I think this Chagee is tricky. It's not in a very Asian neighborhood, yet it offers a very Asian menu of teas with NO BOBA. I like this concept, I like teas and milk teas with freshly brewed ingredients. I am glad that they are here and I hope people try it. It is definitely much less crowded than their other locations. I got their jasmine milk tea, which was fragrant. I think you should check it out if you would like to see why people enjoy milk teas so much outside of wanting excess sugar and/or boba.
We ate at a place not too far from here and walked over to try. They specialize in teas and the entire place smells like a tea dispenser. I got their Jasmine Boya Green Tea and Peach Oolong tea with a bit of sweetness each. They were both floral, vibrant, and just the right sweetness. The cashier was great in explaining how the different teas are brewed but I can't remember the specifics. Lots of seats inside with lots of windows and airflow. Parking could be a huge pain because it's metered and street only.
Loved Chagee in China, so to find out there are locations in SoCal was amazing!!! A must if you enjoy tea. It is the earthy aromatic tea flavors you could taste when enjoying your drink that I love so much. I ordered the Jasmine Boya Tea Latte to reminisce my China trip. If it ain't Chagee, I don't want it!! Light & not overall sweet. This is what I fell in love with. My bf got a Peach Oolong Citrus Teafresher and omg that drink was really refreshing! This drink is more sweet but you could taste the ingredients were also fresh. Had pulp from the citrus fruit and definitely had the oolong tea taste too!! The menu is a lot more simpler compared to when in China. They had merch but did not have all the other cute items. They had mugs, cups, and tumblrs on display. We were able to save 15% for downloading the app as a first time member. Also, on Wednesdays it said members get 50% off too!
Not overhyped. The drinks are sooo yummy. The customer service was also super helpful. Pretty spacious with some chairs to sit inside. Very vibey. Both the Peach Oolong Lemon Tea and Roasted Black Tea Latte were delicious. The peach oolong definitely needs to be drank right away because the lemon can make it a bit bitter. Plenty of parking in lots around and through the street!
10/10 Roasted Black Tea - This is definitely high quality tea, but damn, this drink is tiny for that hefty price tag!! Cost - $8.23
An excellent alternative for caffeine lovers and possibly a purer substitute. The interior is stunning, with a sleek, modern aesthetic that feels reminiscent of a contemporary Asian coffee house. A standout feature is the curated timeline of tea history in China, which adds a cultural layer to the experience. What truly sets this teahouse apart is its custom, espresso-style tea machine, where cutting-edge technology meets centuries-old tradition. I tried the BOYA Tea Latte (Jasmine Green), and it was DELICIOUS. The taste was nutty, subtly sweet, and beautifully extracted. However, the only drawback is the price, which runs higher than a typical Americano. They also offer a small souvenir section, including elegant porcelain cups for around $25.
I've been wanting to try Chagee tea house for a while so decided to visit this location on 2nd street in Long Beach. Definitely worth it. I tried their peach latte tea over ice. It was delicious, very fragrant and tasty. I wish they had more dairy options other than whole milk. Would prefer a fat free or 2%. They did have oat milk for nondairy option. Service was great, everyone was very friendly and helpful. Ambiance is very nice. Peaceful ambiance and the decor was very pretty.
This location is beautiful! Was able to find ample street parking in the neighborhood on a weekday afternoon. There was no wait. There is plenty of small seating and the inside/outside set up lifts up the mood (large windows out onto the street). Although there are plenty of nooks, every table was taken by someone so you have to be lucky to grab a workspace. Staff were really friendly. I signed up for the app and saw they have 10% off Wednesdays for members. I'm a fan of the roasted oolong, and my friends are huge fans of the Ceylon. Feels great to come here :)
I strolled in on Wednesday night at around 9:15 pm. I was like chagee? I've seen this on social media and thought we had to travel far to LA to experience this greatness. Much to my surprise, the Yelp review on this page are all high quality. As an elite, that is rare to see. Unfortunately as it was late night, I couldn't try any of the drinks due to the caffeine content but I was surprised to see that the menu was so simple. Additionally, the baristas there are amazing! The he gave great customer service as Justin took his time in explaining the WHOLE menu to me even though he knew I couldn't buy anything as there aren't any decaf. I promised I would soon return. All the tea have amazing sounding name like peach jasmine (I think) or oolong with latte milk. It all looks reasonably priced as well. But I'm also here for the ambiance! It is very nice and modern inside with plenty of nice seating arrangements and greenery. It's like a picture out of a magazine. I would love to chat with others here as every corner had someone talking. I can't wait to come back and update the review with the drinks but going off the other reviews which I trust, it seems like I won't regret it. Update: the following day (which is today), I visited early in the morning and ordered a large BOYA jasmine green tea latte with everything at the default setting. To my surprise I received 2 jasmine green tea sachets for free due to their promotion. I also noticed when I walked in the morning, Phillip greeted me from inside even before I walked into the store from the outside! Now that's customer service! Inside smelt like a delicious fragrance, I thought it was nice cologne or perfume but it was just tea as the baristas pointed it out!! Another patron who was sitting down, said thanks for the compliment, I'll take it! But he was kidding haha. Chagee should definitely make their own scent collection of fragrances, I would buy them! The Boya jasmine green tea latte tasted amazing the moment I sipped on the unique stir straw. It's a perfect blend of milk and tea that reminded me of 7 leaves but some tastefully! I was sipping it all day! The caffeine content is as much as a coffee but thankfully, I ordered the tea at around 9:45 am so it shouldn't affect my sleep schedule too much. I would definitely come back to this hidden gem on 2nd street.
High quality and super aromatic tea! Of the three I've tried (Amber Oolong Tea, Boya Jasmine Green Tea, Peach Oolong Tea), the Peach Oolong Tea Latte (less ice, less sugar) easily stood out! Strong peachy notes, fragrant, and refreshing without being overly sugary. This place is warm, minimalist, and beautifully zen. Perfect for slowing down, sipping your drink, maybe cracking open a book, or catching up with a friend. Also worth noting: the staff here are incredibly patient and friendly. They happily took time to help us pick something we'd actually enjoy. Overall, this spot is a peaceful little escape with great tea! Definitely a spot I'd come back to when I need a reset.
The modern chic decor transports all visitors to a tranquil mental retreat. The vibe here is so relaxing that it invites people to slow down and really allow the tea to do its magic. It's replenishment for the soul. It helps that the tea is freshly brewed and tastes amazing, but your brain drinks the entire experience, not just the tea. I am also a huge fan of Laufey, so seeing her sponsorship and listening to her music in the background makes me even happier.
Tried Chagee for the first time and it was at this location in LB. The shop is super fancy and not sure because it was still their soft opening, or this is how it will be, but their menu is super simple and there is NO boba... I embarrassed myself and asked for boba even though I didn't see anything about boba on the menu either and I usually DON'T even like boba.. not sure what possessed me to ask for it, maybe I just wanted to try asking it at a place like this for the sake of it. I got a Ceylon black tea latte, with oatmilk. Basically you can get any of their loose leaf tea with milk and it becomes a latte or "milk tea". Can adjust sweetness to your liking. The whole shop is super fancy and posh and so were the staff. I think tea-wise, it is okay, didn't really wow me. Very similar to other similar concept tea shop like T2 or Teavana. Super fancy take-out cups and straw. I have some friends who are obsessed with them and I can't quite figure out WHY. But, they were willing to stand in line for hours at their store grand-openings for free bag, mug, and other cool items. South Coast Plaza is opening a location soon in the summer, or so, not sure when, but my friends already told me to plan for it to go with them to get the free stuff. I think the draw is their free canvas bag is a Dior dupe, so people love to get their hands on them. I have to admit they are so cute and adorable, (my friend showed me). So, verdict is, would I come back? Yes, if I'm in the mood for expensive tea and in the area and if I have time to sip and enjoy the tea. Would I go out of my way to get Chagee? No.

