Felt very homey inside. Went here after camping it was a nice breakfast spot. They seemed to be very clientele based which was nice to see. Food was good and shareable.

Another great brunch at Blue Rooster!! We love their pancakes. My son's Big Rooster Breakfast was enormous, he actually couldn't finish it so took the rest home for another meal. As usual Yvonne was cheery and helpful. She suggested buttering both sides of the pancakes. Yup she was right sooo yummy

Came here on a Sunday morning around 10am after seeing a line up outside Angelique (too hungry and impatient to wait). Ordered 2 breakfasts to share with hubby and our daughter...and still had difficulty finishing everything! Big portions, delicious and prompt service. Will definitely return again!

Our regular spot was closed, so we stopped into The Blue Rooster for the first time in over 20 years living in Ajax. It was a holiday Monday, but we only had to wait 10 mins for a table of 6 plus one toddler. Service was very slow, they might have been understaffed on a holiday. But they were very polite and apologetic. Huge portions, HUGE. And they have some of the best breakfast sausage, everyone agreed!

I normally have weekend brunch at Angeliques or Scrambles but decided to try Blue Rooster since it has high ratings. Similar to the other restaurants, there was a bit of a wait when we arrived (11:30am) but was seated at the bar fairly quickly. Food 3.5/5 I ordered the smoked salmon eggs benedict while my s/o got the three eggs with sausage and bacon. The side shredded potatoes were delicious and overloaded onto the plate. They weren't served hot but would've even tasted better if it was. The eggs were cooked to my liking (medium) and were very fresh. The english muffin was perfectly toasted (crispy on the outside) and soft on the middle which was the perfect compliment to the rest of the dishes. Service 3.5/5 Our waitress was friendly and consistently made conversation with us. She was very attentive, always had a smile on her face and would check in routinely. I can't quite say the same about the other waitresses as they were busy with the other tables and the other seemed disinterested. Blue Rooster is a great place to have brunch and I'm looking forward to coming back to try other items on the menu.

We usually commute from North York to this nice brunch place. I took my brother and his girl here before and they asked to come back again. So we arranged today, I usually order the Egg Benny with smoked salmon $12.75 and add avocado ($1.95) They give you three egg benny and the home fries are nicely done. You can specify how you would like your eggs cooked. The service is very friendly and they will keep asking you if you need refills.

Great little place for the best breakfasts! The staff are friendly and make you feel like family. Food is fresh and delicious and serving sizes are gigantic. Prices are good too. Definitely busy on weekends but if you're willing to wait, it's worth it. We avoided the Sunday church crowd so it wasn't too bad. Definitely coming back to try the plethora of items on the menu.

Weekday breakfast special is 2 eggs with bacon homefries and toast. I opted out of the toast so they added some fruit.

Great food and great service. Be prepared to wait a bit on the weekends as it is a popular place but definitely worth the wait!

We ordered eggs benedict with by far the best Hollandaise sauce you can get. The poached eggs were medium with lots of yolk to spread on the peameal bacon and english muffin. The shredded potato hashbrown is addictive and massive portions. The baked beans were nice and warm to compliment your breakfast. I ordered the 3 eggs over easy with 3 sausages and 3 bacon. They actually serve 4 eggs which I assume they are using medium sized eggs. That's OK as the extra makes up for the smaller eggs. You get a choice of toast ( white, whole wheat or rye) along with shredded potato hashbrowns or home fries. My mother-in-law ordered the Western Omelet with ham and onion. She really enjoyed the dish and she managed to eat almost half of the dish. The coffee is bottomless and the service is very friendly. I suggest dressing up for the cold weather because you might have to lineup outside the restaurant. I don't think they take reservations and it's first come first serve.

With a closing time of 4:00pm, their menu features (all day) breakfast items, sandwiches, burgers, pasta, and a few entrees. There's a little bit of everything. In addition to traditional and classic Canadian fare, there's Mexican, Italian, Greek, Asian, South Asian, Cajun, and more. I think they got most bases covered. I ordered the Eggs Jenny, a variation of Eggs Benedict - two poached eggs on house made crab cakes with hollandaise sauce and home fries. The crab cakes, made with real crab (not surimi), were good but maybe not outstanding. The eggs were perfectly poached to my liking. The home fries were also good. The execution of this dish was very good but the hollandaise sauce was disappointing. It was thick, lumpy, and bland. I tried not to eat it. The restaurant was clean and the service was very good. The rest of the menu looks interesting enough, with reasonable pricing for me to come back. I just won't order anything with hollandaise.

He ordered the fried chicken with French toast, and I had the fried chicken with pancakes--both were absolutely amazing. When we sat down we were immediately a bit turned off because there seemed to be a fruit fly infestation. I'm not saying 1 or 2, I'm saying like dozens on the wall behind us. We probably should have just left but we are too shy. We ordered a fried chicken Benny & fried chicken/french toast. Portions were huge. The fried chicken was well done. The French toast was okay. The taters and home fries were decent. One thing I noticed is that they use a ton of store bought components. For example I know they have banana bread French toast on their menu and I saw store bought "our fresh market" brand boxes of banana bread. I saw bags of grocery store toast. The tater tots were likely from frozen. I guess I'm just used to going to brunch spots and more being made in house - or even sourced from a bakery. The service was friendly. The prices were similar to downtown Toronto - $30 pp without any beverages, before tip.
