I've been here several times and have gotten the Einspanner, Matcha Einspanner, Espresso Cream Latte (pictured right), Black Sesame Latte Einspanner, and Purple Sweet Potato Latte (pictured left). They are ALL deliciously sweet and milky. That being said, I agree with most reviewers that say the drinks need to have a stronger taste of caffeine. My solution to this has been to add a shot of espresso and IT WORKS! I wish I didn't have to add that, which is why I took a star away. I've gotten some of these drinks on repeat and they taste the same every single time no matter who the barista is. Staff is kind, patient, and fast. The location is small and the plaza is popular, but I've never run into issues finding parking or feeling uncomfortably crowded. Great location surrounded by lots of dining and shopping. I'm local so sometimes I take a brisk walk to the cafe, sit and read for a while with my drinky drink, then walk home. I especially love that it replaced the Starbucks! The matcha foam is sweet and has a fair amount of matcha taste, but it's really creamy! The coffee is strong in both the black sesame and the matcha foams. The black sesame is very not sweet but I think the barista accidentally put "no added sugar" in the order. The drinks are so pretty and intricate! They are a bit on the pricier side for the size you get. It looked like it was his first time working there. Then again, it is relatively new so they're working out the kinks. First visit since this location changed over from Starbucks, and I'm glad to see an independent concept take its place. From what I've learned, Ten Thousand Coffee has locations in popular markets like New York and New Jersey, and it definitely seems like a brand that's on the rise. The shop itself was clean, bright, and refreshing. Surprisingly, I was the only customer when I stopped by, but I hope this place gains more traction because I enjoyed it much more than the previous coffee chain. While the drink menu isn't extensive, the selections they do offer are thoughtfully curated. I ordered their signature Einspänner along with the spinach feta Danish. Since I was in a hurry, I appreciated how quickly my order was prepared. They also had an impressive display of pastries and desserts that looked delicious. I really liked the minimalist, modern design and the overall cleanliness of the space. As for the coffee, the Einspänner was refreshing and well-balanced. I've had stronger versions elsewhere, but this one was smooth and easy to enjoy. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made for a great first experience. Ten Thousand Coffee? Never heard of it. Seeing that this chain has locations all over the world, I knew I had to try it soon. We arrived to this spot this past Sunday at around 10:35 AM. We were greeted immediately and the girl working the register went ahead and explained all of their top drinks since it was our first time. We ordered the following: **Onyx Latte: The top of the drink tasked like water with a hint of chocolate. When mixed up and drank with a straw, it tasted like watered down chocolate. Not only did I not taste any cold brew, the whole drink was watered down. Easily the more disappointing cold brew based drink I have ever had in my life. Did they forget the cold brew or was it prepared very very poorly? (0/5) **Einspanner: You can taste a hint of espresso within the drink but it was so light. It was semi sweet and the cream was nothing special. The presentation was also not appealing. I generally like einspanners from other spots but this one was absolutely subpar. (2/5) What a huge disappointment, Ten Thousand Coffee. We paid $15 for a watered down chocolate drink and a you-can-barely-taste-espresso einspanner. The cups were also terrible - the lid is poorly designed that you need to use a straw unless you want to spill all over yourself with the opening being towards the middle of the cup. The brand essentially combined the tenets of South Korean cafe culture with the specialty roasting techniques and coffee bean profiles of Australia. As for the brand name, it was inspired by the amount of time their team invested into creating their menu and perfecting their specialty coffee. Ten Thousand Coffee recently opened their first West Coast franchise storefront in Monterey Park, located where the Starbucks used to be. My friend and I stopped by a week after their grand opening, and luckily there was no line. We tried the Black sesame einspanner and the Jeju green tangerine matcha. The espresso in the einspanner was a bold dark roast that paired perfectly with the sweet and nutty black sesame cream. The tangerine matcha was a citrusy sparkling beverage with just a hint of matcha, and it was pretty refreshing in the afternoon heat. This new spot in Monterey Park is really nicely designed. I love the aesthetic of the interior, and the coffee was honestly impressive. The