MIA Brunch Bar located along Yonge St. near Hillsdale Ave. is a casual restaurant serving up daily brunch. One of the only options for brunch in the midtown Toronto area, this place is typically walk in only although they may hold a few tables for reservations. The restaurant is small, where there is dining as well as bar seating available. When the weather is nice they have a small outdoor patio as well at the front. My friend and I dined at MIA Brunch Bar on a Sunday around 11am. The place was busy so be prepared to wait if you have a large party. If you have a party of 2 there may be a less of a wait but it would still depend on the time of day you go. My friend was lucky enough to grab us both a table when she arrived. Service wise, staff are friendly and they do get busy. However, we were able to place our order and our food arrived at a reasonable time. The vibes of the restaurant are casual, but it does get pretty loud in there as some tables are quite close together. As a result you end up having to sometimes yell. You are also able to hear others' conversations as well. Food wise, we ordered the following items: - French smoked salmon omelette (avocado, smoked salmon, asparagus, dill cream cheese, chives, salad, brioche toast) - $25 - Avocado toasts (2 eggs any way, smashed avocado, tomatoes, crumbled feta, balsamic glaze, multigrain rye bread, salad, home fries) - $23 Portion wise, both dishes were filling! My French smoked salmon omelette was tasty and I was definitely full afterwards. It was nothing outstanding but a solid dish. Overall, a decent brunch spot in the midtown area. Be prepared to wait as there may be line ups on the weekends!

Back after a few years! We came here around 10am on a Sunday and were seated right away in the back. By the time we left though there was a line. I got the avocado toast again but with sunny side up eggs. I felt it was a okay! I think their iced latte espresso was quite strong and didn't feel good on my stomach. I loved the potatoes and they give a good amount. The avocad smash was okay as well. Really filling and solid brunch with excellent service.

A couple of friends and I decided to grab a quick brunch, and one of them suggested Mia. I checked out the menu beforehand (I'm definitely an Eggs Benedict kind of girl! ) and was excited to see some great options. The ambiance here is super cute, and it's nice that you can choose to dine inside or outside depending on the weather. We had a big group of seven, and the service was fantastic! The staff made sure we had everything we needed and were super friendly throughout. That said, we were seated near the garbage bins, which wasn't ideal--there were a lot of wasps buzzing around, which kind of took away from the experience. As for the Eggs Benedict, it was just okay. I've had better at other places, and for the price and portion size, I felt like it was a little on the expensive side. But I get it--this spot is on Yonge Street, so rent probably isn't cheap! Would I return? Probably not, but it's definitely a cute place to check out if you're in the area and looking for a nice, cozy brunch spot!

Phenomenal pancakes. By far the best item on the menu. Other items are pretty good, but don't compare.

Tried this spot on a weekday afternoon and it was as packed on a weekday afternoon. So that's a good sign. The space is clean and modern looking. You can sit at the bar or grab one of the tables. There is a lot of natural light from the large windows. The service was great. The staff is energetic and cheerful. They navigated a busy brunch crowd with apparent ease. We had an order of pancakes and chicken and waffles. The deep fried chicken was delicious. It was crispy and juicy. The the smoked bacon bits really completed the dish. The pancakes were average. They came as an assorted stack (a plain pancake a blueberry pancake and a chocolate chip pancake). I've never encountered anything like this and am not a fan personally. However, I can see someone else enjoying the diversity of flavor. Where MIA loses points is their insistence on serving "table syrup" instead of maple syrup. Syrup is not the place to save money. Not for a brunch bar, and definitely not in Canada.

Very enjoyable brunch! We went on Saturday around 11:30 and were lucky enough to get a table for 2 straight away. We had the pineapple/orange juice mimosa which was great and I ordered chicken and waffles with the maple crème drizzle. The drizzle was perfect, just a dash of sweetness. Also excellent black coffee. A little loud but a cute spot!

I hadn't been here in a few years, but it's just as solid a choice for brunch as it ever was! Patio fills up quickly so we had to sit inside. Not a big deal since it's a well appointed restaurant. My kids loved the French toast and the pancakes were awesome! Service was very friendly and efficient.

Coworker recommended this place and off I went with a friend on a weekday around 1pm. We waited approximately five minutes for a table to be cleaned up but otherwise were seated promptly. I feel like Mia is more than 3.5 but just shy of 4. We ordered the chicken waffles and avocado toast. The food took a while to arrive but our lattes arrived quickly. Not a big fan of their latte. The chicken was juicy and I liked the sweet sauce on top. The waffles were a nice texture and not too dense. The avocado toast you can pick the way you like your eggs and I got them soft poached. The home fries were sadly cold. Otherwise I enjoyed the overall plate. I would come back if I'm need of a brunch place midtown and I definitely do want to try their French toast!

