Having been to OEB's other location at Liberty Village (and had a great experience there), I was glad to finally make it to this newer location as well. Everything was on par with my first OEB visit experience - great food, great service, nice and bright interior. They pride themselves for using free-run / free-range eggs that are contain omega-3. One of the card menus on the table shows that they also sell eggs in packs of 30, among other things (including their signature red mug that actually looks pretty nice). The restaurant is always very busy on weekends, sometimes with lineups. It can take a while to get your order in and for the food to arrive, but the servers are all attentive and they make everything fresh to order. The kitchen is an open-style kitchen at the back. The Big Ahi Tuna Burger wasn't too big but a good-sized individual portion. The pepper-crusted tuna was perfect with the guacamole and fennel slaw. They were able to customize my order by ommitting the chipotle aioli and and smoked salt. I substituted the fries with side salad, and I was hoping for arugula, but it was just lettuce with a vinaigrette dressing that I wasn't too fond of. But overall the Ahi Tuna itself was 5 out of 5. Scrambled Crêpe had more filling and flavour compared to the Lobster & Shrimp Crêpe that I had years ago. It was packed with free-run eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, peppers, spinach, and roasted vegetable Ajvar (smoky red pepper and eggplant spread or relish that originates from the Balkans). The Ajvar really added extra flavour; the smoky red pepper & eggplant spread had a strong taste profile. We asked for the hollandaise sauce on the side, as I'm not a fan of hollandaise sauce. I liked that it the crêpe was topped with a bit of microgreens. Shakshouka was also excellent - full of chunky stewed plum tomatoes and chickpeas. We were able to choose how we wanted our eggs to cook: soft, medium, or hard-poached. We opted for medium, and they were perfect with just the right amount of runny yolk inside. The tomatoes and chickpeas mixture was seasoned with Za'atar, peppers, lemon, jalapeños, and fresh herbs. Our server was very attentive - he came by our table to ask how everything was and if we needed anything a few times during the meal, and he always came at the right times. Despite the restaurant being very packed and things moving at a fast pace during weekend brunch hours, it was never too difficult to get a server's attention or to request something mid-meal. OEB provides consistently excellent service across both locations in the city, based on my experience.
Wanted to try a breakfast place before my flight and this place was pretty good. I got the eggs Benedict and I really liked the sauce on top. The potatoes were also cooked well where is was crisp on the outside and pillowy on the inside. Tbh I'm not sure which meat I chose with it since i thought I asked for the bacon with it but it tasted like ham to me. Either way I still liked it!
One of our first meals in the city and one of my first experiences with poutine and was not one of the best. I liked the interior which is brightly lit and full of energy. Service is on and off, it took 10 minutes to get seated despite having joined the waitlist ahead of time and getting the text that it's ready to go. Once seated, it was great with our server giving detailed recs, and getting in refills on my coffee. But then our server changed halfway through, and we were left hanging when we needed a water refill and the check. I had the duck confit poutine, which again was not very good, it was heavy on the potato and the sauce was not very flavorful. The duck was also dry. Also had the benedict, which was not bad, though I didn't think it was anything special in my book.
Went for breakfast on a weekday. Busy but got a table right away. We had the berry crepe and Mexican skillet ( don't remember exact name) Food was good. Skillet was a bit too salty. Smoothie was very good. Service was great until the end when our server disappeared.
For a busy weekend (mother's day) the wait time wasn't as long as expected. Staff was lovely and the food was good even tho it wasn't what i ordered (it was loud so don't think the server hear me correctly). They have a flight of ciders so that was a nice surprise. There's multiple locations as well.
The food here was decent- I would say no different than typical diner food, but with a broader menu. Our food also came out very quickly, which was a plus. However, we never saw our waitress again after taking our order, which made it hard for us to ask for water or pay the bill (which took 15 minutes). Once we flagged someone down it worked out, but I think we were forgotten for a time there.
The food was good but not phenomenal- the biscuit was more of a muffin and the gluten free waffle could have been cooked longer. My friend had the breakfast tacos which she found to be well balanced with the avocado and pickled onions. Service was slow and overall the acoustics of the restaurant were loud so hard to here my friend
Really enjoyed our experience at OEB for brunch today! At first I was super stressed by the fact that there are no weekend reservations. I was constantly checking wait times on both yelp and google, as well as going back and forth between this place and another that did offer reservations. However, the yelp waitlist system worked in our favour and our table was ready upon arrival! Food is very tasty and beautifully plated. Tons of options, almost overwhelming! But something for everyone. The service wasn't exactly with a smile-- I get it, you're busy, it's a lot. No one came to check on us and see how the food was, but luckily we didn't really need anything (except pepper, but we moved on haha).
Great brunch spot in the downtown area! We arrived shortly after 1pm. It was already packed. It was about a half hour wait for Sunday brunch. So we walked around St Lawrence Market to kill time. When our table was finally ready, we ordered the matcha latte, breakfast poutine and fried chicken and waffles. These were all so good! Would definitely come back again.
Rough morning, zero sleep, no breakfast, running late -- I needed comfort food and fast (technically it was lunch, but who's counting?). A quick Yelp check pointed me to this spot a brisk eight-minute walk from Queen Station on Yonge, and I'm so glad I made the detour instead of heading to one of my usual haunts. I was seated immediately. The place has lots of seating -- high tops, tables and booths -- and a cool, eclectic vibe: comfy chairs, interesting wall photos, eggshell light fixtures and cheerful yolk‑yellow and orange tones. Big glass windows make it a fun people‑watching spot, and the open kitchen lets you see the cooks hustling away. I ordered the classic breakfast (just over $18): two scrambled eggs -- soft and perfect -- plus herb potatoes fried in beef tallow (I swapped those for lightly dressed artisan greens). You choose your protein -- bacon, Canadian bacon, rosemary ham, chicken, or pork bangers -- and I went with the hardwood‑smoked bacon: three perfectly cooked slices. Coffee was ethically sourced, and my mochaccino hit the sweet spot -- not too sugary. All in all 10 out of 10. I plan to try their gluten free waffle next time. Extras worth noting: they offer booze, smoothies, juices, and a $4.75 "coffee bump" (1 oz of Irish cream, Kahlúa, whiskey, bourbon, brandy, or Grand Marnier). Eggs are free‑run. Service was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable -- got me in and out without feeling rushed, back at my desk before 1 pm. I'll definitely be back -- next time with friends so I have an excuse to order everything on the menu. Highly recommend for anyone who needs a well‑made, comforting breakfast-anytime (and possibly a legal excuse for a midday coffee bump).
Visiting from California and found this breakfast spot. Parking situation luckily had a small lot because street parking was limited. Restaurant was pretty large, well lit, very clean. Staff sat us immediately, was friendly and got food out timely. Food tasted good, had never tried blueberry sausage and those potatoes are a must! The pancakes and syrup were also very good ! Portions were bigger as I had potatoes and pancakes left over. My husband said the omelette he got was too greasy unfortunately but everything else was good.
Reliable brunch! Quiet spot for a weekday Benny. Large menu with lots of option -- fast service. No complaints! Definitely get some hot sauce if you like it hawt
This might have been one of the best breakfasts ever. We shared a confit de canard, subbing out the Asiago for cheese curds. Delish!!!! Our son got the traditional breakfast. The menu had so many amazing choices,'it was hard to choose. We saw pancakes walking by and they looked fabulous too. Can't wait to come back!!!

