This was an average quality breakfast at below average price. However, they have completely lost my faith and business for any future dealings. Came here in the morning and there was absolutely nobody else aside from me. I ordered 2 early bird specials. 1 early bird special was 2 sausages, 2 bacons, 2 eggs and white toast for 7.99. The breakfast special is 1 sausage, 1 bacon, 2 eggs and white toast for 6.99. She suggests a different dish on the menu, but modified, but I insist on 2 early bird specials. I ordered twice the early bird specials here, so it should be twice the portion, right? Wrong. The server/maybe owner modifies my order to be 2 bacon, 2 sausage and 4 eggs, with a single serving of potatoes. Basically, I just ordered the early bird special, but paid an extra 7.99 for 2 eggs. If there's a taboo that was broken here, it's the fact that she straight up modified the order to mark me up almost 2x. Do not recommend. read more

A-OK, at best, cause not everything hits the mark. Kind of like the B-Team was on or something because I can't see why the reviews are so high. It's a nice place but really tight, loud, and busy. None of those are a real deal breaker for me but there is the price. For some eggs, breakfast meats, carbs and coffee, how much does one want to pay? Two people having late breakfast "here" shouldn't costs $40. But it did. OK...If everything hits the mark, $40 is a bargain anywhere...except maybe Timmys and McD and the like! However, the wait was long and kind of disorganized. The tables are within inches of each other so expect to be eating family style with others. The wait staff really needs to clean their aprons! Ugh...do I really need to see how many times you wiped your hands on it and touch my food? Talking about servers - uh...the B-Team kinda sucked. My pancakes were dry to begin with and for some reason...No Syrup! Not even with the French Toast. Waited forever for her to swing back but nope! The table next to us...Who was so close that she's basically sitting in my lap, tells me that they have been waiting 20 mins to get a bill. One of them got up and asked the server for the bill and even told her that my table needed syrup! Nice! :D They get the bill, I get no syrup. I had to flag her down and ask her - you would think she would remember something. As she came by, I could swear I heard air rushing in one ear and out the other (I'm asking for some latitude here - you had to be there and feel my pain!!!). D: Recap. $40 not a problem. There are slim pickings for breakfast places in Aurora. Good thing I discovered this place on Yelp! Menu is "typical" of most breakfast places with some decent lunch offerings. So what is special about this place? 1. Service is very good by ALL staff! I think we had three people serve us! And they were friendly and polite. 2. Food is good. Great portion size so that no food goes to waste! You can finish the entire dish and be extremely satisfied. I got the salmon eggs benny and it was delicious my eggs were poached perfectly and the hollandaise was great. Only downfall is its 3.49 to upgrade the salad to fruit and a little over priced for orange juice. After all who usually has a side salad for breakfast? We came here for brunch on Sunday morning at 10am. The place was so packed. This is one of the newest brunch joints in Aurora and every time I pass this place, I find it to be so BUSY. My boyfriend said their breakfast was pretty good and since we were meeting up with his friends, I thought why not.. Our friends got the table first, after 15 minutes - The manager moved us to a bigger table and to the booth. My bf's friends were a bit rowdy and I guess it was safer to put us there. It was nice since there was more room on the table. Our server was amazing and the manager is great. He runs such an incredible establishment, it was a pretty busy morning and didn't charge us for four coffees since he moved us to a different table. Their breakfast was pretty delicious. I ordered the eggs benny with a side of fruits. It came with two eggs benny, side of home fries and fresh fruits. One egg benny was so filling with the fruits. I'm not a fan of their home fries - I'm just bias because I love my home fries to be fried, crunchy and soft and like mash potatoes inside. Overall the whole experience was amazing. There's also another server, she's a bit older, red hair and blue eyes - OMG she's FANTASTIC and just made my day even better with her amazing personality - she is SOOO funny. Went here this morning with parents who had already eaten breakfast and wanted to share a waffle because of it. We were told "the manager doesn't like that and will charge $6.95 for the extra empty plate". Even worse is they tell us this as the food arrives instead of when we ordered. No chance to order something extra not as filling. (To please the manager) It ruined our meal and my mom had to wait for the 'new' waffle. It is beyond ridiculous to run a place this way. This breakfast and brunch place was recommended to me by a co-worker as my husband and I just recently moved to Newmarket from Toronto. It's located in the southeast corner of Bayview and St. John's Sideroad in a little plaza with ample parking. The space is very clean and pleasant, and very nice and bright because of how it's located in the corner of the plaza and has windows all around. We went on a Saturday afternoon around 1PM and there was plenty of seating available. I had the Freddy's Caramel French Toast and it was so. Friggin. Good. It was fluffy and moist and generously topped with bananas, pecans, caramel drizzle and whipped cream. The toasts were layered to the side (as opposed to stacked on top of one another) so the places where the toasts were dry were minimal, and if you did get a dry spot you could just easily slather on some of your extra caramel drizzle and whipped cream to make it as good as the top-most slice. I'm drooling writing this. My husband had the Eggs Freddy which is an Eggs Benedict with peameal bacon. I must admit this one wasn't the best -- the muffins were dry, the slices of peameal bacon were a bit small and not as moist as I've had, and their hollandaise sauce was meh. I've had better eggs bennies elsewhere. The potatoes were pretty good, though! And the eggs were cooked perfectly (if you like it runny like we do, but they didn't ask how he'd like it done). Pricing is reasonable for the portions you get. Overall, a great place for a casual weekend brunch! The space is very bright and happy and the food is pretty good. Staff is generally friendly -- some were very nice and some just did what they had to, but were not rude or unpleasant. read more