black sesame Einspanner and the Onyx latte were both really good and unique. Their specialty drinks definitely stand out and feel like a step above the usual coffee shop menu. There's plenty of indoor seating along with outlets and wifi, so it's a solid place to get work done. The wifi only lasts an hour at a time, but you can reconnect easily. They also charge an extra dollar for additional cups, which probably won't matter unless you specifically need one. There's outdoor seating as well, and the location is super convenient since it's in a plaza surrounded by different food spots and markets. I was intrigued to see this Sydney-based chain take over the old Starbucks on Atlantic Blvd. With locations in NYC and Seoul, it's a bold addition to the neighborhood, even if it feels like a bit of an "odd" fit for the area. The aesthetic is ultra-modern -- crisp white walls and minimalist furniture. Indoor seating is tight, though there are a few tables outside. I tried their signature Einspanner ($6.95), a cream latte recommended by the staff. Unfortunately, it missed the mark for me. The cream was so thick it wouldn't incorporate into the espresso, and the presentation felt a bit messy with the heaps of cream sitting awkwardly over the ice. On a recent Monday in late afternoon , I took the opportunity to try out this new cafe in Monterey Park because of close proximity to my next event. It's a small corner cafe, with bright, minimalistic modern design. The tone is bright and warm. Service is very friendly. The barista recommends their Einspanner iced which is their signature cream latte serve with expresso. It's basically a double shot expresso with cream and powders with ice cube. I like the layers of taste, it's much more than regular iced double shot expresso, but of course I finished it rather quickly lol. I love expresso in general. They're currently in their grand opening week (May 2 - May 8) with their $1 promo deal for their signature drinks (Einspanner, Onyx latte, Matcha Einspanner, and Espresso cream latte) to the first 100 customers. They open at 7am, and I came on Monday around 8am and was able to claim the $1 deal. The first 100 was claimed by around 8:30am. It was pretty busy in the early weekday morning, but started to slow later in the morning. According to their website, this coffee shop originated from Sydney, Australia with the name 10000' originating from the "10,000-hours" their team invested into creating the perfect cup of coffee. Their NYC, Sydney, and Decaf coffee blends are crafted from hand-selected, specialty-grade beans at local roasting facilities in Brooklyn, N.Y. I got their Matcha Einspanner which is an espresso latte with a matcha cream top. I got this with almond milk which was an additional $1 charge (but worth considering the drink itself was only $1 from the promo). The espresso flavor was really well-balanced and I enjoyed the flavor of the drink with the almond milk. The matcha cream was sweet with some flavor of matcha, though not that strong. I really enjoyed their mini mango lattice pastry! It had a mango filling that was not too sweet inside a flaky, lattice-topped crust, and it was only $1.50. I had it warmed up, and it was delectable. I came twice for the 1 dollar promotion during their opening week and I thought it was great! I got the matcha einspanner both times and I think they make a great cream top however I will say their consistency needs work. The first matcha einspanner I got was great. The cream top had a perfect consistency and the espresso woke me up instantly. However the second time I got the matcha einspanner, the cream top was clumpy and not as well presented it is their morning rush though! I can appreciate the drinks coming out quick and fast ! It only took 2 mins or so after I ordered. I will say if you're looking for a less creamy drink then I would opt for the lattes. The einspanner drinks are very cream and milk forward. Drinks were great and is what kept it up at 4 star review but service was quite odd.. Long story short, staff need more training and only 1 staff (Kyle) was helpful and made my entire experience more than better that I would still come back. Staff taking our order needs a ton of training, we visited on a Wed 5/13/2026 around 9:30am. She had a hard time finding most of the buttons on the POS system, which was understandable since it was a new coffee shop that just opened last week. Asked if she liked the Matcha Einspanner, her response was quite off putting. She awkwardly laughed and hesitantly said "uhh yes..? I think it's ok" Ordered 3 drinks, she said the total was only about $14. I confirmed if she got all 3 drinks for my order, she repeated and confirmed my 3 drink order but also went ahead and added my 3rd drink. The final total made more sense. However, after my final total she rendered my order for me to pay. All my cards were declined, not sure