I can not recommend this place enough! The staff, the salon & the service/pricing are all top notch. Service/ Pricing: 10% off for everyone and 20% off for students! They also have a punch card which gets you $10 off on your 10th visit. They also have a two week policy for all gel services. If a nail chips call ahead and they will fix it for you! I love Kevin!! I came here on a whim because another customer was so satisfied with her service. My gel nail service was 28$ which is a steal for the quality that I got. Kevin was so communicable and gave me great conversation and quality. I love that this salon does a 14-day guarantee for gel nails, which means that if something happens within fourteen days, they'll repair it for you. That's not something you see often. There was a small wait when I got but I didn't mind waiting since they didn't rush the customer in front of me, which happens sometimes at other places. They have drinks and remember to offer it to everyone, which is key. They have great prices. The salon is vey clean. Everyone seems to have good conversation with the technicians, which I love in as salon since getting nails done is a calming experience- I like to talk during it! Literally the worst nails I have ever had done and I have gotten my nails done in rinky-dink shacks while backpacking. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure and within 24 hours my GEL MANICURE IS ALREADY CHIPPING and my pedicure is messed up. Within 48 hours my nails have turned black for whatever reason. Not to mention this happened to all my friend I went with. My friend showed a picture of the nails she wanted and the nail tech made her nails too short. When she brought it up to her attention (before any painting occurred) the nail tech refused to fix it and threatened that she had to pay more in order to fix the length she messed up????? However, the SNS polish on one of my nails ended up cracking while I was in DC and I wanted to get it fixed. My acrylics were great but the nail polish didn't even last a day before getting scratched and chipped. I left the building with perfect nails but then slowly started to realize even the smallest touch damaged them hours after they'd been dry. The color is light and she really should have done three layers of polish and two top coat for protection but unfortunately only did two color and one top coat. Normally I like to wear my acrylics at least three weeks and I don't see that happening given the damage done in just one day. read more

So I used to LOVE coming here, I had been a faithful customer over the last 2 or so years and recently the quality has changed. The staff is still extremely kind but they had resorted to using a machine to getting gel off (instead of acetone and foil)...this isn't okay for several reasons, the main one being that it leaves the nail thin and once the polish is on, it kind of looks bumpy. Last time I was there I repeatedly asked the technician to help me file out a rough edge that they kept missing, it turned into me taking the file and doing it myself. I did t want to make her feel bad but I also don't like the rough edge feeling along my nails. Upon leaving the salon and taking a good look at my nails I noticed that the tech painted right down to my skin which immediately started having a creased look after a few hand washes. About 2 days after my nails started chipping BAD. Like I said, the staff is nice but I couldn't help but notice I didn't recognize anyone. I visited charm nails for the first time on Saturday April 14, 2018. This nail salon was recommended by a co worker. I always get SNS nails in the French manicure. I had previously been going to another nail salon and they just couldn't seem to get it right. They were always done too thick and my nails never seemed to get it right, in short my nails always looked unnatural. Well the nail technician who did my nails, nailed it no pun intended. Went for the first time last Friday (11/4/16) and I really had a great experience. I don't get my nails done that often so this was a treat. I enjoyed the gentlemen painting Winter scenes on the mirrors as Christy worked magic on my hands. She was quiet and thorough. I used to be a regular here and was always happy with the service. I went in today for a first time in a while and had the worst experience in a long time. My nail tech added an oil or something that turned my nude color to yellow. When they said it's dry and ready to go, it got chipped right away. I asked to have it redone and they said they couldn't do it until later that day. I did not plan to or want to spend my whole day here. So I asked for a refund for the manicure and gave me $9 back, which was just an insult. I now spent over an hour here, with terrible nails and now have to get it done elsewhere. I don't totally understand the rave reviews for this place. I stopped in for a pedicure today, and while they were friendly and did a solid job with the polish, the place was not clean and I would never come back. They do not clean out their tubs besides spraying and rinsing them (which is the primary way people get infections and fungus), and reuse the flip-flops and toe dividers which are supposed to be disposable...the floor, and chairs, and stairs leading up to the place all leave something to be desired. I am just praying not to get some gross infection now. read more

So I went to the salon based on great reviews! However, almost 2 weeks ( 11 days) out my gel nails LOOL HORRIBLE!!! They started chipping, then the chunks of polish would just fall off! Horrible. I was in Georgetown running errands and decided to try this nail salon due to its reviews. I can't complain at all about the service. It's strictly why I'm giving them three stars rather than less. Their service is phenomenal and would come back to a salon due to it. They weren't rushing, but still quick and efficient. I do have to say, being a cold day, the scrubs and lotions they used added onto my cold sensation already on my legs. I guess I'm spoiled by my usual nail salon that heats their lotions. Also, I got my nails done on Monday and today is Saturday. There's this weird residue on my nails that has NEVER happened to me before. I'm a nurse and always have my nails done as a treat to myself for relaxation and this is just a first I've seen this (pictured below). I didn't do anything out of the ordinary from my usual routine to have this happen, so I'm reiterating that I regularly get my nails done and this has never happened. I unfortunately will not be coming back. I paid too much to have this happen in less than a week. Gel mani and regular pedi for $65. Okay fine but the work wasn't the best or worth the price. Great, great people, not the best quality experience. Their manicures last super long and normally for me my manicures chip or peel within a few days. They have a ton of gel colors and they give you a two week guarantee on your gel manicure! If it chips within 2 weeks, you can go in and they will fix it for you. One time I had 2 nails that had chipped, so went in to get it fixed and the manicurist noticed a couple other nails were about to peel too, so she basically redid everything, which was so nice! Best nail salon I've been to in the DMV area. Good location in Georgetown. Maybe a 5-10 min walk after you're done shopping on M street. Called in the morning of to book an afternoon appointment. When I arrived they were ready for me- no wait time at all. They don't overbook so the wait if there is any is super manageable. The service was exceptional and I will DEFINITELY be returning. I got a regular manicure (taking a break from gel which I've had for several manicures in a row). I usually hate getting regular manis because before I even leave the salon there's chips and imperfections but for the first time ever my nails are absolutely perfect!!!! I can't wait to get my gel done here in the future. Price is reasonable too and they play mainstream pop music in the salon. I def recommend but I almost didn't post this because they seem so popular and busy I hope they'll have a spot for me next time haha.
