Hearth and Herron is exactly the kind of restaurant you hope will open in your town. The menu is ingredient-driven in the best possible way: seasonal, fresh, local and full of plates that are great for sharing. Each dish we tried was creative yet approachable, thoughtfully composed without being overcomplicated or pretentious. And the full bar includes a well-curated wine list and local beers that feel as thoughtfully chosen as everything else. All of this makes for a dining experience that feels both exciting and comforting. Some of our favorite appetizers were the Carolina gold rice croquettes, winter squash, fried chicken and heirloom tomatoes with local burrata. Service was exceptional--warm, knowledgeable and genuinely enthusiastic about the food and concept. The atmosphere is stylish without being stuffy, welcoming without trying too hard. Prices are very reasonable given the exquisite quality, making Hearth and Herron equally perfect as a go-to neighborhood spot or a place to celebrate a special occasion. After just one visit, I can already tell this is a restaurant I'll return to again and again.

The winter salad. Huge! Colorful, locally sourced, delicious.

Finally, after about 8 visits, we tried the pizza. Not surprisingly it was AMAZING! Thin crust, beautifully garnished, and the wood-fired crust was perfect. Also a first, my wife had the pasta dish. Perfect. We shared the winter salad, definitely large enough to share, creative and delicious. Service, as always, was perfect. The warm friendly atmosphere was especially pleasing on a cold winter night.

Great experience at this new restaurant on 7th Ave. We tried the peach salad which was so refreshing & delish. The roasted Corn pizza was cooked to perfection in the wood fired oven. Also tried the Rigatoni Pasta, the Lamb & the Pie in a jar for dessert. Everything was so yummy & the service was warm & friendly. We can't wait to go back.

I can't remember the exact names of the entrées but they were all AMAZING. We also had pork belly and the house made pita (excellent!) Food: excellent, service: amazing, atmosphere: fabulous. Highly recommend!

We did not make a reservation so we were only able to sit at the bar. The two bartenders were so friendly and knowledgeable about the ingredients in the menu. Food was next level, highly recommend the chicken. The ambiance was very rustic and stylish.

The property where this horseshoe farm sits is just so beautiful. We parked at the spa and walked to the silo restaurant. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted immediately and took a seat by the fireplace while waiting for my parents to arrive. We then ordered a drink and went and sat on the patio since they were running just a little bit late. Upon arrival, we were greeted once again by our waitress that took our order and kept our water and tea filled to the brim. We ordered the soup of the day and shared the Lamburgesa. The soup was served piping hot and broth was delicious. The lamb was so flavorful, but we opted to have the jalapenos on the side. My parents ordered the Broad Burger and were equally pleased.

This restaurant was a mile away and we decided to stop there first. It's a bit of a drive from the N Rigby entrance to the the cookhouse but a beautiful ride with green fields and a stunning view of Mt. Pisgah. We were greeted by a hostess who brought us to the porch in the rear. The first thing I noticed was the sound of many voices to both sides. It was more obvious upon entering that there were multiple groups seated at both sides along community tables. We were seated in the middle of the table to the right and chose to sit across from each other. Our server, Kara, was pleasant and helpful. We ordered from the brunch menu we were given by the hostess. I ordered the scrambled egg bowl and enjoyed the best tasting egg flavor I've had in a long time. The greens, pickled onions, feta cheese and other vegetables complimented the dish perfectly. My partner wasn't sure about ground lamb ( since there are several renditions of it) but took a chance with the lamb burger and was glad she did. The fries that came with it we shared; they were crispy as we like them. She ordered a virgin bloody Mary and enjoyed it. That said the Worcestershire sauce flavor was quite pronounced and it might not be to everyone's liking. We have had several lunches and brunches over the last several days and this was the least $. I think we adjusted to the sound level after a few minutes and did strike up a conversation with some folks who came in after we did and sat nearby.

Our water and drinks were empty multiple times. Unfortunately, the food was underwhelming and extremely overpriced, especially for Hendersonville. I ordered the banh mi and wouldn't recommend it. The small sandwich was overwhelmed with mayo and lacked the traditional Vietnamese flavors I was expecting. To make matters worse, it was $18 and didn't even come with a side which felt unreasonable. For that price, I would much rather dine at Postero across the street. The restaurant asked if we were celebrating anything, and we mentioned a major accomplishment for our friend. While the waitress acknowledged it several times which was kind it was disappointing to learn that there was no complimentary dessert or gesture. At that point, repeatedly bringing it up felt unnecessary. Given the high reviews, I expected a much better experience. Unfortunately, I don't see myself returning.

Looking on Yelp we found this place. Kelly at the front desk was able to get us in. Thank you so much!! The service was amazing. Tammy, our waitress , was very courteous and helpful in helping us decide on what to order. Often checking in to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Totally love the ambiance. The pianist really added to the atmosphere. Very talented. Chef Lance even came out and chatted with us. What a cool guy! Not only an amazing chef but also an artist as well. His masterpieces adorn the walls further adding to the atmosphere. The food was exceptional. We had the Chilean sea bass , special of the night , and the lobster appetiser. DELICIOUS. This place is a definite must for dinner, when in Hendersonville, and actually a reason to come back to Hendersonville. Five stars most well deserved.

Mind you she watched us hold hands through the window and when we attempted to enter she stopped us and then flipped the sign to closed. She didn't apologize nor explain, she flipped the sign and closed the door. There was no way this location was closing as it was only 7:45pm on a Thursday. Assuming that event was a single event, tonight (Saturday), as my partner and I attempted to eat dinner there; The same lady told us there was zero space available although there were two very obviously empty seats at the bar. She then referred us to go to the bar next door which is very clearly a lesbian owned and operated bar. It's sad that a small community like Hendersonville has people like this woman openly stopping people based on sexual preference. 0/10. I do not condone business's that advertise inclusivity but when faced with diversity cower behind a "closed" sign.
