I came in for a removal and a regular manicure ($32) since I can't keep gel on due to work. I had only gotten Gel X here once, after having strong, natural nails for almost a year. During the removal, I was told my nails were very thin and that the streaks I noticed were not leftover gel, but due to the condition of my nails. This was surprising to hear, especially since my nails were healthy prior to that visit. I also paid for a regular manicure, but my cuticles weren't addressed until I pointed it out my concerns. At that point, I didn't feel comfortable bringing up concerns about the nail shape as well. I kind of feel ripped off, which isn't a nice feeling. I'm not someone who likes to be confrontational, and I usually leave satisfied even if they aren't perfect, but this visit unfortunately left a bad impression. I hope this feedback is helpful, as I do think the team is kind--I just wish they treated me the same when I came in for a removal as when I come in for a mani/pedi gel set.

She is super kind, efficient, and professional when taking X rays and assisting with dental care. That's especially appreciated when you're getting those X rays we all love so much. LOL! Somehow, she even makes that part easy. And Lina is simply the best dental hygienist I've ever had. She is absolutely spectacular at what she does. She's efficient, fast, incredibly thorough, and has tremendous attention to detail. Most importantly, she always makes you feel comfortable and well cared for. My entire family will continue coming here for as long as they accept our insurance, which I certainly hope they always do! You simply cannot go wrong with this dental office. Everyone here provides exceptional care and professionalism, and I truly believe Olive Family Dentistry sets a standard that other dental offices should strive to follow. I'm 62 years old. This is the single time I left a studio without leaving a tip…read more The studio was empty when I arrived. I requested manicure, gel x fill, gel polish and gel pedicure. The woman who did my pedicure was not as bad, though all she did was the toes. Didn't tell me the rest of a pedicure such as callous remover, etc was extra (normal) and didn't suggest she do it. I'd have paid if she had. She never did. She also had trouble getting my nails straight and, despite my asking specifically for the nails to be squared, she angled my big toenail in a weird way and when she tried to fix it, ended up rounding out. She was hurting me so I stopped her and just fixed it best I could when I got home. The fingernail tech kept hurting me with her electronic nail file. Either burning or scraping the skin, I yelped at least five times and she kept doing it. I was bleeding in two places, she didn't notice. I also had long nails and when she asked if I wanted them shorter, I said just a bit as you're fixing them. They're now a third shorter than before. She also had long hair that kept getting stuck in my wet nail gel. Also left polish on my fingers. Overall a sloppy, painful experience that left me feeling they were in a hurry even though no one else was asking for service until just before I left. Oddly, though my fingernails are shorter than I'd like, they look lovely. So I suppose you have to decide how much you're willing to suffer for beauty? I won't be going back.

Tomoko Spa is located on a very busy street, but you forget all that as soon as you step inside. They do a really great job of creating a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The experience starts with a 15 min foot soak/massage, and that already was divine. The masseuse puts the perfect amount of pressure, and that combined with the warm water, almost put me to sleep, haha. For the body massage part, the masseuse asks you what parts you want focused on and how much pressure you would like. They are also really good at checking in at various parts of the massage to make sure you are completely satisfied. I really appreciated how thorough they are with the massage and also how proactive they are in making sure you are enjoying the experience. At the end of the massage, we were given hand-whisked matcha tea to drink, and they also provided us jelly, a handwritten note, and a rose to celebrate our anniversary :) We had such a lovely experience, and I cannot recommend this place enough, whether to celebrate a special occasion, or just to treat yourself! ** If you book a couple's massage, they provide complimentary parking in the lot next to the spa, otherwise there's paid street parking or parking garages available nearby

