Veda's Choice subbed the salad for potatoes

We visited this place on a Saturday morning about 15 minutes after they opened. We had very little wait (mainly in line as they organized their tables) and were seated within 10 minutes of putting our name down. My husband and I ordered the famous Mrs. Biederhof's Wild Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes and Veda's Choice with potatoes. Both meals were absolutely fantastic and we were glad that we opted to share plates so we would both get the sweet and savory experience. This place ran so efficiently. We ordered and recieved our food very quickly. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated and set up very nice. The bathrooms were clean and they had enough restrooms that I didn't have to wait in a line. The waitstaff was top notch and I thought they helped make the experience a phenomenal one!

We happened to dine in on a Tuesday. There was a wait, but there are many shops in the village to browse while we waited. I like the open concept. It's has a little storefront where you can purchase products. The pancakes were delicious. Tasted amazing. And were plenty in size! I paired mine with smoked salmon, my son had a side of sausage and eggs. Our server was efficient and kind. Overall it was a great experience! I would definitely dine in again .

Go for the pancakes, the ambiance, the service! Celebrated my sister's birthday and we had a beautiful time. We both indulged in their blueberry pancake stack. Our server was kind enough to write happy birthday on the plate and deliver it with a candle (& the party hat was such a nice touch). Such a wonderful surprise for my sister. Thank you!

Came here on over the holidays and put myself on the waitlist for a group of four and the wait was approximately 40 minutes. I've always wanted to try Mildred's so I was super excited to try it! I got the smoked salmon croissant with a side of salad. We also shared the blueberry pancakes which were also fantastic, so fluffy and tasty!! Not too sweet. They excel in both savoury and sweet and I would totally return back to have it again. Our server was very kind and the whole restaurant was beautiful!

The food was amazing, very short waiting time for a table, sincerely such an inviting feeling when you walk through the door. I was on a short friendly trip in Toronto came to see some friends and this place stood out from the reviews I had been reading, the pancakes looked out of this world so we decided to try it. What really makes this establishment stand out is that they add their own special touch to all the dishes including their coffee selection. The Salted Maple Latte was chef's kiss I had to get a second one. I would definitely return in the future just for that drink. It was an amazing time with friends and I'll always remember that delicious maple kiss!

#pancakesmakepeoplehappy We went on a Monday for brunch. Reservations aren't available on the weekends because they're so popular. I was able to easily make a reservation the evening before. You'll get reminder texts. If you are 15 minutes late you risk losing your table. Parking is easy if you use the parking garage ($2.00 CAD for 30 minutes). Super cute and the inside is actually very spacious! When we arrived around 10:45am there were some patrons but you'd still be able to walk in and grab a table. By around noon they started to fill up. You'd like have to wait 20 minutes for a table. We ordered the famous blueberry pancakes along with the avocado toast. A single pancake is also available for $9 CAD if you don't want to commit to the three pancake stack. Everything was made fresh to order and came out very quickly. We were able to order, eat, and be out of the parking garage in 30 minutes! The restrooms are gender neutral (single stall units with the sinks inside). These are some really good pancakes! I liked how thick they were. It wasn't too sweet. Very filling. The avocado toast was loaded with toppings. The salmon tasted more fresh than smoked imo. It came with your choice of fries or salad on the weekdays. On the weekends I think there's an extra choice of some kind of potato that isn't fries. We left stuffed. Service was really friendly too! Mildred's Temple Kitchen was a great way to end our Toronto trip. What better way to leave Canada than to enjoy maple syrup with pancakes.

I was traveling to Toronto and in my research, I learned this was a must for breakfast. So I had to try it. Unfortunately, they do not take reservations during the weekend. We got there around 11 AM and was told there would be a 90 minutes to 2 hours wait..WHOA!!! Since we ubered there, we put our name down and they would text it when the table was ready. It took almost the entire 2 hours for us to get a table. But we when were seated, we noticed there were some other available tables and no guests there until we were about to leave. Ambiance- very nice place. pretty decent size. Service - Our waitress Kendra was amazing. She was nice, courteous and served us with a smile. She was very informative about the menu and all the options available. Food- I ordered the Vida's Choice - poached eggs on a croissant with bacon, had to pay extra for avocado, My sister ordered the chix & waffles. We slit the wild blueberry pancakes. The Vida's choice was really good, creamy, crunchy and buttery at the same time. My sister enjoyed her chicken and waffle. We expected the pancakes to be out of this world, but it wasnt. It was a corn mix for the pancake. It was good, but not out of the world specular,

I spoiled myself for a little pick me up at Mildred's last month, one of my fav places for brunch. We had weekday reservations planned. Sometimes you just gotta treat yourself. But I wouldn't dare trying to brave the wait for a weekend spot otherwise. Of course we gotta start with their famous wild blueberry pancakes. Simply one of the best you can find in the city. Apparently you can also buy the pancake mix to go. I'm not the kind of person that normally have a sweet dessert for meal so I did add in some protein with sausage on the side, which I guess I kind of balanced out the meal? My SO also ordered some steak and eggs as well and he enjoyed that quite well. I also loved the presentation of the cucumber spritzer I had, quite refreshing. The vibe is pretty nice and spacious and relaxed,it wasn't too busy on a weekday brunch, which I prefer. The service was good. If you haven't been to Mildred's in a while, maybe it's a good time to check it out and treat yourself.

