    The Big Breakfast

Really good breakfast with reasonable prices. Friendly waitress and staff. I love the options of waffles in addition to pancakes. Generous portions as well.

Best deal. Eggs pancakes and turkey bacon. We also had a side of chopped mixed fruit which was good.

Over the years I've walked past this restaurant many times. But it wasn't breakfast time. Im glad it survived the past 18 months. It's a small box but maybe 20 or so inside tables place. Clean. Open kitchen run by one very busy guy. I liked my omelette and my daughter loved her pancakes. They also make burgers. I've been disappointed with Eggspectation and Cora. So I may go here again.

The spacious Eggsmart Franchise at the southeast corner of Bay & Elm serves delicious breakfast and brunch/lunch dishes. My friend had the Southwest Egg Skillet of sautéed green peppers, onions, black beans, corn, avocado, pico de gallo, drizzled with southwest sauce and garnished with cilantro with sourdough toast and home fries and while I had the Feta Spinach 4 Egg Omelette as pictured. Both were delicious. Coffee was bottomless and the service was friendly and attentive. Recommended!

    Yum!!!!! Just like the advertised

look how I received my eggs bene from here delivered by an Uber employee via a roll coaster and also missing the two coffees I ordered. could you image how you would feel when you're craving that nice hot coffee and warm eggs Benny. instead I received a mash of ice cold food and no coffees. and then uber just pleasantly thanked me for input via a BOT or virtual cookie cutter answer. would you pay $40 for ths???? no refund is even more insulting. I'm done with both the provider of food and delivery service. disillusioned at the least and disgusted to the most.

Breakfast came to our table in less than 5 minutes!

Super friendly, super fast service! Breakfast for two was sat in front of us less than 5 minutes after ordering. Would definitely make this a frequent stop on visits to Toronto.

Eggsmart Signature Hash and Eggs Florentine

We came here on New Years Day, and they were super busy. I ordered the signature hash and my friend got the eggs florentine. Our food was pretty good, the bacon was cooked perfectly--- not too crispy, not too soft. I liked that my dish had avocado and toast included in it, so I had the option of making my own avo-toast without paying $12 for just that. My friend said that his eggs florentine was really good, cooked perfectly. Our server was a super happy and perky Asian girl, she was so happy it made our days better too! :)

    A simple mans breakfast.

Eggsmart is the definition of a no-frills, basic, run of the mill breakfast spot with the nothing special to offer, and just the basics. I stopped into Eggsmart on Sunday morning thanks to being an early riser and not much else in the area really being open that I wanted. The place had a decent number of people in it but we were seated right away. The menu here is pretty standard and offers the usual breakfast platters, omelettes, and pancakes you could want. I ended up ordering a simple breakfast of scrambled eggs, wheat toast, hash browns, and I had a sausage link to go with it. The food was what it needed to be, it tasted like any run of the mill diner and did the trick. The food I ate was all good, just nothing to really discuss or write about. If you live in the Bay/Gerrard area this isn't a bad place to stop for a cheap breakfast, just don't expect to be wowed.

I've been here a couple of times over the past few years and it's safe to say that the quality and customer service is consistent. It's a typical breakfast if you don't feel like making one at home. Average taste with pretty big portions and free refills on tea. I had the fresh fruit french toast and my mum had a lighter version of the big breakfast (can't remember what it's exactly called..) As others have said, no wow factor but normal tasting food with good portions. It's like a diner but slightly elevated.

Was staying in the hotel for a medical appointment and ordered online during this pandemic from Eggsmart. Took the 4 minute walk from my room to pickup my turkey bacon, rye, home fries, & egg breaky along with their amazing coffee. The meal size was perfect for my small, hungry stomach. The service was absolutely quick and very friendly. The food was freshly made and stayed hot as I ate it in my hotel room. Eggs-ellent price with the 20% tip for my bomb diggity, show stopping eats. Highly recommend

Convenient, Reasonable, fast service and pleasant customer service Although I read a host of negative reviews for Eggsmart I deferred to try it out for myself. So after having reading the bad reviews and enjoying a very pleasant experience at Eggspectation I had no expectations for Eggsmart. We entered to a evenly populated restaurant and were greeted quickly by our server. To start off, we ordered two Hot Chocolates with whip cream. I had the three cheese omelet with wheat toast and french fries. Mom had the Mediterranean Omelet. I kid you not my food was on the table in less than 5 mins. The portions were huge. I had to extend my hands far from the plate to take the pics since the plates were so large. I could definitely tell the food was plastered in butter...sorry arteries, luckily I don't eat like this too often. But nonetheless I was satisfied. Eggsmart served it's purpose and I have no complaints about the establishment or service.

