We ate here on the evening of 8/26/2026. We had a reservation and sat on the patio. It was Vernice with a little breeze, there were a few flies that were bothersome. The server Katie was very prompt and professional at her recommendation we tried the Gamas shrimp cocktail for starters. The shrimp were nicely done but not overcooked. My wife had the Phuket snapper with a sweet garlic sauce , book choy and rice - overall very good but a little spicy for her. I had the Marseilles which came with the salad with a very nice vinaigrette. The Marseilles was good with a mushroom cream sauce and gold mashed potatoes. We were staying in town for the weekend, and this was one of two restaurants almost across the street from our inn. The previous night while walking back, one of the guests chatted with us on the sidewalk and said this was the better of the two restaurants. The next day we tried making a reservation online but the only openings were very late. We decided to call and ask if they could squeeze in two people earlier. The hostess said we could sit and eat at the bar, but only if we came soon. We walked across the street and sure enough, they had two spots at the bar for us right next to the kitchen. Quick comment: the bar seemed very high to us, so perhaps they could use some taller bar stools. I had a local beer, my wife had a non-alcoholic drink, and we shared the fried green tomatoes (very different preparation than The Square Root a few blocks away) and the smoked salmon carpaccio. This restaurant was a perfect place to celebrate my daughter's birthday with a large group of family. Service was excellent considering our size, and they seated us upstairs which was perfect for conversation. The food was great! I love that each entree is the name of a city. Many in our group ordered Naples (their lasagna) and were happy with it. They have a Large selection of wine which paired nicely with my dish, Santorini. Reliably good. This was our second time here for dinner and this time my husband changed his opinion about it being terribly expensive. We were 4 adults and had a wonderful meal, 3 of our entrees were less than $25 with the 4th being less than $30. We all enjoyed our meals. I had the lamb burger which was wonderful. We went here on a Saturday around noon with a party of 10. Everyone was ordering cocktails and eating brunch. Our waitress was absolutely flawless and we were a needy crew. The drinks were lovely. The bartender even came up when my sister ordered his drink with fernette in it to ensure she like it because "it's a polarizing flavor" my daiquiri was so delicious and the beet martini was an unexpected delight... it is exactly what it claimed to be, a martini with an undertone of earthy beet. The food was top notch. 10 people ordered about 8 different dishes and there wasn't a single complaint among the crowd. My eggs Benedict was spectacular and the bite I had of the shakshuka was spicy and flavorful. Definitely order the mild if you don't want some heat. My sister's salad looked incredible and if I return I want to try it. Don't miss this gem if you find yourself in Brevard. We had ten satisfied customers and we had to wait no time at all for our table! The outside patio looks like a great spot for a spring brunch, sadly our crowd was too big to fit out there but next time that's where you will find me. read more

Unfortunately the quality of the food has deteriorated. We used to love to go to this restaurant for brunch, lunch and dinner. These are how the waffles came out on my husbands entrée today. I ordered the French grilled cheese the bread was so tough I could not cut through it the backside of the sandwich was totally burned too! For the prices that we are paying we expect to at least get the food cooked properly. The server did not offer to make it right. Whoever prepared my husband's dish turned the waffles over so he wouldn't see the burnt side, as if we weren't going to know! The Bohemian is an adorable restaurant in Brevard! I was meeting up with family for my birthday and this was one of the few things open on a Monday. We sat outside and the atmosphere was amazing. Yummy spot in brevard!! I started with their Brazilian Christmas drink and it was so good I had to get two! All the appetizer were delicious it's hard to even rank them. The arancini was beyond tasty and the balsamic vinegar mixed so well with the other flavors. The fried green tomatoes, my cousins favorite, also did not disappoint. Lastly we had the smoked salmon which I also wanted seconds off! For my main I had the steak frites and it was okay. I have had other dishes in the past and don't know if I would get the steak again knowing how much I enjoy everything else. The service was great!! This place is a joke. Had reservations at 7:00 got there early. Told they would seat us in moment. Saw a person go to the bar and stated he didn't have a reservation, they sat him at a two top probably our table. At 8:00 they sat us at a table, no bread no water, said they had a big party in the back. At 9:00 they came out to take our order, they close at 9:00 the owner came over and gave us a bottle of wine, said there was limited menu, I told him to take the wine and shove up his ass, we left. read more

