Great downtown spot located near Pack Park, a music hall, and numerous restaurants and shops. The staff were super friendly and welcoming and they were very dog-friendly. The inside had plenty of seating while the outdoor patio was perfect for dogs and getting some sun. Wicked Weed was highly recommended by locals and visitors alike. We were looking for a brewery option as we were just passing through Asheville. We were looking for more options other than just IPAs and this was the spot. It was a nice day and we sat outside and it wasn't too loud. We went at the beginning of May and there were no bugs outside sometimes restaurants have a fly problem just with it being outside but this place does not at least not in May. So I would suggest enjoying the outdoor seating if possible. Our server Erin was fantastic. They were able to make great recommendations and were super kind all night. I got a fruity flight and I enjoyed the cherry seltzer. Most of the other ones were a lighter take on the fruity side. We started with the pretzel and beer cheese because they were out of focaccia, but I'm glad we made this choice. The pretzel was fresh and warm and apparently from a local Baker. The beer cheese was really good and warm, which just made it a 10 out. I got the hummus platter and I loved the variety of vegetables with it and the hummus was really good. Came here for a brewery tour with my friends and it was a nice experience! Our host Will was very informative and had a fun personality that kept us engaged. We enjoyed trying the 3 beers at the end! We stopped in the shop and bought a shirt with the discount given from the tour and also picked up a brewed bottle. If we had more time I would have stayed for the bar! Went to the main Wicked Weed location for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised by the inside and by the beer quality and selection. Not sure what I expected as I was not familiar with Wicked Weed as it is my first time to Asheville, but the name made me think there would be a bunch of strange beers and CBD infused or other. But instead, a very stylish brewery with all your mainstream varieties plus a few not some normal ones, just a good variety. Bartender was very pleasant and gave us some other places to try in Asheville as well. Happened to go on Stein Sunday and all of their beers with leas than 8% abv were $10/liter. Cannot beat that! Beer is elite. Food is not. Shame on us for expecting more from the food. Cold nachos, kung pao chicken wings were decent (pretty spicy, hotter than average buffalo). After a long day of hiking, me and my husband decided to stop at the closest brewery to our hotel, bringing pups along with us. We were seated immediately, though it took about 5-7 minutes for our server to arrive, and he apologized for the delay. We came primarily for drinks and appetizers, and the beer flight we tried was really good and refreshing. As for the food, I wasn't a fan of the wings my husband had ordered them on the side, but I would have preferred them fully coated in sauce. On the other hand, the loaded chips were excellent, made with homemade potato chips that were perfectly seasoned. My favorite thing about this place was that they offer different types of flights, I got the dark side flight which contained an assortment of stouts. We have been here twice now, and both times service was friendly and welcoming. The location really can't be beat for when you're going to a show at the Orange Peel! As a vegetarian, the Beyond Burger is served up really well! Although I usually don't eat the entire bun at other places, this one definitely stands out as one of the best I've had. It's pillowy and buttery and delicious. I also appreciate it's not your standard lettuce and tomato, but it comes with a tasty aioli, pickled onions, and pickles. I've tried both the sweet potato fries and the regular fries, and I have to say the regular fries are the tastier ones. I wish they had BBQ sauce for dipping, but they brought me the aioli from the burger, which was a great addition to the standard ketchup. My husband also had the ranch, which tasted house-made! The focaccia with olives was delicious, and I was happy they brought over a dish of olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and herbs to go with it. Since we were a group of 4, I wish we had a slice for each person, but it comes with 3 slices. It was so good, I just wanted more! Lastly, as a non-beer drinker, I was happy they had other options! Went to Asheville for the weekend. Stayed downtown within a short walk to Wicked Weed. It's been years since I've been there. Definitely before they started selling in grocery stores. My sister and I stopped in to ask about grabbing a table outside. We were told we either had to go downstairs or sit outside by the fire pit. There were plenty of empty tables that were open and available. The staff assumed we were not going to order food (we were) but the two people at the host stand were so rude and off putting that we ended up leaving and brought our business elsewhere. This place is popular with tourists but a lot of locals (like us) come here because the beer is great, with a lot of variety and the food is some of the best "bar food" in town. I'm visiting from out of town and I thought Wicked Weed would feel touristy but it didn't at all. It has got a great atmosphere inside and outside. The beer flights were great- I like that they have the option of flight combinations that are already chosen, like the sours, the classics, etc. The food was phenomenal and it was quite unexpected. The croissant I had with the chicken salad sandwich was the best croissant I've ever had. The two of us could not finish every bite of the focaccia, brussel sprouts, wings, and sweet potato fries that we ordered, but we got pretty close!!! The server said the focaccia is local and you can tell it was made with love. Brussel sprouts and sweet potato fries were the other stars of the show. Wicked Weed has been a reliable brewery to visit over the years when visiting town and maybe even somewhere to visit twice in a day like we did this instance (first beer of the day and then hours later for pregaming the live music we would see next door). Very good food! I am not a beer person, but my friends liked the selection. I got the giant pretzel with cheese dip and mustard. The staff member, Blake, that was helping us was so nice! He did a great job, even when they were understaffed. It was a good place for kids. We took an 18 month old and 8 month old. They had high bartop height high chairs! We sat outside in December!
