We have dined at a lot of Breakfast Restaurants in the Durham Ontario area and the best for quality, quantity, service and reasonable pricing is Scrambles in Ajax Ontario hands down. The cook puts together an amazing bacon and egg or sausage and egg breakfast. They have a great morning special for each dish. Also, our server, Shahana is always amazing. They are located at 527 Westney Road South, Ajax, Ontario, Canada.

This was my first time to this establishment. I really enjoyed my breakfast. The server was awesome. The food was fresh. It's a very unassuming establishment but once you go inside, you realize it's family run and food is prepared with love and care. Please bring your family support. This will run establishment. I had a good time and I can't wait to go back.

This place is a cute little diner. The food is pretty good, the people are nice. They have a standard breakfast type menu, with checkered table cloths. Their eggs benedict was pretty good. I liked the hollandaise sauce, many places make it tasting weird or too heavy. This place did it right. I would eat here again.

Very cheap and yet good quantity meals and good quality. And nice waitresses. And not too noisy or cold.

The staff are really nice. This looks like a small local breakfast stop And it's fairly small. You come in, seat yourself, and they will come by to greet you! All day breakfast (till they close anyway) and portions are very generous. There isn't anything really that stands out but it's a nice place to grab a hearty breakfast. I do wish they would serve something fresh with their combos cause it's a bit heavy and too savory.

Early one Sunday morning, my mother and I were looking for a breakfast spot when I found Scrambles. The reviews were fantastic, so we were in! It's in the corner of a plaza in an unlikely place for a restaurant; just when you think you've missed it, there it is. It was packed. Completely packed. There was no one waiting when we got there, but there was soon after we were seated. We found a small table in the corner and snagged it. We had just gotten settled when our server told us a bigger table by the window was free. Perfect! Brownie points already and we haven't eaten anything! It's a small place with a country feel; nothing fancy, but it doesn't need to be. The food speaks for itself. The prices are almost too reasonable. I don't think I've ever said that, but after eating there and having amazing service, you will also agree. I went with the Signature Pancakes with blueberries and my mom went with the special which is similar to the Spinach Delight but with ham and cheese. These pancakes were made with love. They were fluffy, moist and blue! I've never had pancakes quite like them. My mom's omelette was huge and they didn't hold back on the fried potatoes. It was literally bursting with toppings. The fried potatoes were to die for. If I wasn't so full of delicious pancakes, I would've stolen all of them! Scrambles feels like home. Food made with love and servers that make you feel comfortable instantly. This is the type of restaurant I love going to. Going out for breakfast? Go to Scrambles!

Having breakfast on the weekend at some local eatery is something I enjoy doing. On this particular Sunday was going to go to another breakfast place when I drove by this place. Decided to give it a shot. Decor 2/5 This place looks and feels like a diner. Many industrial buildings around, so I'm sure they get a good lunchtime crowd. It's simple and nothing fancy. I for one, hate a table or chair that is wobbly, unfortunately this place as many of those..kinda annoying. Food 2/5 I ordered the 3eggs with Garlic Sausage. Nothing special, couldn't taste the garlic in the sausage. My wife had the French toast, again very plain nothing special. I'm use to Maple Syrup, this place only at the Aunt Jemima kind..yuck.. that stuff will kill you. Anyways, this place is okay, probably won't return.

This is a serious hole in the wall, situated amongst a bunch of industrial units. Honestly, I wasn't even sure I wanted to dine here, as you really can't tell what the place is like from the outside. One peek in and I was sold as soon as I saw a large family dining here and the fun rooster decorations all over. The 6oz. steak & egg special was very decently portioned, and the side of home fries hit the spot. I had hoped the French toast with a side of farmer's sausage came with more meat, but to be fair - it was one regular-sized (and quite lean) sausage, instead of multiple teensy, fatty breakfast bangers. I certainly wouldn't mind fueling up here again before hitting up the waterfront. 3.5 stars.

Our first time here. The place was full, on a Friday morning at 10:30! Large portions and the quality of the food is good. Great value for your money!

Ask and you shall receive. Healthy version of the steak and egg breakfast :)

A great, unassuming neighbourhood find! Don't expect much from the decor - but the food is fresh, served up with great service and pretty decent coffee. It surprises me how many restaurants decline altering their dishes to make it a bit more healthy. My lovely server this morning didn't even bat an eyelash and changed up the potatoes and toast for a side serving of veggies instead. They also added an extra egg without having been asked. If you're in Ajax/Durham area, don't go to Cora's overpriced breakfast factory, come here instead.

I ordered the Wake Up Call $16.95 4 eggs, 3 strips of bacon, 3 breakfast sausages, 2 slices of ham, and pancakes. Please note the server asked me if I wanted chocolate chip or blueberry pancakes. I chose blueberry and was charged an additional $2.50. It would be nice if the server told me the upcharge for the blueberry pancakes. My wife who was celebrating her birthday got the Rooster benedict which came avocado and bacon. The poached eggs were cooked perfectly soft and Hollandaise sauce was on point. Their coffee is really good and bottomless. We had like 3 cups of coffee. Overall we enjoyed the breakfast and the service here is friendly. The dining area is your typical grease spoon type of diner. I recommend coming here for your brunch fix. They also have a lunch menu with some burgers, sandwiches, wraps, poutines, fish n chips and chicken n waffles.

He ordered the fried chicken with French toast, and I had the fried chicken with pancakes--both were absolutely amazing. The syrup was so delicious, and the tater tots were perfect: super crispy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside. When we sat down we were immediately a bit turned off because there seemed to be a fruit fly infestation. I'm not saying 1 or 2, I'm saying like dozens on the wall behind us. We probably should have just left but we are too shy. We ordered a fried chicken Benny & fried chicken/french toast. Portions were huge. The fried chicken was well done. The French toast was okay. The taters and home fries were decent. One thing I noticed is that they use a ton of store bought components. For example I know they have banana bread French toast on their menu and I saw store bought "our fresh market" brand boxes of banana bread. I saw bags of grocery store toast. The tater tots were likely from frozen. I guess I'm just used to going to brunch spots and more being made in house - or even sourced from a bakery. The service was friendly. The prices were similar to downtown Toronto - $30 pp without any beverages, before tip.
