Food - phenomenal Ambiance - trying too hard Service - lackluster The food is worth a visit but the service was so misaligned with the seeming commitment to creating a welcome environment. Signage is totally undermined when no one greets you when you walk in and it's dead quiet mid afternoon and your bartender sighs and walks over like it's a genuine burden to do their job and won't make eye contact. We would come back but lower our expectations for service.

Place is brand new. In the 3 years I've lived here, it's been many different places and I've never stepped inside once. I finally came here last night after hearing rave reviews from friends' friends. Food options are plentiful, and at least what I tasted, it was delicious. Presentation included. I was admittedly tipsy, but I don't think that contributed to how good the food was. The drink options are plentiful and are at a reasonable price -- including a controversial YooHoo mixed drink alcohol (it was delicious but people who didn't taste it thought it looked scary!). The photo booth stole my $5 which pissed me off, but otherwise I had a great time hanging out there. Cutty Bage did fantastic artwork in the restroom. The outside area is nice to hang out on - especially in Boone weather - and there's even air hockey. Updated to 4 stars after hearing from other friends how much they enjoyed this place and the kind and personalized Yelp response from the business owner.

Stellar. All the way around. We ordered the cheese fries with literally everything atop. They didn't make the photo cut lol demolished! 10/10 would recommend

As an ASU alum and frequent visitor of Boone and the surrounding areas, my husband and I decided to try out Lily's as a pregame option before an ASU basketball game. I must say this is my new favorite place to eat in Boone! Our server was friendly and attentive. The owner stopped by our table to check on us as well. The decor was eclectic and funky and gave off a good vibe. There were so many delicious options for us to choose. We decided to go for it and ordered two appetizers... The buffalo cauliflower with (what looked like) homemade blue cheese dressing and the potato wedges fully loaded. They were both excellent choices and you could tell great care was taken in their preparation. For our main course, I ordered the fried chicken sandwich (cucumber tomato salad as the side) and my husband had the gyro cheesesteak with a side of fried pickles. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy. The bacon (crispy and plentiful) added a great touch! The tomato cucumber salad added a fresh kick to the meal. The feta and tangy dressing kicked it up a notch. The gyro meat was both flavorful and tender. My husband is a self-proclaimed "connoisseur" of fried pickles and loved them! The menu provides many unique flavor combinations and profiles. We will be back this summer to sample more of the menu!

    Some decor

Reading some reviews we were a little iffy... on first glance looks like a cool local divey joint with a nice outdoor area! We walked In vibe was low key...music was good but loud and we were only here for food and a quick drink as it's like the only place open! We chose outside seating because the music was loud but to our surprise there was an amazing heater and it wasn't as cold as we thought it would be...imfact it wasn't cold at all! I sat and waited fir my husband to get some menus when I saw the C.R.E.A.M. (COPS RUIN EVERYTHING AROUND ME) sticker and while I didn't appreciate the sticker since my husband is an officer and retired military...everyone is entitled to how they feel so it is what it is because the place is clearly a "stoner" college type hang out! Our food came out fairly quickly. I had lily's stack with potato wedges my husband had a burger and it was all absolutely delicious! So delicious! The cook served us and he was amazingly pleasant and was eager to go above and beyond though not necessary at all! The bartender came over and checked on us and she was as sweet , accomodating and as kind as can be! Upon leaving I used the restroom and it was rough to say the least with a broken trash can and urine all over the seat however I mean it's an awesome college spot and it takes a while to potty train puppies. I will say I was so appreciative that there are signs against sexual violence as well as signs staying its a safe place for those who find themselves in a a sexually or dometically biolent situation all over, a spot for free condoms and tampons if needed and a sign staying they Carry naloxon (narcan) in the event of an overdose! More places should model themselves after the selfless display of responsibility to our fellow humans like this place has! We will absolutely be back To the owner...thank you!

