I finally got to try this Da Vien location, and it didn't disappoint. Their matcha menu selection is fantastic, which was a huge win for me. The space has a great atmosphere for studying or casually lounging with friends. I love the lively music and friendly, attentive service. Plenty of parking available, it's definitely a go-to spot to unwind.
I don't care too much about the boba / coffee hype, However Da vien always pops up on my Instagram feed. Since I was already here getting sandwiches next door I decided to pop in and try it out. The staff is vocal and friendly, they give me the next gen Starbucks vibes. I got the marble drip, Very tasty.
Got the biscoff cookie butter matcha, it is soooo good. The cookie butter cream top is perfectly sweet and salty and compliments the matcha very well. The matcha itself isn't overly sweet which goes well with the sweet cream top. Inside has a few 2 person tables to sit and work but it's not a big space. The parking lot was very busy but I think there's a parking garage across the street but I'm not too sure. There's free WiFi and restrooms inside!
I checked out Da Vien after getting bahn mi at a nearby shop; I wanted to see how this cafe's Vietnamese coffee would compare to what I usually get at the adjacent sandwich spot. The interior had a sleek and modern vibe, and I appreciated the friendly service when I ordered. The Vietnamese coffee had the strong flavor that I expected with a balanced amount of sweetness. I would definitely get the same drink again and was also curious about other beverages on their menu. They also offer a rewards program, and you can add your phone number to sign up at the register.
Love that Da Vien is expanding and there are more locations in my area now (e.g. Rosemead & Arcadia). It's located in a small strip mall facing a super busy street. It's open daily 6am-10pm Really enjoy that they have their own App where you can easily place your order and earn rewards! So easy, fast, and convenient! Parking is not too bad since they have their own small parking lot and it isn't shared with too many other businesses. Love that they have sugar, caffeine, cream, milk and ice adjustments! Their menu has a good variety of coffee and matcha drinks and it's reasonably priced - $6-$7. Got the Egg Cream Coffee ($6) and it consisted of Vietnamese coffee topped with egg cream top and cocoa powder. I got it with less ice and 30% sweetness. The egg cream top was very thick in consistency so I had to give it a very good stir prior to drinking. The coffee was very bold and strong in flavor. The cream top wasn't too sweet and balanced the coffee very well. The drink was very refreshing and delicious without being too bitter or sweet. Overall, I really enjoyed my drink so I'll definitely recommend and return.
I recently found out that Da Vien Coffee opened up a new location in Alhambra. They are located in a small unknown plaza with about 7 other businesses. Parking lot is small, but clean... holds about 30-35 cars. There may be street parking. Please read the signages. Upon entry, I was greeted right away by a lovely young lady. Thank you Miss! I saw one self-order kiosk, but I decided to order at the counter. I knew exactly what I wanted... Ube Cream Coffee 16 oz. What an aromatic and super tasty coffee drink! Coffee was indeed divine and wasn't too strong for me. Ube flavor was delicious and the perfect complement with this coffee. It's a pretty drink, too. Definitely recommend this flavorful combination. I appreciate they use crushed ice in their drinks which is my preferred choice. Yay! Staff and service were super. Prices were great. Love to come back and try their other specialty coffee drinks. Just one observation, I noticed this location is away from the hustle and bustle of SGV on Valley Blvd to the west of Garfield Ave. I wonder why they chose this location. Just curious. I got the Vietnamese iced coffee with strawberry cream on top - absolutely decadent! The strawberry cream is almost like strawberry ice cream - but not too sweet. I enjoyed sipping from the top and allowing the coffee to flow through. Staff were very friendly and helped me work through my thoughts on what I wanted :) I will totes be back!