MIA has been on my radar for some time, and I finally came here on a Saturday morning with two girlfriends. We arrived around 10:30, and got seated past 11. The hostess was informing everyone that there was a wasp issue on the back patio, which meant most were waiting for an indoor table. There was a steady stream of customers during our entire meal, so be prepared for a wait if you're coming for weekend brunch. I ordered the Crunchy French Toast with an iced latte. My friends got the Chicken Belgian Waffles & Eggs Benedict. Everyone seemed really happy with their food - I loved the textures of my french toast and the sweetness of the toppings. Great brunch option in the growing food scene at Yonge & Eglinton.

Pros: - Fast and friendly service - Cute decor and patio - At least the food I tried was very tasty (especially the cookies which are made the order) Cons: - A bit pricy for the quantity of food you get - Hella wasps on the patio, though shoutout to one of the servers for hanging up wasp traps, you a real one

Fried chicken and waffles, which were around $19

Absolutely splendid brunch here. The food was so good that I pretty much licked the plate clean. These are the best chicken waffles (~$19) I've had in awhile. Unfortunately did not get to take any home, but I'm still thinking about how juicy the chicken was, and how delicious the sauce was.

Their chai tea latte ($5.50 - $5 with $0.5 supplement for oat milk) was a wonderful way to warm up while pursuing the menu. Fragrant and perfectly sweetened, it was just what I needed to melt the cold shivers away. All before tucking into a plate of chicken Belgian waffles ($19), the dish that enticed me to book the reservation in the first place. The three thick pieces of fried dark meat had a well-seasoned crispy crust, which looks thick but is rather light with the excess batter breaking away while cutting into the chicken. They were juicy and tender and could easily find a home between a soft bun to become an amazing fried chicken sandwich.

Pancakes (3 total - plain, chocolate and blueberries). Delicious chantilly whipped cream and sweet maple cream.

I've been coming to this place the past year and it's a regular favorite! There's always a line on the weekend, so I recommend going when they open to get seated. During the summer there is a garden patio at the back of the restaurant for more seating. Pros: Good food and portions. The pancakes, and fried chicken are a regular favorite of mine. Most recently tried the poutine and it was delicious ! Decent service, friendly staff but sometimes a bit slow when they get overwhelmed by the amount of people (if there's a rush). Cons: Drink selection and portion could be improved, imo. Coffee is not the best and is a very small portion. I usually get coffee after my brunch. Price: Fairly standard - 4/5 Seating: Limited in the Winter but back patio is quite nice in the Summer- 4/5 Taste: Delicious! 5/5 Service: Great people but a bit slow during rushes 3.5/5

We ordered and shared two beers, the first a lager, the second a sour beer in order to take advantage of the discounted price. There's a nice pink flower wall in the entrance and the interior is a bit dark and cozy with velvet booths and a nice bar. We ordered oysters, kaizen toast, tofu, steak, sea bass, lobster spaghetti, and broccolini. A few thoughts: - the oysters are nice, I appreciate the tiny bits of rice that add a bit of a texture. They come with toppings already so if you're looking for just plain raw oysters, don't order these - the kaizen toast is one of their specialities. It's pretty heavy (with the foie gras and unagi) but delicious if you like all the toppings! We split between the three of us and that was the perfect amount - the steak frites were cooked perfectly and I enjoyed that the fries were truffle fries! - I would have preferred the broccolini sauce to be on the side, it was a bit heavy I also tried a lychee fizz, good, but I would probably try something else next time. Overall, a nice time especially for a nice dinner, date tonight, or celebration.

The ambiance is sophisticated and chic, with dim lighting, luxe finishes, and a modern yet intimate vibe that makes it perfect for a date night. The service is warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming; small details like offering complimentary champagne for our anniversary didn't go unnoticed and added a personal touch that made the night feel even more special. We started off with cocktails and got the Lychee Fizz, which is their most popular option. It lived up to the hype: light, flavourful, and incredibly refreshing. A perfect drink to ease into the evening. Appetizers kicked off with the Corn Dog & Caviar, which came as four perfectly crisp bites. The contrast of the crunchy exterior with the melted cheese, sausage, and caviar-mayo topping was indulgent and playful; elevated comfort food at its finest. For mains, we shared the Lobster Spaghetti, Grilled Sea Bass, and the Slaw. The spaghetti was packed with generous chunks of lobster, al dente pasta, and a breadcrumb-like topping that added an unexpected but welcome crunch. The sea bass was tender, flaky, and full of flavour, while the slaw - a sleeper hit - stood out with its mix of veggies, peanut sauce, and crispy wonton strips that gave it depth and texture. We ended the night with the Pandan Cake, a sizable chiffon-style cake topped with passionfruit, dark chocolate, strawberry, raspberry, and sakura dust. Admittedly, I was unsure how all those bold flavours would work together, but somehow it did! Delicate, airy, and perfectly balanced. Jade is the kind of place that impresses not just with its food and cocktails, but with its atmosphere and attention to detail. Whether you're celebrating love, a milestone, or just a night out, this Asian fusion spot in Yorkville is well worth the visit. Highly recommended.
