Tried this new brunch place at square one. Very crowded but loads of tables. Environment was very pleasant! Food was delicious and just as expected. Portion was decent and the price was typical to other brunch spots.

Pur & Simple is the best brunch place - even the simple items are done so well and it's just a classic breakfast place. i got the Cortez omelette , it was so savoury and delicious. I loved that it came with an avocado, it was the perfect touch. I loved the crunchy home fries on the side, always so crunchy and crispy !

We were out and about in the Heartland to do some shopping and we figured we'd grab some brunch before popping into any stores. We initially stopped into Pur & Simple and were told that there would be a half hour wait, despite an obvious abundance of free tables both inside and out. After wandering around in search of another appropriate eatery, we decided to come back and were told that the wait was now about five minutes. Weird. We got a table inside that was right next to a door that the servers used to go outside, so people were constantly coming and going right behind me. It was a little annoying. Anyway, after perusing the menu for a few minutes, I eventually decided to try one of their skillets, the Rizo ("Chorizo, red & green peppers, tomatoes, avocado, scallions, 3 cheese blend and spicy Hollandaise sauce"). (Oh, I should also mention that my water glass had a bit of a lip stain on the outside of it. I was too thirsty to try and complain, so I just wiped it off with my finger and drank from the other side.) The food took about twenty minutes to arrive and when it did, it wasn't exactly hot. It had clearly been sitting around for a while before our server brought it. I'm sure some heat would've improved it, but there were other problems too. I'll first state that I did eat all of it and I basically enjoyed it, but it did seem like it could've been improved. I liked the heat level of that spicy hollandaise, but the dish just ate way too rich. It needed something to cut through all those heavy elements. The sausage was very soggy, too. The dish ultimately felt like it had been thrown together by a bored cook. I didn't get the sense that any care or love had been involved in the preparation of my meal. I can't see myself ever returning but the place is busy enough that I guess that's for the best.

Cute spot for brunch, very long line though. Food portions were good and staff very nice.

Went to the Heartland location for brunch with a friend, and it was quite an experience! The restaurant was clean and bright, which belies the atmosphere one would want for breakfast, lunch or brunch. Our server greeted us with fresh coffee and a pleasant demeanour, which already added to the sunny day outside. My companion had the French Toast, which blew me away with its presentation and made me envious of their order. Her dish was garnished with bananas, chocolate chips, whip cream and chocolate syrup! I ordered the breakfast poutine, which consisted of any style egg (I chose scrambled) and a Hollandaise sauce atop a mix of breakfast meats, cheese curds and potato wedges. Both dishes did not disappoint, and we were in unanimous agreement to visit any one of their locations again!

I've been a fan of Pur & Simple at this location in Heartland Town Centre, since they opened. They open early at 7am, which is great for people needing flexible early options. Their menu has changed a little since the grand opening. I miss their J&B Wrap! But their menu is still quite large and there's something for everyone. Prices have also gone up in the past year. So it's no longer an affordable regular place to dine on a frequent basis. Service is good, but would appreciate it if all staff stay masked for health. My last visit, only one staff member was masked. Note: it gets VERY busy on weekends. It's just the nature of brunch service! Please be patient if you choose to go during their peak hours. Service will naturally be slower and queues at the door. Please be kind!

FOOD | Came for Sunday brunch with a couple friends. I really enjoy brioche bread, so I tried out the Breakfast Brioche. I am used to brioche being in a rectangular shape, but this one came in the shape of a hamburger bun. It was a bit smaller than I expected, and the bun was not as fluffy as typical brioche. I really enjoyed the fine herb mayonnaise dressing on the sandwich, though. SERVICE | It was really busy because we came at peak hours. The service was kind of slow and kind of inattentive at times. I'm sure that as they stay open for longer, there will be a better system in place that can optimize customer enjoyment :) AMBIENCE | It is very cute inside! I like the neon signs and the clean, white deco. It's a perfect brunch-y vibe. VERDICT | Good new brunch spot in Mississauga, worth a visit if you're from the area!

I went for brunch with family and had a lovely meal in this cute restaurant. The decor is so fresh and clean. The seating is comfortable. I would say the quality of the food is much higher than most breakfast restaurants. I ordered the big three which was excellent. My aunt had the Canadian breakfast and my sister had the simple breakfast. Everything was very tasty. The eggs were perfect. One thing I was impressed with was that they use higher quality meats than most breakfast places. The bacon was a nice thick cute. The ham was not too salty and the sausage was very good quality as well. I was also impressed with the selection of breads which included bagel. The pancakes were good but not fluffy. But the French toast was amazing. The servers work very well as a team. Our server was very sweet and attentive. Coffee cups and water glasses were refilled. We were taken care of very well. I will definitely go again.

Food is solid and I would say a safe place to go if you wanted brunch. Nothing that stands out or warrants a line, which is something you'll always find with this place. We found the place to be very unorganized and overall felt frustrated to be waiting when there are countless open tables inside and on the patio... It's also irritating when you wait 30+ mins for a table and you end up taking the one that's been open the entire time... I was very close to rating this place a 3/5 for these reasons, but didn't want to penalize the food and our friendly server.

