Jasmine Tea
Paul L.

An excellent alternative for caffeine lovers and possibly a purer substitute. The interior is stunning, with a sleek, modern aesthetic that feels reminiscent of a contemporary Asian coffee house. A standout feature is the curated timeline of tea history in China, which adds a cultural layer to the experience. What truly sets this teahouse apart is its custom, espresso-style tea machine, where cutting-edge technology meets centuries-old tradition. I tried the BOYA Tea Latte (Jasmine Green), and it was DELICIOUS. The taste was nutty, subtly sweet, and beautifully extracted. However, the only drawback is the price, which runs higher than a typical Americano. They also offer a small souvenir section, including elegant porcelain cups for around $25.

We went on a wednesday around 4 PM. I got the BOYA jasmine latte and peach oolong milk tea. They were both really good. The service was amazing and the staff even informed us of a 10% off promotion. It wasn't busy when we went during that time. They have a lot of seating area for people to chat and do some work. The parking situation is a bit difficult. There is a lot of paid parking but free parking on the street is really hard to find. The parking on the street was all filled up. Definitely a place to check out!

This location is beautiful! Was able to find ample street parking in the neighborhood on a weekday afternoon. There was no wait. There is plenty of small seating and the inside/outside set up lifts up the mood (large windows out onto the street). Although there are plenty of nooks, every table was taken by someone so you have to be lucky to grab a workspace. Staff were really friendly. I signed up for the app and saw they have 10% off Wednesdays for members. I'm a fan of the roasted oolong, and my friends are huge fans of the Ceylon. Feels great to come here :)

Peach Oolong Tea Latte (less ice, less sugar) is my go-to! Strong peachy notes, fragrant, and refreshing

High quality and super aromatic tea! Of the three I've tried (Amber Oolong Tea, Boya Jasmine Green Tea, Peach Oolong Tea), the Peach Oolong Tea Latte (less ice, less sugar) easily stood out! Strong peachy notes, fragrant, and refreshing without being overly sugary. This place is warm, minimalist, and beautifully zen. Perfect for slowing down, sipping your drink, maybe cracking open a book, or catching up with a friend. Also worth noting: the staff here are incredibly patient and friendly. They happily took time to help us pick something we'd actually enjoy. Overall, this spot is a peaceful little escape with great tea! Definitely a spot I'd come back to when I need a reset.

The modern chic decor transports all visitors to a tranquil mental retreat. The vibe here is so relaxing that it invites people to slow down and really allow the tea to do its magic. It's replenishment for the soul. It helps that the tea is freshly brewed and tastes amazing, but your brain drinks the entire experience, not just the tea. I am also a huge fan of Laufey, so seeing her sponsorship and listening to her music in the background makes me even happier.

Absolutely loved this location of CHAGEE. The fruit teas are amazing, and the jasmine lemon tea stood out in particular with its bright, lemon-forward flavor that's super refreshing without being too sweet. The Long Beach store was very clean and well-kept, and I really appreciated being able to try samples before choosing. The service and overall experience were consistently great--I ended up coming twice in three days while on a work trip. Easily one of my favorite fruit tea spots and somewhere I'd gladly return to again.

Tea: 8/10 Service: 10/10 Ambiance: 10/10 This spot is for true tea lovers who also appreciate a calm, well-designed ambiance. The team in you is sparse but has the variety of teas that most true tea lovers: black tea, green tea and oolong tea. You can enjoy any of their teas in pure form or latte form (I highly recommend trying their peach oolong tea pure or with minimal sugar). The interior design Is elevated and designed with impeccable taste. There are a lot of organic shapes, soft, warm lighting, and ample seating and outlets for those. Looking for a place to work outside of home. The service is excellent too! The young lady at the register was kind enough to discreetly. Tell me my fly was down when I walked in. And I am so grateful to her. My only constructive feedback is I wish they offered something complimentary to the teas, some type of food or snack item. I wanted to sit for a long period of time to do some reading with my tea but I got hungry it had to leave.

A friend took me here to try and I love it. Beautiful setting and I tasted strong tea in my ice blended drink.

