    Flight of beer
    Betsy H.

Great outdoor patio to enjoy the flight of beer. Food truck onsite for small plates or burgers. Great stop after our hike

Upstairs is an easy, laid back hang around looking over the brew tank room. Downstairs outside is the nest hangout for dogs and people with live music on nice weekend eves. The perm food truck provides burgers and fries. All next to the club baseball fields in Enka. Oh and the espresso cheesecake stout tastes just like the name. Crazy as its 15% only served in half pints thank goodness.

Great beer. Great service. Nice atmosphere it really needs the bison chili and menu similar to the downtown WW.

Can't tell you much about this place they said no dogs up stairs. Maybe they should post something online about that.

Almost every beer on the menu is a split batch fermented with two different yeast strains to showcase the resulting differences. It's a great concept, even if you're not into brewing. In terms of the food, it seems like the really leaned into providing something good, well-balanced, and sometimes takes advantage of the yeast and beer being cultivated on site. I had a house salad and some dilly beans for lunch. The house salad was fresh and extremely well balanced. I'm glad they had something vegetable centric available. The dilly beans were good, but quite a bit for a single human. They're probably the type of thing you would want to split among friends. I actually showed up for an event in the evening where they served pizza using dough fermented with one of their yeast strains. That was truly excellent. Nicely balanced, not over the top, with a deeply flavorful crust. If you're in Asheville, I would consider this a must visit destination.

Mrs. K. and I took the two seats at the end and I walked up to the bar to order drinks and dinner. A pint of the "American Style Lager" for me and their "Spicy!" ginger beer that Mrs. K. said was good but not all that spicy. Less than ten minutes later, my chicken wings arrived. They sell them as "a pound" which was good because these were very small wings. Small, but tasty in a sweet/spicy sauce and I ate nearly all of them while slowly sipping that very crushable beer. When it was done, back into the Sprinter van and off to figure out where we're parking for the night. I had tried to make a reservation on their RV parking app but they're booked two or three weeks out! Note: The restrooms are upstairs and they have an elevator. If you can't find something to fit your palette I would be surprised! With the setting right along The French Broad River a very relaxed and chill vibe. They have evolved this brewery over the years and each change has been very good. I have been coming to this brewery since its inception in Asheville in 2016 and have enjoyed every visit. If you are visiting Asheville this is a "must" stop during your stay! In closing, this is for the folks at New Belgium, please bring back the Ben & Jerry's Cookie Dough collaboration y'all had in 2016. I believe it will be an exciting 10 year anniversary collaboration! Just sayin'

Once they opened we went right for the bar to order as it was getting busy with people already on a Tuesday morning! I ordered a flight and my boyfriend had a beer. The server was a little cold. Not necessarily unfriendly just a little curt which was fine maybe she was having a bad day. But I got a pre selected flight and she had me take a picture of the flight list so I knew which beer was which. Idk a lot of other breweries would have wrote it down but a picture works too. We sat outside on their covered patio and watched the river. It started to get really nice out so after that we sat at their turf area and chilled until we were done. We spent a good hour here and just really liked the vibe outside . People had their dogs so we were so watching and in generally very friendly . I took a picture beneath the sign with the bicycles. You can see that on a weekend this place would get crazy busy so it was nice for us to just relax and take in the atmosphere without it getting so crowded. Anyone who is in Asheville should check this place out.

Right away the place had a cool vibe, not just a regular brewery where you go in and drink a beer. It had a lot of interesting decor and you could tell they really lean into their own weird, artsy style. The decor was colorful and fun, with murals and random quirky details all around. It kind of had this dark but playful look to it, which somehow worked really good. The beer garden area also gave it a laid back feel, and the whole place had way more character then a normal taproom. The beer menu was creative too. There were plenty of beer choices and I got the Sinister Gaze of the Unapologetic Imperial Stout. With a cool name like that it fit my mood from the heat. With cocoa nibs, sea salt, vanilla bean, and that rich stout flavor, it sounded bold and kind of dramatic, which fits the place perfect.

The outdoor seating area is spacious and fun with old cars turned into self imposed selfie stations (guilty as charged) and a haven for sticker placements. Bartenders were great once served. However, on NYE you would think that both bars would be open?!? Having a huge line deterred me from getting another beer.

Lot's of eclectic spice and vegetable beers, but the pairings are generally interesting and well done. They also have a few more traditional beer styles, if that's what you're in the mood for. The space is also very nicely done. Plenty of room at the bar. A somewhat dark and muted color tone that created the feel of a slightly rustic and understated space. I liked it. In terms of food, I ordered a mediterranean bowl and was pretty happy with it. Reasonably well presented. Some evidence of investing effort in creating an individualized concept. The ingredients were also very fresh. The toppings also fell within a reasonable balance. It wasn't overwhelming. It wasn't the best salad of this type that I've had, but it made for something crisp and fresh to pair with a pint. All that having been said, my suggestion would be to go for the beer. If you want to order food alongside your beer, that's secondary.
