Hot honey chicken sandwich +pimento cheese

Service was impressively fast, and the staff even switched the TV to the Oscars so we could watch, which was a thoughtful touch. The food was excellent across the board. I ordered the bacon grilled cheese, and it was seriously delicious--the only thing I would have changed is that I personally would have loved the bacon a bit crispier. We also sampled three beers, all of which were great. The High Country Honey had a subtle sweetness with a light hazelnut note. The Hatchet Coffee Porter was smooth with a rich roasted coffee flavor. My favorite was the El Chupacabra, which had a smooth profile with prominent vanilla and chocolate flavors. The ambiance was relaxed and welcoming, and the prices were extremely reasonable. Overall, it was a great experience. I would definitely recommend it and am already looking forward to coming back.

Outstanding brewery we went to with a delicious selection of beer to go with your food. We sat outside and even though it was cold out they had heaters to compensate. The service was great and the ambience was modern with many people just hanging out enjoying themselves. We would come back!

Crispy Brussels sprouts appetizer- very tasty!

I can't count the number of times someone has recommended this place. Booneshine has a really lovely overall atmosphere. It's in a great location of east Boone, right near a trail and Brookshire park. (And Cheap Joes art peeps!) The service was great, our waitress was so sweet and attentive. All the staff we talked to were super friendly. The brussel sprouts appetizer was delicious, super crispy and fun flavors. I enjoyed my hot honey sandwich - it was nicely fried - crispy on the outside but not overly breaded. And the chicken was still juicy. The fries were good and if you are a ranch fan, I recommend getting some for dipping. My mom got the salad, which she enjoyed. We appreciated they had the option to get a small or large salad. It would be great if there were options to add a protein to the salad. But they do give lots of options for building meals, so it's not a problem. We didn't taste any beer, but I definitely plan to next time I'm there. They had a great variety available, with the option for a full or half pint. I always appreciate places that give the half pint option, cause I usually never want a full pint. I also want to mention that Booneshine started a clothing drive days after Hurricane Helene hit and has been doing a ton to support the local community as we recover from the storm. They care about the community and that says a lot about the people who run and work there If you are in the area, definitely stop by. Great place to sit outside and enjoy a beer and some tasty food. I didn't try the pretzel, but that's top of my list for next time!

Our 2nd visit to Booneshine, but our first time eating dinner here. We came on a Thurs night (less than a week after Hurricane Helene) around 6PM and sat on the patio. Of course, I had to try the IPA's....Space Pegasus ($7) and Pop-A-Can ($7) and enjoyed them both...Pop-A-Can was my favorite. My bride ordered the Large Veggie Flatbread ($16) and I had the Hot Honey Chicken ($13) with small fries ($4)....they were solid and met expectations. Service from Charles was excellent!

If there is one thing I would recommend to this place, it would be to get QR code ordering on the outer ring of the patio and also the beer garden. I came here by myself with my dog, and I couldn't leave my stuff behind to go get another drink. If I had the QR ordering, I would have had another beer (so they would have made another sale). I came here at 5:30pm on a Friday. I was told the seating for dinner was at least an hour to an hour and a half. I said that was fine, I would just get a drink. I could go into the bar to get it and then I found my seat. I was lucky to get a parking spot and it was VERY tight so be careful.

This such a great local spot off the beaten path in Boone. It's first come first served but if you arrive at a decent hour (beating the crowds or the weekend rush) then you'll be happy you stopped in. The whole setup is partly indoor and partly outdoor. If you get seated inside then you get full service and accessibility to the menu. If you're outside there's a food truck with a smaller menu and a beer tent you can order from. The first time I came here it was on a weekday evening fairly early, so we were able to sit inside. I got one of their burgers and fries and it was really delicious. The beer I ordered was surprisingly good--I believe I got Space Pegasus. The whole place is great for groups and it's family friendly. Definitely a new local favorite spot.