Wow! this place is fabulous. I really love massages because they always just good hurt, when your body needed a massage badly. My regular place closed and i have been looking for a new Thai massage place for over a years so 6 months ago I go with my freinds to check it out then we just love this place. The place is small, cozy, very clean and quiet. Sometime I asked for the lightest pressure massage they offered,but sometime I love the combination here , it was amazing! they was very exellent and took special care not to overwork my injured shoulder. It felt so good to have my muscles stretched with steady pressure, I've never had someone stand on me before and now I kinda like it...The room all PRIVATE ROOM. They heat the oil they use and the room is very warm so your muscles are really loose when they are done. I and couple of freinds have been getting Thai massages forever. All of us was a very happy camper after we found this place. We become regular costomer more then 6 months. This is the best massage thet we ever have. Most of massuse here are very good looking and beatiful. Especially, Lisa , Amy, Sonya , Kathy and Palmy. I got the massage from all of them. Look like they only choose the best for good looking and best massage. They all have good personality. I just fall in love this place and can't wait until friday. They offer you all kind of teas, cool water, cappucino, latte or Thai Ice tea ( this is the best one they brew fresh every day) with some snack. when you are finished which was really nice. We went to eat sushi their or rocky fish. Then we go to get a nice massage from CHABA every friday after dinner, this is a really great massage place and very convenient to get to. The ONLY complaint I have is that I didn't try them sooner. DAMN ME!!! I've been able to get massages regularly, but I will say that I have experienced enough massage to know (and feel) the difference between good and bad massage and what constitutes an AMAZING massage.CHABAl is easily the best massage in Burbank. A truly personalized experience. $85 plus tip gets you an AMAZING 90 minute massage in a PRIVATE ROOM not like many place that use curtain and you have to listen to next room all hour.. Overhead costs are kept low so you don't have to pay for an unnecessary receptionist. By the way, Lisa is reception. she is freindly. They have their own blends of essential oils for aromatherapy. I'm normally not a fan, but it's so well-integrated into the massage that I could really feel the benefits. Once inside, you're met with a tranquil décor. The place is tiny, but decorated to inspire relaxation. I'm not a fan of four walls and white paint. Reminds too much of a hospital room. So décor is important to me. I was met by Jessia. I liked that she asked me what type of massage I would like and any areas I wanted her to focus on. So cool. After 90 minutes, I was given exactly what I wanted. I also the received the mini facial treatment, which was great for my face. I'm a massage expert and I do know that I felt awesome afterwards. Fabulous massage, lovely little spot....and WAY cheaper than a fancy-pants place. PLUS - open seven days - for those of us who need a massage 'cause we never have time! read more

Incredible and amazing is all we can say. After receiving a gift certificate to CHABA Massage for our anniversary my wife and I went there this past Sunday for what proved to be the Day of our life. The Spa is fabulous, the services are just perfect and the place has a magic to it that is hard to describe. I cannot thank the staff enough for helping us choose the perfect services with their compliment of amazing technicians including ROSE and AMY. We are hooked and will be regular customers. Over the years, I've spent of time seeking the perfect massage at the perfect price. Not only that, I wanted to find a place that truly cared about me as a client, and would pay attention to my specific health needs. I also wanted to find a place that had heart and soul, and wasn't another ... or one of those places where I've felt like a small dog in the all-too-huge LA massage machine. Once I found CHABA I realized my search was over. While not having any familarity with the body workers that first time, I happened to get . What a lucky day that was Amy and Rose . I've been going to her ever since . She's extremely courteous and knowledgeable. She can also bring a smile to the face of those in the worst of pain. So what are you waiting for? One word... Awesome! Previous to enlightenment I thought the only place you could get a decent massage was at a place that charged over $100 to pay for pretentious lobbies and changing rooms with plasma TV's and leather couches. At chaba they serve banana, chocolate a cup of green tea or thai ice tea. Yes this place lacks luxury and ambiance, but look at it this way, for 95% of your time you either have your eyes closed or are staring at the floor. The staff alone deserves 5 stars for their commitment to superior customer service. On to the massage. Tina was my masseuse. She was attentive, consulting with me on my aches and preferences down to what type of music I preferred. She was engaged, but not talkative, methodical, but not robotic, all of which resulted in the perfect recession massage session. This was probably one of the best massages I've received in my life. And all this without the pish-posh "spa" atmosphere. No, I don't want to take an unnecessary shower in your huge, scary, cold shower room. I don't want to put on your robe. Really. I just want to feel good. Chaba thai spa totally delivered. I'll definitely be going back. By the way, I saw The Game (Jayceon) get massage here all the time. read more

