Simple standard breakfast fare. Bobby's has been at the Streetsville location for over 20 years and its all-day breakfast is well-known to locals. Food and recipes have been consistent. Regular favourites include Eggs with Bacon, Ham or Sausage, Homefries and Rye Toast; and Pancakes. If you have a big appetite, the Weekender might be for you. Eggs have always been cooked perfectly to order. The pancakes are soft and fluffy every time. Many of the meals are served with unlimited coffee or tea so prices are reasonable. Be prepared for a bit of a wait if you visit on weekends during the summer. The parking lot is small. Most of the time, our wait ranges from 5 to 20 minutes. However, service is usually quick. Located outside of the heart of Streetsville, this location is a favourite for locals. Limited parking around the restaurant. The friend asked me to try it as she has been bringing her family here for over 20 years. The server was friendly and left us socializing without much interruptions. Yes, we were there for about 3 hours. The menu is decently priced. The washroom is small, but clean. Photos of celebrities hang on the walls and some tvs. So it reminded me more of a pub place. My friend got a waffle with bacon strips, her indulgence. I tried their veggie omelette with home potatoes and rye bread. The omelette was a good portion however I could have eaten more potatoes. The presentation of the meal could be nicer/improved. There was nothing "wow" about this brunch. Verdict: it's popular with locals, but I'm there for the company. read more

The walls are plastered with famous "Bobby's", the ambiance here is eccentric and intriguing. I came with work friends for breakfast and was seated right away. The service is really friendly. Decided on a Spanish omelette (the difference between this and vegetarian is that is has salsa inside). The food was prepared promptly and comes with a side of toast (choose between white, wheat or rye). The food presentation is pretty standard compared to other diners. The food tastes good too, but quite heavy. It's a neat spot if you're in the mood of a satisfying breakfast! I would check it out again when in the area! read more

If you want to eat low quality store bought and blackened food for the price of +20 dollars a head, this place can guarantee that experience. 3 adults and a toddler - we only ordered 3 dishes - steak and eggs, corn beef hash, and pancakes with sausages. The steak was well-done even when ordered medium rare, the corn beef hash was mostly potatoes, and for a breakfast place, their pancakes were the absolute shock - it tasted like your low quality boxed mix with a heavy baking soda taste. All toast came burnt on the bottom with little care. The coffee tasted like coffee water. The only thing passable were the eggs. Looking at the pricing - the price of 3 low quality pancakes are $11.99. Adding a side of 3 low quality breakfast sausages brings that to $14.79 - which feels like robbery as other places have pancake dishes with all bacon, ham, and sausage for similar prices. Our toddler who loves pancakes showed little interest in eating more after a few bites. For a long time family runned business, we are shocked at the prices for the quality they provided. I will also mention that our wait staff forgot to input our order so there was an additional delay of 30 minutes until they checked again that our order didn't get placed. The service was just barely passable as many of the staff seemed nice but lacked experience (not asking for a lot of experience but just everything was lacking). As someone who just wants a reasonably priced and fun easy atmosphere - sharing my transparent feedback for all of you and for the owners to see. I'm surprised this many people still go there when there's a Panagios down the street with much better quality food and service for the price. I wanted to support a family runned business like Bobby's but I really don't think I can after going here today. We were so hunger and luckily for us the food arrived so quickly! My corned beef hash was so tasty and well made. Just found my new favourite breakfast place in Mississauga! Bobby's is like an institution here, you can tell by the way they operate and the decor of the place. They've been around for 20+ years and for good reason. This is some great traditional breakfast. The cob salad was amazing and simply wowed us. There's close to twenty ingredients here and they the portion is massive. Their homemade dressing is to die for as well. It's cheesy, garlicky, with a hint of sour and citrus. It reminds me of a Ceasar dressing. There's plenty of grilled chicken here, there bacon, there's blue cheese, a hard boiled egg, and even avocado. It's a premium salad in terms of ingredients and the dressing brings it all together with all those wonderful greens. Highly recommended! Pancakes were amazing here as well. Fluffy with an extra denseness and eggy taste that I found delightful. There were three of them. The breakfast sausages really surprised me here, it was juicy and had a nice snap to them. I'd definitely get extra sausages next time! The coffee is bottomless here and they come often to refill it for you. Service was very efficient. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the food and service. At the table we ordered the Corned Beef Hash breakfast, the Deep Fried Chicken Dinner, and the Villa Vienna Schnitzel. The corned beef hash tasted like it was from a can and not homemade. The fried chicken was not like southern deep-fried chicken, as it was just pieces of boneless and skinless chicken that were breaded and fried, making the chicken dry. In addition the breading was a bit bland. The mash potatoes that accompanied the chicken were also bland, and the vegetables were very salty. The schnitzel was not really pounded as flat as traditional schnitzel, so it was a bit thicker and tougher. The service was inconsistent. The hostess who greeted us was friendly, but seated us across from the washroom (which did smell), even though the restaurant was half empty. She did move us to a better location. The waitress was also friendly, but after the food was served, she was difficult to find, so we were waiting for a coffee refill, and I had to seek out another waitress when we were ready for the bill. In addition, during our meal, one of the staff started vacuuming the neighbouring tables and around our table. So, we could not find anyone when we wanted a coffee refill or the bill, but they were there to clean the floors, when we didn't. read more