We have seen this place advertised in the past but never had the chance to check it out. Until now. When you arrive, you'll notice the parking lot is dirt and gravel, just so you know in case your shoes mean a great deal to you. Just mentioning this in case it rains. Walking up, you'll notice outdoor covered seating and a welcome podium where you wait to be seated. You'll have your choice of booth-like or high bar still seats. Also to note, this place is dog friendly. A big plus for you animal lovers out there. The bar is bustling with all sorts of beers on tap as well as hard ciders. There is something here for all tastes. The food menu is a little Limited but yet enough to satisfy most tastes. We were seating promptly and our server was friendly and efficient. She also answered any questions we had about the menu or drinks available. We ordered the pretzel as an appetizer with beer cheese. I got the fries honey chicken sandwich and my wife got the pimento cheese BLT and we also got fries. All the food was very good. The chicken sandwich was the crispiest, crunchiest chicken I've ever eaten. Absolutely wonderful. The fries were hot and fresh and my wife's pimento BLT had delicious pimento cheese and crisp, fresh lettuce, tomato and crispy bacon. I had one of their drafts and my wife got one of their fraught hard ciders. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. The place is clean and well-lit. Service was very good as was the food. We've been back since since this visit. Like most things the last few years, it's not cheap to eat and drink here. With one drink each and food, a couple can expect to spend $40-$50 plus tip. But like I've said before, I don't mind paying for good food. You owe it to yourself to give these guys a try. You'll have a great time and a great meal.

This brewery was my favorite thus far while visiting Boone. The outdoor seating makes a great spot for friends and family to get together and enjoy the weather as well as live music/food trucks when occurring! Service was friendly as they offered help in choosing a beverage to try. They allowed samples for different beers before being able to choose. The food was also so delicious! Perfect place for a good weather day outside. Cant wait to go back and try the other brews !

This place is busy! We went about 7:30 on a Friday evening and had a 1 hour wait. While waiting, you can grab a beer and sit outside and one of the many picnic tables to relax and wait. We were seated around 8:20 and were informed that the kitchen closed at 9, so any food order needed to be in by then. All the food and beer we tried were amazing. I love the vibe here. The big open spaces with tons of seating set up in a way that even though the place is packed, it doesn't feel like it. We will definitely be back when we are in the area! Did not have a signal most of the time we were there, so only a few pictures

Fun place to grab some beer, food, and enjoy good company. Every time we stop by Boone to reminisce about being young at App State, we grab a pint and breathe in the mountain air. The staff are friendly, you have tvs to watch the game, and plethora of options to imbibe or drink. I ordered the veggie flatbread, not pictured, and 2 beers. High Country Honey- easy light, semi sweet beer. Jean Schwarz- not my favorite. Has an odd aftertaste.

Great brewery! Came here on a rainy Saturday with friends and it was packed. Put our name in for a table inside, but was still able to get a drink at the bar before our table was ready. They do offer wine and ciders for the gluten free folks and have gf menu items. I enjoyed a cider and a yummy chocolate torte. Perk -- fun murals on the wall for great photos! Also, free wifi.

We also ordered the Brazilian steak, which was cooked perfectly and came with great plantains. The quinoa with tofu was good, too, though it was a little dry and would have been perfect with a sauce. The service really stood out. Our waitress was incredibly attentive and refilled my water at least four times without me asking. Great ambiance and an all-around good experience. But I wiggled my vehicle into a tight spot and went in for a burger and a beer. I believe there were about 10 to 12 options available on tap, and I went with what was listed as an Irish stout from somewhere in the Northeast. It wasn't bad, though it seemed more like an imperial stout. My sandwich choice was the Cowboy, with ground elk at its core. It was a good choice too, and the accompanying fried onions and melted cheese complemented the meat well. I ordered the burger medium, but I think I'd go for medium rare if I could go back in time. The medium option wasn't bad, but I think a little less heat and a little more moisture would only make things better. I kept things simple with the side item, going for the fries which were of the thinly sliced McDonald's variety, not bad but nothing remarkable. The server covering my table was pleasant and prompt, though soft spoken so I occasionally had to ask her to repeat herself amidst the music and noise. I wouldn't call any of these selections a bargain, but the prices didn't veer too far from what you'll find in many burger joints. All in all, not an earthshaking experience, but a place I'd be willing to go back to. 3.5 stars.

