Walking around Boone, we popped into this bar/restaurant to listen to some live music, take a load off and enjoy a beer. Located in the heart of down town, but not on King St (the main road), but a street back instead. The staff were friendly, and welcoming. They provided us with menus, and had pretty nice selection of both beers and food, offering burgers, sandwiches, and wings, salads and more. Came in here a little after the lunch rush on a Saturday. The menu overall looked pretty decent, but I personally just needed a small bite so I got something from the Short Stops side of the menu. I believe I got the Sea Dog and was alright but nothing ground breaking. My brother and his GF got the wings I think and they seemed to enjoy those, so next time I'll have to give that a try. Our food did take a little long to come out, especially considering they didn't seem to be very busy, but maybe they were short staffed. The vibe of the place is super casual and it's very family/group oriented. I would definitely like to come back in the future to give their wider menu options a try. read more

Fizz Ed is fizz-nomenal! It's located in downtown Boone and has a colorful and comfortable vibe inside. The menu is creative with something for everyone. A lot of interesting takes on familiar classics. They also have a really great selection of drinks and mocktails. I love places that have quality mocktails, so everyone can get a nice drink who wants one. Our server was Caleb, who was great! He gave helpful recommendations, checked on us often (but not too often) and could not have been nicer. All the staff we interacted with was friendly. I had the double dogs which were really tasty. Make them sloppy for sure! The buns they use really amp these dogs to the next level. They also have homemade salad dressings and I love that you can get a salad as a side. Loved the truffle Parmesan peppercorn dressing. This was my first time here but I'll definitely be back. It's one of my new favorites in Boone! read more

If you are debating going to this restaraunt, go!!! So glad we found it. First off it was decorated so uniquely and there are plenty of tables. There were also a couple TV's with sports on. Our server was so nice and attentive. We loved the drink menu! So many unique drinks and lots of mocktails (they do contain aperitif though so not pregnancy friendly). They have lots of fun kids drinks- some even dye free which we loved!!!! The food is typical bar food but they had tons of options- different portion sizes too. It was good!! How lucky we stumbled upon this gem in Boone during a big game day weekend. The food was wonderful with lots of choices and definitely a fresh, healthier twist on bar food. We sat at the bar and I'm not sure if the bartender was new or just overwhelmed but it took a minute for us to be greeted - my sweet tea was forgotten about after the other two people in my party got their beers. Food took a while to come out and both people in my party ordered the sea dogs (which comes with two) For some reason they only brought out one each and said the second one would come out shortly - meanwhile my chicken caesar salad came out after my group had finished their first dog. Salad was delicious but pretty small for a $14-$16 price tag. Not sure I would go back - especially since we were there on a day trip. read more

This place was so different than everywhere in Boone. It is a much more family friendly vibe with many more games and fun menu. They have a great kids menu with fun names for drinks. We liked playing the indoor cornhole which people can play with drinks or while waiting for a table. The best was all the staff was super friendly. read more

Cool vibes exist here. Our waitress was on point, just the right amount of attention. We shared a hot dog as an appetizier. They have been voted best hotdogs for last 2 yrs. There's definitely a reason for it. Comes on a toasted bread, we had ours w sloppy Joe chili and white slaw. The actual hotdogs was very flavorful by itself but with the toppings it is like harmony in ur mouth. Wow, very good, very very good. The service was incredible. The food was astonishing, I've never had any better tossed buffalo chicken tenders in my life, and the fact that they come with two sides is really nice. Their macaroni is awesome, and their fries are very good, I recommend getting the chicken tenders tossed in buffalo (Dip them in ranch too), the buffalo is just the right amount of spice. The interior was good, I love the paintings on the wall, and the vending machine is very cool as well. Overall, this may be one of my favorite stops on my trip to North Carolina. read more

The chip side was so good great burger too. I love the beer selections one thing I cannot ignore, though is the terrible sea dog entrée. It was advertised as strips of cod on a brioche bun and it was pretty much too hotdog with two tiny bites of cod on each one the size of chicken nuggets could barely even taste the fish when I eat it. I would've sent it back if I wasn't so hungry, would never order that again though. Was not expecting much but was treated warmly, had a delicious lunch (grilled cheese with sloppy Joe filler) with side of veggies and house made hummus. Sourdough bread and hi quality beef made this my new favorite sandwich for a rainy winter day! My buddy got the California smash burger. Clean fresh feel with good sports on the big screens. It's funny when you walk into a place and you can tell by the service and the awesome staff that the owners really care about you and about providing a great experience. Highly recommend. We were looking around all night to find a place to eat beacuse everywhere was at least a half hour wait (holiday weekend), when we came across this cute little restaurant. For starters the servers were not only nice, but really funny. They did a good job making you feeling welcome. I got the "Flyer" which was a naan wrap with chicken, grilled peppers and onions, pickled radish, cheese, etc. In short, the food was AMAZING! They had good variety in their menu without too much repetitive dishes. The vibe of the place was super fun and trendy. The lighting was nice aswell. Me and my gang of lads bubbled on over to this place supposedly called fizz ed on our way we stumbled upon a rancid squirrel named Kate Weureauppex. The squirrel proceeded to follow us into this lovely establishment we sat down and the squirrel went banananananannas. it spilled out lovely drinks all over . Very nice waitress helped us with our spill that Kate Weureauppex caused. Anyways I got the drink with the fishes and went diggin for them mmmmmm. We also got into a heated game of Uno so heated that Keatyns head lit on fire . I won both games btw. There was actually no squirrel do not worry very good restaurant though. read more

i went to this place with a group of friends on vacation recently, and had just recently turned 21. when we went to order drinks the waiter ID'd us but confiscated my real ID and bent it saying "real IDs don't have lamination." when i asked for my ID back he refused to give it up, and eventually after a lot of back and forth he folded to go get his manager. the manager then gave the ID back and asked us all to leave the restaurant. we gladly left and were served somewhere else, but i now have a good crease down the middle of my ID. Edit: after the owners response, i will clear up the fact that it was my government issued ID. that was the only reason i was adamant on getting it back. all 3 of our IDs had lamination, mine just happened to peel in the corner because i've had it since i was 15. there won't be a next time but if there was i will skip the arguing and go ahead and call the cops. read more

A few days ago, my family ate here and this place looks amazing, and the food was good, but my server, Ashlyn, was inattentive and took forever to get things done. Considering the restaurant was on the slower side in the mornings, it was quite frustrating. Additionally, the prices were higher than expected with small portions. Those prices won't hold up in a college town. I would use that place as a bar because the drinks were amazing! read more