This branch had a really great ambiance. Parking in the area is rough with only street parking or a lot next door that you have to pay parking for. We got lucky with finding a spot on one of the streets! Anyways, I really like how big this cafe is and that there's different areas to sit at and multiple outlets to plug your laptop or anything. This spot is fresh and new. The staff here are efficient and the way the drinks are made are really interesting. I specifically came here because I've become a big fan of Chagee after having Chagee a few times in other branches. I took my girlfriend here and her brother so we can enjoy the drinks and relax inside. There's not TOO much seats but just enough to snag an area and sit down and chill. My go-to is always the iced peach oolong tea, my girlfriend gets the amber iced oolong tea, and her brother tried out the peach matcha drink. He tried asking to substitute or remove the peach from the drink, but was told that the syrup used for the drink already comes pre-mixed with the matcha. So something to note. He really enjoyed the drink though and didn't find an issue with it at all!!! There's bathrooms, you just need a code and you can ask the staff after you order. There's some Chagee merch too at this branch so if you're interested in their hoodies, hats, or household cups and stuff, there's a great selection to look at. Overall, we all had a wonderful experience here and I wouldn't mind coming back!!! I also use the rewards app to get points and if you are a member, there's certain deals exclusive to members which is always nice!!! read more
SO SO happy Chagee is in Long Beach. The quality of their drinks is top notch and I'm a big fan of the chain. I usually get the Amber milk tea less sweet and with that, I feel like you can really taste the tea flavor and the quality comes through. They are also now selling matcha and that's delicious too. It's kind of fancy but also as simple as it can be & I'm here for it. The service is ok...mostly focused...nothing too crazy friendly or anything. The space is fairly large with a good amount of tables. read more

