The place had nice seating and was clean. Parking is hard to get when the plaza is packed! The staff were nice. I got the milk tea and WOW, was it sweet!!! I even got less sweetness. I usually get 70%, but for this store I'd recommend 30%. It was a bit hard to drink due to the sweetness, and you couldn't really taste the tea because of it. I'd be open to trying it again.
ChaTraMue Original Thai Tea showed up on Yelp while I was strolling for a boba shop. i dint realize the significance of this place until I left the shop (reading the cup). We were quickly greeted upon entering. We were directed to order at the kiosk. The tea shop is known for classic Thai milk tea and Thai green milk tea -- unfortunately both wasn't that great. My Thai Green milk tea at 30% was still quite very sweet and taste very artificial! There were other variety of drink options, including specialty teas and rose tea. The ability to customize sweetness levels -- saw a 130% and add toppings at the kiosk was convenient. This month to celebrate Chinese New Year -- each $10 purchases you get a lunar year scratcher ticket that you have until May to redeem.
3.7 stars I've had good Thai tea and it seems like the Thai tea here is good. I don't know if I can say it's the BEST Thai tea I've ever had, but it's decent and I like that the sugar level is adjustable. I ordered it at 30% sugar and thought it was still very sweet. The tea itself is a bit astringent, which I'm not a huge fan of. I used the kiosk, so my interactions with the tea baristas were limited. Prices were reasonable. I'd come back to try other things, but this isn't a location I'd go out of my way for. Bonus points for free parking!
Recently came in for some Thai tea but noticed they got some new seasonal options! I tried their biscoff matcha thai tea which was really good. If you like biscoff cookies then you won't be disappointed. On top of the biscoff crumbs that they put on top of the drink, they'll also give you a biscoff cookie too to dip into the drink. I look forward to getting their other drinks They also have a lunar new year celebration going on right now too. Spend 10 dollars and get a scratcher. Everyone wins. Prizes include: a tumbler (limited supply), BOGO Coupon, a free drink, and one of their many unique tea tins!
Cha Tra Mue have managed to maintain the taste and quality same like in Thailand. It's a daily go to brand tea shop for people in Thailand. I always get Jasmine Thai green milk tea or Rose oolong Milk tea. Tried the Pandan boba with Jasmine green tea it didn't taste anything special or couldn't taste much of pandan. I get butterfly pea Jasmine green tea from Bangkok. Wish you would have that milk tea option on your menu. Service was quick and plenty of space to sit and free WiFi for guests. Just give this place a try for a different kind of Jasmine green Thai milk tea.
It was great to finally try ChaTraMue! I've always relied on buying the leaves but it's a different experience trying how the brand makes it. The store was clean and drinks were ready within ten minutes of me placing the online order. The packaging is cute but I think the lids are badly designed in terms of keeping the liquid from spilling. It wasn't too bad for my drinks since the workers added some parchment paper as a seal. But for people who bought the hot drinks, the lids caused it to spill. The only solution for folks in that case is to remove the lid or the workers need to figure out something else to create a better seal. Especially if it's likely the workers cannot use different packaging. It was also nice to see the tea leaves that you can just buy. I ended up getting the regular Thai Tea leaves for $8 but if the Thai Green Tea came in a smaller tin, I would've gotten it as well. $12 for Thai Green Tea felt a bit too much.
ChaTraMue is located near Shin Sen gumi and Golden Delight. There's plenty of parking but it can get busy at night and on the weekends. They have self-serve kiosks with a great selection of drinks. They had some many drinks and toppings that I haven't seen before. Such as slushy teas and pandan boba! The interior is clean and is a nice place for a brief catch up with a friend. It's not ideal for studying or hangouts for big groups as the tables are small and the music is a little too loud for me to get work done. There was only one longer table for a group. But they do have plenty of outlets if you don't mind the loud music. The matcha was solid, but I don't think it's their specialty. The boba was still warm in my drink and had some good chew to it. The Thai tea was very good. Creamy and strong tea flavor. Would definitely recommend their thai tea. 70% sweet was just right for me if you get boba with it. Unfortunately they ran out of honey pandan boba, so I hope to try it next time.
