I'm so surprised this place has the rating is has?? Our food was either incredibly bland (margarita pizza, french dip), or WAY too salty. Not only that, our service was some of the worst I've had. Our waiter was slow, forgetful, and barely spoke a word. The only good part is the building itself, it's really pretty inside, and the bathrooms were wonderful! Came here on a Thursday night and I was shocked as to how packed it was!! We had a party of 8 and the wait time was about 45 minutes. I will say right now, the wait was absolutely worth it. We were able to get drinks from the bar while we waited, and the host was incredibly kind. While it took a while to get our food after being seated, I honestly didn't mind. The restaurant has great energy and it was nice to just hang out and chat over drinks. When we did get our food, it blew me away!! I got the chicken sandwich with sweet potato tots, and it was to die for. Others in my party got the fish and chips and the fish reuben. Everyone loved their food! Post25 is always improving and adding new menu items while keeping the favorites. Our favorites are the burger and fries and a Must are the Onion Rings! The gyro platter is fantastic. The prime rib special almost daily is amazing. Everything we have had there is great. It has its own parking lot and a shaded deck if you want to be outside. The Bar area is super cozy and the service is very good. If you want a more formal dining experience the dining room is very comfortable. When we arrived, the parking lot was packed, but we were immediately sat at a table on the porch outside and there was no wait for food or drink. We started off with the Carolina Crickets that we read so much about here on Yelp, definitely the best jalapeño poppers we've ever had! I enjoyed the Salmon Santorine and my husband got the classic Ruben. I also treated myself to a Spicy Red Maraca and Post Potion #9 (delightful champagne and lavender cocktail). All in all, not quite the super-duper dining experience we expected. We were told by many the shrimp dishes are plentiful and affordable, but there was one di$h, and it struggled to whelm for its price. Now that's not always the fault of the restaurant, so looking at other choices - the whole menu was overly pricey, serving portions were fair for a meal, but didn't match the cost. Flavor was middle-of-the-road. Cocktails were nothing to write home about. I requested a dirty martini: it had two big olives (good), but no detectable brine, and the vodka was either not the brand I requested or it was heavily supplemented by water. The place is nice, clean, and quiet. The Lego creations make a nice diversion to walk around and view. But, at fifty bucks+ per diner overall (one had an appetizer, another a salad), it just didn't quite get there. read more

Yesterday my son and daughter in-law got married and we had the dinner at Post 25. It was totally amazing!! The staff, Stephen and Brandon managers set up the room perfect and our waiter Jennifer was outstanding!!! Even when our group grew from 20-30 she took it with a smile and positively impressed! She kept the drinks coming and the food was all served hot to perfection! The appetizers, Bavarian pretzels, pita and pimento cheese, fried mushrooms and egg rolls were excellent. We ordered 2 chicken piccata specials which has a smoked chicken quarter which was good but the pasta was very overcooked and the piccata sauce was very unappetizing. The sauce had the texture of apple sauce and the spices were not at all true to a chicken piccata. The mix between the sauce of the piccata and the smoked chicken was downright offensive. My party only finished the chicken and one member sent theirs back and got the vodka pasta with chicken to go. When the check came at the end of the meal, the waiter told us he took the meal we sent back off the check. Usually when meals are compensated restaurants typically don't charge for the new meal. However we were charged for the new meal. This was quite frustrating as the server told us he took that off the check and acted as if he had done us a service. This just came off as very insincere by management and did not improve our already bad experience. Another party member got the pork chop and I got the meatloaf. Each were passable but not worth the price. The vodka pasta with chicken was also awful. The chicken was covered in an absurd amount of spices and the sauce tasted as if it was from a can. The pasta was awful like the chicken piccata. Overall this was a very negative experience and we will not be returning. It was a 45 minute wait for disappointment and an assault on our pallets. Given this experience I rate it a 2/5 read more

We must have been the first people here when they opened because we were the only car in the parking lot but within 15 or 20 minutes the whole parking lot was full. Utterly amazing! Get the tiger chicken. Just get the tiger chicken with the tots and you'll be in food heaven!! I came here for lunch with a friend and we were able to grab the last table outside on a beautiful day. Then I was introduced to a tiger chicken sandwich and my taste buds sung in harmony. I ended up ditching my bun because the tots were the best tots I have had far and wide - savory, crunchy exterior, soft pillowy inside, and oh so easy to eat. Throw in a French 75 without the simple syrup and my lunch was mind blowing amazing!! It was so good! Our waitress was truly wonderful too. She was welcoming, warm, and made a delightful French 75. I returned to Post 25 today with a friend who had not been there before, I chose the blue plate special, which was a shrimp basket. The shrimp basket was medium shrimp lightly battered, approximately eight shrimp, coleslaw, and homemade french fries. The shrimp was prepared beautifully in a light batter, the coleslaw was good and the french fries weren't bad. All in all I really enjoyed the meal. My friend had a tiger chicken sandwich with steamed broccoli on the side. She mentioned that it was delicious but a bit sloppy to eat. The broccoli steamed nicely. All in all, our meal was nice with a pleasant atmosphere and I will be returning again to try another daily blue plate, special or their wings which I have heard are one of the best around. read more

