I've been meaning to go to this place but couldn't figure out how to find it in the plaza. It turns out it's located inside Bubble Republic! They offer Malaysian/singaporean dishes which is sometimes hard to find. The place was nice and clean and the staff was friendly. I ordered the Malaysian curry laksa with a half udon half vermicelli noodles. The broth was so coconuty and shrimpy which is how I likey laksa. Good amount of garnish of shrimp, tofu, and fish balls. The only thing was the noodles was more vermicelli than the udon. I think next time I'll order it I'll get it for udon only. Definitely coming back here for the bakkutteh dish my other favourite! read more

I hadn't heard of Breakfast ING before we showed up but the place had plenty of good reviews, so I was definitely down for a drive into Mississauga. The place was far from crowded when we showed up, and we were told to check out the menus and place our order at the front. We decided to share the House Special Sandwich ("Pork loin marinated with house special recipe, tomato, fried egg, cabbage and peanut butter") and the Malaysian Street Style sandwich ("4oz ground beef with a taste of M'sian spice, tomato, fried egg, lettuce and sweet & spicy sauce"). (I also got a milk tea to drink, and it was really good. Very rich but not too sweet.) The sandwiches were both excellent. They were packed with flavor and the various components all worked really well together. The Malaysian Street Style did flirt with being just a little too sweet, but it was balanced out with the other components. Everything was decently priced, too. Breakfast ING has been my go-to spot for Malaysian Curry Laksa take-out in the Mississauga area. Its location is shared with Bubble Republic restaurant which makes good business sense. In past years at the old location on its own, I would have rated it as 4 stars, but my recent experience has lowered my rating. While the Laksa taste has been consistent in taste with a good amount of spice, the quantity of shredded chicken has decreased over the years. You do get a some fish balls, tofu skin, a half hard-boiled egg and two shrimp in the bowl. And while the Roti Canai with Curry Chicken is quite tasty, you only get 3 small pieces of chicken with a lot of bones and it was a tad on the salty side. I was expecting a quarter chicken leg. There was a decent amount of curry sauce and potatoes to go with the roti. I've tried other menu items in the past such as Malaysian Street Style Sandwich and it tasted average. A couple of staff were obviously sick with coughing and congestion while cooking or serving customers at the cash. One of them walked by me while coughing and did not cover their mouth. The restaurant is not environmentally friendly as all dishes were served in paper with plastic cutlery, and thrown out with the rest of the garbage. I have been here a few times, and every time, it was a nice experience except for the most recent one. The way it works with this place is that it's like a cafeteria, you line up to order, and they bring your order to you. The staff behind the cash were usually friendly except for my recent visit where, instead of explaining the sugar level for a bbt that i was interested in, she bluntly told me that she could provide a pack of sugar for me to add according to my desire. I ordered the Kaya toast with Salted butter for $6.50. It was on the costly side with 2 slices of toast that I could very easily make at home. What I objected to the most was that while I was eating, the staff started to talk about their stomach issues and toilet business. That was so shocking to me, and I thought they were either blissfully ignorant of being more professional or just didn't care. In searching for a takeout place nearby I came across Breakfast ING and the sandwiches looked amazing. Going through more food photos and I was pretty much set on ordering from here. A friend seconded my suggestion and said she'd been a few times. I quickly scanned through some reviews to make sure that the food not only looks good but tastes good too. Most of the reviewers were very positive and really enjoyed the food. However, there was one that said the Malaysian street style sandwich was basically 2 hamburger patties sandwiched in between bread. I found the sandwich to be better than that. It was surprisingly filling. I suppose with 2 hamburger patties and 3 slices of bread it would be. Probably my favourite breakfast place in Mississauga. Breakfast ING serves Malaysian breakfast/brunch with a touch of Taiwan/Hong Kong influence. Classic Malaysian dishes like Laksa, Bak Kut Teh and Roti Canai are served here along with its famous grilled sandwich. With its unique menu offerings, I think it is the first of its kind in Ontario/Canada. Coming in for brunch, I had the Malaysian Curry Laksa and House Special Sandwich as mains. Then Roti Canai (Indian-influenced Malaysian flatbread) and Hot Milk Tea as sides. I loved the Curry Laksa. The soup was rich, creamy