    Ribeye with amazing mashed taters
    C.J. E.

Well we love the Ribeyes here and the butter sauce. OMG , but today we arrived at 4:30, lunch menu only. So we slowwwww rolled the shit out of it. I understand but man $22.50 For a ribeye sandwich , no sides included, for Hendo, oh hell no. We are waiting until 5pm, to over pay for that ribeye. We love this place so warm and welcoming.

So, I'm on a ladypants trip with my besty and we're in Hendersonville, NC. First off-the town looks like it inspired at Least 4 hallmark movies. But I digress. We're hungry. We stop into SHINE. This place was exactly what we needed. Mellow vibes, and relaxing atmosphere. Our waitress, Angela, was funny and a wealth of information. We couldn't figure out what we wanted, but after ordering realized that there was probably not a bad choice on the menu. I had the turkey Cobb salad, and a glass of wine, my galpal had the grilled chicken sandwich with coleslaw. Everything was delicious, the salad was hefty and filling and I wish we'd saved room for desserts.

Cacio e pepe and Short Rib

Let's start this off with a discussion about hours. They open at 3...but not the rooftop. That's not open until 4. Also, the menu from 3-5 is small plates, not full menu. Dinner starts at 5... Could you be more confusing?! We ordered some drink on the roof at 4 and went down for dinner, only to be told that we had to wait another 20 minutes to order... We went for the short ribs and the cacio e Pepe. The pasta was overly spiced. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a good amount of pepper, and we know what we signed up for by ordering Cacio e PEPE...but this was too far. Luckily the server compted the pasta, no foul no harm. Overall, I would come back for a rooftop drink and snack, that's about it. But be mindful of the time!! You will get turned around if you are early. The rooftop does have a nice view and shaded patio.

    Mojito mocktail deliciousness

I always look forward to visiting Shine, it's truly one of my favorite local spots. I especially love sitting at the bar where the laid-back, inviting vibe instantly puts you at ease. The bartenders are fantastic, and as someone who's worked in the service industry, I really appreciate the team's seamless coordination. There's never a shortage of friendly, attentive help when you need it. On my most recent visit, Joel, the bar manager, went above and beyond to accommodate my request for a mocktail. He crafted one of the tastiest mojito mocktails I've ever had, refreshing, perfectly balanced, and honestly worthy of a permanent spot on the menu! Dinner was wonderful from start to finish. We began with the escargot, and I loved that we were thoughtfully asked if we'd like bread to go with it (yes, please every time!). For mains, we enjoyed the steak frites, cooked to perfection, served with crispy fries and a delicious aioli, along with the goat cheese salad that featured stone fruit and a bright, flavorful vinaigrette. We couldn't resist taking dessert home, the chocolate peanut butter cake always a favorite and just as amazing as I remembered. Shine on, Shine. Shine on. I can't wait for my next visit!

Pedestrian fare..and we chose downstairs because it was supposed to be quieter, however the speaker music was blarblaring and the room looked like a bare basement. Mussels and salad were good, bbut the corned beef and the hushpuppies were awful. Hushpuppies so burnt we sent them back.

Great food. Excellent waiter. Beautiful Presentation! Matt is excellent ask for him and he will take great care of you .

What a neat spot. We went here on our staycation. Ordered the chopped bleu cheese salad and the french dip. Service was outstanding, our waitress was so sweet and attentive. Make sure to get the baguette with the tasty butters!

I went here multiple nights and always had a good time! I took a few buddies and we enjoyed the atmosphere. Our server was awesome and was very insightful. The food was absolutely incredible, everyone was extremely pleased. Highly recommended the King Cap Steak and a couple old fashions. The steak was cooked to perfection. ‍

We decided to try this place for a somewhat fancy date night. They have amazing service, and our server was knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. It's an approachable high quality restaurant, which we really appreciated. They have sandwiches and salads at a $12-20 price point and more expensive entree items, as well. We shared the lobster hush puppies appetizer. They were very delicious! I didn't think they needed the remoulade although it was good. I ordered the shrimp tortellini, and my husband had the pork tenderloin. I also tried the Zinfandel on the menu, and he had a Blake's hard cider. The drink selection is vast and pretty unique.

Great dinner spot in a small town. The seating after a certain time is very odd, as they no longer allow a wait list, which I found very confusing. But after driving all day from Orlando, I was willing to wait for a good meal. Pretzels- One of the fluffiest, softest Pretzels I've ever had. The texture was perfect, and so was the flavor. The included cheese had a little punch of beer, which I found lovely. Steak Sandwich - This overall lacked depth of flavor; however, it was cooked well, the meat was tender, and the flavor was good. House made Ginger Beer- This was a real surprise, this had real depth of flavor and was very refreshing.

We arrived on time to a half filled facility, told "wait over there" and waited 15 minutes to be seated at a group table with children and infants. Hmm not what I was led to believe from the restaurant that self describes first class ambience and dinning experience in a farm like setting. The menu is somewhat limited. Ok great chefs do that so they can assure perfection. The waitress immediately told us her favorites. That is code for management telling staff " push these items". After listening we chose several appetizer items. I opted for the carrots as I had never seen them listed for $17 dollars! My spouse ordered the PEI mussels that were eloquently described with chimichurri and white wine with lime and sourdough. Well everything arrived at once and we were under whelmed. My carrots turned out as a single carrot sliced lengthwise with a drizzle of dark sauce. One carrot for$17 ? The mussels, lukewarm warm with perhaps a teaspoon of broth with two hard lumps of over grilled sourdough bread that were hard as rocks and one half of a lime. Presentation was not even a thought. We both said we need something else. I ordered sourdough bread and a Caesar salad described as anchovy, vinaigrette, black pepper, Parmesan, biscuit bread crumbs, local kale. Ok, so you know how this is going to go. The sourdough was hard bread rolls that must of arrived from the day old section in Ingles. The Caesar salad was dropped off at the table. We looked at a giant mound of Parmesan cheese and 100% kale. That is not a Caesar salad that is kale salad. Remember kale used to be a decoration on food. Lest we forget the trout pate for 20 bucks that arrived in a baby food jar and had the consistency of melted mayonnaise. No flavor, none. I don't need to carry on but.... Check arrived with no desert offerings. We asked for the desert menus which is very slim. We ordered the crème brûlée. It was great!!! The check arrived again and we promptly paid and left our waitress a good tip on an erroneous check and left never to return