With limited brunch selection in Aurora, Sunny Morning is a great addition to the neighbourhood. Having to been spoiled by the downtown brunch scene for the past 6 Years, I was quite sad for not being able to find a good brunch place in Aurora. Although the food and service is very good here, it is still just your typical egg dishes. You won't find creative dishes here such as avo toast with poach eggs and arugula, shashuka or even a potato waffle egg Benny that I miss so much from starving artist. Maybe one day...but until then , this will be my go to brunch place for now. read more

This place has a variety of breakfast options and also lunch options for those who don't feel like having breakfast. The pricing is very reasonable and the portions are good to keep you satisfied. They have everything from traditional breakfast, sandwiches, chicken burgers, burgers, eggs benedict, waffles, pancakes, salads and more! I opted for the classic western sandwich with egg, ham, onion, and green peppers on whole wheat toast and a side salad with balsamic vinaigrette. It was delicious. The eggs were folded and cooked to perfection. There was layers and layers of egg mixed with the toppings. The salad was really good as well with a nice blend of various vegetables such as lettuce, cabbage (purple), onions, cherry tomatoes etc. It was a satisfying meal that kept me full but also feeling good about having a healthy lunch. Im truly disappointed because there was no one in line and there was empty tables so I asked hostess to be seated first as I would love a cup of coffee. She went to ask who appears to be a manager(I later realized he was the owner!!) who totally ignored my request and me. The polite hostess came back apologizing and advised he would not seat me until my other party arrived. We are a party of 2!!! Instead he made me stand and wait in line, not even acknowledging me. Not sure how this is good customer service????? I would understand if there was other people waiting as well and they can serve them first... but there was no one else in line!!! Once my friend arrived, they seated us and although the servers were great and wonderful, it didn't make up for the first impression I received as a customer from the rude owner!!! If he's treating customers like this, I wonder how his staff is treated. Im only giving this one star because his hard working friend's staff. Won't be coming back! The prices are reasonable. The quality of food is good. The service is exceptional. My server had a smile on her face and a positive attitude. She was really sweet and nice :) I can't say anything bad about this place. Coffee refills are obviously free in case you're wondering. My only gripe is that the total was close to $20 with tips which is too much IMHO for a breakfast of this kind with coffee. If the total was $15-$16, I'd give this place 5 stars for sure. However, it's a minor thing and you should check out Sunny Morning anyway. The service alone is worth it. read more

Our friend suggested this place and it is my first time here. The restaurant is clean, good atmosphere, and waiters and waitresses are friendly. I ordered a lumberjack breakfast with fresh squeeze orange juice. We ordered 1 litre jar of juice because it came out to be better price for us. The lumberjack breakfast came with sausage , home fries, eggs based on my prefer cooking style, and pan cake. The portion is generous and it is good. They have lots of selection in their menu. Their club sandwich and burger looks good too based on what I saw from another table. Looking forward to go there again. read more

I have always been to the Queensway location and have always enjoyed it. I was in Newmarket so I thought I try this location. The first time I went it was great. I ordered the "Eggs Freddy (Benedict)" but instead of peameal, I asked to switch to regular bacon which was not an issue at all. The second time I went to the Newmarket and ordered the same item it was not that great. The eggs were overcooked solid and not runny at all. The staff and service were great and efficient. Lots of different breakfast picks to choose from! I ordered the Eggs Benjamin (Pouched eggs with smoked salmon covered with hollandaise sauce and chives on a english muffin. Served with home fries). The eggs were cooked perfectly. Service was quick and our waitress was very nice and polite. Portions and price was definitely fair. Can't wait to be back soon. I wish they opened past 3 pm though. Parking can be a problem here with so many amazing shops at the plaza (unless you're lucky). If the lot is full, try parking across the street. read more

