H16 Mango Latte with Agar Boba
    Cindy Z.

At this point I'm basically a regular here. There's is so many refreshing drinks to choose from but my all-time favorite is the mango latte with agar boba and coconut milk, it's seriously perfection. Smooth, refreshing, not too sweet, and they use real mango pieces which makes such a difference. I treat myself to this almost every other week and it never disappoints. The staff is always nice, and you can tell they make everything fresh (sometimes it takes a little longer, but honestly worth the wait). The shop itself is super cute and cozy, with plenty of seating. Also love that they stay open late, it's perfect for study nights or just hanging out. Definitely one of my favorite go-to spots!! Give it a try!

2x B.1 Puff Cream Boba Milk Tea (50% Ice, 100% Sugar). $6.50 Each. Very satisfying.

This place wins on so many levels. First, they're open late on most days, which is a huge consideration for those of us stay up all night. Secondly, you can order from a tablet without having to talk to anyone - great feature for introverts. That said, the staff is friendly and professional when they bring you your food. Thirdly, the food and beverages actually seem to be quite good, and there is a pretty huge menu to choose from. The seating areas appear clean. Lastly, they have a few decks of cards that you can borrow during your stay, should you wish to play some card games with your companions as you wait for (and/or consume) your food/beverages (or conversely, play solitaire by yourself). P.S. There is a parking lot in front. My luck with finding a spot there has not been 100%, but I've been averaging a 2/3 chance of getting one thus far. Also, they may seem a bit understaffed at times, so I'd not necessarily expect the fastest service in the universe. Still worth giving this place at least 1 try.

Crème Brulee Crepe ( Custard Only or Fruit with Custard )

The perk of this place is that it is open late hours and has some cards to play with. There are some tables but minimal & plain. You order through a kiosk & I ordered a Creme Brulee Crepe w/ fruits & the top (creme brulee part) was good. Fruit added nice tart but lack some more juice/ripeness? The crepe texture and flavor also did not sell it for me. It was kind of soggy so I was disappointed. Towards the end, the taste got tiring. I wouldn't get it again, bc Ive just had better elsewhere. I would recommend trying to improve the recipe!

So like I'm totally a night owl and places that open late always win my patronage. First it was Sun Nong Dan and now Cha Express... These two locations have drawn me away from fast food at night. First just the owner alone makes me really love this place. Steven has a great personality, cares whether you love his drinks and food.. this is already my 2nd visit in a week and because of its popularity it's almost impossible to get the crepe late a night. Personally I come here now for the Champion Milk Tea which has red bean, boba, pudding, and grass jelly along with Yunnan tea makes a nice strong milk tea that I now crave for. Also tried the Portuguese egg tarts which are made pippin' hot made to order with a crispy crust and great filling. The location is super chill with a few outlets should you feel to make camp here with your laptop and live here for a night. Yes it's got a few of those outlet hogs that think they live here lol. Love the atmosphere, the reward program, and the service will be back again soon! BTW I just discovered their food selection.... Good God they have a ton of food on the menu. Will be back for it soon!

Portugues Style Egg Tart (5) so hot and fresh and the shell is flakey crispy

Just tried this place for the first time recently. The menu of drinks, desserts, and food is just ridiculously extensive. Pair that with being open until 2am every day except Monday and Tuesday and we have a late night wonderland. The owner Steven was running the place both times we came. He's very friendly, helpful, and super busy! DRINKS: Milk teas, fruit teas, fresh milks, slushes and more with a plethora of toppings options and the ability to customize everything. I love the mango pomelo sago slush and the strawberry milk so far. The milk was perfection with so much chunky strawberry sauce. I've found that at 50% sweetness, the drinks are still rather sweet. My husband loves the champion milk tea that comes packed with grass jelly, boba, and egg pudding. FOOD: From baked mussels to croissant sandwiches to Taiwanese popcorn chicken to egg waffles and crepes. It's going to take me quite some time to eat through this menu. So far had the egg tart egg waffles (every bubble has a piece of egg custard inside!) and the Portuguese egg tarts that take 20 minutes baked fresh piping hot and flakey. Highly recommended! I'm still looking forward to having fruit crepes here. So far they keep running out. AMBIENCE: Inside it's pretty simple tables and chairs with a window counter. Its pretty quiet and chill with some people that seem to live here.

This place is AMAZING! The food is really, really good and the prices are just as great. I got the baked mussels with cheese perfectly cooked, super flavorful, and so satisfying. Then I tried the matcha creme brulee crepe, and it was on another level They even let you add as many fruits as you like for free! The worker here is incredibly nice and really tries his best to satisfy every customer, even though he's working alone. I've been in that position before, so I truly appreciate the effort and dedication he puts into making everyone's experience great. You can tell he cares about the quality of the food and the service. Highly recommend :))

Super lovely place!! The staff is so friendly and works so late, great people yummy food, great late night Asian snacks

There was only one gentleman working but he was so kind, bringing our crepes directly to us as we were waiting and thanked us as we were leaving. The crepes were made to order. Adding fruit was free. It was cool to have a matcha crème brûlée crepe option at a boba shop.