of coconut milk, and full of ingredients (shrimps, fishballs, squidballs, dried tofu, boiled egg, and bean sprouts). It tasted exactly like the Laksa I had in Malaysia! The grilled sandwich was equally as delicious and tasted like the ones in Taiwan. You might think the sandwich isn't much, but it really fills you up. Finally, the Roti Canai was great and goes well with the soup/milk tea. However, I wish it came with curry sauce but I think that's extra. I was wondering how it could only be $1.75. Came for brunch with a friend - Breakfast ING offers a unique variety of Malaysian and east-meets-west options. The place is quite small, and we would get quite a cold draft each time the door was open. Service was okay, nothing out of the ordinary. My friend and I got a bunch of options to share, including one hot milk tea each. The milk tea is decently creamy and rich - do note that it comes unsweetened, but there's a jar of white sugar on the table for you to add to the drink should you desire. Bak Kut Teh with vermicelli: This traditional Malaysian soup noodle was quite clear and fragrant. It had a strong and distinct taste of cinnamon, and some sweet and tangy notes from the pickled greens added to it. We got about three pieces of meat with bone, four pieces of veggies, and four tofu puffs. The broth was light, and perfect for sipping. I think this was my favourite, mostly because the warm soup was just what I needed (and was craving) that cold morning! Egg Crepe with Ham: The egg crepe was good and carby, and one of my friend's favourites. I enjoyed the salty flavours, though I would've preferred to get the sweet sauce on the side, and not served directly with the crepe. I did, however, find the crepe to be somewhat greasy and heavy - although the crispy sides were utterly delectable and sinful, I could only stomach half of it! Kaya Toast: This toast is served with two soft boiled eggs on the side, with a chunk of semi-melted butter in the middle. It was my first time trying kaya, and I enjoyed its slightly sugary and distinct flavour very much (though I could've done without the butter)! I added a splash of soy sauce and dipped it in the soft boiled egg, but I ultimately enjoyed it the most alone. We went to Breakfast ING for the first time a couple of weeks ago. The interior is very clean and pretty sparse with only a few tables to choose from. We'd been trying to eat here for several months, but always found it was so busy that we were unable to get a table. We went really early this time and finally got a table. I'd suggest getting there before 10am if you don't want to have to wait. The menu has several really interesting breakfast and lunch options, such as egg crepe rolls, charcoal grilled sandwiches, clay pot and noodle soups, Malaysian curry with roti canai (OMG!!!) and traditional Malaysian Laksa!!! We hadn't had roti canai in years (maybe twice since we lived in Malaysia in 1990), so of course we ordered that with the chicken curry plus a bowl of seafood Laksa and a potato croquette. The roti canai was absolutely amazing, crispy, flaky and so tasty and the curry was equally delicious! The Laksa was as good as any we tried in Malaysia and the croquette was to die for! It was crunchy on the outside and 'mashed potato-ey' on the inside. I could've eaten 4 of them lol. The prices are really great too. Such a bargain! Searched for a quick breakfast place. Stumbled on this on yelp on a rainy day. We ordered 2 house special sandwiches, 2 Malaysian sandwiches, potato croquet and an iced milk tea. The service was quick and the staff was friendly. The house special sandwich was good. I thought the Malaysian sandwich would be unique but it's simply two hamburger patties between two slices of bread and another bread stack with bread and special sauce. The milk tea tasted good and was mixed well. The potato croquet was yummy but it only came with one and charged us $3 (it was over priced for what it was)! But once we were seated, a line up started to form. However even with the line up, I'd say there was only a 15 minute wait. The food was excellent. This is an amazing sandwich: sandwiched between 3 pieces of bread are sausage, lettuce, tomato, and a sweet and spicy sauce to go with it. Absolutely wonderful. I've been trying to get to Breakfast ING ever since I saw their Laksa noodles! However, they close by 4PM every day and I'm either downtown Toronto or in Hamilton for work so I'm never in the area when they're opened. I came on a Saturday afternoon around 12PM and the breakfast crowd was clearing up. The restaurant is very small and narrow, it seats around roughly 30 people in there. The waitress saw me and quickly seated me with my menu. The menu is laminated so you can mark your choices with a dry-erase marker. I got the Laksa Soup with Vermicelli Noodles + Spicy. The laksa was DELICIOUS. The creaminess of the soup was phenomenal & the spice added a little kick but wasn't overwhelming. There were soo many toppings in this small bowl, 4 shrimps, tofu, fishie balls etc. They also really piled on the noodles except some ends of the noodles were uncooked and stuck together - so it came out hard and in chunks. I also got the milk tea which was okay. For $2.50 it is one of the cheaper MT's I've had in a while. The tea flavour was a little weak in comparison to my fave shop in Scarborough (Midland & Finch!). Overall, I'd be back to try other items on their menu (if I make it there on time). For my meal it came out to about $15 including tip! read more

