After reading great reviews for Bobby's Hideaway, we decided to go here for a quick catch up and for some good food. This place was bright and had lots of seating. We ordered the Grilled Chicken Penne (5/5), Beef Dip (4/5) and Fish and Chips (5/5). Grilled Chicken Penne was deliciously creamy. The chicken was juicy and the mushrooms were bouncy. The pasta sauce had a faint taste of wine which was pleasant. The dish also came with garlic bread. Beef Dip was good. The sandwich was packed with sliced beef. The only thing that would've been nice is if we were given the option to change the cheddar cheese to either Swiss or mozzarella. The onion rings were fresh and crispy. Fish and Chips were enjoyable. The fish to batter ratio was perfect. It didn't feel like I was eating mostly batter. The fries were really good too. Overall, the portions were big and the service was fast. We met friends here. They wanted to have the veal parmigiana which they enjoyed. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. I enjoyed the beef dip and my partner had chicken breast in a brioche bun. My husband and I visited for a weekday brunch. The spot gets pretty crowded on weekends but we were able to get a table right away on the weekend. We ordered a Greek Omelette and Eggs Florentine. The food was delicious and generous position sizes. I liked that each dish comes with complimentary tea or coffee. A breakfast dish is between $16-20 but totally worth it for the taste and portion. My only criticism is that the wait staff were not warm or friendly. I asked for a change of table when we walked in and was treated by a glare from our waitress. Homestyle favorites done right. Unpretentious, just simple, yet, comforting. I'm not big on traditional breakfasts, but when that craving hits, Bobby's Hideaway is a go-to. Their portions are plentiful and at decent prices. Even with ordering on UberEats, you can expect the same quality. There's lots of tables inside to seat parties of all sizes. Excellent service and our server was very friendly too, so much so that she inserted herself into one of our group pics. :) This is a good location because you can take a walk toward the lake after your meal. It's quite relaxing so you can have you're brunch and spend the afternoon in this area. There's plenty of parking so there's no rush. But before that walk, you will get to enjoy a really good brunch. Solid brunch diner. Came here with some family to grab some brunch and were happy to enjoy a meal here. I ordered the corned beef hash. It was flavoured well and a solid hash. Other orders on the table were the angus beef special and a veggie Benny. We all shared an order of the pancakes too. Needless to say we were all pretty full walking out of the restaurant. This is the first time we tried the Port Credit location and I love their patio set up in the parking lot. We went on a Saturday morning and although it was busy, we were seated right away. Once we ordered our meals came very quickly, which I appreciated. The servers were friendly and asked often if we needed anything. A very pleasant surprise. Being from out of town, a friend suggested meeting here for breakfast. My first thought was to Yelp it and see where it was and what was on the menu. The pictures don't do this place justice. This little spot is 10x's cuter than I thought from the pictures. The food is 10x's better that I expected based on the pictures. Well, goes to show you not to judge a book by it's cover. The menu had a good amount of options. I chose something more "basic", yet it was satisfying and thanks to the flavoring of the potatoes, you earned your 5 stars. As restaurants begin to open up Bobby's has maintained cleaning standards, which isn't really a compliment. I understand that opening up makeshift patio is good business sense, but the fact is they do not have enough support staff to sustain that. I end up just feeling bad for the waitresses that have to constantly go inside and out because of the lack of organization. There is also now a table set up in the middle which all the sauces but it is clear they are not being disinfected clearly enough between each customer. I've also begun to notice sadly that even with my previous review how much I adored the decor of pop culture, there was an inherent lack of people of colour which is EXTREMELY questionable. It's crazy what you notice when you notice. Especially when you've started to practice wiping down your own seats and tables. read more

