We went to Egglicious as a group of 6, on the first weekend after the province has moved to phase 2 of reopening and patios are allowed to have 6 people dining per table. It was on a first come first serve basis and when we got there, there was only one table available for 6-people dining, but the waiting lady was so nice to put 2 tables together for us, so we didn't have to wait much longer. They have many options on their menu: egg benedicts, scrambled eggs, omelets, sandwiches, pancakes, waffles, burgers, etc. We ordered freshly squeezed orange juice as drinks and our food choices were: Smoked Salmon Avocado Scrambler, Striploin Steak & Mushroom Benny, Steak & Eggs, The Lumberjack, Peameal Fried Eggs Club with Fruit Bowl. Whether its for breakfast or lunch, this is the place to go. The service is a little inconsistent, but the amazing food more than makes up for it. They have tons of both sweet and savoury options, so everyone will be able to find something. Their crepes are the best (especially the ham and swiss). OMG! This place SHOULD be on Food Network's Diners, Drive-In's and Dives! Shout out to Kris U. and his review for sparking our interest! This is definitely an old school diner with an unpretentious casual vibe. We arrived early so there was a choice of several booths or tables. Two very friendly servers, who probably thought it was strange that I was in such a snap happy mood, greeted us. We told them it was our first time (You think? I thought the slices of brie added some creativity to the dish, but to be honest, with the runny yolks, creamy hollandaise sauce and buttery avocado slices; I didn't taste the brie. No matter, back to the food. The pork sausages had quite a bit of fat and not a lot of texture, so I think extra bacon might be a better choice next time. The bacon was extra crispy, just like we requested. My husband is not a huge fan of French toast, but he certainly enjoyed it here. Ana checked on us often and one of the women that had greeted us earlier came by to ask what we had decided on. I thought that was so sweet and the service was absolutely amazing. The place became busy fast, so we arrived at a good time. We paid for our bill at the cash register and left with full bellies and a fantastic breakfast experience. My first visit... AND MY VERY LAST. EVER. Biggest menu I've ever seen.... I WAS looking forward to trying many items in the future. But not any more. Prices are NOT cheap, Benedict prices are in line with every other breakfast spot, and frankly, who cares when the food is bad how much you get or the price anyways? I do NOT understand the 4.5 rating on Google... I think these are fake, some at least. I ordered the Avocado Brie Benedict...The eggs, bacon, English muffin and hollandaise were all lukewarm or cold. And the whites were not cooked. The potatoes were disgusting, they had a very very odd, astringent/medicinal taste, and so much red spice, what are they hiding? Also, the fruit isn't seeded (apples) and was brown, obviously not treated with citrus to stop the oxidation process! They remade the eggs. Believe it or not, they were actually colder than the first time and some of the white was not cooked, again. I just couldn't send it back again, people are starving right here in this city! Waitress said she never gets complaints (keep reading to find out why). I spoke with the owner. He said he didn't know what happened. He gets zero complaints on Google reviews (no wonder he isn't interested in Yelp!) I told him that other yelpers also noted lukewarm food, it wasn't just me. And that I had cut a piece of the 2nd order, to let the waitress touch it. She agreed it was not hot. After the owner left my table, three low-rent trash customers interfered and barked at me. This is a regular stop for me. It's an old greasy spoon that's been cleaned up and given a facelift to become a new greasy spoon. South Etobicoke is no stranger to breakfast spots, there has to be at least 10 within a 3km radius and they all do pretty well. Egglicious is definitely in the top three for the area. This is generally because they have good prices, large portions and a lot of variety (every item is always good). They're famous for their 15 varieties of eggs Benedict and an equal number of omelettes. It's a casual place, no frills and if I'm being totally honest, it's the kinda place you can let your redneck flag fly. It's not uncommon to come in and see a mix of Pyjamas and hunting camo any day of the week. So don't feel like you need to "dress up" sweat suits are high fashion. But while this is just my attempt at being funny I think the positive here is that it's a place where folks feel Comfortable to just be comfortable. Egglicious is a real hidden gem! One would overlook it because of its exterior but the food will really impress you that you would make this a regular place to visit. The great thing is that it is open 365 days a year! The portions are large and the menu has variety. The eggs benny with avocado and brie is delicious and so is the steelcut oats cooked in milk too.. but there is so much more than that. Thought i would give this place another go. I've been here a couple more times for their smoothies and shakes, which were great. Today