There were a number of items to try that sounded delicious on their menu and at a reasonable price! We ordered the potato salad sandwich, the house special (pork with fried egg and PEANUT BUTTER!), and the Malaysian curry laksa. I thought the potato salad sandwich was just OK - it tasted like a sweet mushy potato salad sandwich. We took half of it home, and it actually tasted better the day after. Came here last weekend afternoon around 1pm and had to wait about 5-10 minutes for a table. The ordering process was quite interesting as you get to order using a dry erase marker and writing on a menu. We ended up ordering the house special sandwich along with the the Malaysian street style sandwich. The house special sandwich was very interesting as it was a savoury sandwich which added peanut butter as well. Oddly enough, the flavours really blended together well and tasted delicious. Didn't try it but saw about half the restaurant also eating the laksa which I heard is also very good. So probably going to try that my next time here. Ever since I've returned from Malaysia it has been a challenge finding a restaurant that can represent the authentic flavours of Malay laksa, and breakfast ING is doing it right! There Laksa is comparable to what I would eat daily in Kuala Lampur. Slightly rich, spicy accents of sambal paste all within a delicious coconut based broth. It's rare to find a Malaysian restaurant in the GTA, let alone one that serves authentic Malaysian breakfast. Because of its authenticity, I was excited to try this place ever since I saw that they had opened. Finally finding the time to come for brunch one day, I was able to get something small at a very reasonable price. The restaurant has a range of options, and caters different portions for different people's appetites. I ordered the original egg crepe roll, which was good, but nothing special. It's noticeable that they use a fair amount of oil to fry the roll, which is probably why it tasted good. I recommend getting one of the rolls with filling inside, which would definitely enhance the taste from the conventional original version. Although I did not have the best impression of the crepe roll, their sandwiches and noodle dishes all look good (not to mention that they are all reasonably priced, as well). The restaurant itself is very small, and can get filled up fast. Therefore, it might be wise to go during off-peak hours. The service is a mix between fast food and restaurant style, where you go up to the counter at the end to pay. There isn't much interaction with the staff, but that's to be expected at any busy, traditionally Asian restaurant. Verdict: Giving it a 4-star because of the fact that it's one of the first Malaysian spots in the GTA that I've found. I already had the Laksa and House sandwich locked on my radar and had a milk tea. Don't expect fast service as they are quite busy with people pouring in and probably numerous take out orders. So everything didn't come at once the milk tea flavor tasted great just as expected but was not hot enough just warm. The Laksa was good we had less spicey so it was just right but the noodles was a little soft. Best breakfast/snack spot in the area, imo. What I love about this place is that it's small, but they manage to make it bright & cozy. With that, it makes the food much more welcoming and appetizing. If you're here for the purpose of breakfastING, you'll feel so energized after your visit; step out that door and you'll feel like you're ready to take on the day! They've got an impressive array of breakfast staples down pat at very good prices. Tons of options including Western (HK) breakfast combos, sandwiches, rice, noodles, croquettes... they even offer homey Malaysian ROTI too, with curry chicken! Get here early (8:00-10:30 am) and you'll be rewarded with the Early Bird menu including drink. Whenever I'm in there area (very rarely), I always give this place a thought because it'll be unfortunate not to eat here if I had the chance to. I've updated my review because I didn't realize I never tried their Malaysian choices, which is ironic. This is one of a few places in Mississauga that offer it, but taste is pretty spot on. Favourites include the Malaysian Laksa, Bah Kut Teh (herb infused meat) Noodles, Street Style Sandwich. They have lots of other interesting options like French Toast with Kaya spread, Malaysian Curry, etc. Overall lots of different options to try. I also had their Egg