I traveled from California to Toronto, and Mildred's was the first spot I stopped at after landing. I'd seen so many great reviews and wanted to check it out for myself. The food lived up to the hype -- fresh, flavorful, and well-portioned. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, which made it a nice way to kick off my trip. The reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because there were a few flying bugs around the area, which I understand can be hard to avoid, but still a little distracting. Also, when it came time to check out, I felt the server hovering a bit to make sure I tipped, which made things slightly uncomfortable. That aside, I still really enjoyed my visit and I'd definitely come back to try more dishes next time I'm in Toronto.

Me and 2 friends stopped in for brunch on a weekday and had a reservation. The service and atmosphere was really chic and modern and definitely made our experience. We ordered a lot of drinks and coffees and the menu was very extensive. As for the food the salmon and egg croissant was amazing and the biscuits were a fan favorite amongst my group. I suggest anyone who wants to go to Mildred's to make a reservation as it was quite busy and the staff was so nice and attentive. I would definitely come back when I visit Toronto again.

We went on a Friday with a reservation for 11:30am. We ordered: Blueberry pancake Mildred's hamburger Scone Chicken and waffle Note, only brunch is served and the menu is quite limited. Personally, the pancake was dense with a biscuit like texture. It must be eaten with the toppings otherwise it is too dry. I prefer that the pancake is served warm. I wondered if it was served cold because of the toppings. The scone was really dry and the apple jam has the same texture of applesauce. I did not enjoy the scone. The restaurant decor is beautifully bright and airy. In the table booking system, there are a few pre-visit questions which could be helpful for the restaurant to meet your needs.

    Veda's choice
    Michelle K.

A very well known brunch spot and especially for their wild blueberry buttermilk pancakes! They're obsoletely delicious, a little bit more dense texture it's unique and they add a ton of blueberries. If the full order is too much, you can order a single pancake as well. I always get the "veda's choice" which is a salmon with soft poached eggs between a croissant. It's super delicious and classic! The menu is quite small and they do offer alcoholic drinks if you're into that. The restaurant is quite spacious with lots of natural lighting. Service is nice and the server came to check up on us often. Expect long wait times during weekends !! I always get there right when they open so I don't have to wait. It is easy to find parking but it will not be right in-front of the restaurant as it's tucked into a pathway.

So... spoiler alert - we had our wedding reception here (PRE COVID!) in 2020 and even though they checked off ALL the boxes for our wants.. THE FOOD WAS KILLER. our tasting was so bomb back then...and ever since 2020, we've been wanting to go back for dinner. Yes, everyone raves abt their biscuits... pancakes.. BUT THE DINNER MENU. I have been begging them to open for dinners but they only do large events (fair!) and brunch all days. I may have even started begging friends to have their wedding there just so I can eat the food/appetizers that I missed at my own wedding cu we were too busy mingling. But alas... Winterlicious!!! I booked asap and I am so glad i got a date, on a Saturday night! It was so wonderful to be back in the space and all the fond memories came flooding back. The hubby and I got a date night (thanks GMA!) and it was wonderful, yummy and fabulous. I really do hope they do dinners again but I'll settle on winterlicious. (Which we never do bc a) kids and b) it's just not the real deal to me). But not the case at Mildred's! Everything was perfect... the crab cakes were a little disappointing but everything else was spot on. Donna was in the house and I had to stop myself from thanking her for building this beautiful space. If you know anyone who is thinking of booking an event, push them and then talk them into getting you onto the guest list (if you weren't already)... and me too, if you can.

Especially liked the artwork and table with their name on it. I had the Nutella latte, Nutella and strawberry waffle, and a side of sausage. Didn't like the sausage at all (tasted a bit gamey) but that's probably because ein the states there are nitrates, etc that make it taste better. No biggie! She switched it out for bacon, and that was fine and appreciated. My sister had the breakfast tacos that looked delicious and she really enjoyed. All in all this was a great pick and I would return when im Canada ever again and I'm in the area. Keep up the great work, Pierina. My raspberry croissant was beautiful and packed full of flavor. The filling wasn't too sweet and there was just the right amount inside. A quick Yelp check pointed me to this spot a brisk eight-minute walk from Queen Station on Yonge, and I'm so glad I made the detour instead of heading to one of my usual haunts. I was seated immediately. The place has lots of seating -- high tops, tables and booths -- and a cool, eclectic vibe: comfy chairs, interesting wall photos, eggshell light fixtures and cheerful yolk‑yellow and orange tones. Big glass windows make it a fun people‑watching spot, and the open kitchen lets you see the cooks hustling away. I ordered the classic breakfast (just over $18): two scrambled eggs -- soft and perfect -- plus herb potatoes fried in beef tallow (I swapped those for lightly dressed artisan greens). You choose your protein -- bacon, Canadian bacon, rosemary ham, chicken, or pork bangers -- and I went with the hardwood‑smoked bacon: three perfectly cooked slices. Coffee was ethically sourced, and my mochaccino hit the sweet spot -- not too sugary. All in all 10 out of 10. I plan to try their gluten free waffle next time. Extras worth noting: they offer booze, smoothies, juices, and a $4.75 "coffee bump" (1 oz of Irish cream, Kahlúa, whiskey, bourbon, brandy, or Grand Marnier). Eggs are free‑run. Service was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable -- got me in and out without feeling rushed, back at my desk before 1 pm. I'll definitely be back -- next time with friends so I have an excuse to order everything on the menu. Highly recommend for anyone who needs a well‑made, comforting breakfast-anytime (and possibly a legal excuse for a midday coffee bump).