All in all the place is OK, I have had better! Lets get down to logistics of it: The FOOD: as we were three people we ordered a bunch of things... The portions were decent and food on overall basis tasted well, except the peameal Bacon as per my friend. The Pan cakes were huge. The only thing missing on the plates were the fruits which pretty much all breakfast joint provide. The PLACE: the place was open and wide. So it was breathable and not a small box fitted with some chairs. The seating were comfortable and they have various types of seats. The Service: The staff was polite, quick and nice. The Price: I think it was reasonably prices for breakfast when compared to other places and you can get a decent meal between $10 to $11. The only thing happened wrong was the cup they provided for tea wasn't washed properly but it was a quick fix and they provided a new cup. These things happen as I have worked in a restaurant and sometimes the dishwasher doesn't do much. I even observed a worker vacuuming around tables while I was enjoying breakfast. I like my eggs over medium and hey were exactly over, and exactly medium. If you can cook an egg to perfection, it's a good sign of things to come. The menu was simple but offered enough choices for the typical stubborn fat bastard (ie myself) and if you can please my demanding tastes you can likely please anyone. The service was nothing short of spectacular. I was greeted with a warm and sincere welcome and led to my seat promptly. I was offered two menus (one for their all day breakfast and one for lunch) and given enough time to read through while enjoying a cup of earl grey. On more than one occasion I had an interaction with a waitress or worker who wasn't helping me directly and they were all wonderful people. Especially Bobby, his wife and daughter whom I had he pleasure of meeting and speaking about the business with. The atmosphere here is quaint, the decor can be updated to be a little more modern but it certainly didn't feel like a mid 1900's nursing home like some other places I've reviewed (names will not be mentioned) there were several screens to watch goings on of local news on, and the crowd in general seemed to be your average family out for a breakfast together. It was a calm and relaxed local joint that felt a lot like home. The prices weren't half bad either, if not a touch on the pricy side (only for some dishes). That being said the overall value for money was great, and although you won't find anything too special here outside of your typical all day breakfast, you'll not mind the extra cost when you consider the exceptional service and quality of the food. As previously mentioned the breakfast menu was compact but offered a plethora if choices all at pretty reasonable prices. Overall I'd recommend Bobby's Hideaway to first timers and veterans alike. A very nice breakfast diner. If you go on the weekend I'd suggest you avoid 10:00 am to 11:30 am as you can expect a 20-30 min wait. Larger groups (8-10) may have to wait longer. The coffee is decent and they will refill it frequently during your meal. My personal fave is The Big Bobby (1/2 lbs of ground round). I also ask for extra crispy home fries. The regular ones can be more like mushy potatoes. For lunch my daughter loves their Fish & Chips whereas my Mum and Dad love the Liver and Onions. The burger is decent as is the steak. Still a great go-to breakfast place! I came back today with family from out of town and everyone enjoyed it! It was quite busy considering it's thanksgiving Monday but it was expected. But we got seated very quickly! There were about 3 groups ahead of us and they were seated within 7 minutes when we arrived. It was very busy but they managed to be super friendly and had everything under control! We were a table of 8 and waited no more than 10 minutes for our table. Food was good! Everything came at a reasonable time and all orders were correct. We got everything we needed and our waitress came back often to make sure everything was ok! she was super nice! Both were large servings. My steak looked a lot fuller than 6oz, it wasn't like other breakfast/brunch places who serve steak & eggs where the steak is a flat dry piece of meat. The breakfast potatoes were AMAZING. As for my boyfriend's order, he had pancakes which were ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. They were good with or without maple syrup. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for brunch. I don't think it's overpriced & the service is really good. For the both of us it came up to $40 after tip - not bad considering what we ordered. In fact, I thought the bill was going to be more. My only qualm is how customers have to wait to be seated; they weren't giving out numbers or taking names... If this is how it is with larger crowds, they need a system. Hands down; this is the best breakfast place I've been into. We came in on a Sunday morning. It took about 20 mins to get a table, and it was worth it! I ordered the Steak and egg special; steak done medium rare and the eggs--sunny side up. We got the food quickly and just devoured it! There was no need for any condiments. While the outside of the restaurant looks to have been renovate the inside looks like it's from the 1970s. Even though smoking in restaurants hasn't been allowed for years the restaurant still smelled like it had a smoking section. The service was decent and I have no complaints about it. I ordered the corned beef hash. It was way overpriced at north of $13. I noticed that most of the menu items were laughably overpriced. It came with a couple eggs and two pieces of toast. The best place to get a classic breakfast in Mississauga, I wouldn't go anywhere else even if there is a wait (and I'm impatient-I rarely will wait for a table!). I have been coming for over 6 years now, and the speediness of the service + great tasting food has never let me down. I'm amazed at how fast they always get the food out, even on days where it's exceptionally busy. Sometimes I feel like it comes out faster, as crazy as that is. Their pancakes and home fries are DELICIOUS! I don't know what it is about them but they're really great. The only minor complaint I would have is that sometimes, if it does get crazy busy it might be a little bit hard to locate/get a hold of your server after your food has been dropped.
