Back home in California, I have a specific technician who does my pedicures--she's not afraid to dig in and tackle ingrown nails. The person I had while visiting had a gentler approach, despite my request to dig. It was clear she wasn't very experienced, though she was sweet as pie. This is a nice place, and they would usually fit me in for a pedicure last minute. This weekend, I scheduled 2 mani / pedis for my mother and I. I wanted a gel manicure, but they gave me dazzle dry polish telling me it was basically gel without needing the UV light and was removable with normal polish remover. The polish chipped within a few hours, and now- 36 hours later, is terrible and chipped on several nails. They definitely have normal gel because I saw the UV lights- and I asked about it several times. I'm not sure why they gave me this, but I am super disappointed read more

My nail technician, Nelida, was absolutely sweet and accommodating as she started off a little rough when doing the cuticles on one of my feet and after I expressed it, she immediately adjusted and continued to check on me along the way. Her services were excellent and she massaged away all of the stress in my feet. What an experience! I would say that the pedicure basins are cute but felt a little crammed and that was because of the items that the staff needed to place on top of it in order to do your nails. But, this didn't deter me from the services because the experience was worth my time and money! Definitely recommend this place for the person looking to get away and enjoy quality service! I went to Nailsaloon with two friends. I got a gel manicure, they both tried Dazzle Dry; we all got French tips. Afterwards we all had the same reaction: we liked the salon, we liked some of the perks (sugar scrub, dish for jewelry, drink, etc) but we weren't all happy with our technicians. My tech asked me if I wanted cuticles done which surprised me, because it was included in the service online. I said yes, but wish I hadn't! My tech caused multiple fingers to bleed and cuticles to split without proper trimming, and my cuticles looked worse and hurt more than when I went into the appointment. My tech accidentally cut one nail way too short and apologized. She was also quite rough with my old gel removal and the scratches on the nail are showing through my polish. At the end of service, she pulled out chrome and was about to apply it before I interrupted and said I had not requested chrome and did not want to pay extra for it. However, my tech was very patient and swatched multiple colors when I was indecisive, which I really appreciated! The final result looks great, but my fingers were throbbing. My friend was frustrated because her tech told her that it wasn't possible to do a French tip with Dazzle Dry OR with normal nail polish, only with a gel manicure and she would have to upgrade. Meanwhile, my other friend's tech began a Dazzle Dry French tip without any issue! The atmosphere is nice, the prices are better than some salons in DC, and our nails look great. But it sounds like your experience will vary based on who is your tech, and there's a risk of add ons being pushed on you. I would try Nailsaloon again, but I think I would try somewhere else first. read more

I really enjoyed my first time at the nailsaloon on 14th, the duo at the front desk were kind and attentive despite the busy salon atmosphere and the technician the male receptionist referred and switched me to, Luis, was everything I needed! My only gripe with this salon is the singular brand of gel polish you guys offer as well as the quality of the polish. My $75 gel pedicure lasted me 4 days before randomly smudging (which is odd because I've never had this happen). Pretty disappointing outcome for the price point hence my star rating. I would love to visit you all and Luis again but I'd have to purchase and bring my own polish for sake of quality and longevity and I'm not even sure you all allow that. Warning: I'm about to sound like a paid promotion, but I'm just a girl who's been searching in vain for a new salon after moving to DC. Fingers crossed, but I think this is the one. Nail Saloon is such a breath of fresh air. There are so many thoughtful touches that take it from good to great. OVERALL: Their online scheduling experience is easy to use. They're transparent about pricing and what is included with each service, and there are lots of technicians to choose from. The salon itself is large, bright, and clear. It's clearly designed with a lot of care and intention. The nicest thing is how friendly everyone is, from the front desk to the nail techs. (Also, their playlist makes my millennial heart happy). It's a noticeable difference from the majority of nail salons I've been to. GEL MANI: Taylor and Gigi have done my gel manis so far, and they've both been great. Both were so careful with cleaning up my cuticles (which I'm particular about). I was impressed with how Taylor checked and triple checked that there were no ridges as she removed my polish and buffed my nails, and Gigi did an impressive job of mixing colors to match a shade I was looking for. They also put sunscreen on my hands before putting them under the UV, which is something I've considered doing before but hadn't seen in practice. Pretty great touch! They offer a "speedy mani" ($50) and "saloon mani" ($40) for, with the latter including things like a sugar scrub and a hot cream treatment. I booked the "saloon mani" just for fun, thinking I wouldn't really need the full experience going forward. I was wrong, and it felt worth it to me! Really took it from a routine appointment to a pampering experience. The only downsides I can think of are 1) gel polish removal isn't included in the prices above, even if you got your gel done with them and 2) gel manis I've gotten here haven't lasted as long as they usually do, although it's still a solid 2-ish week period. I believe it's because they use non-toxic brands, as I wasn't familiar with any of the brands they had. read more

