Our first time here was their 9 year anniversary party. I had perused their website prior and was disappointed that the two beers I'd selected -- a wit and a Hefeweizen -- were not on tap. Instead I selected the Strawboobies Saison. Music was playing and we were lucky enough to grab a small table for two where we could hear the music but were out of the sun. For my next beer I had the Currant Mistake which I liked better than the Saison. Husband enjoyed his two beers as well. Lastly, we both ordered the pork bowl which had a lot of flavor and was a good portion size. Bartenders were friendly and attentive -- you order and pay at the bar. Overall a great spot to hang out for beer, music and food.

The only negative thing I have to say about this place is that it is in Asheville and I am not. This is a new favorite brewery for me! It was full of fun vibes. The beer was fantastic (I got a flight and each one was great!), the food was delicious (you MUST try the pimento cheese dip), and the server was amazing! I can't wait to come back and try other beer and food!

Been back several times for wing night, burger night and just for beers. All the food has been the best we had at a brewery so far. Staff is friendly and the place is always busy. Parking can be a bit challenging some times. A little loud inside when packed and especially if they have live music. Defines in our top five breweries in Asheville if not our favorite...

With family in town we had to hit some breweries. Hillman was one of the first we thought of, as it was closeby Biltmore/Village. The cubannnnn was so good, that and their pretzel! The waiter who brought us our food was nice and had fun with us, and the relatives enjoyed watching whatever game was on. Very chill, easy parking, in and outdoor seating which is a blessing with small kids

Always amazing! Freshest burger. The ingredients are fresh as well as the bread. Our second time here. The service is quick, you just order at the bar, with our without a tab. Ambiance is cute. Family style for those with big parties. There's also outdoor seating and seating for just 2. We love stopping here on our way home. The service is always quick and efficient.

We were originally going to another place around the corner but their kitchen was closing early so we stumbled upon Hillman and we were so happy with the unexpected detour. The vibe is really cool both inside and outside. The beers are really good and liked their cider too. It's cool that they make their own cider and hard seltzer. The food was really good and it's definitely a place I would return next time I'm in town. Bartenders were really friendly and the food came out super fast. It was amazing to hear about how much hurricane damage they had and how they rebuilt so quickly. Definitely go support them!

Hillman has great food, drinks, and ambiance. They have the perfect set up for both indoor and outdoor seating. We choose to sit where we could see the creek and enjoy the outdoor setting. I loved how many different beers they had, and the food was good too! I would suggest getting the burger and fries over the rice bowl, and the pimiento cheese was delicious!

Met a co worker for lunch. We were greeted by a very bubbly person , Emily who made us feel so welcome. She was a very attentive and made sure we were not rushed. It was sunny but very windy so we sat inside. You order at the bar and they will bring your food out to you. Of course we each had a beer both tasty. fFor lunch I had the club sandwich and my friend had the chicken sandwich both came with homemade chips. Both meals were also good and tasty. Forgot to take pics of food Definitely recommend this brewery. We will return.

We have been to all the hillman's over the years, Biltmore, Old Fort and Morganton but the service and attention we get from Nate and the servers in Biltmore is absolutely phenomenal, besides having great beer and food Nate always welcomes us and strives to make sure we are happy and taken care of!!! 10 stars to Nate. Please keep he around he is Hillman thru and thru!

Super awesome brewery right outside of Biltmore village. Indoor and outdoor seating is offered, it's dog friendly, and the burger and wings were delicious! My favorite beer was the fall flavored one but my boyfriend favored the cider. We sat outside by the creek with friends. Will definitely return! Staff was lovely.

Hillman is a nice neighborhood bar on the outskirts of Biltmore Village and just far enough away from the main gate of the Biltmore Estate to keep most tourists away. There is lots of outdoor seating (and indoor) and one of the most dog-friendly breweries in the area. We usually go for beers but the food menu is also good. Tonight, we had the smash burger and fries, and the kale salad with fried chicken. Both were good and filling. We also enjoyed the Thursday night beer special (Saison), the Oktoberfest and my favorite, Mama Bear. Bar service can be a bit slow if there's a crowd as there was on this night and we didn't realize until a bit later that it was trivia night. Kudos to the staff for walking around with a handheld device to replenish food and drink and close out tabs.

Great food. Terrible bar service. Had to stand up and wave to get the bartenders (3) attention. Won't be back.

It's quite possible if I'd have visited during the day that my review would've been 5 stars. However, we came at night (well... winter night it was like 6pm?). It was dark. First, the parking lot. It looked like a scene from a horror movie where everyone gets killed. There was no actual parking lot, just some grass along the road where people were parked. There was a chainlink fence gate that was barely open, with an overgrown sign, and it looked like you were walking into a haunted factory. We walked in the brewery and it was only light by faint lights and candles. We jokingly started calling it the MURDER BREWERY in a spooky voice. I see the beautiful plants in the pictures in reviews here and we saw none of that. I have less-than-stellar night vision and actually held onto my wife's shoulders for her to lead me around. They also have a lot of tables without chairs. Maybe that's trendy, but really I want to sit and chat while I try your beer. I don't want to have to stand around. It cleared out before we left and we got a seat eventually, but the table/chair ratio was way out of whack. All this time and I haven't spoken about the beer yet. It was pretty good. My BIL loved the Mummy Cat. We all had some pretty decent beers. However, we bolted after not too long due to it just not being a great place to hang out in the dark. Our friends enjoyed the photos we took and the catchphrase ANTIQUITY DAWNS AT MODERNITY'S TWILIGHT likely stolen from a 14 year old emo kid's journal that was on their less than useful website. There are no beer lists on it. Literally just that goofy saying and their hours.