On arrival, even though later in the morning, there was still a few people waiting to be seated. We had to wait about 20mins to be seated which wasn't bad. On the day we visited, the restaurant was offering free hot chocolates with writing a message on a post it note. That was a nice touch. Korean Bulgogi Benny: Eggs and meat was good, however, the sauce that is served with this was not enjoyable. It was sweet and not tasty nor was it a good fit for the dish. Montreal Smoked Meat sandwich: The meat serving was good and the fries were over seasoned. The bread was dry and falling apart. Baked Apple Griddle Stack: The pancakes were nice and fluffy with a little crispness which was nice. The apple topping was really sweet. This took away from the enjoyment of the meal. Deep Fried Pierogies: These were good and enjoyable. Overall it was just OK. I don't know if I would go and line up for this food again. If you just want brunch, then this place is adequate. Maybe the other choices they offer is what is bringing the people in. read more
OEB Breakfast is a Canadian breakfast chain serving up a variety of breakfast and lunch classics (as well as some dishes with a twist). This particular location is the 2nd location of the chain in Toronto. Located near Adelaide and Toronto St., the eatery is open early at 7-8am for all your breakfast needs. The menu is divided into classics, handhelds, bennies, poutine, as well as special unique items (like the Canadian lobster and shrimp crepe, pierogies & duck, as well as the gnocchi breakfast carbonara). My partner and I stopped by OEB Breakfast on a Wed morning around 10am. The restaurant wasn't full but there were a few tables already enjoying their food. We were seated promptly and given menus. Service was friendly and we never felt rushed as we had trouble deciding what to order. We ordered the following: - Classic breakfast (two free-run eggs any style with herb potatoes fried in beef tallow, artisan toast) - for the protein my partner got the maple pork bangers. - French toast trifle (brioche, lemon curd, fresh berries, pistachios, torches pavalovas) - Decaf drip coffee - Side of hardwood smoked bacon I had the French toast trifle which included 2 pieces of the brioche. I added a side of smoked bacon for that sweet and salty/savoury combo which was perfect. I enjoyed the french toast as the lemon curd and berries made the dish quite refreshing. My partner enjoyed his classic breakfast - can't go wrong with a simple dish of eggs, bangers, and toast. Overall, a decent breakfast spot in the downtown area that is open relatively early for all your breakfast needs! read more