Absolutely one of the most relaxing spa experiences I've had.I got massage with Jasmin, who is very friendly and professional, and a genuinely warm and wonderful person. She communicates very well, and would ask questions to see how I was feeling and if there was anything I specifically wanted to work on that day. She always started the session by offering me a glass of water or hot tea. She had many different massage techniques. um, yeah. this was the best massage i've ever had in my life. for 85 bucks. i had a full-body massage in a very relaxing, private and quiet environment from a beautiful lady. she used all different types of massage, focused a lot on my upper back where, like a previous reviewer, i tend to get fucked. man, i just loved the whole thing. maybe the place wasn't super luxurious, but the feeling of the massage definitely was. I love Jasmin, Jessica and Sonya. I become a regular client here. Jasmin is very strong, Jessica has the best swedish i ever had. Sonya is the perfect combination. It's great!! Yup, that's all you need to know :) The girls and I heart getting massages, especially really good ones at really good price and I think we found our next fav here! We used to go to a foot massage place all the time in Koreatown for $20 foot massages, worth the money? YES, but the place looked like a sweat shop in 1960s, which is probably why they closed down :( We went to Chaba with the 90 minute chaba combo massage. I did not want her to stop even after an hour and a half! When she was massaging my shoulders, she felt it was VERY tight and spent a lot of time on it. It was amazing. Of course it did hurt a bit but I have A LOT of knots there. Even after she spent so much time on it, I still had a few that just wouldn't work itself out! Args! I love how they cover your face when you turn onto your back so it's not so awkward about whether or not you should be opening your eyes to look?? hahah It's really a great establishment. I love the decor, people, ambiance, anything and everything you'd want in a massage place! ^__^ If I lived in the area, I'd be back more often! =D read more

Hard to believe that it has been a DECADE since my first review, but I am back in the hood and a regular client once again at Chaba. Honestly I have never had a bad experience with any of the massages here over the years (which is saying a lot as I am often disappointed at other places, including 4-5* hotel resorts and pricey day spas) which is why I keep coming back to Chaba. Yes it is small with just a few private rooms but it is the same reason that I like it. No matter how I feel walking in, I know that I will be practically floating out when I leave. My current favs are Snow and Sara whereas my BFF swears by Bo and Kat (she's more deep tissue and I'm looking for more Swedish to medium pressure) so it's best to say what you are looking for when you book so that you can be matched accordingly. My highest recommendation is that I spent my actual birthday at Chaba and indulged in several hours of bodywork. Best "me time" and birthday pampering ever! So glad that I found Chaba years ago and cannot wait until my next massage. Thanks for the memories Chaba! read more

The price is right, the vibe is right, the service is right! Need I say more? Go and go quickly because once you have been you'll be asking yourself why you didn't find this place sooner. This is a great place and I will definitely refer/go back.The best way to describe this place is a mini spa. It has all the perks and amenities of a major spa (except for the jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, and sleep room). Otherwise, there's no real difference - there are showers, tea, apples, water, towels, bathrobes, slippers, q-tips. The place is a litle small so you might want to stop by on a slow day (not the weekend). The neighborhood is not trendy and it's not a 'scene' but it is a nice location and may soon be a trendy destination, who knows? . oh my! I chose the swedish massage and It's so relaxing when I left.Did I mention the prices? So I found this place because I was gifted a 60 min massage off Living social. Initially I was hesitant trying out someone new, but I had Vicki for my massage and she was amazing ! The reason I give only 4 stars is because in the times since that I've been back(about 5 times) I have had a lot of issues with the front desk staff. Lots of miscommunication in general - twice it was not mentioned to my masseuse that I paid for an extra 30 min. So my most recent visit I had planned to be my last. Emily at the front desk COMPLETELY changed my mind upon first speaking with her. She was helpful in changing my appointment time to earlier in the day, she had a note that I had a coupon for that extra 30 min (since it wasn't done last time) & she even gave me the groupon price for all my trouble!! From now on I will only come on Sat & Sun before 3pm when she is working. I can't remember the name of the woman who most recently massaged me but she was great too!!! read more

