Really great brunch! We came here on a weekday morning and there were still plenty of seats. We both got the salmon eggs benny. I got the spicy fries as a side and my bf got the home fries which I was a huge fan of. The home fries are like packed sliced potatoes that are fried afterwards. They were SO GOOD. We had the eggs benny with fresh pepper and salt. I also got a chai latte which was very tasty. I wasn't a huge fan of having the salmon with the pancake as it was a bit too heavy for me but I still liked the combination. There was also a hint of sweetness so it was a hint of sweet and savoury. Service was great and the restaurant is so cute and lowkey.

Something Benny is always a great idea! This brunch spot has some of the best breakfast potatoes in not only the junction, but Toronto! Also, BLUEBERRY SWEET'CAKES- vegan & gluten free. Hands down the best gluten free pancakes I've ever had. Service is great, they're only open for a small window of time and they don't take reservations. You have to go on a waitlist unless you get there early or you get lucky, because of this short window, the service is always fantastic and the severs are on it! Ambiance is a nice hole in the wall met by locals, mostly couples, sometimes families

Caesar cocktail -- drank some and then remembered that I should take a pic. The beets gave it rich color and depth to the taste.

We used Yelp to get a spot "in line" and it worked out perfectly. The food was tasty and unique. I got the Caesar cocktail and paired it with an Eggs Benny special that was on homemade English muffins with mushrooms.

This is a great little hole in the wall gem. We tried the brisket Benny, French toast, and fried green tomatoes! The potatoes are like nothing I have had before. Thinly sliced potatoes layered and sliced into blocks and fried and seasoned to perfection. Service was amazing. We would come here often if we lived in the area. Highly recommend!!

Dirty Food Eatery is a catchy name. The food contradicts it. This is a nice cafe in what feels like an artsy part of Toronto. I started a Saturday morning off getting my fill before having a day of running around the city. I ordered a brisket benny that surprised me. I'm talking smoked BBQ beef brisket on a potato pancake topped poached eggs and hollandaise. I had heard about their fries, so I had a side of fries with the benny. Totally blown away. I washed it down with an iced latte. Like most breakfast and brunch spots, this one packs out quickly. I arrived shortly after the doors opened and had been sitting for all of about 15 minutes before the place got flooded with patrons. That being said, get there early. It's evident that they get a lot of patrons because the food and service are outstanding.

A little popular brunch spot located in The Junction known for homestyled comfort food, and a menu that changes regularly. They don't take reservations here, but you can join the waitlist on Yelp, which gives you an estimated wait time for a table, making it pretty handy for those who live in the area so they can plan when to leave the house. The atmosphere here is pretty chill, but a bit noisy due to the small space.  I had to make an effort to speak louder to have a conversation. The food is served in very good portions, and well priced. I loved the asparagus and potato rosti eggs benedict dish I ordered. All the flavours within my dish blended nicely together, and I really enjoyed the balasamic hollandaise combination.  The staff here were all friendly, but because this place can be pretty busy, it can sometimes be hard to get the attention of someone, or may need to wait a bit for service.

Could not be more pleased. This is a very small, divey set-up with fantastic, creative breakfasts and fun, attentive staff. The iced Americano was also terrific.

Do yourself a favor and grab a breakfast buddy and come here. We split two dishes, one sweet and one savory. Dessert first, the Apple Johnny Cakes are out of this world delicious. These fluffy hot cakes melt the sweet cream on top faster than you can eat them. An excellent portion of apple butter complimented the dish, as did the granola chunks and powdered sugar that danced around the plate. Nothing beats those chunks of cinnamon apples in the middle of the cakes. We also enjoyed the Patas Bravas. These exceeded my expectations. They come as a generous mound of smothered potatoes topped with what looks like a farm-fresh egg. The side salad is perfect for cutting those starchy carbs. I would rate the coffee as average. Nothing wrong with it, but it would not stand out on its own. Service was attentive to our needs, but not overbearing. A great meal overall.

Special of the week was meatloaf eggs benny. Oh my lawd it was amazing

Pretty good but perhaps slightly overrated hipster joint. The chicken waffles were great except that the drumstick was raw toward the bone.