My husband and I stopped by ChaTraMue for the first time Sunday, 12/21/2025 at around 2:20 PM. I've been wanting to try out this place but just haven't gotten around to it. We ordered the following: Original Thai Tea $6.50 - It was recommended to get 100% sweet, but I felt like that was too sweet for my own liking. I wish you could customize a little more than just 50%, 75%, etc. The drink itself was tasty, classic thai tea flavor, but next time I'll cut down on the sugar. I also am not a fan of the fact that you cannot customize the ice levels since I'm a less ice kind of girl. Lime Lychee Honey Rose Tea $7.25 (prices as of 12/2025) - My husband ordered this. I thought it was funny how they give you plenty of warning signs that rose tea is a laxative. This drink is on the pricier side, and it was sweet, tangy, citrusy, and refreshing. The rose tea did not give potpourri-vibes, and I would definitely consider reordering this, but maybe less sweet as well. Shop Interior: The store was clean, and they had cute Christmas decor all throughout. There were a few seating booths available. It looked like a group of people were studying with their laptops when we came. Customer Service: We ordered through the self-ordering kiosk so not as much interaction with the employees. However, they were nice and courteous. The drinks were prepared pretty quickly. Parking: The shop is located in a popular lot. Although there were plenty of cars coming in and out, there were still parking spots when we came. All in all, I'd be back!
Wow the Thai tea was delicious! The drink was very creamy and sweet at 70%. A classic and familiar flavor. My partner and I almost drank half of it walking back to our car! They also sell tins of their tea leaves if you want to brew the tea at home. It seemed pretty affordable, around $12ish for a tin.
I had a good experience at ChaTraMue (Rosemead). I ordered the Thai Green Milk Tea ($6.50 - Large - 22oz - 70% Sweetness) with Honey Pandan Boba (additional 75 cents). It's a roasted green tea mix with jasmine in condensed milk. It's refreshing & tasty! I arrived at ChaTraMue (Rosemead) on Thursday (around 11:16AM). Parking felt easy since it wraps around the building. I parked in the Empire Commercial Center lot. Staff is professional and welcoming. Customers can order on the two clean self-service kiosks or the counter. I disliked how the kiosks require a cell phone number to proceed; however, it's easy to use. Although Staff interaction felt minimal, I appreciated how Staff put effort towards greeting me. "Have a great day!" she'd exclaim. My drink took three minutes and 42 seconds. Good pace. I appreciated the Thai Green Milk Tea ($6.50 - Large - 22oz - 70% Sweetness) with Honey Pandan Boba (additional 75 cents). There's thoughtful flavors. The milk successfully carried a crisp, fresh tea flavor. Unfortunately, I think 70% sweetness was too strong & sweet since the taste of "sugary cereal milk" eventually became the primary taste. The honey pandan boba felt playful and squishy; however, the texture resembled very soft gummy bears or Gushers. It's enjoyable, but the soft texture could be off-putting. All in all, the drink was thirst quenching and refreshing. Regarding ambiance, ChaTraMue (Rosemead) is a study/work paradise!! There's 10 electrical outlets! Wow!! The location is also very clean and shiny. The location also includes customer internet with password; the information is taped onto the counter's translucent frame. There's also a gender neutral restroom in the back. The location also felt spacious and well-ventilated. There's nine tables and one tall counter. The seats felt plush and comfortable. Also, strong, clear music echoes within its walls. There's genuine utility hidden within ChaTraMue (Rosemead). Overall, I enjoyed my visit to ChaTraMue (Rosemead). There's thoughtful drinks; the location offers an excellent study/work spot; and staff is friendly. I left happy. 4.8 out of 5
Went around 9 PM on a Saturday night and the plaza this shop is in was packed. Finding parking was kind of a nightmare, but once we got inside, the vibe was super cute and cozy. You order at a kiosk, which was easy to use. I got a bucket of Thai tea with boba and a sala milk. First off, the bucket was adorable. I don't know why, but carrying around a literal bucket of Thai tea brought me so much joy. I'm a sucker for gimmicky or fun presentation, and this one really did it for me. Flavor-wise, the Thai tea was good, but I like a stronger tea taste. It felt like a 50/50 milk-to-tea ratio, and I'd prefer something more like 70/30. Still, the drink was refreshing, and the boba was perfectly cooked -- chewy, flavorful, and even my girlfriend (who doesn't usually like boba) liked it. The sala milk was interesting. It reminded me of a slightly floral strawberry milk. The flavor was good, but not something I'd personally crave again -- just not for me, even though I could see others loving it. Despite the busy night and tight parking situation, the drinks came out quickly and the staff was efficient and friendly. I'd 100% go back -- mostly for the Thai tea bucket again because that container was just too fun to resist.
