We had the California Eggs Benedict - very generous portions, 3 good sized eggs, the yolk was runny, and the sauce was liberally applied. The price was $11.95, which in these post-pandemic pricing days, is extremely good, compared to other similar places. I definitely recommend. So, I was biking aimlessly looking for an open restaurant on Labour Day Monday. When I came across a little diner at Gladstone and Dundas. The name of this restaurant is Egg Sunrise Grill, and it's a small little mom and pop shop that had the most fantastic serving staff a quite an eclectic menu. I had their skillet breakfast, which consisted of bacon, sauteed onion, green pepper, mushrooms, and chedder cheese topped with 3 eggs on a bed of homefries with side of hollandise sauce. I'm not sure about the spices they were using, but I barely needed any pepper. The staff was courteous and polite, and I don't think I needed to ask once to refill my coffee it's just constantly being filled. I can't wait to go back and try something new on their menu. Julie, our server, presented waters and took coffee orders pretty much right away. They were small, 8 Oz cups but you get an infinite amount of free refills, which is definitely a plus. I ordered the gorgeous green omelette, green peppers, spinach and Swiss cheese... Thick, cheesy. My mouth falls in love with this egg omelette that tasted like pizza. Instead of home fries I ordered fresh fruit. The fruit was ripe: grapes, strawberries, oranges, canteloupe and honey dew marry in my mouth. A rarity at breakfast places but Sunrise Grill pulls it off. My boyfriend got a whopping 3 eggs Bene with 2 large pieces of pemeal bacon on 3 English muffins, smothered in hollandaise sauce next to a healthy portion of delicious home fries. All for $9.75. This place is great. Gave me everything I needed as a guest from out of town, who was looking towards noon, and still hadn't had coffee. THE STAFF. That's where is happened for me. Susy and the cook brought friendliness and urgency to their work. When I asked about power for my laptop, and being in an out of the way corner to work, there was serious consideration, problem solving and satisfaction for me. Really Kind. Thanxs Susy. What a fool I was, ignoring this perfect little diner for all of these years. I strolled up here at 9am one Saturday morning with two kids under three and another mom friend. We were naturally a bit nervous our breakfast wasn't going to be relaxing, but we were wrong! They let us order for the kids first, one of the staff even held one of the babes for a few minutes while we got settled. Wow. My over-easy eggs were cooked perfectly, and two decent sized breakfasts, tax and tip came to $16. That's a steal in this hood. I don't usually mention the service, but this place is one of a kind. I came with a group of 6 and it was just starting to get busy. As soon as we're greeted and seated, we are offered both water and coffee (along with other beverages). The servers came by quite often to refill our coffee without us having to wave them over, and they made sure all our needs were well taken care of. Unlimited coffee x stellar food and portions x friendly staff x complementary lollipops = if i could give this place 10 stars i definitely would. Each of us tipped more than 25% happily. We were jet lagged and needed to have breakfast very early. Bakeries were still closed and we found Egg Sunrise Grill. Service was excellent and the food as well. We ordered grilled chese (kids), Super 9 and the Farm eggs with bacon. So so so good! Everything came with home fries and while it's also delicious, the servings were huge (for us). I waited almost an hour to receive a clubhouse sandwich. I saw other people receiving their food who arrived after me. The atmosphere seems frantic and uncomfortable. An hour for a sandwich is unacceptable. When i did receive it, it was terrible. Over toasted bread, over cooked bacon and chicken. The waitress never even came over to see how my meal was. The menu was quite extensive for a small place and the place was really busy , food was flying out, quickly and the waitress was handling like a Pro. This is the closest we've discovered so far compared to others we've tried since Era such as Boom, Petes Corner, Lunch Box and Eggsmart etc.. Coffee at Egg Sunrise Grill also tastes better than all the above mentioned too. Price is only $1.65 with refills and $6.75 for eggs and bacon. Blonde European waitress doesn't smile but gets the food to the table fast and efficient. I'm pleasantly surprised to find this place - tired of looking and don't want to pay an arm and a leg. They give you loads of Bacon and/or good Sausages with real fresh cut potatoes and thick fresh rye bread toast. read more

This place is just a close to my house. The staff are extremely friendly and accommadating. I love their pancakes, perfectly cooked, nice and golden brown. Just like how i cook them at home. I hate restaurants that burned their pancakes. It is not good for your health and taste bitter. I always grab their pancakes in the morning if i am too busy to cook some. read more
