    Game in parking lot

Traditional Sports Bar-That's a good thing. It's the reason I came. KC game was suckingly not airing on CBS here so I HAD to go elsewhere to watch the game. I wanted a place where I could scream obnoxiously and not seem out of place. I found the perfect place here. Ambiance gives a great sporty feeling. Customers are all nice - no fighting yet. Staff is friendly and efficient. Food "according to people sitting beside me was "really good" and it was their first time here. They ordered the popular Ale House Burger that comes with pimento cheese and bacon plus other goodies. These were some HUGE burgers. I can't comment on the beer as I don't like it. Drafts (local and non) were very good according to other customers. I chose the drink special of a mimosa. Great! I would definitely come back again. Only complaint I have is the lack of parking spaces. This is so close to App State that parking is a premium.

Wing night is the best night! If you go later than 6:30, there is usually a wait. As the weather gets nicer, it's always a treat to sit on the patio. The wings are cheap and the sauces are good! Check their website for more details. I always go for a chill evening of dining and watching a game on the tvs!

$4 margarita at River Street Ale House on Monday!

Yet another new to us place to eat in Boone. It was a late lunch and this place sounded good. It was a Monday and there weren't many people. Not surprising for a late lunch. Love the atmosphere here. Reminds me of the bars from home. The bartender greeted us and got us our drinks and menus. They have something for everyone so make sure to take time to find out what appeals to you. Bonus for the wife: $4 margaritas on Monday! SCORE! She ended up getting 2 and they were very good, they didn't short the tequila either. I opted for the cheesesteak and my wife got a bacon cheeseburger. We both got fries. The burger and cheesesteak were excellent. Fresh and hot. The fries were also good. Our server was friendly and checked on us frequently. If you check the reviews, the lo reviews tend to be from people that were throw out of there by the bouncer. Take that for what it's worth. We had a great experience and will definitely go back. It's off the main drag and tucked into a small place but worth seeking out. Enjoy!

    Terrifying bartender

Absolutely loved the music of course but yall need a better bartender for Saturdays. Maybe one who isn't a man child. The man/bartender in the white T-shirt all the way to the right of this picture I have an issue with. I was closing out and God forbid, wait for it, I was having such a great time at your bar getting wasted that I forgot I said I wanted to close out and walked away before I could sign. So the moment I realized that I went back up to add the tip. So I went back up to one of the bartenders and said "hey I forgot to add a tip. Could I get it re printed" First of all This Saturday the girl with the white tank top, short brunnete, was rude as well. Heard other girls in the stall, talking about her and her service too. She gave me a dirty look when I asked to get it reprinted. Like sorry I'm trying to the bare minimum and tip for a service. Then the white tshirt guy/bartender who was taking my drinks the entire night comes back over to fill up his water bottle and glares at me. Which I'm like OK that's fine. Like he thought I was being an asshole and didn't tip. But I was standing there ready to add a tip on. So despite all this loser energy I'm getting I'm still going to tip. But when that white T-shirt guy comes back, Opens up a beer for another customer and chucks the bottle cap right in front of my face. That's when I walked out and decide I'm not tipping. Look, I understand bartenders are human. They're sober at a place where everyone's drunk. But if you're a bartender, you need to have patience. I don't ever write reviews. This is in fact my second one. When it comes to a man who is making my drinks and he doesn't make me feel safe because he chucks a bottle cap at me... I draw the line there. What I do love about this bar is the hella buff black bouncer who is always joking around and at the same time making sure he does his job at monitoring some sketchy things. He had a foam finger on last night lol. The others ones are so serious which I get but it's nice to have one who doesn't strike fear in your soul. If I do end up going again I hope that girl with the glasses and the claw clip in her hair who always wears the black tank is there becuase she is THE bartender. Definitely college bar material but they have a mature crowd as well. I sat at the bar, wings were actually some of the best I've had in Boone. Prices are fair and the bartender was super attentive. They have specials every day on drinks/alcoholic beverages and they got Jell-O shots! Totally dig this place

I had a great time eating, drinking, and doing a comedy show last night. Boone is a college town, but Rivers Street Ale House is much more. The menu is far more extensive. The management goes out of there way to entertain the crowd, too. I will be back to visit Boone as that part of NC is beautiful and a big part of the trip will be hitting Rivers Street!

    Nachos with chicken
    Mikaela B.

Stopped in here for lunch and was sadly not impressed. Our waitress seemed pretty irritated every time she had to come to the table and we needed something. The food was less than appealing.. I had sweet tea that tasted like it had been made at least 3-4 days ago. Several of us got the nachos and the bottom 75% of the chips were bare, and the salsa tasted really plain and not very fresh. Ramp up these nachos - my suggestion: swap this stale salsa for fresh chopped pico de gallo. Layer the toppings so more chips are covered. Add cilantro and lime wedge. Chop the chicken up smaller, so you get more than 3 pieces.

Like, actual disgusting racism happening right in front of everyone, and the staff couldn't care less. He saw this Latino guy just trying to grab a drink at the bar, and this group of white women just absolutely went off on him. They were screaming slurs and calling him the most terrible names. It wasn't a joke or a misunderstanding; it was blatant, sickening, targeted hate speech. This is Boone, right? It's supposed to be chill, but apparently, not at this place. My boyfriend immediately went to the bouncer--the guy who's supposed to keep things safe--and told him exactly what was happening. And the bouncer's official response? He said he couldn't do anything. Seriously?! A grown man is being harassed with racial slurs, and your security just shrugs and walks away? That's not just unprofessional; that's actively letting racism happen on your property. It's like they're totally cool with it. I am livid. My friends and I are DONE with Elevation 3333. No way are we giving business to a place that allows blatant disrespect and racism to run wild and then won't lift a finger to stop it. This is beyond gross. Spread the word--if they let this kind of stuff happen, they don't deserve our money.

There are several sides to choose from. Wife got the VooDoo chicken sandwich and fries. She said it was excellent. Mae got the Mountain of Nachos with chicken. All the food was excellent. The nachos could sleazily feed 3 hungry adults. Just be aware if you order it. It's massive. Love the atmosphere, food and service. But I wiggled my vehicle into a tight spot and went in for a burger and a beer. I believe there were about 10 to 12 options available on tap, and I went with what was listed as an Irish stout from somewhere in the Northeast. It wasn't bad, though it seemed more like an imperial stout. My sandwich choice was the Cowboy, with ground elk at its core. It was a good choice too, and the accompanying fried onions and melted cheese complemented the meat well. I ordered the burger medium, but I think I'd go for medium rare if I could go back in time. The medium option wasn't bad, but I think a little less heat and a little more moisture would only make things better. I kept things simple with the side item, going for the fries which were of the thinly sliced McDonald's variety, not bad but nothing remarkable. The server covering my table was pleasant and prompt, though soft spoken so I occasionally had to ask her to repeat herself amidst the music and noise. I wouldn't call any of these selections a bargain, but the prices didn't veer too far from what you'll find in many burger joints. All in all, not an earthshaking experience, but a place I'd be willing to go back to. 3.5 stars.

It felt like a Southern snack platter put together by someone who actually cares about balance and flavor. I ordered the pickled salad with chicken, and it was right up my alley. Fresh greens, great textures, pops of color, and the chicken was nicely seasoned and grilled. The dressing had that bright, tart thing going on that makes you want more of it. I would absolutely get this again. My husband got the Cassie salad, and while he said it was "fine," even he admitted everything was fresh and well done.