Crepes, which were tasty but a bit pricy for the portion. Signature Milk Tea also very tasty. The only thing I tried and would not reorder is the Potato Croquette given the price for size, and the Minced Meat/Fish Ball Noodle Soup (given how flavorful the other noodles they have are). While I wouldn't consider this the cheapest breakfast/brunch option, it certainly is still filling and affordable (less than $10 for most entrees) Also good variety and unique with the various Malaysian based dishes offered. Casual environment makes it nice and unassuming for a table of 2-4. It can get quite busy however. Now that I have revisited, this will be on one of my top breakfast/lunch places to come back to or hangout with visiting guests or friends. read more

I would say if you would like to change the menu for your breakfast or brunch from these typical Timmy, McDonalds or Cora, this restaurant is absolutely a good choice. As a small boutique break and brunch restaurant, it has its own footprint in Mississauga. The items on the menu are special. If I remember correctly, they change their menu once a while which is great for people who would like to try something new often. I don't have any critque for this place since it's very unique in terms of its offering. The only area that I think can be stretched is its pricing compared to its quantity for each item. This place is categorized as a one-money sign. It is right to a degree that each item is fairly cheap. So I've gone back a few times since my last review and the only thing I get is the curry laksa. IT IS SO GOOD. You have a choice between vermicelli noodles and noodles which is basically udon. I personally don't like vermicelli so I always get udon. The only thing that I'm a little picky about is that the noodles aren't that chewy.. and I think it should be a little. Regardless it's still good my favourite part is the soup and the bean curd thing in it. The soup base is so creamy and it's packed with a lot of flavour. The bean curd just tastes good after the soup seeps into it haha. Portions are pretty big for this bowl and it's $9.50 I think - not including any drinks. All drinks are separate. This laksa comes with 2 pieces of shrimp, and I don't like seafood so I usually give them away to my boyfriend :). There isn't a seafood smell to it either so that's a huge plus for me. When I came on a Sunday I saw a new menu.. think they're starting to serve toast now! That's something I'd like to try next time. read more

If somedays you're just like me and you're just craving a sandwich (as simple as they are) then you should absolutely come to breakfast-ing. It's a small but cute place for some simple but delicious eats. And it's a totally new concept, I'm not really sure how many Malaysian styled breakfast places are around. We managed to try two of the sandwiches here. The Malaysian street style sandwich and the house special sandwich. Oh boy, were they hefty. Both were tasty and features the sweet HK square style bread. The house special featured a pork loin with a hint of peanut butter. Whereas the Malaysian one had two beef patties seasoned with Malaysian spices (couldn't taste them however) and a sweet Thai like chili sauce to compliment it. Both sandwiches could have featured more sauce to bring more harmony and togetherness into the sandwich. I was also genuinely impressed by the green onion pancake. It was super crisp and I really enjoyed the sweet chili sauce that came with it. The meat floss and the corn was also a good combination. Located in a shopping plaza with lots of parking, this tiny cafe serves a good selection of Malaysian and Singaporean dishes. We had the kaya french toast and it was delicious! We also ordered some drinks for the table, and they were good as well. For those with lactose intolerance, their milk tea made with soy milk is super yummy! It's rare that milk tea is made with soy milk, but it brings a nice flavour to the drink. The food is 5 stars, but the customer service was rather rotten, hence the 2 stars. We ordered 4 drinks with a nice waitress wearing black rimmed glasses, specifically telling her that we need a soy milk milk tea because I can't have dairy. A few minutes later, a taller lady, the one who was wearing a face mask making drinks at the counter, came and dropped off all the drinks, except none of them had soy in it. So we let her know that we ordered a drink with soy. She went back to the counter, grabbed the menu that the first waitress marked up with our order, and then pointed to how we ordered five drinks for four people and that we made a mistake! When we told her that we didn't mark up the menu or write anything on the order she was showing us, and that if she could please remake the drink because I can't have dairy, she said, in a rude voice, "It's none of my business!" and stomped off like a child. We were so surprised by the rudeness! We flagged down the first waitress and she corrected the order for us (though we still needed her to correct the final bill at the end). Not sure if she was having a miserable day or what, but please don't take it out on your customers! I've had much better service getting drinks at Starbucks and Tim Horton's, so please treat your customer with some respect. read more