I got the Freddie's sandwich special on rye and it was really good! Very fresh tasting ingredients and crispy bacon. Service was good for the most part. We had some trouble trying to get coffee and tea refills but the waiters were all very nice when we did get their attention. We went on a weekend and it did get quite busy in the late morning, but we were not rushed out and could sit and chat. I love the restuarant itself because it has big windows and is very bright. For 12$ I got 2 slices of French toast, 2 slices of bacon , 2 sausages , 3-egg scrambled eggs, and slices of tomato , more than enough to share with my 4 year old. My husband had the eggs Benny on peameal bacon that came with home fries and salad for 12.50. It's not Day Break prices but it is around the same as the other restaurants in the area. Service was excellent, servers were friendl, attentive and accommodating for our needs with our kids. One server even walked out of the shop to give us our water bottle back after we have exited the restaurant. It is the service that will have me go back. Not just your ordinary bacon and eggs. This is where you can get much more interesting breakfasts without searching for a place featured on tv. And, everything is scratch made except for the Hollandaise, which is unusual even for restaurants in upper end hotels. For example, a variety of massive, airy Belgian waffles, loaded up with Nutella, caramel sauce, pecans, almonds, fruit, or pancakes with the same topping options. Or a couple mini waffles with a regular egg breakfast. I ordered one of their scrambles, a bowl of scrambled eggs with chopped sausages, mushrooms, and other ingredients in a bowl with toast and fried potatoes on the side. I couldn't figure why I was having trouble getting past the halfway mark--the server revealed there was around 6 eggs in the dish! Sure, you can also get a "normal" egg breakfast for $7, but where is the fun in that? But I really need to go in hard on the waffles next time. We have been there three times....and twice we had a real great server - she was on her own and was in control.....she was not stressed and seemed to enjoy her job! She was very pleasant and funny. This is my favorite breakfast chain in the entire GTA. The service is always fantastic, food is delicious & consistent, and they have a great system to move customers at a great pace. I always order the Meat Lovers omlette which comes with fries or salad but I always get the Salad to cover up the fact that I secretly love carbs and deep fried foods but thats a story for another time.....anyways come here for some yummy eats and the prices are your typical breakfast prices 10 - 15 dollars depending what you order. I was there this morning to enjoy breakfast. with the beautiful presented menu, i saw online got attracted towards this restaurant. i didn't know the service was so bad. the server who served us was Marsis and we were on table 13. First and the foremost there was no hand sanitizer at the front entrance of the store. Secondly, I placed my order and when my order arrived, the home fries were full of salt, i even told the server but she didn't care. Then we were not given extra napkins at our table. the coffee was brought to us but no sugar and spoon to stir the coffee. the server was helping gladly other customers at the restaurant but not us we literally had to call her and ask her for more coffee. when i asked for cream and milk she said how many do u want two or one. they gave us jam at the table but only one and i had to call the server to ask for more jam. Didn't even eat the home fries as they were too salty. the server was not friendly at all, she just wanted us to leave as soon as possible. really disappointed. and if there is no hand sanitizer at the front door then it's not following public health. I ordered Freddy egg benedict and classic breakfast with 2 pancakes. the only good and fresh dish on the table was pancakes, the rest was not good at all. all clients should be treated equally not discriminated just because we are Asians, really sad. read more

If there were a "minus star", I would rate this new establishment as that! We attempted brunch on a weekend and had to stand sufferably in line waiting for what seemed ages while watching patrons seated in nice booths having a great time devouring what appeared to be the ordinary breakfast dishes. When we were summoned by our hostess and led down the aisle of comfy-looking booths, my spirits elevated in anticipation of a new adventure in breakfast/brunch eateries. However, they plummeted as did my face when I saw our destination......a large room full of people packed in like sardines, each one chomping and shouting at each other in order to be heard above the din. We were placed at a tiny table for two with little elbow room from our neighbours but we saw that there were a few booths along the perimeter so we asked if we could have one that was just being cleared. The cordial answer was "Yes of course!" but the server returned and informed us that the booth was for 4 people not just 2. We looked at each other and grabbed our coats and promptly left. C'mon, the menus exhibited the usual breakfast/brunch fare at ridiculous high prices so shouldn't we at least get reasonable seating where the servers don't have to run an obstacle course to reach your table? I guess this shoddy experience is to be expected with the increase in minimum wage and high overhead at a prime location. Found a hair on my plate (a separate order of sausages) which they did take back and SAID they redid but the sausage was not even warm so it was more then likely the same sausage that they brought back minus the hair. I also had ordered your basic pancakes which had a flour taste which was absolutely unappetizing. There was honestly nothing good about this experience. I left pretty much all my food back, paid the bill, and left. But even though I paid for food that was pretty much garbage, I will never go back and if asked by any friends/family what is a good breakfast place to eat, Sunny Morning Restaurant in Aurora will NEVER be one that I recommend. read more