They are know for their matcha, robust coffee blends, signature drinks, and flavored tea. This location is at a corner small plaza on Valley blvd and 3rd street in Alhambra. I came today, under a scorching LA sun to grab a nice cold drink. It was not crowded when I arrived which I like. Interior was modern, spacious and has inviting atmosphere. This coffee shop has a convenient kiosk for customers. Similarly, they sell coffee bags, tumblers, and tote bags. After perusing their menu, I ordered a cold Lychee Jasmine Tea. And it was bloody refreshing and tasted great. I can sense the rich lychee flavor. Staff were cordial and professional. Prices were very fair and competitive. There is a copious parking spot in the plaza and street. Overall, I enjoyed my visit to DVC and my cold tea. I recommend you visit.
¥¥¥ 2026 review #8 ¥¥¥ One of the DaVien stores I had yet to visit -- and made it today since I was in the area and also needed to redeem my comp DaVien drink coupon that expires in 10 days. This location was the first one that I showed up on Grand Opening morning but didn't make the looooooooooooooong line of folks who showed up 2-3 hours earlier. We were 4 people after they cut off the line. I was really bummed. Anywho. A little story background to share LOL #protip when you pop in here, at this location ONLY! Do a Yelp photo upload and/or review. Show it to the staff and you'll score a cute little bear keychain (available for first 20 customers each day) I'm obsessed with these bear keychains hehe!
Da Vien has been on my hit list for so long, so glad to have finally tried it as I think I just found a new spot to frequent. The interior is super nice and clean, there are around three tables inside. It wasn't super busy when I went so it was the perfect environment to study for a couple hours at. There are chargers and Wifi in the store (the wifi password: eggcoffee). I got the banana Matcha and ordered it with oat milk and 30% sweetness. I think the lessened sweetness is honestly the key, especially since the banana pudding is pretty sweet. It really lets the high-quality Matcha flavor shine through. I've heard really good things about Vietnamese coffee as well, especially the ube one. Overall, nothing to change about the experience. I had an awesome time at Da Vien. Side note: get the app to unlock deals and the order ahead feature!
Took advantage of the BOGO deal for the coconut matcha. My first time trying it and I am in love! Deliciously light and absolutely refreshing! Thought about it constantly after I finished the drink. Ordered on the app and it wa ready by the time I arrived 5 minutes later.
05/26/26 Tuesday Ordered two lattes via their app for pick up around 4:30 PM. For some reason it only let me choose ASAP so that's what I did. I originally wanted to choose a later time. My partner luckily was able to pick it up for us. They had a promotion going on for their banana latte, buy one get one free (BOGO)! Love their BOGO deals, especially the ones that don't have specific times (namely 2-4 PM) since most folks are still at work during those hours. They have them quite often too. I substituted banana cream for strawberry cream on one of the orders. The strawberry is a lot easier to mix than the banana since the banana cream kept clumping up. I could taste real fruit in both. Especially with the strawberry seeds. The strawberry tastes like a coffee strawberry short cake, yuuum!
I usually get a coffee or matcha whenever I come to Da Vien, but this time I wanted something that wasn't milky. I saw they had a peach tea and decided to give it a try. I ordered through the app, and my drink was already ready when I arrived. Super convenient, especially when you just want to grab your drink and go. I was really glad that they let you adjust the sweetness for their fruit teas because there are so many places that don't allow you to do that. I got mine at 30% sweetness and also asked for less ice. There was still quite a lot of ice, though, so I do wish "less ice" actually meant less ice. My first sip was absolutely refreshing! I was also pleasantly surprised that they use real peach. There was even a slice of canned peach in my drink, which I wasn't expecting. The peach flavor came through really nicely and, most importantly, didn't have that artificial peach taste that some fruit drinks have. It tasted fruity and refreshing without being overly sweet. I think 30% sweetness is definitely the way to go if you don't like your drinks too sweet. It was sweet enough to bring out the peach flavor without taking away from the tea or making the drink feel heavy. Such a good drink, especially when you want something lighter and more refreshing than coffee or matcha.

Da Vien (Vietnamese for "ice cube") offers a picture-perfect lineup of coffees and matchas, from traditional egg coffees to eye-catching ube and cookie butter renditions. The crowds always seem to follow Da Vien's new shops, and now they boast locations across SoCal and as far as the Bay Area. The recently opened Alhambra outpost shares a bustling strip mall with a banh mi shop and a post office. Snagging a parking spot would feel like bumper cars if not for the 15-minute spots right out front dedicated to takeout. The tiny interior is chic and minimalist. The taupe dry-brushed walls are minimally decorated. Accent lighting shines down on the block-letter phrase, "Coffee is my love language". An indoor planter separates off the small seating area to the left. Calming coffee house acoustic plays unobtrusively. My fiancee and I visited for grab-and-go coffee, and ordering in advance through the app was a breeze. I particularly appreciated the custom takeout bags. All the drinks were creamy and full-bodied and armed with just the right amount of crushed ice. The coffee beverage was stronger, while the latte blended more easily and evenly. The Egg Cream Coffee was a timeless classic. The strong, coffee-forward flavor was paired with a dense cream top that fell somewhere between meringue and creme brulee. The Ube Cream Coffee had an ice cream-rich cream top and smooth sweetness. Meanwhile, the Banana Latte was a fun niche option. The cinnamon-y, not-too-sweet flavor reminded me of banana bread. The service is efficient, and the takeout drinks are available in 10 minutes if you order through the app. At $7 per drink, Da Vien is more expensive than Starbucks but on par with peer shops offering similar elevated Vietnamese coffee. The options are borderline gimmicky, but my fiancee and I agreed that the end result is a satisfying success. Next time I'm in the mood for Vietnamese coffee, Da Vien will be my go-to. read more

