The atmosphere was so cozy and intimate. It's a small little restaurant on the ossington strip and it's super romantic. They are knowing for having farm to table food and great cocktails. We ordered the burrata, the spinach dip and the cauliflower. I also got the chai espresso martini for a cocktail. The burrata was mind blowing, it had a nice combination of creamy from the burrata and sweet from the roasted vegetables. I ate this up so fast, it was so good. The spinach dip was too cheesy it overwhelmed us a bit. It also overpowered the spinach. The cauliflower was spicy and nice but it was too saucy and overwhelming as well. The chai espresso martini was very nice but I couldn't taste the chai, it just tasted like a regular espresso martini, but it was very nicely made. They also had a private event booked at 9:45 and they didn't let us know before our reservation so it was really frustrating and docked a .5, making this place a 3.5. Definitely did not seem professional to do that. Overall a good experience, and would most likely return if they don't book a private event and tell me after I sit down I have to leave after an hour.

A great concept - seasonally rotated dishes consisting of a protein and side salads, with the ability to customize your bowl or choose from pre selected options. I tried 3 of the bowls they currently have in rotation - the Chicken Verde, Pork, and Baharat Brisket. With the exception of the chicken which had a "burnt grill" flavour, everything on each place was fresh and delicious!

Great spot in Ossington to fill your cocktail needs, and that's exactly what a functioning alcoholic like me needs! This spot is cool as hell, with private booths, a disco room, and bumpin' tracks throughout the day. But the main selling point was the service. A bartender/waitress there named Hart.....stole my HEART. Rockin' the cheetah print, and would tend to my alcoholic dependency...a blessing...an angel, if you will. She also recommended I tried the brisket and corn, and boys..were her taste buds right: COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEF AT SEASON SIX: shit was DELICIOUS.

With their expansion of what could only be described as a daring if not impossible business venture - opening a farm to table takeout restaurant in the middle of a pandemic - Lara and Brook defy the odds yet again. This time, though, they can breathe easier. Season Six in its first incarnation proved to be a crave-worthy, quick and convenient take on nutritious food. With an emphasis on in-season ingredients sourced from people who care about what they grow and raise, I was a big fan of their bi-monthly menu swap which accommodated new, seasonal ingredients (thus the name Season Six). And I wasn't the only one. Season Six has amassed a reliable, hungry group of fans, who no doubt will be thrilled to know that their favourite takeout spot has grown from a tight but busy basement to a beautifully conceived, open space eatery. One has to be terrifically creative to open a restaurant during a pandemic. I look forward to seeing what that kind of creativity translates into with more space to play.

Wow, I believe this is my new favorite restaurant! I love the concept...menu changes 6 times a year to match the seasonal produce available. I like that it keeps things fresh and interesting. When we were there it was their late summer menu with items for vegetarians and non-vegetarians. It was a particularly warm day when we were there so we opted to eat inside instead of on their spacious picnic table style patio. I would consider this fast casual dining but the atmosphere and decor felt much nicer than that. While the food was quick presentation was still highly considered. The cocktail (and mock-cocktail) plus food we ordered were delicious. It definitely made me want to come back and see what is in store for each new season!

A friend and I were visiting from out of town and had heard about this spot so we decided to make a reservation and we are so glad that we did! The food was absolutely amazing, the drinks were fantastic and the service was excellent. The veal was incredible but you really can't go wrong with anything at season six. It's perfect for date night, a girls night or dinner with family.

Out group tried the Biscuits and gravy, shrimp Benny and brisket Benny as well as fried green tomato, kids apple johnny cakes and grilled cheese. The portions are generous. The chicken with the biscuits and gravy were 2 pieces of brined dark meat chicken served on a biscuit and collards smothered in pork gravy. Chicken was very juicy and super crunchy, collard needed some acidity, biscuit was light but a little overdone and gravy was not as fat a decadent than in the south, lighter but still tasty, wish they poured it a little more generously. The fried green tomato was outstanding as the accompany silly aioli situation was great. Kids apple jonnycakes were a hit and loved the hot chocolate with mini marshmallows for the kiddos. Gtilled cheese was a hit - got the pull and the bread was well toasted. The home fries were a bit of a let down. Although very cool and layered, they seemed very greasy, maybe oil or flattop wasn't hot enough? Benny's were both good, shrimp cake was well cooked and crisp and brisket was flavourful and moist. The restaurant is bare bones, but has a nice bench seating that spans the length of the seating area, a garage door opening to the street, and a small bar area near the kitchen. There is local art on one side of the wall and graffiti style decor on the opposite wall and washroom (which you can pickup one of the provided pens and tagged it yourself). The cajun fries are soft potato wedges coated in chili flakes and paprika. It comes with what looks like the burger sauce as dip and is tangy and finger licking good. Eating at Heartbreak is a messy affair. The portions are great for the price, the chicken is hot and fresh, piled high with coleslaw and sweet pickles on a brioche bun. The owner seems to be the soul (pin intended) cook, served us, did cash, and took care of the guests. Overall, the chicken was crispy, lots of meat, will be back to try their mac and cheese. I ordered one drink for myself and the two of us ordered two basic egg dishes (an omelette and classic breakfast with practically no substitutions and requests). We then waited almost an hour, even though the restaurant was only half full. No one informed us of any delays, and when I mentioned I was in a rush for an appointment, the waitress insisted the food was "10 minutes away," which wasn't true. When I later directly asked the waitress to cancel the order and bring the cheque just for the drink, her apology felt insincere and was followed by a defensive explanation rather than accountability ("I wasn't aware you were in a rush"). At that point, I didn't really want to argue, I just wanted to pack up the food that finally came (although it was strangely already cold) and pay. We also found it strange that they wanted to charge an extra $1 just to serve the potato sauce on the side, even though it already comes with the dish, which we found to be odd This was just a simple dietary accommodation request to not coat potatoes in sauce but only serve a little on the side, we're not asking for anything in addition to the meal. Overall, not worth it.

Very helpful and pleasant people. I wanted something small, so opted for their pork tacos. You get 3 small pork tacos for $14.75, which is pretty good in terms of value. They were surprisingly meaty, and tasted decent. They would probably make a good sharing item for the table as they were quite salty. Now, if this were a taqueria, I would not be impressed with the tacos. So if you are expecting "proper" tacos, don't order them. Go to a taqueria, lol. But this is a corporate chain pub in a city, whose main goal is to make a large swathe of people happy. So within this context, I think they did a good job. I would totally be ok to come back and try something else another time. I also had a local hazy IPA which was lovely. Overall, it was a good experience and I would go there again.

This pragmatic responsiveness to varying social needs demonstrates genuine understanding of the hospitality spectrum. Their cocktail program demonstrates fundamental competency: preparations that prioritize balance and classical technique over unnecessary elaboration. The spirit-forward compositions achieve respectable equilibrium, suggesting kitchen staff with grounding in mixological fundamentals. The kitchen's approach to food preparation emphasizes comfort and straightforward execution rather than technical virtuosity. Whilst this represents philosophical honesty, one occasionally detects opportunities for greater precision in temperature control and plating presentation.
