Service was very good, place looked clean and we enjoyed our eggs, coffee and pancakes.

Always a solid choice. Food's consistently good, service is friendly and efficient. Iced coffee options are yummy, French connection floats my boat. read more

Came here with my wife and our friend and her son. It was a nice little diner experience. We came for brunch on the weekend and while it wasn't crowded, service was good and the food was pretty tasty. We all enjoyed our respective meals and would completely return. The home fries were more than what met the eye. We wished they were a little firmer but they were seasoned way better than a decent breakfast spot. Our only con was the smell upon entry. It smelled like maybe the bathroom or something but after awhile the smell disappeared. Not sure if something was leaking or overflowing, but apart from that the Breakfast Sandwich and Wrap were pretty good, and the home fries were bangin'. Would definitely come back for breakfast and get the same thing. We also tried the strawberry lemonade, which was very fresh and tart, but good! 8 out of 10, overall. If you're looking for a nice breakfast spot for conversation or grab-n-go style, then would definitely suggest if you're in the area. read more

Your typical casual breakfast chain and a standard Sunset Grill. There was just one server at this busy location on a weekday morning. But the server was very courteous and did well to balance all the tables. She was great! But just expect a slower pacing here. Food was served fast, hot and good portions. Would return. read more

Really good diner-style food, a little slow. It was just one waitress working the place (who was very nice), so I'm not sure if that was the problem or if the kitchen was just slow. Waited a long time to get our teas and didn't get to order food until the drinks were brought out, and I had more than enough time to finish my tea before the food came. I ordered the Sunset Fruit Waffle, which wasn't totally what au expected because I imagined the fruit being on top of the waffle and it was instead served in a dish on the side, but that was easy to do myself. The waffle, and I do not say this lightly, could not have been more perfect - malty and so fluffy. Didn't get soggy with the fruit. Definitely the best waffle I've had in a long time. The fruit salad was very fresh too. Prices are okay. Not a very big place, but it looks like they might have a patio open during warmer seasons. It got a little cold at my seat by the window but the ambient temperature of the restaurant not right next to the window was fine. Overall, would recommend for a classic breakfast done right as long as you're not in a rush. read more

Not the biggest location, but boy, do they know how to serve breakfast and a burger. We started off with a coffee (was 2.50) which was delicious! We also ordered the combo with 3 small eggs, bacon, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, and pancakes, $11.50. Everything was cooked well and the bacon was thick cut and tasted amazing. We also ordered the Banquet Burger dish ($11.50) which also has thick bacon and cheddar cheese with potatoes (they don't carry fries) and the patty, which looked like a thick frozen burger, was was very juicy and had excellent flavor. Our sever was busy but still was able to serve us in a timely manner. Total bill was $32 which was a bit high, but good food. read more

Several months ago, my team at work was eating at Nando's, which is across from Sunset Grill. I was talking to a colleague and indicated that I have never been to a Sunset Grill in my life. She told me that the one closest to her home was really good, and that she and her husband go there regularly. Our team at work goes out for lunch every Friday. I had made the suggestion to go here in November. Unfortunately, I couldn't attend. Yesterday, I was in the area. It was 13:00 and I was hungry. I decided to give Sunset Grill a shot. I walked in and there was a family in front of the please-wait-to-be-seated area. I didn't know what to make of the place until the family decided to clear out. I was promptly greeted. He asked whether I wanted the table that was just in front of the cash area. I asked for a table further down, mainly because I didn't want to be in front of the doors opening and closing, and my ultimately freezing. My table was in front of the cooking area. It's not a bad thing to see three happy chefs work and joke with one another. It is oddly a pretty quiet area. I was greeted by Lisa, who was friendly, accommodating, and talks as swiftly as she works. I asked for a Diet Coke. She asked me whether I wanted a glass with ice. Sure! She came back and I placed my order. I love French toast and pancakes. My toughest decision is to decide which one. I went with the former and asked for three slices. Done! I also wanted a side order of sausages. She entered everything on her handy iPad mini. She also mentioned that my order wouldn't take too long to make, which was nice. She brought my Diet Coke in a can, glass containing ice, and maple syrup to my table. I enjoyed my drink while waiting for my meal. My French toast and sausage came. Yay! For the longest time, I have been going to Wimpy's Diner for my occasional French toast fix. After having such scrumptious French toast here that used thick slices of Texas toast, what was I thinking back then?! So good! The best part? The maple syrup served is thick. You pour it on your French toast and it takes its time. When it's finally on your toast, it sits there and doesn't want to budge until you cut into your food. That's the consistency of maple syrup that i have missed. It's not like that runny cheap stuff that you typically get that looks like sugary water. The sausages were yummy. You get four of them. This place doesn't skimp. Lisa came by to pick up my empty plates and provide me with the bill. She provided friendly, fast, efficient service. We wished each other a happy 2018. I went to the cash area to pay for my bill. The place allows you to pay by cash, or you can use your Visa or Mastercard. These breakfast-lunch places tend to close by 15:00. I am glad that I made it in time to give this place a try. I'll be back to give the pancakes a go! (266) read more

To start of 2018, we ate a homey brunch. We were surprised that around 11 am, the place was packed and many servers were working to accommodate everyone. We didn't have to wait for a table - thank goodness!! Service was quick and friendly. We both got different omelettes with home potatoes and toast. The potatoes were to my liking. Not deep fried at all!!! The food came hot which was nice. Who wants a cold breakfast?? The downside to it is that there weren't any fruits on the side like most Cora's meals. For the first time ever, I was charged $1.49 for hot water!!!! What??? I didn't know it exist. So I was a bit in shock. Didn't confront the waitress; I'll pay the small price. Overall, it's a small cozy place to eat brunch at a decent price. Nothing fancy but be careful with random stuff you might have to pay. read more

