Stopped by on a Saturday early evening. Hardly no one there. Had the schwartzbier it was very good. A few more people showed up before we left. Service was good. Small place. Brewery was downstairs but didn't go and look.

If I had reviewed this 2 years ago it would have been 3-4 stars because they were still figuring out their brews and service model. Now... they deserve 5 stars! First to note is that the brewery has multiple places for you to sit and sip, all of which have their own vibe. Of course there's the bar and bar seating area, which is pretty standard. Just off the bar, but still inside, is a short flight of stairs up to a loft area with couches and coffee tables. Tucked away around the back of the bar are a short flight of stairs down to a basement-type area that has darts and patio furniture. Outside the big door from the bar is a huge wood deck with picnic tables on the other side of the railing. So there's a space for however you're feeling today! The beers are pretty tasty, too! And their kitchen is open and ready with some really good pub food. I appreciate that they always have some flavor of dark beer on tap, which is a rare gem in this area that's so focused on IPA's. Pro tip: on Tuesdays, 22oz pours are $6!!!!

The styles here are spot on and the staff is very knowledgeable. Love the porch and the breeze on a June afternoon made this a favorite spot on our trip to HVL.

In the 1.5 years since, it's still the place I most often come back to in Hendersonville, despite sampling the food and beer at basically every place in town! I love the ambiance of the old converted gas station, the fact that you can sit inside or outside (and on chilly days, they don't skimp on the heaters) and the carousel of great food trucks that are always there. I love that you're not limited to one brewery's offerings, and instead have options from local NC establishments to interesting brews from all over the country. The bartenders know their regulars and are absolutely awesome, and I LOVE that I can take my pup, take my family, take my laptop---whatever the circumstances, Blue Ridge Beer Garden is the place to be. ALSO, it should be noted that in sleepy Hendo (where some restaurants close as early as 8 pm--why??), Blue Ridge Beer Garden is blessedly open till 10.

The beer tenders were friendly and knowledgeable about the beers. There's a little indoor seating, more seating in a secondary area with pull down canvas sides and then several tables on artificial turf for nice sunny days when you want to be completely outside. They are close to downtown Hendersonville without being right on the main road, which makes parking and access easier.

On their internet and drinking a "425 Pils", it was a pleasant evening and then back to the campervan for the night. Inside and outside seating. Out of all the breweries we hit on this trip, this one takes the crown!…read more From the minute we walked in and saw them making Jell-O shots, I knew this wasn't just a brewery, it was a party brewery. The kind of place where you stop in for "just one" and suddenly realize the sun has set and you've somehow made three new friends... aka my favorite kind of brewery! I wish we could've stayed for the live music because the stage setup looked awesome, complete with disco balls and plenty of Instagram-worthy areas for pictures and boomerangs (yes, I'm a millennial and I'm sticking with it)! The beers were excellent, and it became clear pretty quickly that this brewery is woven into the fabric of the town. Their brews popped up at several restaurants we visited, and after stopping in, I totally understand why they're so well-loved in the area. The space is huge, with high ceilings and plenty of room to spread out. There's even an outdoor area built out along the sidewalk--probably a COVID addition that was too good to take away. The vibe was laid-back and welcoming. Service at the bar could've been a bit more attentive, but everyone was friendly and chill, so it never bothered us. And my favorite moment? Watching a grandpa-aged regular stroll in with his own paper plate "poor man's charcuterie board." I absolutely loved it. That's the kind of place this is, a spot where regulars feel at home and newcomers instantly want to become regulars! No food that I could tell, but honestly, with great beer, good vibes, live music, disco balls, and Jell-O shots, who needs much else?! If you're brewery hopping around town, make sure this one is on your list. It was our favorite stop, and I'd happily spend an entire afternoon getting lost here. Also, not sure if the Jell-O shots are a staple or not so don't be sad if they aren't there, I didn't asked, just vibed lol