Cant wait to go back. Simply incredible!!! I adore this place. I've had so many massages there. All of the therapists are so talented and kind, its hard to recommend just one . The atmosphere is sooo cozy and clean, i could live there. I dont know what else to say , words can't do it justice, its something you just have to try for yourself! All i can say is describe what you're looking for over the phone, and trust the staff, they know how to place you with a therapist of your dreams. Chaba Spa is great. Not fancy, but worth the price. Everyone was fantastic! I'll recommend her every time.. My experience was pleasent and the staff were very nice. The place is simple, but the overall feel of the environment was calming. I had the Chaba Combo massage which felt similar to a thai and Deep Tissue massage which was great for my over-worked muscles after a hard workout. I went straight home to an epsom salt bath. You guys weren't lying! I just had the best massage....possibly ever. Granted, I've had too many swedish massages in the past, but am definitely sticking to Combo Thai-swedish massages from now on. It felt amazing. I told my masseuse where it hurt most (because she asked) before we began, and she worked long and HARD on those spots. It was much needed. A little painful at times, but I wanted the knots gone so I let her do her thing. I love all the stretches they make you do....even though I'm hardly flexible. The therapists are all very polite, good at their massage and also have great customer service skills. The place is extremely clean and they have relaxing music playing. The private rooms are nice, dimly lit, and comfortable.most place are curtains. I couldn't hear anyone else in the place throughout my entire massage. AND, at the end, they give you many chice of drink and offer snack or fruit! How perfect? I will definitely be back! read more

I'm a massage therapist in Santa Monica. My friend had referred me to Chaba Thai Spa in Burbank. Recently, I have been back to Burbank several times to visit my friend. The Best thing we do together is go to Chaba. I have worked with Tina, East and the last time with Rita. They are all excellent. The massages I have had here are all thorough and deep, and their technique is very sophisticated. I love this space so much. It's a beautiful and peaceful urban sanctuary. They do excellent Thai Swedish combination massage with oil. But I prefer to get a massage without oil so they did Traditional Thai for me, pressure points and stretching that made me feel like I was doing yoga. I love the stretching part because it really helps me to increase range of motion. I know why they call it lazy mans yoga. I definitely will come back again. My mother and I came here for her every week. It's a women day when my dad enjoy sport on t.v. I have been to several places. This has been by far the BEST massage treatment. i have ever received. I had chaba combo massage. The oil passage i received was also THE BEST i have ever gotten and i get massages at least 1 time a week. Ive been to all the famous spas, but after coming here, this will be the only place i will get my massage. ALSO! my mom said of the 30 years she s been getting massages this by far the best shes experienced. My mother has been to spas ALL over the world, so you can imagine the quality of the massage. The thai ice tea and chocolate afterwards hit the spot! we had the most amazing time, and it will be a good memories that will never forget for our time that we can find what we both like and do it together every weekend. By far one of the best and most professional Thai Massage spas in Los Angeles. Every time I go to Chaba thai spa. I enjoy my massage so much I think about coming back before it's even over. I also almost always have a different person and even though they sometimes have different styles they are all so good. Very professional and efficient. Most often I walk in with out an appointment and have only ever had to wait about 10 minutes tops to be seen. I have to say it was HEAVEN! The therapist was very strong (I like hard pressure) and focused on my problem areas (shoulders and upper back). I loved the stretching as well - very refreshing and helpful part of the massage that I don't typically get at other massage places. The place is clean and quiet. Parking is free. Plus, you also get the card, which they will stamp it for you, that you can get a free massage when you have 10 stamps. Highly recommended! read more