what happened. I tried 3 different cards and 4 different times (3 taps, 1 final inserted card). Luckily, my colleague came with me and she added other drinks to the order and she was able to tap to pay with no issues. I thought something had happened to my entire wallet and all my cards were jeopardized, that was not the case. My card worked fine at the Ralphs in shared plaza about 5 minutes after. There was also a mix up with my order. The staff that took my order went to an older Korean staff to have them correct the order. They were both very confused with each other. Kyle stepped in and explained to both of them how to correct the order. Not only did he help correct and explain what was wrong to them while he was busy making other drinks, he also made sure to ask if rest of my order was correct. Without Kyle today, I don't think I would be returning. If Kyle is there every time I visit I would be extremely happy. Matcha Einspanner -first time ever seeing Matcha cold foam over espresso. The good thing about their drinks is that it could come either hot or cold. The lids are to the side when you go to pick up your drink. Tried this place in New York before and loved it, so I was really excited when they opened one right in Monterey park and honestly, the exact same thing, still loving it. Have only been aware of Ten Thousand coffee in New York when I was done with my trip and haven't had any chance to go back there and paid a visit. Uberly excited knowing it's now here in LA! They're still offering $1 coffee for first 100 visitors in the day. Visiting at noon obviously I was no longer entitled to it within the quota, but hey not a showstopper from trying. The coffee shop was aesthetically designed and provided nice sitting spaces with plenty of plugs. They did call out that wifi use's limited to an hour for the guest, good initiative so people didn't sit forever and enable turnaround with other guests for sure. The baristas and servers were all super friendly and attentive, making the busy cafe able to still serve the guests efficiently. I got their signature Onyx Latte, which was basically their house cold brew with chicory and black cacao, coming in 12oz or 16oz size option. I went for the big one and they did offer dairy substitute for additional $1. It tasted quite peculiar to my palate, somewhat like smokey-ish #IYKYK. Very cute space, with some outlets by the benches tables. Seating doesn't look like it'd be the ~most~ comfy for extending study time, and about 7-8 tables that could accommodate ~16 people total. Free WiFi too & restroom for customers. Menu seems a bit limited (they did just open) but seems like a great option for coffee lovers. Personally not a coffee connoisseur so I added extra sweetener to my Einspanner - foam/cream was so yummy! Strong coffee flavor alone. I've had the pleasure of trying 10000 in New York and I am so happy to see that they opened one in SoCal and especially in the SGV area AND a plaza that needs more customers. Right when walking in we were greeted and there was a male barista that was super welcoming and kind. I would definitely take their specialty drinks over the normal coffees that you can get elsewhere. I have tried this place in Taiwan, and was so excited to see it come to the US. The coffee was so good and the little bits of chocolate at the top was a noce touch. The drink I got was neither coffee nor matcha. It seems like they are know for their einspanner. Maybe I'll try that next time but after reviewing the menu for a couple of minutes, I decided to go for one of their non caffeinated drink, a sweet purple potatoes latte. First sip, leaves a smooth creamy taste in your mouth. It tastes like some kind of cereal. They added dry slices of the potato as decor on top of the cup. The only bad thing I can say is that you must drink your drink fast because it loses its taste the longer you take to finish your drink. Will not taste how it did in the beginning as the flavor subsides. Service was friendly and patient since a lot of people asked them the same question. Small but cute shop with an outdoor patio. I love when a new coffee shop opens up near me so I had to give it a try. First of all, I love that the menu is so simple. It definitely has charm and a chill atmosphere. It's not like Starbucks, overcrowded, overpriced and noisy. Hopefully it stays that way. That being said, I wasn't too impressed with the taste. I'll definitely have to give it another try. I got the dark chocolate latte (non coffee drink) and it just tasted like cold chocolate milk. Which is fine . My sister got the tiramisu einspanner. It looked delicious and she enjoyed it. It's not the best and not the worst, very mid coffee. We were definitely influenced by the aesthetic photos. Matcha Latte - 1/5. No. Tasted like syrup and milk. The color was muddy and lumps of matcha started forming at the bottom almost immediately. Espresso