tomato soup was absolutely amazing! We split a bowl, but I could have easily eaten it alone. The mushroom toast was also different yet delicious. The reuben was just okay as the bread was a bit soggy & there were some fatty inedible pieces in the corned beef. I'm happy we got to experience the beauty of the Biltmore, but most likely won't be back due to the pricing grounds admission prices.
Shari and I had our Lunch at Cedric's Tavern named after their Beloved St Bernard. The restaurant was fabulous! I ordered Ice Water w Lemon & Lime adding my flavored enhancement packet and Shari went w Sweet Tea. She also ordered for the table the pretzel rolls w Dijon infused butter. I went with Homemade Minestrone Soup and she had the absolutely Gorgeous Rueben Sandwich w homemade chips! Everything including the service was impeccable! Definitely recommend!
Cedric's Tavern was one of my favorite places to eat at the Biltmore. I liked the relaxed atmosphere and the everything on the menu looked really good. I wasn't too hungry so just got a soup and salad. They were able to split an entree salad across two people and it was still a good size portion. Definitely recommend a reservation because the wait was impossibly long if you didn't plan ahead!
I'm not sure if they seat people without reservations but I'd definitely recommend having one. Even though it's a a "tavern", it's family friendly, which I would expect at a touristy spot. There are a few tvs for those wanting to enjoy a drink and a game, but the tvs are small. My extended family of 9 had a 4pm reservation the day after Christmas and didn't pay and leave until 5:30, cutting it close for our 6pm tour of the Biltmore House. Our server was knowledgeable and pleasant but the kitchen was slow. Our family had a regular burger (comes with double patties), a pork burger, fish and chips, shepherds pie, chicken wings with buffalo sauce, and a couple of kids meals (corn pups and grilled chicken tenders). Everyone enjoyed their burgers although there were some complaints of the buns being too crispy. My husband said the fish and chips weren't that great. I personally enjoyed their shepherds pie although it could've used more lamb. My son liked his chicken wings but it's barely dressed with the buffalo sauce, we had to ask for a side cup. The prices are fair for what you get. We also enjoyed local beers, ciders, and a mocktail.
The food here was AMAZING. The only bad thing about the pretzel rolls is that there were not enough with the order. I will apologize for the dessert picture, more did come with it, just forgot to take the picture when it arrived. The burger was really tasty and juicy. We ate lunch here on our second day at Biltmore. It was our favorite restaurant on the property. My son loved the fact it was themed after the Biltmore pet. Our waitress was really good. She made excellent recommendations and answered our questions. We started with the pretzel rolls. They were delicious and we enjoyed the mustard butter it came with. My son dropped one of the rolls and the waitress was sweet enough to bring him a replacement. Their menu is seasonal so I was able to enjoy a spring pasta dish. The pasta dish was amazing and I was glad I added Scottish salmon. The salmon was perfectly cooked and had a crisp crust. My son loved the cheeseburger and fries. They brought him a brownie and ice cream since it was his birthday. The dessert was also really good. I would highly recommend coming to the tavern and you can make reservations to make sure you don't have to wait.

My husband ordered Pork burger .Pork fresh from Biltmore farm. Very tasty no meaty smell . Came with bone fried crunchy potato chips . I ordered Shepherd pie . Again beef and lamb from their own farm . Small portion still I liked it . Enjoyed our meal.

We stopped by after the recommendation from our sommelier recommended it during our wine tasting. We planned on just doing apps to help with the slight wine buzz we had before heading out to explore the rest of the city. Prices are HIGH, which I guess is to be expected with the area, but $25 for an old fashion just felt criminal. Staff were all very nice and quickly appeared at our table. We had the pickles and pretzels apps, but were delicious and the pickles were packed FULL in the jar. Space is on the smaller side, so I can imagine during peak tourist time, it's a wait to get a table. read more

Great place. Hours listed here on Yelp aren't correct - they're open for dinner. Where do I start? Myles was wonderful- very professional & attentive. Our party of ten enjoyed everything we ate. From cocktails to appetizers to entrees to dessert. Notable: the pickles appetizer is very good!!! I was surprised. read more

We are staying at the Village Hotel and enjoyed walking around the village before dinner. The interior is comfortable with a lovely outdoor patio. I was curious about the steak special with Biltmore beef topped with a caramel/wine reduction and an olive, parsley, pomegranate salad. It was a delicious inventive combination! I wasn't as excited about the PB&J tart because the angel food cake was a little dry and the peanut butter didn't help. The rest of my party enjoyed the shepherd's pie, orecchiette, and pasty. The chocolate cake looked to die for, and the peach tart was tasty! The staff was very friendly and accommodated a mushroom allergy. read more
Great location in Antler Hill Village. In the summer months your meal here may be enhanced by the live band in the central village square. Interior and exterior dining options are available. The vegetarian selection is a bit too limited for my taste, but everything I've tried has been very good. The pretzel rolls with mustard butter are fantastic. Service is consistently superb. Dogs are allowed on the patio. Cedric's is a relaxing and worthwhile way to finish up your day at Biltmore. read more

The food was fantastic, and the customer service was exceptional. I ordered the Shepherd's Pie, which, at first glance, seemed like a small portion, but it turned out to be more than I could finish. Our server, Catherine, was very attentive to our needs. When we ordered, she informed us that our food would be out shortly. Within minutes, she brought us a basket of soft pretzel rolls to apologize for the delay in our meal. If you find yourself at the Biltmore Estate, plan to stop in at Cedric's Tavern. read more

This is a very cozy restaurant in the Biltmore estate village. Food - Great, the shepherds pie and the pub burger were delicious. Service - Good, reservations aren't necessary. Parking - There are parking lots nearby. Overall, this place is great. read more

Another great lunch at Cedric's Tavern with fabulous service by Chris. The husband and I shared a pork burger and the soup of the day-- a lentil potato offering that was delicious. Portions are large enough to share if you don't want to over eat. Nice atmosphere and always a pleasant experience. read more

Stopped in after our house and garden visit. Staff were super (our waitress, Ina, was amazing!) we ordered the sausage roll which was delicious and the mustard was so good that we purchased a jar of it! I ordered the pork burger which was out of this world, and my husband had the fish and chips. He said it was good but a bit too greasy. He also got a flight of locally brewed beers. read more

Stopped in for food with my boys. A nice enough place with lots of space, a big bar, lots of dark wood, but lit up well enough that we could see. We were thirsty and got the kids sodas while the adults had beverages... mine was non alcoholic. The bartenders were cool, friendly and courteous... We decided to eat here and they gave us tables in the bar area. When we got the menu it was filled with "specialty" foods. Everything had a twist or something different to it. There really wasn't anything for the kids and the prices were really high. We just were not feelling it. We decided to pass... just not what we wanted. I'm sure the food is good... the place is nice... but after all day at the Biltmore we wanted something just simple and hearty. I was not impressed.. the restraunt is clean, dark, (hard to read the menu at night) The Brie app was good. I had the bison burger. I ordered it medium. It came out rare with a bun toasted until it was hard. The fries were also overcooked. My wife liked her halibut. I will not order the bison burger here again. We had to ask for lemon to put in our water several times before they brought any. If you are looking for fountain soda other than cola or sprite, this is not the place. I may return and try the lunch menu. read more

I returned to Cedric's in Antler Hill Village. They have inside and outside seating. The atmosphere is lovely with the darker tones and relaxing setting. The service was friendly and attentive as well. I ordered the fish and chips and it was delicious. The prices are much higher here than other restaurants for the same quality. So keep that in mind if you eat on the estate. read more