2nd time here with a party of 4. Service terrible, food was hit or miss. Such a shame for the creative and interesting menu. We waited over an hour after ordering for our food to arrive. Waiter never checked on us during that time. We had to flag him down to get drink refills, and inquire about our order. He responded that the kitchen was over-busy, and it should come soon. The salads and soups we ordered were fantastic. Entrees with protein were all overcooked and dry. Flavors very good. I ordered the beet and salmon salad with explicit instructions for medium rare. It came well done with no moisture whatsoever, I sent it back. (That took 5-10 minutes flagging someone down who was not our waiter). She offered to redo the salmon, taking the fish away and leaving me with a plate of beets when I was starving after the first wait. About 15 minutes later, our waiter finally appeared to ask how it was. I had to tell him I sent the salmon back, he was unaware. Not much of an apology. Another 5-10 minutes later, salmon appears, perfectly cooked, but not in time to enjoy with the now gone beets. The manager did let me know that she took the salmon off the table for our wait and inconvenience. That was nice, but when we got the bill, she took off only $10 of the $31 entree. A little rinky dink, in my opinion. Especially since I was eating alone after everyone else was done. On a positive note, tomato soup and crab bisque were outstanding, warm burrata salad exceptional, and once the salmon cooked properly, the beet and salmon salad was very good. Hubby's chicken cordon bleu was tasty but overcooked and tough. Other friend's trout was also tasty but overcooked. We can understand a backed up kitchen, but waiting over an hour for food to arrive, should have had waitstaff or management apologizing and offering something in the meantime: crackers, olives, bread...any of that would have gone a long way to our disappointing evening. While visiting North Carolina, we drove to the naturally, lovely town of Brevard. In Brevard, a local shop employee recommended The Bohemian Restaurant. We were so glad we went there for lunch. The Bohemian is in a charming historical house on Main Street. It was a perfect day so we enjoyed our lunch on their lovely front patio. I ordered the Olumpus (a Mediterranean Grilled Chicken Sandwich). It was SO good! It was made with tzatziki sauce, cucumber, arugula, tomato, kalamata olives, and red onion. It was served on a brioche bun. The sandwich came with a nice side salad and great seasoned french fries. It was a delicious lunch! loved the way it was prepared, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! My husband enjoyed a lovely House Salad, made with mixed greens, red onions, tomato, corn, and fresh parmesan drizzled with a homemade dressing. It was topped with a very tasty Mediterranean chicken breast. We loved the excellent food and the natural ambience of this restaurant's patio. We're sorry it's hundreds of miles from our home. We highly recommend eating at The Bohemian if you visit Brevard, NC! read more

This place is a gem! Lovely setting and they even accommodated my special diet (SCD). I had called to enquire about accommodating my special diet and the person I spoke to said it would be no problem. Upon arrival, the server listened well and was very attentive. I was given a choice between chicken and trout (other meats were already encrusted or marinated, so not an option for me), and I chose the trout fillet. Everything was correct when it arrived and it was delicious! It really surpassed any expectations I might have had of trout. Turns out, it is locally caught. When the bill came, I learned that the trout was comped as a gift from the house since they were grateful I entrusted them with my special needs! What a lovely gesture for someone who too often feels like a burden on restaurant staff!! My husband and FIL also enjoyed both entrees and drinks they ordered (local beer, shawarma chicken, and snapper). I would highly recommend trying this place. I would give 5 stars but I can't do that until I return and see how consistent they are. I hope to have the opportunity to do that soon. read more

Bad experience. Will not go again. A combination of poor service, incorrect food preparation and underwhelming food for brunch. We were seated and provided 2 empty water glasses. One was dirty with old food on the rim of the glass and we sent it back. They did replace the glass but they never filled our water glasses with water. The water glasses remained empty our entire meal despite the waitress telling us 2 different times she would bring us water. She never did. Also, our waitress never came back to check in with us after we received our food. One of us ordered the fruit parfait, which in the description indicates it comes with, among other things, red and black raspberries, raspberry syrup, and honey drizzle-- none of these ingredients were included. One of us had the fried green tomato sandwich- which was underwhelming at best. No flavor at all. Fries were ok but nothing special. When the waitress finally came to us at the end of the meal, we told her about the fruit parfait missing ingredients, and she did apologize and said she told her manager. She offered us a free dessert which we politely declined. We were very disappointed and this was a solid 2 at best. read more

We liked The Bohemian very much in terms of the food and drinks. The food was flavorful and beautifully presented. Our cocktails were inventive and just right. Our server was lovely as a human being. But the service itself was not so great. We were seated before the table was set so we sat for a bit with no water. But we had knives. No forks though. When our appetizer was served our server said, "Oh you need small plates" but then he took another table's order before bring the small plates. The entrees were enormous portions and -again- were delicious. But I was served mine first and while I waited for my husband's order, our server again took another table's order. By the time my husband's order got to the table, mine was no longer hot. The ambiance is better outside than inside. I missed real candles on the table. I missed cloth napkins. Where to begin? We were so disappointed. Our cocktails were below par. One of them had toasted marshmallows that looked nice but they were obviously toasted previously as they were hard and cold in the middle. Had to spit it out. Ordered the Cordon Blue chicken and when it came out, the sauce was gelatinous, cold, giggly and unpleasant. The mashed potatoes were not even close to being warm. Two of us ordered this and agreed we could not eat it. We sent it back and the waitress asked if we wanted it reheated or remade. Considering the cost and how bad it was, we requested remade. I'm sorry, I don't want to pay that much for a microwave reheat. She agreed and said they would remake it. 15 minutes later the waitress came back with the same plates and told us they reheated it and asked if we would instead want it remade which would take another 35 minutes. This didn't make sense because we had already asked them to remake it. By now it was past closing time so, we said never mind (because we didn't want to keep the kitchen staff). Next, the waitress came with the bill and said they went ahead and took off the chicken dishes. Like it was a favor. No way were we paying for them. At no point did a manager come over. The waitress rolled her eyes and made annoyed sounds when she walked away from our table. It was a bad experience all around. Two of the three of us went home hungry. I would never go there again. Side note, if they are trying to be an upscale restaurant, bathroom also needs work (I'll spare the details). read more

The drinks are well balanced, unique, and delicious. All of the food was completely outstanding. We had the Reuben and the tomato bisque soup which were specials of the day. From the sides to the olive in my beat martini, I really have no criticism to give. Whatever the chef is doing in this kitchen is what you want to experience! Jennifer was our server, and brought the whole experience to a new level. Sorry, we ate all the food and didn't take one picture... We also drank all the drinks.