After having a nightmare experience at another dc nail salon, I took a break from getting my nails done. I finally decided to give a new place a shot and am so happy I did - Nailsaloon is the best!!! The space is so clean, the technicians are super sweet, and you can have wine (or water/coffee) while getting your nails done. Honestly such a lovely treat yourself experience! I've easily been 10-15 times and never pick a technician, all but one has been incredible (the one technician was clearly new and did an ok, but not amazing job). The Nailsaloon in Logan Circle is my go to for my manicure needs. I am not someone who regularly gets my nails done, but when I do, I always know I can count on them. Their facility is clean with long tables and a bright space. The chairs are comfortable, the music is great and the staff is friendly. They always offer you a beverage upon arrival, and they do host events for groups, which I've done before and they are super accommodating. I only get the Saloon Mani, so I can't speak to gel or design experiences for nail art. That said, several of my close friends love Altan (@nailsnyaltan). Most recently I had Ramzia and she was super kind and did a great job. From a price standpoint, I know Nailsaloon can be a tad more expensive than other salons. I am a firm believer of you get what you pay for, and the overall experience including their sugar scrub, hot towels and moisturizing lotion are what set them apart. read more

I went back today 4/20/25 and got taken care of by Hallie. She did a great job and had great attention to detail. Of course she was super sweet as well. The GM, Katherine was so kind and helpful when addressing my issue with my last visit and offered a free pedi to rectify the issue. I found this to be so kind and I'm very pleased that they wanted to make things right. Marlon was exceptional, per usual. He truly is a gem. My brother tagged along and was taken care of by Tania, who was super sweet and did a great job. My brother doesn't usually get pedicures and he said his feet felt great after. Since I hadn't received a confirmation, I followed up on Wednesday--my message was read, but I got no response. I followed up again today, and suddenly, they tell me they're just now booking appointments. When the so-called manager called me, her tone was dismissive and unprofessional--essentially saying "sorry, get over it." Meanwhile, if you're even five minutes late, they'll call you multiple times. If you don't cancel in time, they charge you. But when they inconvenience you? No accountability. The only reason I keep coming back is my nail lady, but the front desk service is terrible. If management doesn't improve, I may have to reconsider. read more