    Outdoor seating

An absolutely amazing find. We came in yesterday and couldn't stop taking pictures to send our friends and family. Every sign is amazing. Every single one! We felt so at peace and welcomed with the vaccination proof requirements and masking procedures. It was especially needed after finding out masks are not a guarantee in the surrounding areas. The food was great!! The service was even greater!!!The server was so helpful, with me being gluten free and vegan, he was never shy about checking with the kitchen and making sure every ingredient they used for the dishes was safe for me. An absolute dream of a place. We're from Charlotte and that was one of the only restaurants we have eaten (outdoors) at since the start of the pandemic in 2020 and we left the restaurant saying we wished we had one of these in our city.

The room walls are thin so we heard a lot of noise from the outside waking us up early in the morning. They had really nice robes. They also had a sound machine in the room. We had a thing on the wall that would randomly flash at night and beep. We had issues with the bathroom. The door would not close all the way and We could not get hot water when we tried to shower late at night. We had to go to the front desk and they had to call maintenence which took a bit to work through the issue. Eventually they got the hot water back but an annoying time waster. They discount our stay at 10% for the issue. The breakfast was really nice full of local pastries. The staff was so nice and friendly. The lobby area and bar was super nice and had a cute vibe. The roof top is super pretty at nice with nice fire pits. The staff was super friendly. I would have rated a 4 star but the price was high plus the issues we had knocked it down a star.

Our favorite part was the location. It was so conveniently located. They have a front door with access to king street and a back door to Howard street which was convenient. We were able to come and go easily. The rooms aren't huge but had everything we needed including a mini fridge and the shower was really nice. Of note- it didn't have a huge window in the room, just a small one towards the ceiling. There was a tv with lots of channels and a channel guide. We received some coupons and recommendations to nearby businesses which was a nice touch. Our experience was a bit different because it was very snowy so we couldn't enjoy the rooftop bar. The parking was also tricky- they have a loading zone right in front for checking in, but we circled the block several times and it was taken every time so it was kind of a pain to unload our car. We also had trouble finding the parking lot (even with the address, directions and map) which is behind the hotel, across the street and diagonal from the hotel. We had to circle a few times to find it. But that may have just been because it was dark and snowing. Our favorite part was definitely the breakfast. It is at the downstairs bar. It is complementary when you purchase the parking pass, and you order what you want from a menu. They have lots of options, including fresh fruit, hard-boiled eggs, and lots of pastries and baked goods from stick boy bakery in town. We love stick boy so this was amazing! So high quality and tasty! They also have other things available for purchase like avocado toast. They also have coffee from a local coffee shop available all day. We would go back!!!

But I wiggled my vehicle into a tight spot and went in for a burger and a beer. I believe there were about 10 to 12 options available on tap, and I went with what was listed as an Irish stout from somewhere in the Northeast. It wasn't bad, though it seemed more like an imperial stout. My sandwich choice was the Cowboy, with ground elk at its core. It was a good choice too, and the accompanying fried onions and melted cheese complemented the meat well. I ordered the burger medium, but I think I'd go for medium rare if I could go back in time. The medium option wasn't bad, but I think a little less heat and a little more moisture would only make things better. I kept things simple with the side item, going for the fries which were of the thinly sliced McDonald's variety, not bad but nothing remarkable. The server covering my table was pleasant and prompt, though soft spoken so I occasionally had to ask her to repeat herself amidst the music and noise. I wouldn't call any of these selections a bargain, but the prices didn't veer too far from what you'll find in many burger joints. All in all, not an earthshaking experience, but a place I'd be willing to go back to. 3.5 stars.

The skillet chocolate chip cookie arrived a bit before both of our drinks, which was a bit odd considering we had waited probably 15 minutes without drinks. As far as the cocktails, we ordered the Cynar Old Fashioned and the Buffalo Heard. The old fashioned was good, though I didn't notice the flavor of the Cynar at all. It was very dry, which I like, but may not be for you if you like a sweeter old fashioned. The Buffalo Heard was light and refreshing, with a nice bit of the bourbon shining through. Overall, the cocktails were quite good. It's a unique spot, and has a lot of potential. It appears they are still ironing out a few kitchen/bar/service kinks, but I think these are all small things.
