We were seated immediately upon walking in, so I didn't get a ton of photos of the inside. We sat outside, and there was a ton of seating out there. Obviously, where most people are requesting and the huge hearth fireplace located out there is probably a major reason why as it helps create a homey ambiance. They have large heaters in the ceiling as well for those cold nights. We just had burgers and fish, and both were delicious. The burger was perfectly seasoned, and the fries were crisp. Husband had the cod dinner. Portions were large, and they have a pretty good variety . They do have beer, wine, and cocktails as well. Overall, I would go back and try something else on the menu.

Absolutely loved this place! It was so beautiful and spacious inside! There was also a lovely fire going! We sat at the bar and had fantastic service. I got a white cosmo martini and my hubby got a jalapeño margarita. We shared the French onion soup, which was divine. We also shared the prime rib sandwich. We found it a little odd that it came on a hamburger bun. My half was perfect, my hubby's half had a lot of fat. We still really enjoyed everything and would come back again!

Super cute inside with the stone fireplace which was one of the reasons we picked this place. Also a really decent sized menu with lots of options. We started with the onion straws (not the exact name) appetizer and it was perfect! Super thin onion slices with great breading and good sauce. I also had the French onion soup. It was ok but not amazing and wouldn't particularly recommend. We then also got a small (10") cheese pizza. Not sure it was the "best on the plateau" but it was decent. This could have also been hard to get true "New York style" with only a 10" pie. For mains we got the chicken sandwich and the wedge salad. Both were great! Overall with all the variety of food and drinks we ordered at various times, our server was amazing!!! super attentive and patient with us.

food is ok. Unfortunately, they left out 2/5 of our order. Since no one answers their phone and the managers mailbox is full we had to go back to get the missing items. This meant by the time we got back our other food was cold, greasy, & soggy. I'm sorry I did ordered on their website and then to add insult to injury, I left a decent tip!

So good! We had the onion straws as an appetizer and I had the chipotle chicken salad (both pictured). My kids had pizza and my husband had ribs. Lots of choices!!

Awesome place! Huge portions. Friendly staff! They have a very nice outdoor patio. Well be back!

Great service and large area with lots of fireplaces and warm outdoor area. Bang bang shrimp , all appetizers and seasonal drinks were great. Had a couple pizzas in the area and this was everyone's favorite. Have something for everyone

I am torn on Mica's - the food is good and they have a decent selection. The service was meh...DH ordered the Wedge and French Onion Soup and was brought a side of fries, which were denied and then it took forever for the soup to come. I had a BLT, which isn't on the menu, but they will make for you. The atmosphere has a very cafeteria feel and there was a pre-teen sitting next to us watching videos without headphones, which was super annoying. The good food makes this a solid togo spot!

Salmon special- parmesan encrusted with red pepper cream sauce, fried okra and mashed potatoes- excellent!

We love the covered patio for dining at Mica's. Dinner for four was delicious and included the fresh filet of trout with 2 sides, fried cod with 2 sides, chicken parmesan with linguini and the parmesan crusted salmon with a cream sauce and 2 side dishes of fried okra and mashed potatoes. Our wait time was about 10 minutes (we were given an electronic buzzer) and our server was friendly. The service was attentive and well timed.

The space itself is genuinely grand, well-decorated, comfortable seating, a nice billiards room, and (maybe the highest compliment you can pay a pub) no old-bar smell or locals that make you feel out of place. The bathrooms were clean. The whole place was clean. For a neighborhood spot built around long conversations, it delivers. The drinks are the reason to come. The Riesling on the menu was good, and the winter bourbon (infused with apple), actually tasted spirited. What I appreciated most: no snootiness. Some Scottish and Irish pubs get precious about sticking to the house whisky program and gently disapprove if you order a cocktail or wine. Not here. They let you drink what you want to drink. Service was friendly and checked in at a good cadence. One note: the food came out way too fast. Appetizers hit the table, and the mains arrived about a minute later; we barely got into the fried cheese curds or tandoori fries before everything else was competing for space. The tandoor twist on the fries was a fun surprise, but generally the food read as average pub food. The salmon was dry (lesson learned: order it medium rare next time). The mashed potatoes on the shepherd's pie were the real highlight. 3.5 Stars. Credit where it's due: the menu is wide and actually vegan- and vegetarian-friendly, which is rarer than it should be in a pub, and there is a general playfulness in the atmosphere. What would push it higher: food that matches the level of the space, the excellent service, and the drinks. Pace out the courses, the salmon needs help, and strengthen the dishes a notch. We'll go back, just not for the salmon. The room, the drinks, and the staff all brought their A-game. The kitchen brought a B-game.

I wandered into Main Street Bar & Eatery for what was supposed to be a "quick bite between quotes." Instead, I became spiritually welded to a barstool while the TV blasted a man in flannel yeeting a chainsaw like it owed him money. And the fried pickles. Good grief. Those things ambushed me. One minute I'm thinking "I'll just have a snack," and the next I'm waist-deep in a basket of fried circles of temptation, crunching my way into oblivion while pretending to "work." My laptop was open, sure, but let's not lie to ourselves -- I got absolutely nothing done. I was too busy yelling advice at professional lumberjacks like I'd trained for this moment my whole life. Tim the Suitcase Regular Rating Breakdown: * Atmosphere: Cozy but with the unpredictable energy of a log-rolling final * Food: Fried pickles that could ruin a man's productivity in the best possible way * Service: Friendly, fast, and kindly nonjudgmental of whatever fever dream I was living in * Entertainment: 10/10 involuntary lumberjack immersion If you're looking for a place where you can lose an entire afternoon under the noble banner of "I swear I'm still working", Main Street Bar & Eatery is the arena. I would never come here if I was in a hurry, but if you have 2+ hours to eat and want good food in a storied place with staff who will treat you like friends, you're going to love the Rampant Lion. NOTES: -In rural TN, it should not surprise you, but be aware that they have Trump displays in the restaurant. -The restrooms are single stall and accessed from outdoor. They're indoor restrooms - just the door to access them is on the outside. (No porta potties) They're solidly clean - just make sure to pack clothing that works for the temperature outside because you might be dipping outside a few times. -Parking lot is small and gravel. Relatively easy to get in and out of though. -Amazing gin selection with staff that *clearly* knows their gins. -Adorable photos of the owners on slideshow of their trip to Europe on the wall. It's adorably and clearly a couple who was on a good vacation. We've had a good chunk of their menu at this point. Pretzels: Delicious beer chese AND delicious pretzels. Quite a bit of food with this too. Bread, Oil, & Vinegar: Wasn't super fond of this one. A ton of oil in a bowl made it hard to get the right oil-to-vinegar ratio. Chicken Pie: Deliciously breaded with super-tasty french fries too. Served piping hot, so it took a bit to be able to eat it without burning myself but a wait well-made. Reuben: Partner absolutely loved it and said the bread was the absolute perfect consistency. SO much meat in there too (though he said it could use a bit of extra dressing). Bubbles and Squeak: Delicious. Just delicious. Zero notes, you should eat it. Beanie Weenies: Home-made right in the restaurant! My favorite thing on the menu. Super savory, semi-healthy (beans...at least?), and served super warm. Comfort food at its finest. Menu in-restaurant was different than online one on a few things.