My burger was delicious and above and beyond any fast-food burger I have had before, at comparable prices. They serve grass-fed beef, chuck, round and sirloin. It is fresh, not frozen, and the meats are without hormones. My portion of fries was large, and I couldn't finish them. A smaller portion option would have been nice. I found the setup here confusing, as I wasn't sure where to enter from the parking lot, and then I wasn't sure where to order. Ordering is done at the kiosk or via a QR code. So expect a wait for the kiosk. I use kiosks and apps often, but this particular system was not smooth. I found the kiosk not as easy to use as it should have been; after I selected what I wanted, there was no way to get to the next screen to check out. I went with the build-your-own and was also disappointed that tomatoes weren't an option to add to the burger, but maybe they were out. They are a cashless business. When your order is ready, it is placed on a front cart, while drinks and sauces are self-serve. If I return, I will likely stick to the drive-thru, as that seems to be a much smoother ordering experience. Having a real person take your order and hand you everything you need at the window beats fighting with the kiosk inside.

Their bartenders are, to a person, superlative. Haley, Lexi, and Emily (still in-training, though…read moreshe has more-than-ample experience) were all professional and delightful this Boonerang weekend. If only the establishment would spring for cable during the World Cup, my experience of The Social as a "sports bar" would've been unparalleled compared to the other pretenders who decided the U.S. Open was the only "sport" worth airing. If I'd only come for wings and such, I'd've had no notes. But guys, your salads are culinarily (and decidedly) confused. My burrata was delivered atop a spiral of beefsteak wedges, nestled among wild greens, with zero seasoning, which is a hate crime when it comes to tomatoes; golden beets would've elevated it considerably, normally without much consideration... however. I'd thankfully chosen to add salmon, which was cooked to perfection, saving the dish. Haley suggested salt and pepper, which was a clutch move. Given the pleasant part of my previous experience, the salmon salad I ordered two nights later was even more discombobulated. Emily asked what kind of dressing I'd prefer, and I managed to avoid recoiling from the options provided: bleu cheese, ranch, thousand island... and then, finally, a cilantro-lime vinaigrette - the only suitable option. Instead of a deep plate, this was served essentially as a "bowl" that one might receive from delivery, only in a ceramic vessel. "Crispy" garbanzo beans (?!) were in one section of the plate, worse green olives than came with my martinis in another, four sad cucumber slices and pickled red onions in yet another, and in the saddest section, under-cooked yellow beets - half-run through a mandoline to make matchsticks, only still-connected at one end into slices to make Hell-deemed beet sporks. Again, all atop mixed greens, which are commonly available, even at Wal-Mart. I didn't deign to more than glance at my neighbors' plates, for fear I'd take even more offense, but the people making food at The Social are either under-staffed or inexperienced, as being unserious would likely wash out if anyone were to pay attention. Regardless, management is to blame for such disappointing experiences, and not their cooks, and certainly not their bartenders. Do better by Boone, and stop reinforcing the notion that standards are somehow lower in the High Country. Don't make me go to Macado's when I visit again next year.

The chips were a good portion but each one came with maybe one ounce of each sauce...for the 7 of us. We asked for extras and so she brought out one of each... I ordered a chicken vegetable soup which the menu stated was served with a cornbread muffin. When the soup came there was no cornbread so I asked for that and upon her return she said it would be an extra $2.50 even though I literally pointed to the menu to show her that was not written anywhere lol The soup was okay, probably Would've been better with the muffin but I wasn't going to argue over it anymore. For my entree I got two southwest chicken tacos. And those were disappointing as well. Packed with a lot but just did not deliver on flavor, and the poblano cremosa salsa I got was pretty bland too. Overall sentiment from other friends was similar- they ordered bowls, burritos etc but found a lot was left to be desired with their dishes. Come payment time, I opted to use cash since the menu stated 3% surcharge for credit. When I gave her a $20, she returned my tab (after processing the others who put a card in) and I explained I had left cash, to which she asked "oh do you want me to give you a 10 and two 5s?"