I have been in the complex many times but never found this restaurant. First time here, we were happy to see the food not expensive at all. So we ordered 2 sandwiches, 1 rice,1 noodles, 1toast and 2 milk tea. Taiwanese sausage sandwich was my favourite. The bread was crispy, the sauce was so tasty and it made super delicious combination with the veggies and meat. I was like "wow, so good" when I took the first bite. But then when I had the Malaysian street style sandwich , which most people said yummy, I fell disappointed. Not sure if it was the first sandwich tasted too good or what, not much flavour even though you could see the big slice meat in it. Malaysian curry chicken with rice, Emm... it's all right. It's not big portion, 8 dollars you get a few potatoes and 3 pieces of chicken soaking in the extra watery curry. And some rice covered with a fried egg. I should say it's a good price. But I won't reorder it. Bah kut teh noodles..noodles were soft without much flavour. The soup, sorry, I had better in Singapore and in Malaysia. I had too much expectation before I tried this, because so many reviews say it was good. I would like to say, it was good, but not that good. And it tasted the same as the packed bah kut teh my friend gave me. I highly recommend Signature milk tea and sandwiches.. this place is more like hk style. I was wrong to think it was Malaysian. And I was wrong to order the peanut butter toast. But I will definitely come here again, for the sandwiches and milk tea. read more

3.5 stars. Went here for brunch recently with my fiancé. Upon our arrival we were seated at a table that was still dirty but our server cleaned it and had apologized. We ordered a few items: the clay pot "bah-kut-teh" with rice, house special sandwich, shrimp burger and French toast with kaya (Malaysian coconut jam) spread. My fiancé absolutely loved the bah-kut-teh which was essentially their take on a pork bone soup, hearty and flavourful. The house special sandwich was good as it was a combination of pork loin, tomato, egg, cabbage and peanut butter. The pork was soft and the peanut butter went well with everything. The shrimp burger was one of my favorites as it consisted of a shrimp patty, potato salad, cabbage and tomatoes. I've never had potato salad in a burger before but it added a nice creaminess to it. Finally, we had their french toast with kaya spread. This was our first time trying kaya and it tasted like a sweet coconut honey spread but not too sweet. The food here is good and I would definitely come back but the service is spotty. Aside from the dirty table, our server did not ask us if we wanted any drinks and did not even serve us water until we flagged her down. She also brought out our food without any utensils until we asked her as well. read more

Found "breakfast ing" while looking up restaurants that were open on Canada Day. Yes, they are open on stat holidays! When we arrived, they were already busy in the late afternoon. You will find this is a small dine-in restaurant meant to seat a party of 1-4 guests. The staff are super friendly. We were provided with laminated menus and a whiteboard marker. The menu was interestingly a fusion of ingredients creating various egg rolls and sandwiches to choose from. However, we were there for the noodle soup. Not sure if noodle soup is a breakfast thing in other parts of the world. We were starving so for sure we wanted the Malaysian Curry Laksa (found on its own separate menu). That did not disappoint! It was my first time having Laksa, so I can't compare it to other Laksa. You can choose between the thick noodle or vermicelli. I prefer thick noodles with soup as this is a comfort food for me. I am coming back here for the Laksa! We also had two sandwiches for the "buy one, get one 50% off" Canada Day promotion. The sandwiches are made of 3 layers of milk toast (the one from T&T/Oceans). Maybe I don't like sandwiches as much as I thought I did, but we weren't a huge fan of it. We ordered the House Special Sandwich (HSS) and Malaysian Street Style Sandwich (MSS). I don't know how the pork loin house special recipe tastes like in the HSS, because all I tasted was peanut butter. If you love peanut butter choose the HSS. The MSS ground beef patty tasted like the McDoubles at McDonald's. Not very appetizing because it was quite dry. Made me felt like I was eating a burger with milk toast. Many other customers ordered the sandwiches and seem to enjoyed it. We washed down our meal with a cup of their signature milk tea, nothing too special. I would pair this with their breakfast options. Note: You may leave this place carrying a scent of food as it is a open kitchen where they make the food in the same room.