The Chinatown location is better but the Thai tea slushie with cream cheese foam was phenomenal. I loved that even with all the cream cheese foam and egg pudding I added to it that I could still get the strong Thai tea flavor. I wish the slushie came in a bigger cup and that there was more of the Thai tea. However I still think the Chinatown location is better since they have the Thai tea floats and the ice cream which is the best thing I've ever had.

Just found out today that a ChaTraMue opened up in Rosemead, so I had to try it out! Thai Tea w/ Boba - since ChaTraMue is pretty much known for Thai Tea, I felt obligated to get this drink. Taste wise, it's a good Thai tea; it's a bit richer, so I can tell they used a bit more evaporated milk in the tea than normal. The boba was also hot and chewy. I ordered my drink at normal sweetness, which actually was not too sweet at all! Plum Iced Tea - I actually ended up liking this drink more, mostly because it was super well balanced, tart, and very refreshing. I also ordered this drink at normal sweetness. Environment wise, there's plenty of seats to sit and chat with friends, or do some work. It's spacious, and has a modern clean vibe. For ordering, I went up to the kiosk and placed my order. Overall, both drinks were exceptional, and I see myself coming back! read more
5 stars to the fact that it was their first weekend opened, with a line of people that filled up the store, and I was able to efficiently wait, order my drink from the kiosk, and get out within 15-20 minutes! I would recommend getting the original Thai tea at 30% sweetness if you usually get 70% or less in other tea places. The 100% here is extremely sweet. I had both the Thai tea and green Thai tea, and highly recommend the regular if you love the strong Thai tea taste. For those that want to try the original way to drink (lots of ice) you basically treat it like a Vietnamese coffee and wait for the ice to melt and dilute the tea. read more
I had high expectations for this place since I heard great things about their thai tea. I came after dinner on a weekday night and it was pretty empty. Ordering was super easy on their kiosk and they were very quick to get my drink out. I like how the worker told me to try my drink store so he can remake it for me if I was not satisfied. I ordered the Thai Lemon Tea at 30% sweetness, which was still pretty sweet to me. Can't wait to come back and try their other drinks! read more

I went for the Lime Lychee Honey Rose tea since my friend and I visited at night and I thought the Thai tea would kept me up all night. Well the Rose tea itself kept me up all night because my stomach was rumbling while I tried to sleep and in the morning I went straight to the toilet. I'm scare to finished the last 1/3 of the drink that is still sitting in my fridge. Hence the label warning and must check the laxative acknowledge box when you ordered. I do like the pandan boba which I thought was very unique and delicious. My friend got the regular Thai ice tea and she enjoyed it. Self order at kiosk Ipad and big shared parking lot at the plaza. Most of the customers took their drinks to go, so we were able to enjoy our drinks at the many empty seating. read more

I was so excited when I heard Cha Tra Mue had a US location - I last had these in Bangkok and it's my favorite brand - getting a ton of inventory during the trip. I got the classic Thai Tea and the Thai Green Milk Tea. They have many different ways to customize your order such as boba, ice level, and sugar level. I love how smooth these drinks taste and they're not too sweet. The service is also very friendly as I made a mistake on the sugar level in the order. I ran up to them to make the adjustment and they were very understanding. The drinks are so delicious and it's a place I will keep going to every time I am back in LA! read more
[4.5 stars] I ordered the vegan green thai tea w/ pandan boba, 30% sweet (oatmilk instead of reg milk). The drink price comes w/ a topping included. Im happy they have vegan options bc dairy breaks me out sometimes! Green thai tea was amazing, floral and sweetness was perfect for me. I couldnt really taste the pandan flavor with the boba, it's pretty light, but Im intrigued to try the other toppings available. They have great quality tea and I would def try out their other drinks in the future! They have 2 kiosk you can order at and service was really quick! cute and quaint thai tea shop on a busy main street in the 626! i love coming here with my friends to get our thai tea fix. don't be fooled because i actually think their green thai tea is the drink to try when you come here! don't get me wrong the regular thai tea is good but when it's green it HITS i really recommend the slushee because the slushee is blended perfectly - NO ice chunks whatsoever and super smooth!! a lot of boba shop overlook that and im glad they make it so well here. thai tea flavor is very strong, the only thing is that it's so expensive for the reg size too but i still recommend as it's a cozy spot in 626. they also sell thai tea leaves here with a wide variety like regular, green, also rose tea leaves i have yet to try staff is super friendly and drinks came out in under 5 minutes! parking is a bit horrendous and compact but not too bad to get a spot. read more
