    French toast

Food: Good. But Nothing can be substituted. And they serve both hash browns AND breakfast potatoes with your meal, taking up half the plate. The eggs Benedict serving is HUGE - 3 English muffin halves! And they have fresh squeezed OJ. Yum! Service: Our server was very friendly and helpful. They were good about clearing out plates. Ambiance: Seating is tight. There is a table right upon entering. Five of us to a table was almost not enough room for our plates. Overstock of beverages are stored right next to us under the shelf of utensils.

I was searching for a meal with 'figs' as an ingredient but I sknr think the menu had (they're pretty tasty). But our group of six had the place virtually to ourselves on the weekday we came. For about $10 to $13 average a plate for breakfast, you get a reasonable breakfast with coffee being an addition $2.00. This is a good spot at Queen and Parliament with wholesome views if if the scenery and a oasis from the lovely aromas from that street corner. So I had the English, which had grilled tomatoes, mushrooms and canned beans. So I guess the English was the beans? But some good frejdnly service, very patient as they had to wait for some extra folks to come, and a good family joint. The breakfast was ok, the typical fare, but really I would think you would come in for some good ambiance and an escape from the gentrification outside. So if you have twenty burning through your pocket, a crumpled newspaper and a hankering for some canned beans and some tasty potatoes, give them a try. I'll try a Benny next time -Zuk

    waffle and the lafkes breakfast

It was a very okay experience. I found a hair in my food before I started eating it so they remade the waffle. Overall the potato pancakes were a bit sweet to me but my boyfriend liked them. The waffle was a bit soft again just a personal preference I prefer crunchy waffles. The interior gave a cute diner vibe which I really liked. I tend to judge places based on whether I get a lemon with my water if I ask for it lemon: never got one

    Eggs Benedict

This place had nice serving sizes!!! It's not often you find a place that gives you three eggs instead of two for the eggs benedict! The eggs were cooked well, and I appreciated that they gave both hash and potatoes. I found the hollaindase sauce too sour for my liking though It's a pretty small restaurant so don't go with big groups. Pretty good service, but a waitress randomly took the ketchup off my table as she was walking by even though we weren't finished eating yet??? I was shocked tbh but maybe she did it on auto pilot

Wow, these reviews! Can't believe they're not at least a 4 on here. Where to begin on how excellent their eggs Benedict are... The spinach, feta, tomatoes trio in the Florentine style is delectable. The fresh juice is great too (a little expensive).

French toast, everything breakfast. WORTH EVERY PENNY

I've been living in Toronto for 3 years and this is hands down my favourite brunch place! It's a small place but I've always had friendly and fast service. The prices are great for the great quality of food. Delicious!!!!! During Covid their takeout has been seamless but I'm so happy to be back to dining in. A definite must try!

grilled veggie sandwich, greek yogurt with fruit add-on, veggie omelette with potatoes and hash, whole wheat toast
    Diana S.

Another fantastic late brunch experience at Figs! Our bill for two only came to $28 pre-tip. No wait at the door on a Sunday at 1:30PM, amazing. The Greek yogurt is great - it is unflavored and very authentically creamy and thick rather than runny, which sometimes is the case if too much sugar or other ingredients are added. The portion size was pretty large - we shared it between the 2 of us. The fruit add-on was a bit underwhelming - just a tiny cup of mostly melon fruits, but also one grape, a few pineapple slices, a grapefruit slice, and half a strawberry. The veggie omelette was thick, large, and very healthy - no cheese and lots of veggies! However it was really bland, but no big deal since you can always season it yourself with condiments and mustard, ketchup, etc. It comes with fried potato chunks, a potato hash, and 2 slices of toast (ask for whole wheat!). Note- the bread is buttered by default, so request for plain if you don't want butter. The grilled vegetarian sandwich was very large and pretty, but was very runny. It does not contain egg or cheese I believe, but comes on a baguette, so not vegan? Partner described it to taste like stir-fry. Will be back!

Service was great but the food was mediocre. Plates were sloppy and not very tasty. It is a quiet, small place.

Where you order and where you pick up your drink isn't designed to allow for a good flow for customers, aside from that, I have no complaints. I ordered a latte and grabbed two goodies for the road, a raspberry croissant and a ginger molasses cookie. The staff working were welcoming and friendly and my items were ready rather quickly. Once I got back to my hotel, I settled in to enjoy and get some work done. My latte was smooth and creamy and just what I needed to get my day started. My raspberry croissant was beautiful and packed full of flavor. The filling wasn't too sweet and there was just the right amount inside. I saved my cookie for a snack while I traveled home later that day. I love how it had chunks of sugared ginger on top. The cookie had the perfect amount of chew to it and the ginger on top added an extra burst of ginger. It was lovely. I'm so glad I found this cafe on Yelp and I highly suggest you pay them a visit. I'm still dreaming of all the pastries I didn't get to try.

This place looks like a fairly typical breakfast spot, offering a good amount of seating, large menus for both breakfast and Lunch, and of course, a ton of different pancake options! I'm usually not someone who orders temporary menu items or specials, but the second I saw the S'More Toffee Lava Pancakes I almost had a heart attack, so of course, I ordered the stupid pancakes to avoid such an problem. The food didn't take too long to come out, and they looked even better in person than they did in the menu. Maybe I'm just a little over enthusiastic about these pancakes, but I can pretty confidently say these may of been the best pancakes I've ever had. They were big, fluffy, and this plate did not skimp on the toppings at all. Overall, Stacked Pancake & Breakfast has definitely become a go-to spot for me when returning to Toronto. The food here was phenomenal and even though it took us almost 30 minutes for someone to give us a bill and let us pay, the pancakes were too good for me to get hung up on that. If you need some breakfast in the Queen/Spadina area, this is the place to go!