This is such a cute little "hole in the wall" for breakfast and brunch. It was just down the street from our hotel and well within walking distance (we were at the Double Tree Hilton). The menu is about average size for a brunch type place but still had good variety. I got the chorizo breakfast sandwich with potatoes. The potatoes were seasoned with something and was delicious! No need for ketchup or condiments. The sandwich and potatoes were both quite filling and I couldn't finish it all but I wanted to. The ladies working the restaurant were so nice and sweet and quick! Thumbs up!

    Meat Lover Scrambler

Headed out for brunch with Angela over the weekend. And to be honest, we didn't get to the restaurant till around 2pm... so not really brunch. But nonetheless, who doesn't love sleeping in and eating brunch when you're actually awake right? Though to the readers out there, when do you head out for weekend breakfast or brunch? I'm curious. Anywho, headed to Eggsmart that's located along Bay and Elm. Eggsmart's been here for a while and on the weekends even at 2pm appear to be still bringing peeps who finally decided to wake up and meet up for "brunch". =P. Nothing fancy with the decor, it's your typical diner that focuses on breakfast/brunch clientele. It's a long restaurant and we were seated near the back. Angela and I weren't really hungry but didn't wanna end up eating dinner late at night. The waitress serving us was fast and efficient and wasted no time. She was attentive throughout our whole meal and was quick to meet any of our needs, like a dropped fork. =P. Angela ordered the Blueberry pancakes with a side of sausages and I ordered the Meat Lovers Scrambler. The Meat Lovers Scrambler is essentially scrambled eggs with steak, chicken, bacon, cheese, onions and green pepper. The wait wasn't too bad at around 10-15 minutes. Once the food arrived Angela as usually buttered up her pancakes and poured over a fair amount of maple syrup. Gross I know right? Or sugary heaven, I haven't really made up my mind. The Meat Lovers Scrambler wasn't bad. Pretty much what I expected, though if I'm back next time, I'm going for the sausage scrambler. With the Meat Lovers, there wasn't a distinctive taste as it was lost in the wide variety of meats. Both Angela and I liked the home fries and they weren't your typical deep fried taters. It appeared to be the freshly cut, lightly seasoned and pan fried goodness that you can make at home. The pancakes weren't bad, but nothing special. But the side order of sausage, they were overcooked and kinda dry. Maybe it was getting near the end of breakfast. Not very good at all. Overall, Eggsmart isn't horrible. It's your typical diner type breakfast joint. Nothing really stood out and to me, this place is pretty much like Denny's. Don't hate, but I prefer IHOP over Denny's ANYDAY SON! So Eggsmart's isn't a horrible choice for the casual breakfast when you don't feel like cooking and it's close by. You can hop over in your sweat pants or PJ's and no one will get upset. I don't think I would head here as the sole focal point, but sometimes you just wanna eat in your sweatpants and hoodie and not be started at.

Especially liked the artwork and table with their name on it. I had the Nutella latte, Nutella and strawberry waffle, and a side of sausage. Didn't like the sausage at all (tasted a bit gamey) but that's probably because ein the states there are nitrates, etc that make it taste better. No biggie! She switched it out for bacon, and that was fine and appreciated. My sister had the breakfast tacos that looked delicious and she really enjoyed. All in all this was a great pick and I would return when im Canada ever again and I'm in the area. Keep up the great work, Pierina. Once I got back to my hotel, I settled in to enjoy and get some work done. My latte was smooth and creamy and just what I needed to get my day started. I saved my cookie for a snack while I traveled home later that day. I love how it had chunks of sugared ginger on top. A quick Yelp check pointed me to this spot a brisk eight-minute walk from Queen Station on Yonge, and I'm so glad I made the detour instead of heading to one of my usual haunts. I was seated immediately. The place has lots of seating -- high tops, tables and booths -- and a cool, eclectic vibe: comfy chairs, interesting wall photos, eggshell light fixtures and cheerful yolk‑yellow and orange tones. Big glass windows make it a fun people‑watching spot, and the open kitchen lets you see the cooks hustling away. I ordered the classic breakfast (just over $18): two scrambled eggs -- soft and perfect -- plus herb potatoes fried in beef tallow (I swapped those for lightly dressed artisan greens). You choose your protein -- bacon, Canadian bacon, rosemary ham, chicken, or pork bangers -- and I went with the hardwood‑smoked bacon: three perfectly cooked slices. Coffee was ethically sourced, and my mochaccino hit the sweet spot -- not too sugary. All in all 10 out of 10. I plan to try their gluten free waffle next time. Extras worth noting: they offer booze, smoothies, juices, and a $4.75 "coffee bump" (1 oz of Irish cream, Kahlúa, whiskey, bourbon, brandy, or Grand Marnier). Eggs are free‑run. Service was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable -- got me in and out without feeling rushed, back at my desk before 1 pm. I'll definitely be back -- next time with friends so I have an excuse to order everything on the menu. Highly recommend for anyone who needs a well‑made, comforting breakfast-anytime (and possibly a legal excuse for a midday coffee bump).