Came here on a saunday around 1pm small wait to order. Got the amber oolong tea latte with oat milk. It was good sweetness and size was big for a regular. Taste was smooth. Seating inside. Back parkinglot is 15 minutes free. All in all good tea.

This location is right on 2nd street so either park on the street be mindful theres one way streets or the various little public parking sections pay at the kiosk or download the passport parking app. First time coming here and i really enjoyed it i liked the vibe very clean and modern i love how they use tea leafs here i ordered the frappe and OMG its like a way better thai iced tea very light and delicious you can still taste the quality of the tea in this frappe its so good its my new icey beverage i highly recommend

Specialty tea, don't look for boba here! I ordered the iced jasmine milk tea. My tea was great quality, very smooth, well balanced, refreshing! Service is appropriate. Beautiful space, some seating, nice place to hang out. Hip!

Chargee has a minimal menu with traditionally brewed tea and extracted (using an espresso machine) tea. I tried an oolong latte, which was good but didn't blow me away. They've created a bright comfortable interior for hanging out, but don't offer dine in cups for tea. I'd much rather be able to drink my tea there in ceramic or glass cups rather than the to-go containers they offer. It would also be great to be able to order a pot of tea to enjoy while there.

Finally got to try the long awaited Chagee at their second street location. I went on soft opening day on a Friday and it wasn't too busy surprisingly. I ordered their peach oolong tea latte and the BOYA jasmine green tea latte both regular sweet and ice levels. Their tea lattes are quite tea forward so you can really taste the quality of the tea. Milk and sweetness were mild to let the tea shine. In my opinion, my drink could've been a little more sweet. They were giving away coasters and plushies during their soft opening but the plushies ran out by the first hour. The store is clean, bright, and minimal. Will be back when I'm in the area!

The lovely man working here, I do believe he might be the owner, pushed together three smaller tables together so my group of five would have somewhere to work. If it weren't for him, we would've left immediately to find somewhere else. I ordered a Mexican hot chocolate and a blueberry muffin that I asked to be warmed! Let's start with service: the woman at the front was very dry, quiet, and uninterested. We tried asking her if we could add cold foam or sweet cream to our drinks to make them sweeter, and she said it was only available on seasonal drinks. As an avid matcha latte consumer, this made zero sense to me. While I don't blame her bc she likely had nothing to do with that decision, she wasn't kind in relaying that information or trying to help me find something on the menu I may like. Her demeanor remained the same when my friend ordered his drink, and we both felt a very negative energy coming from this woman, simply put it didn't seem like she wanted to be there taking our order. This was around 1pm last Saturday (the 21st of March), so they had a decent amount of customers, but it wasn't some crazy morning rush. Forward to the drink : we grabbed our drinks which came out promptly. I tasted my matcha and just as I suspected due to the lack of sweetness, it just tasted like grassy chalk. I assumed that my friends latte would be better, as matcha can tend to have an earthy taste to it to begin with. Then I tried his... chalky and sour. Due to the lack of customization and the barista's attitude, we just took a couple sips and tossed our drinks. It was a super negative experience for a place I really really wanted to like. I think allowing people to use sweetener and cold foam on more than just seasonal lattes would be a great first start, and perhaps training the staff on appropriate customer interaction would also help. Loved the branding on this spot, but it seems like the people who work there don't want to be there and it really put a damper on the experience, and for a place so cute, the drinks and vibes should be top notch.

When the employee finally came out with my order, I said "hello" and got no response. I then said "thank you" while grabbing the drinks and was met with an extremely rude, dirty look. His attitude was immediately hostile for no reason. When I calmly told him he was being rude, he responded sarcastically and then escalated the situation by yelling at us and saying "f*ck you" before walking away. I was honestly in complete disbelief. That is unacceptable behavior from anyone, especially someone working in customer service. If you're in the area, you're better off going to Stereoscope Coffee down the street. The staff there are friendly, welcoming, and they don't curse at their customers. Philz seriously needs to address how this location treats people, because no one should be spoken to like that just for picking up coffee.