I love Chaba Thai Spa! $59 for a full body massage and they make same day appointments! They have a parking lot, but there is also plenty of street parking on the side street to the strip mall. All therapists here are great masseuse for massage. I always get Chaba combo. I get a lot of knots in my my back, neck, and shoulders that sometimes cause a sharp pinching pain. She goes after every single knot until I'm kink free. I'm so relieved after his massages I sometimes have a hard time staying awake afterward. I've been Chaba for over 2 years now and Chaba has been able to leave me knot-free. My sister, (she's a massage therapist in S.F) come to Chaba every time she is in town! I had a lot of back pain last week and decided to get a massage. I was sore the day after the massage but after that my back pain was GONE. I am like a new woman. Thank you Chaba! read more

My wife and I just finished moving into the area from San Jose and all the heavy boxes up and down the stairs did a number on our backs! We drove by one day and decided to try out Chaba Thai Spa. Luckily they didn't have any appointments at the time so my wife got in real quick. The place is clean, its got a very serene calming vibe to it. My wife and I liked the atmosphere very much. I had the 90min deep tissue massage and my wife opted for the hot stone. I was very pleased with the communication from the masseuse, she had very soft hand but applied generous amounts of pressure to relieve the strain and knots in my back! My wife said that her masseuse was just as pleasant and that she really enjoyed the hot stones on her back. Apparently there are groupon deals for this location, I just checked but couldn't find any, Ill definitely keep an eye out for the next one! read more

I saw Al, Chutima ans Rita throughout my entire pregnancy, from beginning to end, about twice a month. i always left her feeling relaxed, centered and with less tension. I really believe she helped me have a great, easier pregnancy . They are very talented healer and therapists. I felt safe in her hands. I also have been back for treatments since I gave birth. Al and Chutima treated me while my baby was napping on my chest. I would highly recommend her, pregnant or not! By the way, If you are pregnant make sure you ket reception know when you make an appointment then they will set up with the best therapist. it was a WONDERFUL experience. I thoroghly enjoyed the experience and feel like I benefited although I don't have any pre-existing medical conditions. I feel limber, light and so relaxed. I slept oooh so good last night. I Walked in Chaba without an appointment. I got combo massage here. I've been getting massages for years in NYC. While some were more memorable and productive than others, none compared to this excellent first visit. I do believe the Thai technique is far superior and consider myself converted. The Thai style seems to involve a wider variety of moves to work out the tension in your hips and spine. Though I was sore the day after, the massage was effective.The massage I had here was as good as a far more expensive one offered at the Burke William spa chain. And the overall comfort factor, decor-wise, is better than that of other budget places with which I'm familiar. They changed the sheet with every massage which was a definite plus. I highly recommend Chaba for the best massage. But, don't eat before a massage...probably not the best thing to do : ) read more

To summarize ... as authentic as can be! This place offers the best Thai and swedish massage in the burbank area. lady who can heal you and the soreness go away. She steps on my back and does yoga as a form of massage and it works....IT REALLY WORKS! Hands down THE SUPERB BEST! I've never had so much satisfaction in massages. They're wonderfully nice. Don't let their petite size fool you though. I was knelt on, sat on, stood on, and gently bent into a pretzel...to stretch and activate muscles that have been neglected at other places. Although it sounds brutal, it is the most creative and relaxing massage ever! They don't mess around and are genuinely nice. The unique minty oil balm made the smell so tantalizing too. I have been going to Chaba for several years and they offers an amazing, healing massage. I first went there after doctors told me that the only option for my hip pain was a hip replacement. Therapist worked on my legs and hips and discovered that a tendon in my thigh was responsible for the pain. After several months of weekly massages, I was pain free and had full range of movement in my hip and leg. A similar miraculous story occurred for me after a car accident and stalling out in physical therapy. My massages at Chaba helped me over the hump and enabled me to greatly reduce my residual back and neck pain. The massages can be painful at times but produce unbelievable results. I would highly recommend Chaba for anyone that has pain or anyone that wants incredible muscle relief. Chaba is a miracle worker! read more