This is a trendy little place that's boozy brunch options make it fun! The menu is full of fun options including "gold dust". It was a busy morning but we were seated fairly quickly and the food looked and tasted delicious. Definitely a fun breakfast place. Try it! read more
My sister and I were in Toronto for Canada Day so it was quite busy and crowded - and the Jay's were playing. We were looking for a place to get brunch nearby and we popped into OEB. Yelp was able to get me get a quick reservation. The staff was really friendly, and it was like a party in the restaurant! So many people really loving on brunch. We ordered their mushroom toast (it was more pedestrian than truly savory and yummy) and their french toast. My sister loved it more that me, but she's easier to please. I did enjoy their coffee and green juice, and overall was glad we got in somewhere for brunch. I liked how bright and airy the restaurant was and it was an open kitchen so you could see inside. It's not my favorite breakfast spot but not a bad option. read more

My friends and I came in with a reservation (it was TSwift weekend so we prioritized brunch with resy options) and were seated right away. The whole restaurant was filled with TSwift fans and they even had a cute TSwift themed menu. Service here was great and we loved all of the food we got. We got the soul in a bowl to share. I really liked the bacon lards in the bowl. I ordered the Croque Madame and the truffle flavor was subtle but there. My friends enjoyed the pierogis, scrambled crepe, and the not so boring French toast (I think this was the most "basic" of all our dishes). The menu here is so wide and varied, there's something for everyone for sure. Would definitely recommend for the area! read more

