We visited this place on a Saturday morning about 15 minutes after they opened. We had very little wait (mainly in line as they organized their tables) and were seated within 10 minutes of putting our name down. My husband and I ordered the famous Mrs. Biederhof's Wild Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes and Veda's Choice with potatoes. A single pancake is also available for $9 CAD if you don't want to commit to the three pancake stack. Everything was made fresh to order and came out very quickly. We were able to order, eat, and be out of the parking garage in 30 minutes! The restrooms are gender neutral (single stall units with the sinks inside). These are some really good pancakes! I liked how thick they were. It wasn't too sweet. Very filling. The avocado toast was loaded with toppings. The salmon tasted more fresh than smoked imo. So... spoiler alert - we had our wedding reception here (PRE COVID!) in 2020 and even though they checked off ALL the boxes for our wants.. Had this on my list to try for their blueberry pancakes. There was a bit of a line when we came 10 min after opening on Sunday but it moved fairly quickly. There seemed to be a 10k race nearby so lots of people from that event came after. Once we were seated it took about 30 min to get our food. The hot matcha below was a okay matcha flavor. We of course tried the blueberry pancake stack. I though they were pretty soft, a little thick and dry but good when all mixed with whip cream, maple syrup, and blueberry. But I expected the pancakes to be softer, less dry and more tasty on its own. The blueberry compote was very soft and melts in your mouth. We ended up waiting for around 2 hours, then when it was time to order it took another 30 minutes for the food to arrive. Though the wait was long, the staff were very nice and helpful. Ok now for the food. Their pancakes are known to be almost crumpet-like, with a thick texture compared to regular pancakes. While they are delicious, the cost was a bit too steep for the amount you get ($26 with taxes and tip).