I normally visit another massage establishment, but I wanted to try somewhere closer to home. I found Healthy Body Spa on Groupon offering a 75-minute full-body massage with hot stones and a body scrub for $66.76. I called beforehand, and they agreed to honor the promotional price directly, which I appreciated! Upon arriving, the establishment looked nice, and check-in was straightforward. The receptionist who assisted me also ended up being my massage therapist, which was unexpected but not necessarily a problem. She brought me into a double treatment room, although I would've preferred a private room. Before starting, I explained the areas I wanted her to focus on: my shoulders, back, and lower back. Unfortunately, the massage itself wasn't what I expected. Although I believe I received the full 75 minutes, the therapist's movements felt extremely quick and rushed. I'm accustomed to slower, smoother techniques that allow the body to relax. There were also moments when the pressure was genuinely painful. When I asked her to lighten up, she seemed irritated by my requests. I can't speak to what she was thinking, but that's how the interaction felt. At one point, I questioned whether I even wanted to continue. Thankfully, she eventually adjusted the pressure, and things became more comfortable. Now, credit where it's due! The hot stones were one of the better parts of the experience. She incorporated them throughout my body more extensively than I've experienced elsewhere, which I appreciated. However, there were moments when she pressed them too firmly against bony areas. The body scrub was also a first for me! LOL. It felt unusual initially, but I did find parts of it relaxing. What disappointed me further was how the experience ended. I normally take a moment after a massage to thank the therapist and express my appreciation. Despite everything, I still wanted to end positively. Unfortunately, her response was essentially, "Okay, yeah, bye. Have a good day," with very little acknowledgment or eye contact. I'm not expecting special treatment, but a little warmth and attentiveness go a long way, especially after an uncomfortable experience. I also usually take photos when visiting new places. I arrived about five minutes before my appointment, so I planned to take some afterward. However, given how the experience went, I honestly just wanted to leave. As for value, I paid approximately $67. While that's a reasonable promotional price for the services advertised, a discount doesn't automatically make an experience worthwhile. If you're considering visiting, I'd recommend checking Groupon for available promotions and confirming the price before booking. I can't speak for the other therapists, and your experience may be different. But personally, I wouldn't return. I'd rather drive the additional 15-20 minutes to my regular massage spot, where I've consistently received more relaxing and attentive service. For me, a massage should leave you feeling refreshed, comfortable, and cared for. Unfortunately, this one didn't.

My favorite part of the entire massage was actually the compressions she did at the beginning. I'd say she spent a good 15-20 minutes just doing compressions. It felt amazing. Exactly what my body needed. The deep tissue work was also spot on. Deep enough to feel effective without crossing that line into being unnecessarily painful, which, in my professional opinion, is the perfect balance for a therapeutic massage. I'm genuinely grateful to my therapist and kicking myself for not remembering her name. She did an excellent job, and I left feeling so much better. Will definitely be back. Thank you, Zensai Spa.

Which is about 5or 6 curtain style rooms. Would have been nice to know that it was singles. Massage wise: I had the deep tissue and noc definitely earned her tip. I have an extremely tense back and prefer a harder style and when her fingers couldn't get in there, she asked if I wanted her to step on my back. I accepted and she was extremely delicate and gradual on applying pressure which was really nice. My girlfriend got the Swedish because she has a sensitive back. She was able to adjust pressure and liked the kneading pressure. It was right down the middle for her experience wise. Price: The menu that says 60-70 (a month ago) on here Is old and it's now 70-80. So that was shocking. Overall: She wished for better rooms and ambience and you can definitely hear the other patrons. Good if you're in the area and don't mind that.

This is not massage envy or Brooke Williams in which the masseuses there would have probably been content with a $20 tip. I don't care how much they get paid nor is it my responsibility to pay their wages if they're not getting paid enough. $60 base ans $20 tip is more than sufficient for the service provided. If you're going to be paying 90-100$ for a massage, do yourself a favor and go to a legit massage spot like Massage Envy and get your moneys worth in service & customer service as well. My massage was completely useless as I was overcame with anger and became more irritated than when I had walked in.
