This place was so cool and tasty that I now am interested in the food scene here! Staff were all working together in harmony, food was tasty and unique and the area is very serious about reservations. We were rejected from another restaurant across the street. Much happier in here!

Was in Toronto and had heard good things about Chadwicks and the food did not disappoint. We were there when the branch menu was on and I got the smoked brisket hash, it came with these spicy potatoes that were fantastic My wife got an eggs Benny and she was equally impressed. Chadwick's was our fav type of place to eat, a lil hole in the wall place with fantastic food. I would recommend everyone try it.

Chocolate stout cake -- a nice light sweetness and a portion size that's very shareable. - A slice of chocolate stout cake with white frosting and whipped cream on a pink plate, set on a dark wooden table.

If you were trying to tour Toronto and eat "off the beaten path," this would be a great option. Cosy and warm, with nice staff and solid food options that are always changing. Today's standout was the chocolate stout cake-- not too sweet, and with a gorgeous density and moistness that was perfectly balanced by the white icing and the whipped cream. Very shareable! A lovely little neighbourhood place.

Chadwick's is located near the intersection of Dupont and Bathurst where this eatery specializes in comfort foods, drawing on inspiration from Latin American cuisine. This small neighbourhood restaurant has patio, indoor, and takeout available. Due to current pandemic restrictions, Chadwick's only has outdoor patio dining (covered!) as well as takeout. My party and I dined in on the Chadwick's back patio over the weekend. Reservations are highly recommended as walk ins may be limited. I was able to reserve a table a few weeks before. The back patio does have an awning that covers half their patio (owner said that they had to go through a lot of trouble to get it installed!). The other half of the patio can be shaded as they do have big umbrellas. The front patio has about 3-4 tables with umbrellas while the back patio has about 8 tables with a combination of the awning and umbrellas. The back patio is also secluded within one area. Currently, the seating time to dine at Chadwick's is limited to 1hr and 15 min. Upon arrival at Chadwick's, my party and I were promptly seated. Service was attentive and friendly as the waitress gave us ample time to look over the menu (menu is digital where you scan a QR code that is on the table - the link also asks for your information for contact tracing). We ordered food and drinks and the items arrived at reasonable time. As for the food my party ordered the following: - Venezuelan breakfast (I got this dish!). Unique and tasty as the baked plantain had a variety of ingredients on it (including popcorn!). I also got a choice of egg as well as either flatbread or tortillas. - Beef brisket hash -Tacos - huevos rancheros Overall, good food, service, and vibe. Would return for more!

Checked this place out for dinner before heading to Casa Loma for legends of horror. First thing you notice once you step in is the modern diner vibes. Then you scan the QR code on the table for the menu. Chadwick's serves Asian-Latin fusion food. I would recommend getting the Damn Damn noodles, Fish Frito, and the Tres Leche. The Damn damn noodles is pretty damn good. It's thick flat noodles in Thai curry sauce. There's sausage and bacon chicharron that makes the flavours pop. The fish frito are deep fried tilapia stripped. Freshly made with no oily batter. The tartare sauce that comes with this is so good and refreshing. The Tres leches is to die for. So milky and creamy.

This is another one of those spots whose popularity escapes moi. Even for a greasy diner I found them subpar. The wait times were OK for an early brunch (30 min or so) though the line ups had grown a lot by the time we were seated. Menu is spartan with a focus on a certain type of cuisine twist on diner food. I ordered a eggs benny with english muffin, side of potatoes and an add on of brisket. The service is decent. Now for the main attraction I personally found the brisket unacceptable. Eggs benny were ok for what one expects. Side of potatoes was poorly done as well. I don't think I will visit again. 2 Stars.

    weekend brunch

It's not obvious from the name but this place seems to specialize in South American dishes and hot sauces. We went on a weekend and discovered that only the brunch menu is available until 4 pm. That isn't what we expected. On a positive note, there are a large variety of side dishes available to put together a custom meal if you don't want eggs. The side dishes include beef brisket, potato hash, toast and so much more. The service was good. We didn't have to ask for our water to be refilled.

Gord and I had supper this evening at Chadwick's Craft Kitchen & Bar. It's a cute spot. We both ordered Way Southern Fried Chicken. I thought the chicken was okay. It wasn't juicy or hot, though. I suspect it was either overcooked or had been sitting around for a while. I squeezed lime on mine to add some moisture. I ordered a side of Jamon Chino (it was pork loin that was like ham) and Gord ordered a side of potato salad. I thought the Jamon Chino was okay and Gord thought his potato salad was just okay ... he said he wouldn't order it again.