for lunch I got a corned beef sandwich (6 oz). To my surprise the sandwich came with homefries, a small salad and pickles all for $9.30 (tax included). I have to say for value and food portion this place really is generous. So I was excited to try the corned beef sandwich. It's a bit different than what i've seen at other deli places. The bread here is grilled with butter on the outside. When i took a bite of this juicy sandwich all that I could think about was how crazy salty the corned beef was. It was a real shame. And the mustard did not help. There is no way I can recommend getting a corned beef sandwich larger than 6oz here. The meat is just a salt bomb. I could not taste the salad after eating a bite of the sandwich and I could barely taste the hash browns. And I just altogether avoided the pickels... I probably would't have been able to finish that, either. It's always busy but they seem to turn their tables quickly. Lots of benedicts on the menu and if you like Avocado, you're in luck! To my disgust the manager/owner was berating one of the servers loud enough so that I could clearly hear what was being said. Not only was this embarrassing for the server it was totally uncalled for to be doing this in such an open place for the diners of the restaurant to hear. He not only berated her he was swearing at her and telling her if she didn't like what he had to say she could get the "Fxxx" out. The short, blond woman who works as a waiter....I do not know what her problem is, she is probably the nastiest and most rude server I have ever met. I am talking about the short, blond one and she looks to be about middle-aged, older generation. Completely ignorant. I am patiently waiting in line and she goes to the older ladies beside me. When I politely start to speak, enough before I finished saying "Hi, I am.." she walks off completely ignoring me. Once in the middle of the tables, she turns around and rudely yells "I have no answer for you! They can help you there!" and points to the table with the cashier. After some searching for a breakfast spot near to Colonel Sam Smith Park where I went ice-skating last Friday, I decided on Egglicious Cafe and Grill. When I arrived, it was still very busy although it was almost noon; not sure if the lunch crowd was already starting to come in or perhaps it is always like this. There were also a few people coming in for either pick-up orders or to order take-out. The service started out quick, but then there was a bit of a wait for my food after ordering, and little contact with my server after the food arrived. The restaurant is fairly large, with seating for about 70-80 people I would estimate, and lots of windows and bright colours in the decor. I ordered the Morning Glory, which was french toast with 3 eggs and bacon, and a cup of coffee. Everything was fine and the portion was good; the french toast was 6 fairly thick half-pieces with butter and syrup. The coffee was strong but not overly so. There was also a french toast plate that came with fruits and cashews instead that I almost ordered, and about ten different versions of Eggs Benedict, as well as the usual egg breakfasts and sandwiches and entrees. My total bill was $16, so about average for the size. I cannot say that my experience was as great as some of the reviews that I had read, but I am willing to give them another try in case they were busier than expected that morning. read more

I love their early hours, servers always offer to top up your coffee. The restaurant decor isn't fancy but the presentation of the food and being non-greasy is superior. This is our favourite place for weekend breakfast. The staff is super friendly, the service is quick, the food is always just right and portions are very generous. We have never been disappointed here! Get the Lumberjack breakfast. It's got a bit of everything and can totally be shared between two people if you add in an extra side of eggs and fruit. The 2 pancakes that come with it are perfectly fluffy on the inside and crisp on the outside. However, the potatoes are definitely our favourite part. Perfectly seasoned and never undercooked. The place: It has a diner feel to it, but was recently renovated so I would categorize it as 'modern' diner decor. Very clean, lots of windows. We got there around 9 a.m. on a Monday (Civic holiday) and didn't have to wait to get a table. The goods: I ordered a 3-egg vegetarian omelette that was served with potatoes and a side of sausage + coffee. I asked to substitute one of the veggies and this was no problem at all. The omelette was huge and delicious, as were the potatoes. Also, there's not a lot you can say about breakfast sausage but the ones these guys serve, totally rock. Service: Our waitress was fantastic. Super friendly and attentive, always checked in to see how we were doing, and we never had to ask for water/coffee refills. Price point: The whole thing cost me about $13 with tax. Note that the coffee and sausage were extras ($1.95 each) so double-check the menu to see what's included when you order. So my aunt and I wanted breakfast after a morning at Costco's. She wanted real breakfast as her husband doesn't do swine so when they go out for breakfast it's more like lunch.
