We were looking for live music Saturday night in Anderson SC, this was our 4th stop of evening…read more Because downtown Anderson is compact can generally walk to all the businesses but is located beside/behind McGee's Scot-Irish pub. This was around 8pm, brewery was empty except 1 other patron, brewmaster, singer, and barmaid. No wait for service therefore, I wanted to sample the jalapeño beer. Upon initial sip, you taste jalapeño but the aftertaste is definitely sour pickle w a slight burn, later on it gave slight heartburn. The Carolina Reaper beer which is spicy and hot was available but the taps would have to be reconnected. The bar maid explained that it burned going in and out so I declined. The seating appeared to more outside than in, a few tables, cushion seats, and a pew was visible inside. Stage for open mic night, the singer was one man, Johnny Cash-type country voice. I'm not a big beer drinker as use to be but there are distinct flavors here that can be explored. Laid back atmosphere.

I really like the beer selection & quality. I also enjoy stopping by to play some music.read more

If you are not a local from this area I wouldn't bother, especially if you're young. Went in on a Friday night and the average age was atleast 72 everyone knew eachother and not a welcoming place to newcomers. The bartender was friendly, quick and drinks were cheap I'll give them that. But 5$ cover charge just to get in for the band?? With the name of the place atleast offer a little more if your charging a cover charge. Just overall not a welcoming place unless you're 70 years old and lived in town your whole life

Visited here in February 2026. First of all, the food here…read moreis great! I had a burger, which was perfectly done and juicy and not overwhelmed by the bun. It had a bacon jam which complemented the cheese, all while not detracting from the delicious beef. My table mate had the beef short ribs; tender, rich, and a good portion size. The potato salad side was tasty enough to make me wish for a larger scoop. Our two cocktails were top-shelf quality, although the Old Fashioned's cherry was an obliterated mush. The lacking star is due to the noise level once the live music kicked in. The inside seating is already a loud echo chamber of hard surfaces, but adding the near ear-splitting band out in the tent made all conversation impossible. I saw several tent tables clear out when the music started. I like live music, and the band was good. But half the decibels would have been more than enough. I think my ears are still ringing two days later. Service was good as our waitress barely kept up with the dinner crowd surge and a new and uncooperative POS system. Hopefully that will fall in line and give the staff a break! Looking forward to future offerings from their talented chef. Will definitely visit next time I'm in the area.

They had a large selection of drinks, to include cans, bottles, and draft, and they were very affordable as well.
