Spring Menu is out! Chicken and Parsnips is off the menu - make way for - Duck Confit and Holy Braised Lentils! Chef out did himself with the new Spring Menu! Beautifully flavored delicate duck - and I'm warning you - if you taste these lentils you will rearrange life to return to their holy essence. Cheshire Arms is still producing flavor dense memorable meals. Looking forward to all the seasonal menus to come. Plenty of parking, quiet atmosphere and consistent plates well done. I say go!

Sunday Roast is the first Sunday of the month. Pictured is a pint of Guinness, Roast Beef, Roast Chicken, and Roast Pork.

This is a great place to simply stop and share a pint and watch some Rugby, intimate enough to bring a date, and perfect for a nice dinner with the family. The food is delicious authentic British fare and the service is casual and friendly.

At the time we didn't realize that Roberta Flack was born in Black Mountain and the mural on the side of the historic building was in fact Roberta! When you step inside it is cozy and comfortable but we could see there was a large outdoor space as well. I stopped in at the counter and decided to order a pint of their Hazy IPA. We wandered to the outdoor space which is two levels, we explored the upstairs area first since there was a thunderstorm we thought it would be cool to watch the rain and lightning while sipping on a cold beer. We also learned there was a food trailer at the back of the property, which looks to be a permanent resident. They offer items such as pulled pork, poutine, brisket, and more. We ended up chatting with other customers and had a really enjoyable afternoon. We enjoyed our time at Black Mountain Brewing and will absolutely be back!

The first cool thing about this brewery is that it taught me that Roberta was from NC, which I did not know. So, we decided to go and immediately it took be back to the golden era of small breweries. I loved the atmosphere here, again it took me back to when craft beer was a community, and not an industry as it is today. I had a flight with the steam beer, pale ale, West Coast IPA, and barleywine. Everything was on point and very well made. My friend had the American Lager and we also tried the Czech-style lager, which ended up being my favorite. A huge plus and thank you to our bartender who brought us delicious, in-house freshly-made pork rinds! If I lived in the area, this would be my Cheers.