No real Vegan option, i knew that going in, but disappointing. Food is pretty good, but really expensive. The tables are jammed pretty close together. Taking out just one table for 2 in the middle and one on the wall would be a big improvement. The Spanish omelette says it has salsa in it, but their version is also FULL of mushrooms, not a couple, but full of them even though it doesn't say so on the menu. I have had Spanish omelettes elsewhere without mushrooms but the waitress didn't seem to care and just said that's how they prepare them. So i paid $16 for 3 eggs and a pile of gloppy mushrooms scraped off and left on the plate. My son loves their chicken wings but we probably won't be back to dine in restaurant. Bobby's Hideaway is located on the south side of Lakeshore and the end of Shaw Dr which is west of Cawthra and east of Hurontario in a strip mall complex with a Metro grocery store. Years ago and I do mean years ago I used to work in the Meadowvale area of Mississauga known also known as "Pill Hill". Just near Brittania is the area known as old Streetsville in Mississauga. It's a village with an old town feel to it and it's my first memories of what I knew as the original Bobby's Hideaway. It was a diner and although I've seen it recently I haven't gone there in decades. I learned that there was another location not far from Port Credit so I thought it would be cool to go there with some friends. The décor of this Bobby's is fun. On the walls are more photos of Bobs, Bobbys, Roberts, Robertos etc than you can probably name. It sort of reminds me of what Woody's on Lakeshore did years ago with Woody Woodpecker, Woody Harrelson, Woody Allen etc. The inside of the restaurant looks new and modern and has a good feel to it. The restaurant space is well ventilated. I think it even seemed a bit chilly inside and the restaurant was pretty full with some people having to wait for seating after we arrived. We arrived early for Sunday brunch so we were seated easily relatively speaking for breakfast/brunch places. The parking is easy too being that this place is in a strip mall which made things even better. The service was fine but not spectacular. We weren't ready the first time and had to wait a bit for our server to return to take our orders. To be fair one of my friends ended up going to the washroom the second time she came around to take our orders as well. Coffee fill ups were taken care of with great frequency but initially we only received cream and we had to wait and ask for milk. When receiving the bills we didn't receive all of them the first time and had to wait to ask for the other one that was missed. We also had to ask for steak sauce and hot sauce as they weren't offered originally. As far as breakfast goes I find it's a basic meal that for the most part, most places will really be similar to one another. There are only so many way to make eggs over easy, and while there are different styles, recipes, and techniques for pancakes, waffles, toast etc the way to make it different or above and beyond are somewhat limited. I had ordered what was called the Big Bobby and it's 2 eggs, half a pound of ground round topped with baked bean and onions with homefries and Texas toast and coffee. My wife ended up ordering the steak and eggs which is a 6 ounce New York with home fries, toast and coffee. Not really much can be said about the food but to say that it's what you would probably expect for a breakfast. I don't often have ground beef for breakfast but it was sort of nice. The servings were pretty much what they listed as and nothing out of the ordinary. My two friends that had asked for corned beef hash didn't seem too impressed. I suppose if you're looking for just a basic standard breakfast Bobby's will work as it's a safe choice. I wasn't expecting to be wowed and I wasn't. read more

The specials seem to be a little pricey - but keep in mind that coffee or tea is also included in that price. Except to pay around $12-13/ person for lunch and a tiny bit less for most breakfast options. Service: Service was good, waitress was attentive but the restaurant was very busy so servers were constantly running around attending other tables etc. Food: The food was good, food was flavourful and was cooked to perfection. Thank God for a diner that serves breakfast menu until 9pm on a weekday!!!!!!!! craving for steak & eggs the other night, but unfortunately Captain Robin's Restaurant down at Lakeshore rd & Light house area was closed by 7pm. What a bummer. Anyway, the interior is decent, clean, and simple. Nice aura. The food? We ordered: steak (6oz) & eggs & homefries ($19.49) Corned beef hash + eggs for ($13.19) And of course, we ordered hollandaise sauce on the side - $1.99 The good thing about their specials is that it includes COFFEE or TEA - on the house. This coudlve easily cost you an instant $2-$3 somewhere else. The price is reasonable, but it felt kind of short with portions. But the taste is definitely good. Such a delightful and welcomed upgrade from the restaurant that was here before Bobby's, this restaurant hosts friendly service, a full breakfast, lunch and dinner menu of comfort foods and a relaxing, homey