It's a great place for breakfast/brunch in Mississauga!!! A very clean place, nice ambiance, tastefully decorated and in a great location. The food is fresh.... delicious!! A good selection of items in the menu... and the best part is, the food tastes like home cooking, seems they do not use artificial taste boosters or other non-natural ingredients. The staff members are very friendly and caring... excellent customer service!! read more

I came with a company of 4 and we were greeted warmly by the waitress. When I asked for hot water, the waitress was kind enough to offer lemon slices and honey to go with the hot water. The Florentin tasted good, the egg is soft with a lot of spinach and red onion chunks. The sauce is the soul of the dish. It lightens up the whole dish. The breakfast is a bit too big for me and I could not finish everything on the plate. read more

This place is a good find. Tucker in a little restaurant strip mall (kind). Very inexpensive. Quick service. And the food isn't bad. I like that it list the calorie counts for each item. Makes me/us realize how much food we are actually consuming. However, now I'm depressed knowing how many calories are in my beloved links. The atmosphere was very casual. Seat yourself. And then waitress arrived very quickly. There was a lot on the menu but my party was ready. So I panic ordered. We ordered the Sunset Super, Sunset Sandwich, a veggie omelet. The Food: very inexpensive and very good for the price. It all tasted fine and was cooked well and hot when it arrived. But there were a few things that took away the 5th star. The home fries were under or not seasoned at all. Not terrible. They're still delicious. The pancakes were nice and fluffy, except that one side had sit in the griddle too long and became crisp on one side. The coffee was a little on the acidic side. But still coffee. No deal breakers. Again, good for the price. I would definitely return. read more

Consistently good, fresh food, for a decent price. Friendly, helpful staff. Generous with coffee refills. A good family restaurant--pancakes and waffles for the youngsters, avocados and sauces for the foodies. My husband and I go a couple of times a month, and always get a warm welcome. read more

Blah. I've been here a few times for myunch break. Customer service has always been good. However the food, not so much. Just a few of the things I've ordered: 1. Eggs benedict - made to my liking. However the hollandaise sauce was just alll over the Benny's. 2. Avacado toast was okay. It was drenched in oil. 3. Pancakes are a hit or miss. Sometimes they're made nice and sometimes they're burnt. Overall, not really a fan of this place. I think Denny's is a bit better. read more

Great Breakfast! Ordered the eggs scrambled with cheddar cheese, prepared perfectly soft (so many places overcook the eggs into oblivion and turn them rubber). The Bacon (what kind of bacon was this?) was just delicious, 5 big pieces. Not that plasticky crap you get in the U.S, this was great I'd order via mail to get more!! The home fries were cubed and just slightly undercooked which made them just ok, I do like them crispy on the outsides and maybe they should throw some onions and seasoning kick them up a notch. The Service was outstanding! Attentive and friendly but not overbearing or obnoxious. 2 coffee refills without asking. And the place is super clean which was a pleasant surprise, usually, because usually I associate a great breakfast with a greasy dive. Home run! read more

I came here with my husband while attending a wedding in Canada. After a looong day of travel the day before, we needed a yummy breakfast while still staying healthy. Picking this spot was a home run for us. "All-Day Breakfast" is EXACTLY what you want to hear when you're jet-lagged and boy does this place serve up some yummy eats. I had the Eggs Florentine with a side of fruit and was overjoyed in breakfast bliss! My husband who had very little to eat the night before was also in love with his meal. Our waitress was attentive and made sure I got my coffee, which was very much needed. If you're in Mississauga, give this place a try. All-Day Breakfast - you can't go wrong! read more

Came here for breakfast with 5 friends on a Sunday morning. I ordered the eggs benny which was decent. Nothing extraordinary (I still prefer Eggspectations eggs benny). One of my friends ordered pancakes. His order was completely raw from the inside. When we told the waitress she did not apologize or anything. She sent the manager over about 10 minutes later who said sorry and took it off the bill. My other friend noticed the Tabasco tasted odd. Turns out it was expired so she asked for a new bottle. The new bottle, which was brand new still wrapped in plastic, was also expired. We didn't say anything the second time because we didn't want to seem annoying. Overall it's a definite no for me. The service was beyond poor and the food was way too average for me to return. Good service can sometimes make up for bad food but this establishment lacked in both aspects. read more

Great menu selection. I had the crab eggs benny and thought it fantastic. Hollandaise sauce was simple, just not amazing. Portions were crazy big too - easily could have shared a plate. Fast friendly service, Great food at a reasonable price and decent portions. I will go back!

I don't understand all the high reviews. We came on a Sunday afternoon around 130pm, seated outside as the dining area inside looked too stuffy. Maybe some server quit or didn't show up. Took too long to get our menus and even longer for the underwelming cold food to arrive. The hollandaise sauce was chilled to a gel, peameal bacon was under cooked and just bad service. Will not return! read more

This place has lots of seats and a patio if you want to eat outside. We tried the French toast, fruit salad, all day breakfast, eggs sunset and sunset super. They don't really allow substitutions when ordering but the server was good about pointing out other options on the menu that would satisfy our requests. The food came out hot with big portions and was very filling. They kept our coffee cups filled and were pleasant and attentive. The pricing is pretty average for a sit down breakfast place. We went for a light brunch here around noon. The hostess greeted us a a big smile that made us feel very special. Our server was very quick and very polite. My husband ordered a breakfast and I had the grilled chicken sandwich. The chicken was juicy and done to perfection!