Tried out OEB for the first time today. Sunday Brunch time is very busy and you'll probably wait 30-45 minutes during peak times. I would have rated 3.5 if I could. The positives - - great location Downtown Toronto. Easy to get to driving it by TTC (close to King/Yonge) - food quality is great. - the poached eggs were wonderful!! - staff are friendly and on weekends it's easy to get on their Waitlist through Yelp ( you can reserve during the week). The not-so-positives - - we waited 40 minutes for our food after putting our order in. For breakfast offerings that felt really off. And tables that came in after us got their food before us. (Note - once they realized we had been sitting so long - they really started hustling). - there were mistakes in 2 out of 3 orders. - sadly they did not have rye, sourdough or brioche bread to have with the classic breakfast. So my friend got the bagel. Was kind of odd though. Not the consistency of any bagel I have ever seen. Was more like a bread roll shaped like a bagel) I loved the Gold Digga. My friend was not wowed by the Crab Benedict. She was expecting more like a crab cake. The classic breakfast looked good. Probably will try again at a less busy time. The food did taste good. read more

If you are looking for the perfect brunch spot, look no further! OEB Breakfast is a must visit if you're in the area. They offer a wide range of brunch items that honestly exceeded my expectations. I started off with mimosa flight because it's brunch! For my meal I went with the Holy Crab Bennie that was served on a butter croissant with brown butter hollandaise and herb potatoes fried in beef tallow. Listen they know what they're doing at OEB Breakfast!! If you're looking for friendly service and great food, do yourself a favor and stop by one of their many locations. I promise you won't be disappointed! read more

This is a wonderful breakfast place. I've been to a different location twice. This is my first time in their downtown Toronto location. I've always loved the service as well as the famous poutine dishes out of this place. The word poutine is misleading because this is basically potatoes used as a base but with really wonderfully mix of different ingredients like the one you see here so refreshing so good. read more

Went in to try the new menu!! Not too long of a wait once I got on the list. Got on the list around 11:37am (Saturday of long weekend). Got a patio seat for 4 by about 12:25. Pretty good! We had to wait about an hour for food which seemed like a long time but I guess they were steady busy. I ordered the Wake'n Bacon dish off the griddle menu. OMG perfection!! If you like bread pudding & bacon/lardons, who will LOVE this dish. Salted caramel bread pudding, maple glazed bacon lardons, sliced almonds, strawberries, fresh herbs. Just the right amount of bread pudding so that you don't feel like you're eating too heavy!! My friend liked her falafel burger although it was a coming apart or had a lot of soggy topping on it so she ate with a knife/fork instead of as hand held. Still tasty though. The friend who ordered the french toast trifle also loved it and noted it was the best french toast she's had (hers did need to get sent back & re-done because she had asked for no pistachios due to allergy). Got rectified fast. Lastly, my other friend had the Not So Boring Brioche french toast and also have that a thumbs up! Love the new menu options! Highly recommend to check it out! Great patio with some spots in the shade. Don't mind the bees! read more
First time visiting this canadian chain from the west. We had a wonderfully friendly server who was able to have a dialogue about the farm fresh eggs and the chain's philosophy and focus of farm to table and sourcing Canadian as much as possible (my add, as do we have Canadian coffee?). We went at lunch time on a Monday and it was quiet (our preference). This location is fairly new and it's very clean and has a very "fresh" vibe. We enjoyed the food, clearly fresh and made with care. read more

Disappointed with OEB Breakfast. They ran out of pineapple juice. So I ordered a sweet tea, which was good. I also ordered Threesome - 2 free run eggs scrambled, blueberry chicken bangers, pancakes and a side of whipped cream. The eggs were good. The blueberry chicken bangers were ok. Perhaps a personal preference as it left an after taste with each bite. The pancakes were a disappointment as they were overcooked at the bottom. My knife wasn't able to slice through them. Oh well, you win some and you lose some. read more
New location located steps away from king station! I went on a weekday, therefore it wasn't hard to grab a seat. The establishment was clean and roomy, but the service was relatively slow. I really enjoyed the vibe here. Very clean and open design and the staff were really friendly and helpful. I got the crab breakfast poutine because I was in Canada and you get poutine in Canada. Lovely brunch spot! Great ambience and food presentations! Service was good, our dishes came pretty quick as well. Food was fresh and delicious!