Consistency can be expected here. I frequent for lunch more than dinner. However whether I'm here on a Tuesday at 11am or a Thursday at 5pm, the food and the drinks are solid. They typically carry a lot least one cider on draft (my requirement) and a wealth of other choices for draft drinkers of all persuasions. The food has been consistent too since my first visit over a year or so ago right through today. Staff is pleasant and bar staff pleasant service driven. My dad got the gyro that was stacked with moist lamb meat, perfect blend of lettuce tomato and thinness slices of red onions. The serving of Greek fries weren't skimpy on the fries or feta and was easy a sharable size. Our sweet companion ordered a Caesar salad that was packed with cheese that it was hard to find the lettuce and enough for 2 meals. I had the hamburger cause I eat an egg a day and I had a perfectly cooked burger with a runny yolk that was soaked up by the bun. The baked potato was really fluffy on the inside and rolled in salt and pepper on the outside with a crispy skin. The dining area is bright and welcoming to the right and to the left is an upscale bar with sports on. The bathroom has copper color tiles that is picked up nicely with the rest of the decor. Post 25 is one of those places that knocked my socks off the first visit and had me returning just a week later to see if it lived up to that initial experience. Boy, did it! I've tried a fair number of their apps (Greek nachos, spinach-artichoke dip, pretzel with beer cheese) and all are top-notch. They have some real Greek influence on their menu and a number of their apps come with lightly-fried pita instead of tortilla chips, which is a nice change of pace especially with the expert job they do frying and seasoning the pita. Their burgers are excellent - well-seasoned, well-composed, and beautifully presented. I prefer my burgers medium but would recommend ordering medium-rare as the beef they use seems to be on the slightly leaner side and you definitely don't want to miss out on the beef juice dripping all over everything else on the plate as you eat. Their fryer person is at the top of their game, as the tater tots and french fries have been absolutely perfect on every visit. Their Reuben sandwich also has a ton of delicious and tender corned beef and will certainly scratch that itch if that's what you're craving. I've also tried their pizza which is more akin to a flatbread but that's not faint praise or a backhanded compliment; it is absolutely excellent with well-seasoned dough and enough heat from the oven to give it some excellent color. Service has always been absolutely wonderful and prices are more than reasonable. Make sure to show up a little early if you want to avoid the (deserved) wait around dinnertime as the place fills up fast! read more

First visit here for early dinner. Surprised to see how busy it was at 5p; appeared that some Halloween costumed diners were there before attending a party later in the evening. Seated quickly and server(s) were timely and attentive. The menu has a good variety of offerings plus nightly specials. Brisket ravioli entree special caught my eye and my gal and I paired/shared that with chicken Caesar salad. Unfortunately, the ravioli came without any bread offering and had to order that separately. The sauce was delicious, spicy and chili-like. The chicken was warmed and salad was delicious. Not many croutons, however. We were given extra plates for sharing and given the decent portion size had a delicious dinner with no leftovers. Post 25 is a popular South Asheville spot, well known for its Tiger Wings. It's currently undergoing a kitchen renovation, so not everything (for example, onion rings) is available now. The majority of folks at our table had the Black Forest reuben (about $11 with a side), a holdover from the late and sometimes lamented German restaurant that was a fixture at this location. My sandwich was okay, though I took half of it home. The waffle fries (no regular fries available now) were above average, as were the sweet potato fries. Best thing I had, though, was the Guinness on draft ($6.25). Server was friendly, though it took maybe 45 minutes for everyone at our table to get the food. I just had my second amazing lunch here. If it's a nice day & not too windy, you can't beat a late lunch out on their deck under an umbrella (without the umbrella you may catch a sunburn). Music was chill and the service was perfect. They happily bring you a water without asking for it, and the manager came out a couple times to make sure everything was cool. The food is sooo good, and made me feel like a local. ;) I ordered off the lunch menu (sandwiches & side for $12), started with Carolina Crickets (No; they are not the actual insects) and had an Arden Club sandwich. I could only eat about half of everything before I was on the edge of being "uncomfortably full." The portions are HUGE, so just ask for a to-go box up front.