I would not hesitate to come back, but there are some things I would definitely not order again. Not order again: - mozzarella sticks - these were not cheesy, fresh, or flavourful, huge disappointment - prosciutto and zeppole - prosciutto were not very fresh or thinly sliced, weirdly presented with the zeppole on the side Will definitely order again: - heroic dose pasta - the pasta was so fresh, great sauce and plenty of mushrooms (my favourite dish) - NYC spicy rigatoni - really good flavours and the pasta texture was perfect (also homemade) - Caesar salad - so creamy and I think they make the sauce in house bc I tasted a hint of the anchovy umami flavour The pesto pasta was pretty good too. And so were all the pizzas. I can't comment much on the pizzas because I was heavily focused on their homemade pasta. Everyone enjoyed the pizzas though. The only things that was bad were the two appetizers we got. They also offer an extensive list of drinks - beer, wine, cocktails, mocktails. I really like this spot and will definitely be back!

I think it's also a cafe during the day. They had a live DJ playing some Berlin type music not too loud which was a nice touch. They have some non-alcoholic beers too which is nice. Inside has that cool vintage hipster Berlin feel to it. No cover, no lineups, just a nice local neighbourhood bar near the bridge and a bunch of other autoshops. Was walking back from an art gallery and we just literally stumbled upon it and sat down for a catch up drink. I feel like Toronto needs more places like this. Quiet neighborhood bars with a nice selection of music, quality cocktails, not too expensive, no lines ups. Nice slightly mature place for people to catch up and have a drink without having to venture heavily into the Dundas West bar scene where it's way more hectic. Probably fits like 20 people so it's nice and intimate. Kind of reminds me of some of the bottle shops in Montreal where you can either drink it there and vibe or take it to the park right next to it. Place has some character to it. Would like to see it have a good solid run in Toronto's independent bar scene and be supported by the neighborhood. Next time I'm back I'll try out the cocktail menu and see if that's fire too. Can selection was interesting. I got a fruit punch vodka seltzer with 2 grams of sugar which was good. LBGTQ+ friendly but open to anybody really. Still has that cool Dundas West OG grunge premium dive bar feel all the hipsters like me enjoy. Keep up the great work Tommy!

The menu is simple, with offerings like "steak", "fish & veg" or "cheeseburger". They also have a good drink list - $9 house wines by the glass, cocktails, beers, as well as some non-alcoholic options. Inside they have seating at the bar or in the dining room, as well as a patio during the warmer months. The washroom is downstairs which is not accessible to all. The restaurant is walk-ins only, no reservations, where they open at 4:30pm. I stopped by Dotty's on a Wed evening right after they opened around 4:30pm for a snack as I had an event to go to around the area. Upon entering, I sat at the bar and was given menus. Service was friendly and I was given time to study the menu. The vibes of the place are casual and it's a space where you can come time and time again to try different things. Since I wanted something on the lighter side, these are the following items I ordered: - Small size caesar salad - $13 - Hamachi crudo (menu stated tuna but staff mentioned it would be hamachi today) - $25 - DGB (Dotty's Ginger Beer - pineapple, lemon, ginger, maple, soda) - $9 The DGB tasted great! This non-alcoholic option was made by the bartender and had a strong kick of ginger which I loved. It was spicy and not too sweet, the perfect drink if you want something zingy and spicy. The caesar salad was classic. The staff offered to give me a smaller portion as the actual size is larger. Romaine lettuce tossed in caesar dressing with crunchy croutons and heaps of parmesan cheese on top with a lemon wedge on the side. It was light and fresh and the dressing wasn't too heavy or overpowering. The crudo tasted great as well! There was some creamy sauce on the bottom which was paired with radish and jalapenos on top, giving the fish crudo crunch as well as some kick to it. Overall, a solid choice in the Junction Triangle for some classic food. Expect to be surprised by the dishes - the dishes on the menu may seem simple, but the flavours and execution of the food is done well. Would love to return back to Dotty's in the future to try other items on the menu!
