Absolutely loved this place! It was so beautiful and spacious inside! There was also a lovely fire going! We sat at the bar and had fantastic service. I got a white cosmo martini and my hubby got a jalapeño margarita. We shared the French onion soup, which was divine. We also shared the prime rib sandwich. We found it a little odd that it came on a hamburger bun. My half was perfect, my hubby's half had a lot of fat. We still really enjoyed everything and would come back again!

Super cute inside with the stone fireplace which was one of the reasons we picked this place. Also a really decent sized menu with lots of options. We started with the onion straws (not the exact name) appetizer and it was perfect! Super thin onion slices with great breading and good sauce. I also had the French onion soup. It was ok but not amazing and wouldn't particularly recommend. We then also got a small (10") cheese pizza. Not sure it was the "best on the plateau" but it was decent. This could have also been hard to get true "New York style" with only a 10" pie. For mains we got the chicken sandwich and the wedge salad. Both were great! Overall with all the variety of food and drinks we ordered at various times, our server was amazing!!! super attentive and patient with us.

food is ok. Unfortunately, they left out 2/5 of our order. Since no one answers their phone and the managers mailbox is full we had to go back to get the missing items. This meant by the time we got back our other food was cold, greasy, & soggy. I'm sorry I did ordered on their website and then to add insult to injury, I left a decent tip!

Onion Straws

So good! We had the onion straws as an appetizer and I had the chipotle chicken salad (both pictured). My kids had pizza and my husband had ribs. Lots of choices!!

Caesar salad

Awesome place! Huge portions. Friendly staff! They have a very nice outdoor patio. Well be back!

Great service and large area with lots of fireplaces and warm outdoor area. Bang bang shrimp , all appetizers and seasonal drinks were great. Had a couple pizzas in the area and this was everyone's favorite. Have something for everyone

I am torn on Mica's - the food is good and they have a decent selection. The service was meh...DH ordered the Wedge and French Onion Soup and was brought a side of fries, which were denied and then it took forever for the soup to come. I had a BLT, which isn't on the menu, but they will make for you. The atmosphere has a very cafeteria feel and there was a pre-teen sitting next to us watching videos without headphones, which was super annoying. The good food makes this a solid togo spot!

Salmon special- parmesan encrusted with red pepper cream sauce, fried okra and mashed potatoes- excellent!

We love the covered patio for dining at Mica's. Dinner for four was delicious and included the fresh filet of trout with 2 sides, fried cod with 2 sides, chicken parmesan with linguini and the parmesan crusted salmon with a cream sauce and 2 side dishes of fried okra and mashed potatoes. Our wait time was about 10 minutes (we were given an electronic buzzer) and our server was friendly. The service was attentive and well timed.

We stopped by our first day for lunch and I ordered the classic Reuben and fries. Both were delicious I loved the fries so much. My husband ordered the bacon and pimento smash burger which was just as delicious! Day two I had a chicken sandwich and he ordered the Cuban. Day three we had the soft pretzels and cheese dip. Those were bomb! My favorite cocktail was the Italian Spritz. It was so light and just a nice refreshing drink for the afternoon. Service was average. Nothing terrible or great. You can tell they get pretty busy each day. What I really loved was all of the photos of dogs framed on the walls! It was fun to see all the different pups that had been added over the years

I appreciate that the Tater Tots are gluten-free, and I heartily recommend them! The bar can occasionally get loud and rowdy, but the crowd always seems happy. Servers are friendly, and knowledgeable of food sensitivities. You may have a little bit of a wait, but these people are on it, so they'll get to you asap. Be sure to visit Ugly Dog while you're in Highlands. I think you'll like it.