Came here on a saunday around 1pm small wait to order. Got the amber oolong tea latte with oat milk. It was good sweetness and size was big for a regular. Taste was smooth. Seating inside. Back parkinglot is 15 minutes free. All in all good tea. read more

So happy to see Chagee in Long Beach! Absolutely one of my favorite tea houses, this location definitely did not disappoint. Despite being in a busy area and near the beach, there was no issues with parking. It was pretty packed but they were so quick with our drinks! Descent amount seating options and it felt open, modern, and bright. read more
We went on a wednesday around 4 PM. I got the BOYA jasmine latte and peach oolong milk tea. They were both really good. The service was amazing and the staff even informed us of a 10% off promotion. It wasn't busy when we went during that time. They have a lot of seating area for people to chat and do some work. The parking situation is a bit difficult. There is a lot of paid parking but free parking on the street is really hard to find. The parking on the street was all filled up. Definitely a place to check out! read more
This location is right on 2nd street so either park on the street be mindful theres one way streets or the various little public parking sections pay at the kiosk or download the passport parking app. First time coming here and i really enjoyed it i liked the vibe very clean and modern i love how they use tea leafs here i ordered the frappe and OMG its like a way better thai iced tea very light and delicious you can still taste the quality of the tea in this frappe its so good its my new icey beverage i highly recommend read more

Finally got to try the long awaited Chagee at their second street location. I went on soft opening day on a Friday and it wasn't too busy surprisingly. I ordered their peach oolong tea latte and the BOYA jasmine green tea latte both regular sweet and ice levels. Their tea lattes are quite tea forward so you can really taste the quality of the tea. Milk and sweetness were mild to let the tea shine. In my opinion, my drink could've been a little more sweet. They were giving away coasters and plushies during their soft opening but the plushies ran out by the first hour. The store is clean, bright, and minimal. Will be back when I'm in the area! read more

Love this spot!! The quality is great. I always go for the BOYA Jasmine. Actually just flew to China for a business trip and tried various milk teas there only to realize that what we have here in LA slaps and is just as good. You don't have to fly halfway across the world to get great tea from the source. My only recommendation is do not order the oat milk version. Try to drinks AS-IS. Luckily the first time I ordered a few drinks, I tried oat milk versions as well as regular default milk versions. The default milk works MUCH better with the drinks. Although I'm lactose intolerant, I just suck it up and take a lactaid and it's worth it read more

A modern teahouse has hit the Shore and I'm here for it. It's crazy that this space was previously Dave's Hot Chicken. The layout has been completely transformed decked with plants and wood paneling. It's grand opening weekend so staff was really nice from the worker offering samples out front to the order taker behind the register. Menu items are currently limited. I found that out when I got the app and a particular drink was highlighted which they did not have. I just went with a hot roasted black milk tea latte. It was the temperature that I had to wait to cool down. Sweetness is adjustable. No charge for oat milk which is a plus in my book. I liked that the label on your drink tells you calories, caffeine, protein, and sodium. So awesome that when the line gets long, an employee will be with iPad in line to take your order. Very efficient. I'm looking forward to returning when they extend their menu and when the weather heats up, I see myself ordering a refreshing tea. Cheers to Chagee! read more
First time at this spot and wow, very impressive. Out in front of the store they had a table set up handing out samples of their products. Once entering the tea shop you are hit with a really clean and inviting area to sit and enjoy your beverage. The menu boards are easy to navigate. The staff was friendly. The manager Alex gave us a quick background on the company and recommended some drink combinations and they were amazing. I ended up getting the Roasted black lemon tea that has a taste similar to an Arnold Palmer. Delicious. I like the fact that the health information is printed on the label. Whether its iced or hot this tea house has something for just about everyone. There is a parking lot behind the store along with street parking. Get your drink on. read more
Boya jasmine green tea latte - got regular sweetness and less ice, perfectly sweetened with strong floral jasmine flavor. it's very similar to Molly Tea, I do prefer Chagee though bc the tea flavor is stronger. Street/parallel parking available. Friendly staff and quick service. There's no wait/line when I came at 8PM on a Sunday. read more
Chargee has a minimal menu with traditionally brewed tea and extracted (using an espresso machine) tea. I tried an oolong latte, which was good but didn't blow me away. They've created a bright comfortable interior for hanging out, but don't offer dine in cups for tea. I'd much rather be able to drink my tea there in ceramic or glass cups rather than the to-go containers they offer. It would also be great to be able to order a pot of tea to enjoy while there. read more