Einspanner - 3/5. Decent... but there are better options in 626. Not very memorable. Their weird subpar rating doesn't actually reflect their coffee quality, but it's interesting to see because what it does reflect is the tough competition that Ten Thousand is facing in the area, and it really opened at the wrong time. First thing first: the drinks. We had a House special Einspanner with thick cream on top. The thick cream is very nice, but IMO doesn't really mix with the drink below super well because it's too thick. The pour-over was pretty nice and generally on par with other pour overs in the area. Overall, I'd give both drinks a 4/5. Decor is nice. The two baristas were very friendly, but the one lady - who seems to be the owner - looked like she didn't want to be there. Pastries get a 3/5 - they were okay (butter croissant, mini pain au chocolate & mini cheese croissant), not super flakey. Just a year ago, there was no Yihui, no Re:bakesic, no Monolith. Had it opened then, I probably would have come here a lot more often because the nearest place that offers something similar is Tilt in DTLA or Danbi in Pasadena. But now with the storm of great coffee shops opening within a 1-3 miles radius, I don't foresee Ten Thousand capturing the majority of coffee drinkers. The ones who are picky about roast and beans will probably pick Yihui/Monolith; the ones who want a dessert under the guise of coffee will go to Starbucks where they have more options. Ten Thousand gets a solid 4/5 from me. Their 1 star reviews on Google were laughably the result of wrong opening strategies - apparently they decided to do a promo of $1/coffee for the first 100 customers of the day. What this probably did was attracting the wrong type of customers. If you want to sell fancy schmancy coffee, don't try to attract people who want to pay $1 for a coffee...... because then they'll complain about it being not $1 in the long run. If your target audience is the people who are willing to pay however much it costs for a drink they like, price accordingly. See what Monolith is doing - they price their drinks to be exclusive, and their lines have been crazy ever since they opened. If you demand the best coffees, it probably will not please you as much as Yihui, Monolith, Tilt, or a little farther, Kumquat and Loquat. This place is a breath of fresh air from the other coffee shops in the area. It's located where a Starbucks used to be. Coffee is 9/10. Not the best I've had but definitely up there is quality and taste. Kinda pricey but on par with other coffee shops nowadays, which sucks because it's getting expensive to get a good espresso. Staff is friendly, place is clean and nice to be in. I am making this my go to local spot. read more

Disappointed in their promotion. Had a sign up on the window and at the counter for $1 drinks for first 100 customers, no employee or manager said anything that the deal was over until I ordered and had to pay at the register. I felt completely misled. If a deal is over let customers know or take the sign down once the limit is reached. Leaving it up all day is a cheap trick to lure people in. Coffee was pretty much what you expect at a 3rd wave type coffeehouse. Price for a 12oz is on the high side. read more

I happened to be the first customer during their soft opening--I drove by and noticed they had replaced my usual, convenient coffee stop on the way to the freeway (it used to be a Starbucks). It looked like they were open, so I decided to pop in, and I'm so glad I did because the coffee was delicious. This is definitely going to be my new go-to spot. Hopefully they add an order-ahead option soon so I can grab and go more easily I loved it so much that I went back the day before their grand opening, and they were offering free drinks while training new employees. Even then, everything was still great and very consistent--just like their mantra says. I tried both the Onyx Latte and the OG Einspanner--highly recommend both! read more

Amazing! I went there on their grand opening and the place is so cute! Theres seating and everything just looks so clean and cute! I got the Matcha Einspanner and it was one of the best drinks I've ever had! They have other really unique drinks that I will for sure will have to go back to try! I stopped by on May 5th in the afternoon, and I have to say the customer service was amazing! Chantelle was incredibly helpful with recommendations, and the whole team worked so well together. I believe the other two employees working were Ashly and Ky from what I heard across the counter, and they made such a great afternoon crew. You could really tell they pay attention to detail and support each other, especially during the rush. Everything came out quickly and tasted amazing. If you're looking for great service after a long shift, I definitely recommend stopping by and getting helped by this team.