What better way to start black Friday with a good brunch! I am so excited that our &simple Opened near us! I love the gourmet meal that I tried and it's a good portion as well. Just a tip,it would be nice that you and your friends can share a meal coz the portions is huge lol ..it's good for the price! The ambiance is just very nice and inviting! Definitely worth the try!! I highly recommend this restaurant! Very clean looking and nice customer service. I'll be coming back next time for sure!

Charge log on my car at Heartland confirming my half-hour wait that ended when the rude busboy told us that we can no longer wait inside.

Dropped off my wife to get a table at 1030am. Was told that our table will be ready in 30 minutes so I parked and used the level 2 charger at 1031am. Went inside to wait with my wife. The restaurant is small and cramped with no waiting area so it was hard to find a place to even stand. Guess what, after standing for 30 minutes, the busboy rudely told us that we cannot stand where we have been standing for the last 30 minutes. Since there is no other place to stand, we did what a reasonable person would do and left the restaurant. At 1110am, 40 minutes later or 10 minutes more than the 30 minutes wait that was quoted, my wife finally got a text message saying that our table is ready. By that time, we have already been seated and served at Congee Queen across the road. No food is worth waiting 40 minutes standing time and getting told by the rude busboy that we can no longer stand and wait where we have been waiting for 30 minutes. I rarely leave a 1 star Review, but others need to know what to expect from this restaurant and their rude busboy. Not recommended.

Cakes are pretty solid, though expensive, but its a good cafe for casually meeting friends without having to go to a full restaurant. I don't think I'd buy a full cake here, because the cakes aren't bakery/patisserie level good, but a slice here and there is ok. Their app is great as they have regular offers, and the pickup process is smooth. It'd be nice to see them change up the cake flavours now and then or to try something more unique. The existing lineup is not bad, but still plays it pretty safe / are classic flavours. As for the cakes themselves, blueberry chiffon is my favourite because I enjoy a more typical blueberry flavour, then the blueberry yogurt, and the red velvet. Most cakes are light, not too sweet (exception is the red velvet as its cream cheese), but all were fresh and a good portion size too.

Overall just very wet and aggressively sugary. In an age where people are trying to eat healthier, I cant really imagine myself coming back for this when I could have a larger portion of more refined sweets elsewhere. Likely a better fit for people with a major sweet tooth or for kids. It's similar to a treat you'd eat at a food truck in a festival or outdoor event. I feel as if I ate an entire week's worth of sugar in one go. The shop itself is pretty modern, spacious, and clean. Sparse seating, lots of mirrors, etc. But the location is great, and there's lots of plaza parking. Staff were ok but very busy with orders. The rest of the menu seems good. Lots of variety of other sweet drinks and pastries, but also items to balance out the sugar like coffee, tea, savoury pastries, etc. Kind of like a crossover between Tim's and Starbucks. I am hesitant to try other items though because of how sweet the puffs were. The pricing is also really steep for the kind of food it is. Personally speaking, Id rather hit Krispy Kreme because those donuts while sugary, don't feel as greasy / heavy as these puffs. For comparison these puffs are around $1/pc and an original donut at Krispy Kreme is around $1.50 An additional minus is the online/app ordering process. I ordered on the app, arrived, and didn't notice any instruction for pickup ( no signage , markers, etc). I waited 10 mins because it was pretty busy, staff were working nonstop, and I had just ordered less than 5 mins ago. I had to ask the staff about my order, and it turned out it was ready all along sitting in a cabinet with frosted glass doors, so I couldn't even tell they had any orders waiting. The app also didnt have a progress bar, just an estimated finish time at time of order. Less than seamless, for sure

After dinner, I decided to drop by this Starbucks that was next door to see if I could pick up a treat. Looks are deceiving. This cafe looks small when you stand in front of it. However, when you open the door, there's a huge seating area on the left. It's a large cafe. Maybe it's because it doesn't have a drive-thru. There were lots of folks seated, sipping on a beverage, munching on baked goods, and chatting. It looked like a cool place to chill. It felt relaxed. I stood in line behind a couple of customers. It allowed me to figure out what I wanted. I looked at the lemon loaf slice in the display case. I hadn't had one in ages. Okay, I'll get it. Well, all that changed when I spotted the snowman cookies. I have had one so far this winter. It was the one with red earmuffs and a scarf. I spotted a blue version. I wanted it instead. I got the friendliest, cheerful woman when I got to the order area. I grabbed the snowman with the blue earmuffs and scarf. I let her know that I was here for the snowman cookie and that I'm late to the party. She smiled. She let me know that the Valentine's Day heart-shaped sugar cookies were out, too. Oh, no! She said that I should go with the snowman cookie since I had my heart set on it. I agreed. More choices weren't good here. I got my Starbucks card scanned off my phone. Done! She handed me my cookie. I thanked her and happily left with my treat. I had it today. It was buttery, sugary, and yummy. I don't visit Starbucks as much as I used to. I'm so glad that the snowman cookie still exists. I have had it for years and the yearly tradition to devour at least one continues. I had a great experience.