Suitcase Social Club Dispatch No. 47: "Timmy vs. The Lumberjacks"…read more If you've ever wondered what happens when a grown man with sales quotas, a mild caffeine imbalance, and the attention span of a golden retriever discovers competitive lumberjack sports streaming on the bar TV... well, allow me to submit Exhibit A. I wandered into Main Street Bar & Eatery for what was supposed to be a "quick bite between quotes." Instead, I became spiritually welded to a barstool while the TV blasted a man in flannel yeeting a chainsaw like it owed him money. And the fried pickles. Good grief. Those things ambushed me. One minute I'm thinking "I'll just have a snack," and the next I'm waist-deep in a basket of fried circles of temptation, crunching my way into oblivion while pretending to "work." My laptop was open, sure, but let's not lie to ourselves -- I got absolutely nothing done. I was too busy yelling advice at professional lumberjacks like I'd trained for this moment my whole life. Tim the Suitcase Regular Rating Breakdown: * Atmosphere: Cozy but with the unpredictable energy of a log-rolling final * Food: Fried pickles that could ruin a man's productivity in the best possible way * Service: Friendly, fast, and kindly nonjudgmental of whatever fever dream I was living in * Entertainment: 10/10 involuntary lumberjack immersion If you're looking for a place where you can lose an entire afternoon under the noble banner of "I swear I'm still working", Main Street Bar & Eatery is the arena. Suitcase Social Club™ stamp of approval: Earned.

Probably one of my favorite restaurants in the area, Rampant Lion is clearly a family-run business…read morethat focuses on making social connections over quick get-food-and-go. It's pretty cool. I would never come here if I was in a hurry, but if you have 2+ hours to eat and want good food in a storied place with staff who will treat you like friends, you're going to love the Rampant Lion. NOTES: -In rural TN, it should not surprise you, but be aware that they have Trump displays in the restaurant. -The restrooms are single stall and accessed from outdoor. They're indoor restrooms - just the door to access them is on the outside. (No porta potties) They're solidly clean - just make sure to pack clothing that works for the temperature outside because you might be dipping outside a few times. -Parking lot is small and gravel. Relatively easy to get in and out of though. -Amazing gin selection with staff that *clearly* knows their gins. -Adorable photos of the owners on slideshow of their trip to Europe on the wall. It's adorably and clearly a couple who was on a good vacation. We've had a good chunk of their menu at this point. Pretzels: Delicious beer chese AND delicious pretzels. Quite a bit of food with this too. Bread, Oil, & Vinegar: Wasn't super fond of this one. A ton of oil in a bowl made it hard to get the right oil-to-vinegar ratio. Chicken Pie: Deliciously breaded with super-tasty french fries too. Served piping hot, so it took a bit to be able to eat it without burning myself but a wait well-made. Reuben: Partner absolutely loved it and said the bread was the absolute perfect consistency. SO much meat in there too (though he said it could use a bit of extra dressing). Bubbles and Squeak: Delicious. Just delicious. Zero notes, you should eat it. Beanie Weenies: Home-made right in the restaurant! My favorite thing on the menu. Super savory, semi-healthy (beans...at least?), and served super warm. Comfort food at its finest. Menu in-restaurant was different than online one on a few things.

The beef and mushroom pie with chips was savory and mouthwatering, with portions large enough for leftovers that reheated perfectly. The fish and chips were crispy and flavorful, cooked just right. A big selection of beer completed the authentic pub experience and paired perfectly with the hearty food. Every dish felt comforting and thoughtfully prepared, and the service matched the quality of the meal. This place is absolutely worth seeking out if you're visiting Gatlinburg.

I came alone and sometimes as a solo female at a bar you feel uncomfortable but bartender made me feel welcome from the start. I ordered a Chicago beef sandwich. It was adequate...Mediocre.... When I think of a Chicago beef sandwich the first thing I think of is pepperoncini and/or au jus but it had neither. But it was decent, kind of like a thing you might grab & go on the road somewhere.... edible but you're not thinking about it afterwards. The sandwiches come with french fries but I got the Greek pasta salad instead. I should've got the french fries because I paid $2 up charge for weak pasta salad. But the reason I'm still giving it 4 stars was that it's a nice local bar. Clientele chatty. My bartender was very cool. I didn't get his name (young, blond, skater type) friendly, welcoming.
