However me and my partner had a craving for some breakfast food so decided to give this a shot. The short story is that this is a nice little breakfast place with solid food and great service. I ordered a classic breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, toast and home fries while my partner ordered the pancakes. My breakfast was solid. It wasn't anything mind blowing but everything tasted as it should and overall I really enjoyed it. My partner's pancakes were really good though. The portions were larger than I anticipated and they were so fluffy. This is definitely what I plan to order the next time I come here. Service was great as the server was friendly, the food came fairly quickly and the server checked up on us regularly. No complaints from me on this front. The restaurant is not overly large but has a decent amount of seating. It was bright and inviting as their window at the front of the shop is fairly large. There was seating along the window so we decided to sit there as the sun was beaming into the shop that day and it was great. All in all, this is a nice local breakfast spot that I would easily recommend as everything from the food, service and atmosphere was great. Give it a try. read more

Conveniently located at the corner of Woodbine and Danforth. There is plenty of on street parking out front and a large Green P just behind. Was warmly greeted by Christopher and was told to sit anywhere I desired. Was provided menu's and took our beverage order. The menu is quite the spread and reasonably priced! Settled on the Farmers (2 pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 proteins, home fries and tomato or fruit salad) When I was presented the food, the smell was amazing! The food was prepared to perfection and the pancakes... OMG... they were light, fluffy and oh so yummy. If you are a fan of the proper home fries (read: NOT fried) - you will be in heaven! Came here for brunch on the weekend. Recommended by a neighbor. Three of us came hungry. Been looking for a reasonably priced, fairly healthy, yummy place to chow down. Found it! This is now my go to favourite for all things breakfast. Even the coffee was good! Nothing drives me more crazy then a breakfast place with crap coffee. Luckily we arrived when it wasn't that busy. Got a table and our yummy coffees right away. The waitress was a hoot. Very entertaining. Hubby and I both ordered the eggs with beans, home fries and this amazing sour dough toast. Home fries had all of those crunchy bits, done to perfection. My overeasy eggs, also perfect and those beans...whoa, SO good. Had enough to bring home for lunch on Monday. Brick Farm Breakfast is a great Danforth gem. Just east of Woodbine with lots of street parking. This place is cozy and the decor is warm and welcoming. The staff were fantastic. The menu is plentiful. I had the farmer's breakfast, and my family enjoyed the cakes, peameal and egg sandwich and the classic eggs and bacon. The fruit cup is a perfect addition to all the meals. The food was great and the presentation was excellent. Prices are spot on. We enjoyed a great all around meal and outstanding atmosphere. Highly recommend. read more

Finally got to try this place out. Tried a couple of sandwiches, they did not disappoint. A great price for a tasty and a good portion of food! I'd love to come back to try their other breakfast options. You can also upgrade the breakfasts to a "meal" by adding fries and a side like a salad or fruit for a more filling lunch option. read more

Had a pretty good breakfast there. Decent home fries , sourdough toast, and a good well-stuffed omelette. I'm picky and the omelette could have been taken off the pan thirty seconds earlier but I truly enjoyed every bit. Service was excellent. My friend had pancakes and eggs and said both were done perfectly. Deducting one point for the coffee which I thought was a bit weak (but he did come by to fill it up three times so clearly it didn't dissuade me from drinking it). Either stringwrcoffee or some alternatives to drip would be nice. Street parking and proximity to subway excellent. Cost for my coffee and omelette was $19 including tax and I was full for six hours. Finally got around to going here and we are very glad we did. Charming well run breakfast restaurant, well priced, friendly staff. Almost worth it just for the outstanding homemade jams, jellies and sauces. (When we went, there were fresh pots of melon/basil, and vanilla/rosé on the table to sample) Definitely recommended. read more

Had brekky here with my husband and our little girl this morning... the whole fam gives this place a thumbs up! My daughter had the 3 mini pancakes with a side of sausage... and we were happy that this plate was a reasonable size. So many other places only offer massive pancakes and we end up wasting so much when we order them for her. But these pancakes were sweet, simple and tasty and came with a little fruit cup. And not a crappy-fruit fruit cup, but slices of grapefruit, orange and pineapple. Fresh and good! My hubs had the sausage and egg sandwich... he thought it was good, but nothing revolutionary. He said the sausage could have been a bit saltier, but overall he liked it. He added a side of house fries/potatoes with it too. I got a typical eggs & sausage breakfast: 3 eggs over-medium, sausage, house fries and I substituted the toast for a house-made tomato salad. The tomato salad was actually quite nice! Chopped cherry tomatoes seasoned with a little oil, herbs and green onion. The music in the place was subtle but a nice touch and right up our alley: old school hip hop. Friendly, helpful service too! It's not a huge place, so if it happens to be full when you come in, it looks like they're a pretty popular take-out spot. Lots of folks came in to pick up orders while we were there. Overall, we'll be back! read more