Super ecstatic to hear that chagee is opening more locations now as their original location in Century City is a but too far out for me. Since they are pretty new, they only have a handful of items on their menu. They have a promotion of 15% off one beverage when you download the Chagee app. The peach oolong pure tea was alright. It felt a bit watered down and it could've been stronger in my opinion. It was completely empty on a Sunday evening when I went. Theres a parking lot in the back or street parking. read more

Absolutely loved this location of CHAGEE. The fruit teas are amazing, and the jasmine lemon tea stood out in particular with its bright, lemon-forward flavor that's super refreshing without being too sweet. The Long Beach store was very clean and well-kept, and I really appreciated being able to try samples before choosing. The service and overall experience were consistently great--I ended up coming twice in three days while on a work trip. Easily one of my favorite fruit tea spots and somewhere I'd gladly return to again. read more
Came here on opening weekend and there wasn't a huge line in the evening! You'll need to find street parking since there is no parking lot for tos location. There were lots of people enjoying their drinks in the store. A great place to do some work or catch up with friends! Table and lower counter seating are available throughout the store. All their drinks do not fall on the sweet side which is perfect for tea lovers. The menu was smaller than other locations at the time, but it might be due to the grand opening. Both the Roasted Black Tea Latte and Boya Jasmine Green Tea Latte have a strong tea taste. Make sure to mix the dairy portion with the tea or else it won't have the intended latte taste. I preferred the jasmine green tea latte due to its lighter floral flavor profile. The roasted black tea latte has an earthier flavor profile. Good customer service. Very patient employees that are helpful with suggestions. I went in the early morning so it was empty. Drinks are kinda pricy but delicious. Lovely quality tea and milk. Balance and tea brew is top notch. They do have weird flat straws made of three very small coffee stirrer sized straws. I do appreciate that it allows you to truly savor the drink but it's awkward for sure. Not a fan that you cannot really adjust ice levels. You can get a hot drink or cold, nothing in-between. I recently visited CHAGEE Modern Tea House and ordered the Amber Oolong Latte -- and it truly showcased the quality of their tea. The oolong had a beautifully smooth, almost silky body with subtle roasted notes and a natural floral aroma. There was a gentle earthiness to it, slightly toasty and lightly sweet on its own, without any bitterness. You can tell it's high-grade oolong because the flavor is layered and clean, not flat or overly tannic. The oat milk blended seamlessly, adding creaminess without muting the tea's complexity. It didn't overpower the oolong at all -- instead, it softened the edges and allowed the tea's roasted, fragrant notes to come through in every sip. It felt refined and well balanced. The only downside was that they weren't able to adjust the ice level. I prefer less ice, so that was a bit unfortunate. Still, the drink was flavorful and enjoyable regardless. The aesthetic of the space is great -- modern, minimal, and inviting. Overall, a solid spot for thoughtfully crafted tea in Long Beach, and I'd definitely come back to explore more of their menu. read more

My sister told me about the grand opening and that the first 250 guests would receive a plushie and a Chagee tumbler -- you already know we had to be there. We got in line at 7:30am and I was already around the 100th person by the time stamps were handed out at 8:40am. The dedication was real. The ambiance was great -- lively, exciting, and definitely grand-opening energy. That said, the tea drinks were a bit watered down. My sister mentioned that normally their drinks have a much stronger tea flavor, so I'm hoping it was just due to the high volume and rush of the event. Overall, I'm happy we scored the plushies and tumbler (worth the early wake-up call!), and I'm willing to give their tea another try when it's less hectic to really experience the flavor they're known for. read more

This felt like a very modern zen tea house. We ordered the ice peach oolong lemon tea and the iced peach oolong tea latte. Both delicious. Both drinks were similar except the latte just had milk in it. I would order the ice peach oolong lemon tea again as it was very refreshing. Friendly service. Located off E 2nd St in Long Beach. Street parking available but can get tough since the area is congested and lots of eating places, bars and stores in the area. Metered parking as well. Luckily I got a spot right across the street and meter parking was free after 7pm till 10am I believe not sure on the weekends. This place is nice has a few tables and seats. I got the iced Peach Oolong tea latte less sweet it was good. The gal who took my order was helpful and was patient while I was logging into the app so she can scan my QR code. Overall a cool spot just finding parking when it's busy in the area could be a challenge. read more