Downgrading to a 3-star due to subpar experience. Went to pick up my online order as usual. It's always ready when I arrive, but not this time. The expeditor (expo) claimed it was not ready. She barely (didn't even really) check the orders on the shelf. I've questioned her cuz there were many to-go orders bagged on the shelf and I have a feeling one of them is mine. She proceed to tell me that they'll call my name when it's ready. I suppress the urge to go through the bagged ordered myself even though I've asked her, "Are you sure it's not ready?" As I sat on the bench waiting for my order, I saw a lot of people getting their drinks even the ones that just ordered. I'm thinking to myself, "Surely, my order's got to be ready since I've order it 15-20 mins ago?" It doesn't make sense others who ordered way after me are getting their drinks. Not hearing my name called, I've proceed to get up and check the orders myself cuz I couldn't stand it anymore. Lo n behold, my order was sitting there the whole time. How do I know? I was staring at the pick up area the entire time ever since I got there. Annoying experience. I just wanted a quick grab n go. I mean there's no table available anyway. There are only a few and it's always occupied. Whatever, I think I'll go to the Rosemead location. Never had an issue with pick up there. The workers at that location actually help you find your order when there's a lot of orders. DRINKS: Coconut Matcha 5/5 30% sugar. It's rather good and refreshing Sesame Latte (iced) 4.5/5 30% sweetness. Cookie Butter Matcha 4.25/5 0% sweetness. I knew the cookie butter cream is relatively sweet, so I got it with zero sugar. It came out just right that way. Bf added just a little sugar cuz there is no sweetness from the matcha. Only sweetness from the biscoff cookie butter part since I've ordered 0%. However, it was too sweet like that...even with adding just a hint of sugar. Ube Cream Coffee 4/5 30% sweetness. read more

The banana latte always hits but the strawberry is super light and can't really taste the strawberry or the tea. Don't think I'll be ordering the strawberry drink again. So happy that they have Da Vien in SGV now because I used to always drive to OC to get their viet iced coffees! I've been a handful of times between this location and a few other locations. My tried and trues are: - Egg Cream Coffee (the best) - Ube Cream Coffee (second favorite) - Matcha Latte (prefer normal sweetness) Ngl the real reason I'm leaving a review is cause they have a promo where I can get a free teddy bear keychain if I leave a review and the keychain is hella cute. I guess since I've left LA, "fancy" viet coffee shops have really started to make their presence known. Da Vien is one chain that's been popping up all over the SGV and for good reason. It has modern boba shop vibes but specialize in coffee. Service seems quick and easy, ordering at a kiosk or at the cashiers and coffees come out pretty quickly. I, personally, prefer the earthy flavor profile of viet coffee so I'm glad there are places for playful variations. I enjoyed their egg coffee, which has a nice, creamy, rich sweet egg foam (think tiramisu more than omelette). I also really liked their banana coffee and probably something that feels more unique in a way but also I'm seeing banana popping up more. I thought their sesame one was alright and could def have had a stronger sesame flavor. The ube latte was also pretty good and had a notable sweet, earthy ube that complimented the coffee well. I will say that viet coffee seems to have quite a bit more caffiene and as someone who doesn't drink coffee often, I do tend to have to drink it over 2 days as I get headaches but I do still enjoy the flavor. read more

Went to pick up my Vietnamese coffee, ordered thru the app choosing "Less Ice". Look PIC - does this look like less ice to you? I went inside and asked for it to be remade with less ice and 3 front staff members all met with pushback instead of helping. Told me this word for word: "This is less ice" "Do you want another drink instead" "This is how we make this drink" "You can do no ice next time and get ice on the side" - aka extra $2 I had no issue with the drink order, just the ICE. Very simple request and felt dismissive and confrontational. I left without any resolution. Ive seen other people post the same issue about ICE and never seen it get resolved by management. What can I say!? The ceremonial matcha here is top tier! It's creamy, earthy, and smoky just how I like it! I've been here about 5 times already this past week and my favorite so far is the banana matcha latte and the strawberry matcha latte. They need to carry a pandan matcha latte soon! I'm a sucker for good pandan and this is absolutely the location to have that on the menu! The parking lot is small but you can always find someone leaving or park on the street. Hurray. SGV went from traveling to OC for Da Vien to now having 3 locations. Yippee I love this Alhambra location as it is also next to a well known Banh Mi shop. Parking at peak times can be tricky but the parking lot organization has also improved since back in the day. You can always count on Da Vien for great Viet coffee. Store is nice but could use some sound dampening panels on the inside. The conversations from customers seems to be amplified. Service is great because you have options of the kiosk or cashier. I also find the value at Da Vien really good. read more