My boyfriend and I needed a pick-me-up after working late, and we are so glad to find Cha Express open late at night - till 1 am on most nights for workholics like us. My tired brain must have forgotten that I live in the 626 area because my Aloe Lemon Tea 满杯香柠 totally surprised me on how great it was and served me a fresh dose of energy. I also got a Hong Kong Egg Waffle because late night calories don't count (right), and it was great! The waffle is made fresh to order and you can even smell the sweetness in the air which makes the cafe soooo cozy. Ny boyfriend got their Jasmine Green Tea 茉莉绿茶 and said it was made very well, too. The 12 am shift team members really know how to make their teas and were also so friendly and nice. As a fellow night owl, I had a great experience, I can't wait to go back and try more things! I see their menu has a lot more drink options and also a cream Brulee crepe, egg tarts, popcorn chicken, and more! To all the fellow night owls, nocturnal folks, and midnight dreamers, flok here to get your extra energy boost to power through the night. I'll most definitely be back soon.

I've been here late at night a few times. The teas are mediocre. The staffs are nice and they serve to your table. Interior: Could use an update but it's doable Pro: This place opens late and serves food and snacks

If you're looking for a chill place to study, you need to come here! They are open late hours and have a wide selection of drink and food. Ive been coming here for a year already and have never ran into any issues. Many outlets are available but parking is sometimes packed. The owner is really kind hearted and never fails to meet peoples needs and will sometimes go as far as offering loyal customers free refills. If you plan on coming here definitely try the match creme brûlée crepe and the Hong Kong style lemon tea and the Hong Kong style egg waffle !! Overall 10/10 experience!

Mango Sago Pomelo with Crystal Boba
    Winn H.

Parking and ordering at Cha Express was quite easy with the self service kisok, and I went with their S1 Mango Sago Pomelo with Crystal Boba. The ambiance here was quite relaxed for a weekday night and a nice place to chill or chat. The Mango Sago Pomelo was tasty, but the Crystal Boba felt a tad random with this drink in terms of texture and taste as it did not mesh well. The drink was quite sweet, but the crystal boba was on the plainer side. Outside of the drink, the tables in the seating area had a hint of dirty. Maybe this it was a misfortune that there is a bush and dirt around the corner of the restaurant, but this was confirmed with a couple flies and a cricket on the floor.

Umm idk if they are short staffed right now, but I ordered 3 drinks and 2 food items at 11:16pm. Got the 3 drinks that took about 30 minutes. Still waiting on the 2 food items and it is currently 12:11am. I chose this place because of the high reviews, but I assume this extensive delay is due to being short staffed. Either way, it would have been nice to know that the orders were significantly delayed. And umm.. my drink had waaaaay too much rice in it. Disappointed. Place is quiet, but idk if I'd come back again. Update: finally got the last item from my order (an hour and 15 minutes after ordering). lol DO NOT ORDER THE "THICK" TOAST unless you want to get ripped off and be insulted. Literally got 2 slices of stale ass Sara Lee bread kissed with some condensed milk. SAVE YOUR MONEY, TIME, AND SANITY by not going here.

I have been here numerous times, and my favorite items have been their lychee tonic (though on the pricier end for $9) and the Fist Bump (small black sesame breve), but I also love their hot flat white, as it has the balance of their strong and smooth espresso flavor with the perfect balance of milk. I have also enjoyed the Cloudy, which has subtle notes of red date and pear with a cream top. The drink was nicely balanced and not too sweet. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of their coffee drinks, which have strong coffee notes. I also love their coffee cakes, which tend to sell out pretty quickly by midday. The cake is rich and moist with a nice cinnamon-sugar top and pairs nicely with coffee. They have plenty of parking in the back lot. Definitely check them out if you're in the area!

I was in the area on a weekday and decided to stop by before work to grab a coffee. I went at around 8:30 AM and it was busy with many folks doing work. After looking at the menu, I had a hard time trying to figure out what to get given the selection! I asked for a recommendation between drinks and they mentioned if I want a hot drink - Miso White would be good; for a cold drink - Lychee Tonic would be ideal. It was a hotter day, so I opted for the Lychee Tonic. Since it was busy, the wait was ~ 10 minutes for the drink. After giving it a try, it tasted refreshing but I didn't really get the lychee taste. Not the best first impression with the tonic. However, I'd still consider coming back considering their ambience. Also absolutely interested to try their pour over options! The matcha itself was pretty weak and a bit flat, missing that rich, earthy depth you'd hope for, so overall it just fell a little meh. It's clean and minimalist with lots of natural wood, high ceilings, and an open, airy layout. There's plenty of seating, making it a great spot to work, study, or just hang out. I'd still be open to coming back and giving it another try, maybe the double matcha will hit better next time.