A real treat! There is more than the food to consider: cool/comfortable vibe, decor is tasteful and the space is very clean. Tori served us. She is bright, warm and fun! As one of the owners of this great little place, Tori is also a professional chef so you can count on quality ingredients and healthy, delicious creations. Coffee is quite good, too! Portions are more than ample - We left with full belly and extra to eat later. Be sure to 'ask nicely' to try Tori's home made hot sauce. It is flavourful but not too hot and is available for purchase. Also, don't be shy afraid to ask about the half-bearded man ;) Will definitely be back to try another of the tantalizing options offered here! read more

A great place to get a basic breakfast, but can take long and lineups are inevitable on weekend mornings. Nothing fancy, which can be great depending on what you're after. Waffles are pretty good and the hostess was super gracious and apologetic when we didn't get our extra helping of waffles we ordered. Come for the food, not for delight/surprise. read more

when i first walked in i was greeted by a wall of hanging shelves and plants "ah what a cute hipster breakfast place" - i thought, but upon closer examination the decor was inconsistent and had no general style or brand. of course, the food is much more important than the wall colour so i decided to stay. the waitress took about two minutes to get to us and give us the menu. the seating at this place is communal (picnic tables) so if you prefer having a table for just you this is not the place. when the waitress did arrive though, she was super nice and helped us with the menu. the options were bland and for the most part contained some sort of pork product so its not too, too vegetarian friendly. my mom chose the omelet that came with home fries, tomato salad and toast. i chose scrambled eggs with fried spinach and it also came with the same sides as my moms order. we also got water which had some strange taste i still cant place but i think is kind of sulfur-y or something of the like. we where very exited to get our food as we had just finished 2 hours of shopping. we then waited for our food, constantly having to get up as our table mates came and went. we looked around and chatted and got worried as the time passed. i timed my wait, and i turned out we had been waiting for half an hour. that is NOT good. i dont think i have ever been to a restaurant where i had to wait 30 mins for my food. i even saw people who had ordered after us get their food first. i dont know if it was a problem with time management or general slowness of the staff but it was looooong. they had also run out of orange juice. i think this is ridiculous because to me oj is the main breakfast drink that people would be expecting. when our food did come, i was once again disappointed. i had ordered scrambled eggs and received an omelet. the spinach was good but also dripping in oil. the house fries where probably the best part of the meal but they where not even fries. the where cut into tiny little cubes. the tomato salad was okay but not realy flavoured. we expected it to come on the plate but it was served in a tiny little mason gar, smaller than what jam comes in. there where maybe 6 cherry tomatoes in there. the food was very simple uninteresting stuff that was DEFINITELY not worth the 30 min wait. my mother also did not fully enjoy her food as it was bland. i think the worst part was that this food can be prepared in advance and for the most part does not take long to prepare. their are definitely better breakfast places that have more flavourfull food and does not take so long to make. read more

been here 3-4 times and overall the food is above average. nice hearty omelettes but leaning towards pricey. for the first time i noticed they give a 60+ senior's discount that made up for it. that said they only get 3 stars - a side order of 3 sausages was $6!!!!!!!!! that is insane even with a discount. never would have ordered it had i realized the price. *nota bene: on a return visit i read on the menu it is $6 for 5 sausages which is not a bad deal but it appears they shorted me 2 sausages the last visit. also irksome - you need to use a spoon to serve yourself pepper. salt too. sorry that is just taking the rustic farm nonsense too far. drinking water out of a mason jar and sitting on long benches is my limit. read more

Came here for breakfast on a Monday. Restaurant was as hot as a oven, when we asked if she had a.c. or a fan owner became extremely offended and gave us attitude. Food was mediocore at best, fruit tasted like it had been sitting on a counter for weeks and turned to mush. Better off getting McDonald's breakfast save your time and money! read more

Just had breakfast with my husband at the Brick Farm and it was excellent. Best rye toast ever. It came from Guelph. So did the sausages which were perfect. Hubby had the everything omelet. We will be going back. Only open on weekends. read more

When dealing with bad food and/or service I can usually not care and still leave a 20% tip, but this was one of the worst breakfasts I have ever had. No checking in, no refills, and a lot of dirty looks. If you order a western sandwich they will give you no indication that you have to request cheese, peppers, or the other toppings they offer and literally bring you egg with a tiny amount of sausage in it on bread. read more