Their version of a fluffy Japanese pancake. Denser than I thought!
    Cin C.

The brunch is what people come for, because they have large servings of hearty food with interesting twists to them. All my friends enjoyed their more traditional breakfast choices. However, I was looking for something lighter and decided to try their version of a fluffy Japanese pancake. The flavours were very light and delicate, but the pancake itself was a lot denser than expected. It was even denser than a usual pancake, so it felt like I was eating a cross between a cake and cornbread. The price is on the more expensive side, but that comes with the popularity of the place and the hipster vibes. It's not the biggest space, so be prepared to wait during meal hours.

    Smoked Brisket Tacos

We came here about thirty minutes before closing since they close after brunch to prepare for dinner. There is a patio available for seating that is more spacious than the inside. The seating for the inside is a bit more cramped for the booths. They had the brisket tacos and Japanese pancakes as their daily special today. Unfortunately, the pancakes were sold out. The brisket tacos were succulent and yummy- pairs very well with the hot sauce. They have their own hot sauce which is indeed very hot. I would recommend on trying a bit before going all out. The drowned omelette was fantastically flavorful and all the ingredients created a perfect harmony. Nothing was overpowering. Both of these dishes are recommended! The juice (grapefruit) was handsqueezed and very fresh. However, the cup was a lot smaller than expected for $4. The juice that is not handsqueezed is a dollar cheaper and the cup is a bit bigger. Both drinks were pretty good.

Fringe Night after performance dinner. So proud of my sister in law.
    Chatele O.

This was my first time here and usually I give places a second chance but I just can't this time. Not because the food was that horrible but because the attitude of the staff flabbergasted me. My sister in law was acting in a play at fringe festival so there wasn't much around the area under a 10 minute walk and it was already late. So we came here.... We just glances at the menu so didn't really focus on everything. Just saw the words burgers, fish and chips, tacos. So we went in thinking it's just regular pub food... We were wrong. It is a total hipster place. Usually I don't mind them but this place has my banging my head on the table. We ordered drinks and it took about 10 mins to receive, keeping in mind it wasn't that busy to have taken that long. Our food... Ya the food. My mom ordered fried chicken, which is like KFC pieces. She asked for only wing/thigh as she doesn't like breast/leg. They said no because it wouldn't work for them... umm. Okay. So than she asked if they can make them extra crispy, just leave them in a little longer. Waiter's response, I'll see what we can do but I can't promise anything.... umm.. Okay this is weird. We also ordered fish and chips (fish was tilapia, not the best choice on the restaurants part, as it was dry and tasteless). As well the burger which was almost a fight to not have all the fancy ingredients on it. I don't understand how a waiter is arguing that a person must have guacamole and onions on their burger when you tell them to leave it off. Completely unnecessary. If a patron says please leave if off why is it an argument? And finally that blew my mind... I asked for tomatoes for my burger and they said no we don't give them out we only use them for our house made ketchup... umm... what? You have tomatoes and refuse to let customers eat them even though you get more... I was missing something and frankly I don't care to find it. I get the area is old I understand that but if you are a big person like me or me when I was pregnant coming here is not your friend. The bathroom is downstairs. The stairs going down get smaller to a very bad point where I had to suck in my tummy and turn sidewise to get the to the bathroom... in the bathroom it's a cramped setup as well. So my non-skinny friends come here for food if you want but you will need to hold it till you get home. That hallway is killer. I'm not sure when they didn't put in the effort to at least make it even. It was way to much of a headache ordering and to small for the amount of people they want to cram inside. This is not my idea of a great place to eat. The only positive of this place is the desserts. We got the tires leche a coconut dream and rasperberry cheesecake. Both were amazing only wish the rest of our meals had been like this.

No one informed us of any delays, and when I mentioned I was in a rush for an appointment, the waitress insisted the food was "10 minutes away," which wasn't true. When I later directly asked the waitress to cancel the order and bring the cheque just for the drink, her apology felt insincere and was followed by a defensive explanation rather than accountability ("I wasn't aware you were in a rush"). At that point, I didn't really want to argue, I just wanted to pack up the food that finally came (although it was strangely already cold) and pay. We also found it strange that they wanted to charge an extra $1 just to serve the potato sauce on the side, even though it already comes with the dish, which we found to be odd This was just a simple dietary accommodation request to not coat potatoes in sauce but only serve a little on the side, we're not asking for anything in addition to the meal.