Date: March 17, 2025 I LOVE Thai everything and have become a bigger fan of milk/thai tea. The bestie had introduced me to this store once before at their Chinatown location but I was so excited to see they opened up a location in rosemead! Although I'm in the SFV, I visit family often in the SGV so it's been a great addition! Stopped by around 6pm Monday night and it was pretty empty. Ordered and the drinks came out fairly quickly. I got the green Thai tea, of course, the OG and it was perfect! The sweetness and consistency is just wow! The best part of the place is that they seal the drinks before putting on the lid! I don't know how many times I accidentally poke too big a hole and spill all over. Genius!! Thanks so much for your amazing drinks! Will def be back ! read more

First time here (my friend raves about the one in LA!!!) and I got the original Thai tea 30% sweet no toppings. It was so good!!!!!! Perfect sweetness. Not too sweet, just sweet enough. My mom's drink was too sweet to her liking, and Bao was SO accommodating and sweet to re-make hers. What great service!! The space is spacious and clean. They have cute little details with the lights that are photo-op ready! Would definitely recommend checking this place out! If you're a Thai tea lover, run don't walk! read more
Came for the pandan boba, left feeling happy! I opted for the mango green tea with pandan boba. Best pandan boba I've ever had! It was soft, chewy, and packed with pandan flavor in each bite. Service was fast (under 5 minutes)! There were lots of places to sit for our big group of 7. Great spot to chill with your friends for a bit after eating out. Parking lot is about small-medium sized and is shared with other restaurants in the plaza. We arrived on a Friday evening, and parking was easy to find! I also tried their green thai tea & cocoa latte from my friends -- and they all have a distinct, yummy flavor that tastes different from other boba shops! Parking may not be the best in this little plaza but on a Thursday evening at 8, we were able to easily find parking and try out this thai tea place. The place is nicely decorated, very aesthetic and clean and there are kiosks to conveniently order. The place wasn't too busy which was nice and there were plenty of seating while waiting for drinks or chatting. While looking through the menu, I really wanted to try the rose teas they had but opted for the green tea thai tea drink which was pretty good! With 70% sugar, it still wasn't too sweet. I tried my friend's original thai tea with 70% sweetness and it was still pretty sweet. The thai tea flavor was comparable to authentic thai tea you can find in Thailand and I'll definitely be back to try more of the drinks they have with summer coming up! The prices of the teas are pretty comparable to surrounding tea houses in the area. The quality of the drinks are definitely worth the price in my opinion! I ordered the jasmine tea with honey, but it tasted too light. The honey completely overpowered the tea, and I couldn't really taste any jasmine flavor. The interior is okay, and the staff was nice, but I don't think I'll be making another visit. read more
i likely won't be back drinks: we got the green thai tea and the thai tea. at 100% sweetness it was extremely sweet. we were able to get it adjusted to 70% sweet. however, at both sweetness levels the both thai teas were not strong in flavor. i have had better thai tea with stronger flavor at other places. i was very disappointed since i had heard good things about this place. service: it is a self serve kiosk but the workers are nice. ambiance: there is a good amount of seating inside and it wasn't too busy when i went friday evening. read more
