This place is busy!! And for good reason! Definitely make reservations!! We came on a weekday around 11:40-noon and was slightly late for our reso. Luckily they were still able to accomodate us three after a five min wait. The decor inside is quite interesting. White walls with white plates but once in a while there is a croissant or waffle stuck to the wall! Their food menu is quite extensive (double sided) with a separate menu for drinks/coffees. Unfortunately we were told that day we visited, they do not have the Protos Optimus bfast and shashuka. I ended up getting the fried chicken Benny (with egg muffin base). You can get egg muffin or toast base included or waffle or croissant base for an extra charge. The poached eggs on the Benny can be served soft, medium, or hard. I like how I get options hah! My friends got the Kafta scotch egg and falafel croissant. All three of our dishes came with home fries and salad and beautiful plating presentation. The salad dressing was not anything to write home about and did not really have too much flavour. The potatoes were seasoned well. My fried chicken was juicy inside and crunchy on the outside. What we got: Kafta Scotch Eggs Crispy Chicken Benedict Biscoff Lotus Pancake Service is good. Can be a little slow at times because of busy it is but as soon as you wave them down, they're friendly and attentive. The kafta scotch eggs were tasty but a bit dry good thing there was the house hot sauce because saved it and made it even tastier! This was my first time coming to Eggstatic and I loved it! I came with a party of 2 on a Tuesday morning and they were full. Thankfully I only had to wait for 10 minutes. I tried coming here on a Saturday and the wait was an hour long. Reservations are recommended. We got the halloumi toast, lotus biscoff pancakes and the spicy nashville benedict and all were so amazing! The halloumi toast was one of the best things I've ever had. The pancakes were very dense but not overly sweet. Servers were very kind and attentive. This was our first visit and my hubby and I were looking forward to our brunch date. The restaurant offers patio and inside dining. Passport vaccine is no longer required. We ordered two dishes (Cilbur with spicy potatoes and Shashuka) and they were both really good. The pita bread has a sauce drizzle made from melted butter and spices that tasted amazing!!! Let's break it down. If I were only rating the food I'd give it a 5. But the service was a bit lacking and we'll get to that. To start the food was great. Every component of the dishes were fantastic. The hollandaise on the eggs Benedict was delicious, the potatoes were covered in a herb oil which was also great. We reserved about a month in advance because tables were hard to come by. The online booking system didn't give an option of outdoor vs indoor seating. As it was my first time there, I just assumed it was booked for indoor. The day before my reservation I got an email informing me that it would be outdoor seating. I wasn't too happy about that as it was still cold outside but since I waited a month for the reservation I decided to go ahead. When we got to the restaurant, although we had a reservation we waited around 5 to 10 minutes to take a seat. There are heaters but it's open doors so you do feel the cold. The minced meat was savory and distributed generously over the bread. Don't forget to add a squeeze or two of the lemon slice provided to elevate the dish even more. Had to sample a portion of the intriguing sounding Kinder lava cake, which is absolutely doused in milk chocolate of the Kinder brand, finished off with a bar of Kinder Bueno as a topping. The buttered bread was toasted perfectly; the saltiness of the halloumi was balanced perfectly with the sweet pops of pomegranate. The dishes were exploding with flavour - savoury and tangy (depending on what you order). The portions are also huge. I couldn't even finish my falafel salad! The patio is nice but I would dine inside next time (if/when possible) because I spent half my meal out of my seat trying to avoid the bees coming after my food. I guess they also thought the food was good! I couldn't recommend this place enough and I will definitely be back again once it's possible. Eggstatic has become one of my favorite brunch places! Their food is full of flavor and the service is great. Reservations are needed for weekends. I actually booked our reservation a week before, however when I got to the restaurant, for some reason my name wasn't on the list even though I confirmed through email the day before. When I showed the hostess the email confirmation, she immediately apologized and gave us the next table that was available. Luckily a table was clearing up and we didn't end up waiting too long. We sat outside on the patio and there were a bunch of bees around the table. Our waitress then brought burning espresso beans so that the smoke would deter the bees. After that, there were no more bees around and we could enjoy our meal! I also felt super safe eating at this restaurant, as they sanitized the tables and chairs with disinfectant, and provided water bottles instead of tap water, at no extra charge. For food, we ordered the scotch eggs and the breakfast skillet. The scotch eggs were really delicious and super crispy. However the true highlight was the breakfast skillet. My first bite of the skillet really amazed me, but then they brought out Hollandaise sauce to pour on top and omg, the skillet became even more incredible! I've been seeing a lot about this place on instagram in the past few months, but I never got to check it out since I never go to that area. Recently, a friend invited me for brunch and said she wanted to try Eggstastic. I was super eggs-cited because it's been on my list for a while and I was glad that I was able to go. It was worth the long drive (over 45 minutes!). The only con for me is the paid street parking. I find that depending on the time of day you go, it's hard to find parking even if there's a lot, it's mostly full because of the amount of restaurants on that street. However, the restaurant experience was great. The staff were very friendly and professional. We received excellent customer service from Alisar! She was very helpful and even gave us some great recs for menu items. I also like that they are following the necessary guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment. I noticed tables being sanitized after every use and all staff were wearing masks. There is also a shield protective divider between tables which I liked. It made the experience more comfortable. Food wise - we ordered different items from the menu, including the crispy chicken, one of the omelet dish, croissants and finished off on a sweet note. I loved their crispy chicken and the kafta croissant. I don't eat beef much or try to avoid it completely, but I ended up with a kafta croissant by accident and tried it. I loved that the croissant was flaky and the presentation. The fries were also amazing and had a little kick of spice which added a nice flavour. I must say that the highlight for me though, was the biscoff lava cake! It is served hot with ice cream and the right amount of cookie butter spread. It simply melts in your mouth. read more

This place is known to be halal! I went on a weekday with a group of friends and it was so busy! It was very crowded and we had a limit to stay for an hour. The restaurant is quite small, there is also an heated outdoor area as well. The poutine was very delicious as well as the fried chicken. I personally prefer the savoury dishes over the sweet ones. OMG is this place good! Located in the cute Leaside neighbourhood is this halal brunch spot serving up some amazing fusion dishes. Everything on the menu looked amazing, but their speciality according to the server is the eggs benny. Usually I can never get the fried chicken dishes at brunch spots as it's not halal, so I was excited to try the crispy chicken eggs Benedict here. It did not disappoint. The service was prompt and courteous. The patio vibes were also amazing too. Loved the ambience of this place. The food took some time to be prepared, but everything was done nicely and tasted great too. I liked the seasoning of the chicken, the poached eggs were cooked perfectly, and the house fries were DELISH. They do take reservations on weekends and if you're trying to set up for weekends, make sure you call at least one month in advance since it's mostly fully booked on weekends. They serve up great middle eastern dishes along with their twist of Chef's twist of creative croissants dishes. Ask the servers what's not to be missed as there is a whole lot on the menu.