decor. I was very excited to find fried buffalo cauliflower bites on the app menu at Bobby's, it's my absolute favourite & they did not disappoint! Every dish that arrived at our table was a heaping portion, worth every penny. I ordered a Roast Beef Hot Hamburger which fresh veggies and fries and my date ordered a Veal Parm Sandwich with a side caesar and over a pound of muscles for an appetizer. The cost is 100% manageable for a family outing. I would recommend Bobby's to anyone in the area. My only complaint is that the french fries were typical flash frozen, dry and chalky. I choose this place due to photos and reviews on Yelp, but was disappointed overall. We were a party of two and were seated AFTER another party of two arrived several minutes after us. My order of corned beef and eggs tasted as if the corned beef was from a can and not freshly made. The coffee was slow to arrive and I next had to wait for cream. Waitress forgot to bring the glass of water I asked for twice and also the toast was not served until I reminded the waitress. We arrived 1:45 on Sunday afternoon. Well, this was a good place to eat when it first opened. But the last couple of months I find the food isn't exactly as good as it was when they opened... Don't get me wrong the food is still good but just not as good as it used to be. She took three bites out of the fries and about two bites out of the chicken burger and had to use the bathroom... Glad Bobby's has made its way to South Mississauga! We went within the first few weeks of it being open for one of their classic breakfasts. Meal was consistent with what we expect from Bobby's. In fact, slightly less greasy than its Streetsville counterpart. We had a seat that looked directly into the kitchen, and while normally that would be a bad thing, I liked it this time. I could see that they had a very clean kitchen and everything was handled properly. Only negative, and it is a minor one, it is a very tight area. Seats and tables crammed together. The entrance is petite and you feel as though you are standing on top of people. Go early and beat the rush! read more

I liked it...the 3 is based on it still feeling a bit like it has growing pains. I waited a really long time for my bill...and eventually gave up waiting for the server to come back to the machine. In her defense not busy but was training someone. Friendly tho and obviously making an effort to get to know customers. Food was good big portions great value from that point of view. There were 11 of us celebrating a birthday and we were tipped off by a neighbor to try out Bobby's near Port Credit. It was a very busy place and frankly was a bit tight trying to get 11 of us settled but it worked out (thank goodness we made reservations). I can honestly say that everyone was very pleased with their order. I had the hot beef sandwich which was exceptional. Their fries are crispy and tasty. The fish and chips were also a hit! Don't be fooled by the 9 positive reviews, the cat foods out of the bag, literally. Seniors love this place. Why? Because they have no tastebuds and love cheap food. I ordered the roast beef, what came to my table where thick, overcooked, but not overcooked, seemed-to-be steamed pieces of equally- sized, maxi-pad sized and shaped beef. Pre-packaged. NOT home cooked to order as they claim. Not a trace of pink or even a bit of marbling, totally suspect magic meat. The vegetables on the plate I couldn't even identify. Now don't get me wrong, it looks decent on the plate but it's pre-packaged. To start I had the "Italian wedding" soup. Popped out of a can would have been better, the meatballs were disintegrated grains in the soup, not a single round meatball and a strange sour aftertaste to boot which leads me to believe it was several days old. Other "food" which came to the table? 2 burgers and two veal parm sandwiches, again NOTHING special. Now the place is busy, tons of old people, but what struck me sitting next to the kitchen was the utter silence coming from it. No grills sizzling, no water pots boiling, no banter, NOTHING, yet food flies out of the kitchen. How is this possible? PRE Cooked and I mean PREEEEE cooked, NOT made to order. I had a coupon for Bobby's Hideaway for 2 for 1 lunch. My husband and I decided to try this place at 1pm on a weekend. My husband ordered a sandwich and I ordered eggs benedict. When it came time to pay, I presented the coupon and was told we couldn't use it because it was for lunch only....uh so because I ordered eggs I couldn't use it? Yep! We love this place and come quite often but decided to come on a Sunday at 11:00 with my parents that were visiting from out of town. The restaurant was busy with a few empty tables but was disappointed that we stood there over 5 mins and none of the 4 servers came and acknowledged nor greeted us.