My drink was good but I need to be reminded to never order their drinks with the default 100% sweetness! I love sweet drinks and usually always get 100% sweetness at other places but here it was wayyy too sweet. I got the green Thai tea which was good, but I had to add water to it when I got home since it was so sweet. After I did that, it tasted fine! Thai tea seems to be everywhere these days. Restaurants, coffee shops, boba shops etc. Having been a fan of Thai tea since I was a little kid means I have had a lot of them, mainly here in Los Angeles and a few times in Bangkok years ago. So admittedly my Thai tea palette is probably more SoCal than authentic style. So when ChaTraMue finally landed here in LA I had to go check it out. From the first sip I could tell it was different. Way smoother in flavor and intensity and even the milk/cream they use is different. It was very good but strangely, being accustomed to the stronger flavors of the ones served locally, I found myself wanting more oomph. I'm sure my tastes are probably shunned on by the true Thai tea aficionados but hey, it is what it is. But all in all, great shop, nice staff and they have Thai lemon tea which I love and will have to try next time. read more
Thai green Tea was pretty good, not the best nor the most fragrant I've ever had, but better than the average. What I do appreciate is that they're not too sweet and quite easy to drink. located in the infamous plaza with crazyy traffic on weekends. luckily the wait wasnt too bad for a sunday afternoon. d r a n k s : thai tea (8/10) if you love your thai tea sweet... this is the place. the first sip was an instant hit of creamy sweetness. however, dont let the sweetness foul you into thinking theres no caffeine. I got the zoomies after drinking half... green thai tea (9/10) if youre a fan of a more floral tea based drink, then this is the one. i would say its less sweet than the OG thai tea but still super good. i would prefer ordering this one over the original thai tea.... v i b e s : very friendly staff... while i was taking my drink picture, one of the ladies working there removed the straw trash in front of our drinks so we could get a good shot LOL (super sweet). good place to study since they offer free wifi! the seat are comfyy and they have a bigger table in the back for student study sessions. majority of the other tables are single circular ones. p a r k i n g : this plaza is infamous for the horrific parking lot with traffic and pedestrians walking everywhere. i would avoid this place on a weekend night. but anything for a good dessert drank right? :3 read more

This Thai tea spot is pretty small with only a couple chairs and tables and parking can be challenging too since it shares it with some other restaurants but it helps that it's a huge parking lot. I got one half sugar and the other was regular sugar and I definitely enjoyed my half sugar one more because the regular sweet was way too sweet for me. The tea was super flavorful and high quality! Probably one of the best Thai tea I've had! I placed my order online so it was super convenient and easy. Service was friendly and welcoming. Definitely will come back! read more
Tried this out with a friend, and we both ordered the original thai tea with 100% sweetness. I also added egg pudding to mine. The thai tea was really good! I was expecting it to taste like most thai teas I've tried, but I think ChaTraMue's is more flavorful. The egg pudding was standard, although it was a bit bland. If you're looking for a good Thai tea spot (emphasis on tea), then this is the spot. I got the Original Thai tea 70% sweet with boba. You can really taste the tea and since I like tea it was great! The boba was soft and chewy. Note: Strong tea so if you're sensitive to caffeine, beware. The service was very quick and the workers were friendly. The place is also super cute, decorated with modern cutesy furniture. It's a nice spot to sitting and talk with a friend after a bowl of pho from next door (exactly what we did). read more

The interior is really nice and cute with decent amount of seating. It'd probably be a great work/study spot too. Staff were friendly! I came here the other day because I saw that this place was new near me. They serve a lot of variations of Thai Tea and I decided to try the original Thai Tea and Green Thai Tea at 70% sweetened with extra ice. Their tea is a bit sweet for me at 70% sweetness, but definitely a great plus that I was able to select extra ice. I would definitely come back to try their other drinks like Yuzu Thai Tea or their Rose Thai Tea Latte with pandan boba; which sound really delicious. Customer service was great and the place is clean. Parking here was rough though because of all the other popular businesses around the area. I do recommend doing street parking down a block if needed. read more