This place has been popping up on my Insta daily so I had to obey the algorithm and finally check this place out. My current fascination is a banana latte and Lalaland's is the best IMHO but having it delivered gets pricey because I'm too lazy to drive to Glendale to go get it. Anyways, DVC's banana latte satisfies the craving. It's not as "banana" flavored as Lalaland's but the strong Vietnamese coffee pairs well with their banana syrup (they also add condensed milk) and creamy banana topping. It was my first time trying this place and I was told it was a sweet drink but next time I think I will make it a bit sweeter because I love my sugary drinks. Oh and the plus is they use crushed ice, which I believe makes every drink better. I'll definitely be returning and can't wait to try all of their other concoctions. This location is in a strip mall and parking was ample. Also, get the app so you can earn points and rewards. read more

Was able to order 3 matcha drinks here. I got the regular iced matcha latte, the ube matcha, and the new cookie butter matcha. I think if you get the butter cream matcha, to make sure to have a straw and stir it in. I drank it from the sipping hole and I felt like it was so sugary and sweet once I had a bit left. You also taste pure sweetness in the beginning since it's at the top of the drink. My dad really enjoyed the ube matcha and drank it quick. My brother also liked the regular iced matcha latte and found it delicious. I probably would have preferred the regular as well. The aesthetic and interior of this spot is stunning and clean. I like how you can order either at the counter or at the kiosk. They appear to be a popular spot because we found a single parking spot open but I think there's good turnaround for people coming and going. It was within an hour of closing so I expected it to be slow but they were still busy. However the staff were quick and efficient in my opinion! Definitely a good find. read more

Loveee Da Vien. I came back to the 626 and saw that so many locations opened up near me. I love how their is an Alhambra location now which is even closer compared to the Rosemead location. We ordered the sesame matcha latte and einspanner cream coffee. Both were so good. The black sesame foam was delicious and the einspanner cream matched perfectly with the vietnamese coffee. Da Vien truly has the best vietnamese coffee. So authentic and powerfully strong. I always recommend Da Vien to any of my friends who love vietnamese coffee and haven't tried it yet. Drinks came out quickly after ordering. I also love their mini cubed ice. This store is pretty small, but cozy. Parking is also pretty limited since it's shared in a really small plaza. You gotta try Da Vien if you haven't. read more

Da Vien Coffee has really expanded a lot recently, even up to the Bay Area (where I'm currently located). I remember when they were just located in Westminster, so I'm happy to see them doing so well. I needed some morning coffee for my work commute, so I was glad to see that they had a location in Alhambra. I helped pick up some drinks for my friend and got the Egg Cream Coffee (with more cream less coffee) for myself. The egg coffee hit the spot and provided me with some much needed caffeine for the LA traffic commute. read more

Da Vien Coffee is a Vietnamese coffee shop with multiple locations across the Southern California area. It started in Little Saigon in 2021 and this location in Alhambra just opened recently. It's located in a small plaza with free parking in the lot. I've come a couple times and have tried the marble drip ($5.50), Vietnamese coffee ($5), and the Vietnamese egg coffee ($7) which were all good. There were some tables to sit and free wifi to use to work or study. The prices were relatively affordable compared to boba shops and it has a modern aesthetic with minimalist interior and natural lighting. read more

Da Vien has jumped to the top of my coffee spots list! Their drinks run on the sweeter side, so I order 30% sweetness and it's absolutely perfect. The matcha and ube foam are my favorite to add to the Vietnamese coffee -- a real energy boost and so yummy. If you're caffeine-sensitive like me, they also have lower-caffeine options so everyone can enjoy. The staff at this location are always really welcoming and friendly! Parking here is okay, the plaza is a bit small but you can get in and out pretty fast! read more

A friend recommended we check out Da Vien Coffee, and I'm so glad we did. The place was busy when we arrived, and the smell of fresh coffee and sweet drinks throughout the shop was absolutely delicious. They had so many interesting and unique drink options to choose from that it was hard to decide! I ordered the Vietnamese egg coffee, and my husband got the coffee with the ube top. Both drinks were absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The Vietnamese egg coffee was rich, creamy, and perfectly balanced, while the ube topping added a fun and unique twist. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, and the menu definitely makes you want to come back and try more. We'll definitely be returning to sample other drinks next time! read more

Located in the plaza with my favorite banh mi spot. Parking can be tricky but if you are there just for picking up an order, they have 3 designated parking spot right in front just for that. I ordered off the app and my order was ready once I got there. There was a little mistake on one of my orders and they were happy to help me remake the drink. Super helpful. Recently opened! The Da Vien Espresso latte was really good, smooth, rich, and not overly sweet. Mobile ordering works really well and is a great way to avoid the wait. The shop itself is pretty small, though. Parking can get crowded, so I'd recommend parking on the street for free if you can find a spot. read more
