The guilty conscience. Smoked meat on toasted sourdough topped w/ Gruyère and a fried egg.
    Ed S.

Food: ordered a guilty conscience and a b2 benny. The guilty conscience was good and filling. Who's not gonna like a smoked meat, egg and Gruyère sandwich? The b2 benny had a perfectly poached egg, chewy bacon and a difficult to cut slice of cheddar. For a brunch place, the eggs Benedict gotta be on point and this one wasn't. The hot sauce is hot so don't slather it on too thick. Service: leisurely considering the place wasn't crowded. Ambiance: At 10AM, it was too early to listen to millennial club bangers w/ explicit lyrics so maybe give this place a pass if you've got to feed some kids.

The food here was solid. We got a strawberry matcha, the biscoff lattee, the French toast flight, and the b2 benny. We liked the Benedict the best and found the French toast to be a bit dry and expensive for what you get. Overall it was a good meal and we would go back.

It's always brunch o'clock at the morning after. We enjoyed everything here and the service was amazing. The menu has so many options with quirky names, it's so hard to choose!! They have drinks and cocktails too. Perfect brunch spot! Newest on the menu is the *Stacked in Dubai (Dubai chocolate pancakes) * Hangover Hamburger *ménage a trois (Deep Fried French Toast) *Still Fried (Chicken & waffle) And of course the drinks are so pretty we had to try *Pistachio Latte *Unicorn Latte It's super busy on weekends so be prepared to wait. The only complaint is their parking. All these restaurants have limited street parking. And it's out of the way to go if you don't have a car.

Chose The Morning After for brunch because it was near where I was staying and it ended up being amazing. The atmosphere and music was lively and the drinks were incredible. My boyfriend had the Ceasar (not pictured) and said it was the best bloody mary he's ever had. The food was well seasoned and it hit the spot for sure. We also loved the homemade hot sauce. It was a great experience with great vibes.

I love the morning after. The food is consistently delicious and reasonably-priced. The waitstaff are friendly and food comes out in a timely manner. It's also very fun to be there - there's often a DJ playing and the patio is fantastic in the summer. We went recently and got the mimosa-go-round which I'd recommend.

We looked for a brunch spot with a dj that would remind us of home. This cute little spot had all the aesthics and the dj. We were sat right away which is good because the later it got the more people showed up and they had to wait. The bartender was really nice and accommodated us the entire time. Didn't get his name but we can call him mr blue eyes. He gave drink recommendations and as busy as he was he was still good. All the platters were good. The eggs and potatoes were good. The bacon was chewy. My sis got chicken and waffles.. the chicken was chewy and the waffle was alright. They should think going with tenders or wings. The pancake was thick as ever but sooo good. Drinks wete okay. The need less juice but more alcohol. Definitely a spot with a good vibe though

Came here for brunch with 2 friends and had a wonderful time as the atmosphere was great for brunch. The service was attentive and very quick for brunch. The menu was very extensive with lots of different brunch items and drinks as well. I would definitely come back to this location for brunch.

We had a good breakfast. The food was fresh and tasty. The egg on mine could have been a tiny bit better cooked. It had a bit of runniness to it but the flavor was pretty good overall.

Was looking for a cute brunch spot in the Downtown core area and discovered The Morning After from a quick search online. Despite being around -20 outside, there was still a reasonable amount of people! I came around 10am-ish on a Saturday and was able to grab a table. Walking in, you're welcomed with upbeat party pop music which is a bit of a fun vibe for early in the morning. Spill the Tea (Matcha pancakes): Aesthetically looked amazing but the pancakes were denser than they appeared. The size looked pretty small based on first impressions but was a lot more filling than it looked. Taste wise they tasted decent with the matcha sauce. You can definitely taste the coconut in this pancake. It wasn't the best I've had but not the worst! Blueberry ricotta pancakes: Similar review with the matcha pancakes. The blueberry sauce was delicious and paired well with the ricotta however, it does get a bit overwhelming after a few bites as the pancake texture is already dense. I feel like this would really pair better if the pancake was more fluffier. Chicken & waffles: The chicken and waffles were quite good! The gochujang infusion wasn't really that obvious so I was a bit surprised there was even gochujang in it. I found this to be a bit better than the pancakes. The service was very attentive and checking up on our table for water refills. I thought the wait time would be longer for the food since the server did give a heads up for the long wait time for the food but to our surprise the food came out much quicker than the estimated time! Overall, I had a great experience here, only rough part is that the restaurant is tough to find if you're not familiar with the area (if you see Hunter's Landing, turn to the walkway and it's on the opposite side more tucked in).

Not my choice to come here but it wasn't too bad. A bit pricy for what you're getting but that's just the world today. I ordered red velvet pancakes and a unicorn latte. The pancakes were ok but didn't taste at all like red velvet. If they didn't have the cream cheese frosting I feel like they would have been blah. The latte had zero flavor. Was supposed to have a marshmallow syrup but I didn't taste it AT ALL. That could have been cause it was hot but who knows. The waitress also DID NOT ask if we wanted our drinks hot or iced. It came hot and I wanted it iced. Same with my friend. The place itself is decorated nicely. Very Instagramable. Would I go back if I'm ever in Toronto? Probably not. Once is more than enough.

    Chicken and Waffles (regular syrup)

We visited The Morning After at the recommendation of my bf who went here last time he was in Toronto. It was the last restaurant we ate at on the way back home. Upon entering the restaurant, you are met with a bright and cheery vibe. It was very cute! I loved all the decor. The staff were very nice, they seated us and got our drink orders. I just wanted orange juice, but they were all out, so I got grapefruit. My boyfriend got a mimosa, which he liked. We both got the chicken and waffles - he got the gochujang syrup that it came with and I got regular syrup. Once the food came out, we both agreed the chicken was pretty dry, despite it being thigh meat. There wasn't very much breading on the chicken and not enough syrup for the dish, in my opinion, so I asked for more which made it a little better. My waffle was tasty once I added the extra syrup. My bf said it was a lot better the last time he went there. Overall, really cute restaurant but if I went again I would order something else. I wish I got the pancakes because in the pictures on others' reviews they look really yummy! That seems to be their specialty, so maybe stick to those.

That towering slice of chocolate cake, in particular, is a masterstroke of marketing and pastry craft in equal measure; it draws the eye, earns its reputation, and very nearly steals the show. Where LOUIX LOUIS gives one pause is in the cuisine's ability to fully match its surroundings. The cooking is accomplished and reliably pleasant, yet seldom rises to the level of genuine distinction one might hope for at this price point.