I called and they said they could remove it but the person that did my nails filed them down too much and now half of my fingernails are sensitive to the touch. Super bummed to write this review, but after two disappointing experiences, and submitting my feedback directly to the business with no response, I wanted to share my experience. The last two times I went, I brought friends who were both new moms for a catch-up and pampering session for them. The first time was for a manicure, second time for a pedicure. I do like their online booking system and that you can book services together and they do a good job of seating you together. However, as several other reviewers have mentioned, the service is rushed and not even close to the length of time they advertise. For the high price, they shouldn't be rushing you and should at least give you close to the time advertised on their website/booking system. It feels like they are just trying to finish getting your nails done as quickly as possible and not concerned about the rest of the experience. The first time (manicure) we did a saloon mani, which is advertised as 35 minutes on their website. It took 25 minutes (note that they have multiple clocks up on the wall that you are facing, so I definitely noticed!) I thought maybe they were running behind for some other appointments, but after my nail tech was done I noticed she was hanging out towards the back of the salon with other techs (not servicing someone else), so I felt like it was cut short for no reason. But I thought it was maybe a one off bad experience. A few months later I tried again and went back with a different friend for a pedicure. I took note of when we sat down--the gel saloon pedi is advertised as 50 minutes, but I was done in 35. The massage, which is my favorite part of a pedicure (duh!) was so so short, like literally 1 minute per leg and not very good (just light rubbing basically, no real effort to massage). Given that the service was overall 15 minutes short, I would have really liked a longer massage at least. It was so disappointing. They don't have massage chairs for the pedicures either, as most other places do. The nail tech did a good job shaping and painting my toes but that's sort of the bare minimum you expect for a pedicure. This time the nail tech did immediately move to another client, so I suspect the service was cut short because they were busy and she was trying to get to the next person. I never tip less than 20%, so with tip I paid $70 for a 35 minute pedicure. Wayyy too expensive for the level of service we received. Especially because I was taking my new mom friends for pampering, I felt so disappointed for them that the experience was rushed and not relaxing. The front desk did not ask how everything was, so I didn't provide feedback there. But I did get an email afterwards asking "tell us how we did," so I clicked through and provided this feedback, because I always want to give businesses the chance to receive feedback privately and reach out. It has now been over a month and I never heard anything back. Super disappointed. I wouldn't recommend if you are looking for a nice pampered experience to match the price. read more

I did have a chipping problem on my second go-round with the same color of gel polish on my manicure, but I think that brand might not have worked for my nails (not the tech's fault!). I didn't quite get the amount of time I wanted with it, but then again it's not the same gel polishes full of chemicals that can last for 3+ weeks. I also had a pedicure done on my second visit and it was fantastic. My nail tech spent a lot of time making sure my feet and legs were pampered and I felt like I left the salon with new feet. Not only did the manicure completely smudge within hours, shape was terrible but I woke up at 1am with terrible pain on both thumbs. I visited nailsaloon for the first time yesterday and although the setup I inside was cute and efficient I was underwhelmed with the customer service. I was there to meet a friend for a manicure. When I arrived I wasn't greeted by the lady at the front desk and she didn't prompt me to pick a nail color. I mentioned that I was meeting a friend whom I found and was able to sit next too. I was redirected by the nail tech to pick a color after asking if I should select one first. I noticed that most customers had drinks but I was never offered a drink. I have been to nailsaloon twice and have been pleased both times. They take such good care of clients and make sure we're happy with the results. They put sunscreen on your hands before going under the UV light and only use non-harmful polishes. My gel manis from here do tend to chip earlier than at other places because of the different type of polishes. But I think that's a fair trade to not having formaldehyde and other carcinogens in the polish. Super cute place and the two techs I've had have been great, Gigi especially. Also, the speedy gel mani price is $32 , absolutely can't beat that price anywhere else in the city. read more

She literally raved about nailsaloon last week and here I am 7 days later with a fresh mani and a smile on my face every time I look at my nails! As of recently I have been getting dip powder, but I could tell the overall health of my nails was declining, so I decided to take this as a sign to try nailsaloon to whip these babies into shape! I booked appointments online for myself and a co-worker for the Saloon Mani for noon on a Friday afternoon and I'm glad we did because this place fills up FAST! When we arrived, we checked-in, and were told to choose our colors; however, my coworker requested a French manicure and I copied (I've never had one!). The French mani is an extra $8. My nail tech was Hannah and she was great! I especially LOVED the scrub that was applied to my hands and forearms and massaged in! Even after washing my hands, my skin still felt moisturized! Oh, and they clean your rings here! Yes, you read correct RING CLEANING! My ring hadn't been cleaned in who knows how long and looked brand spankin' new when I got it back. The whole time my coworker and I were here we ohh'd and ahh'd and not once did I smell any harsh chemicals or hear drilling of any sort.
