Background On Ten Thousand Coffee Shop: Specialty coffee brand that originated in Sydney, Australia. Known for its high-quality coffee and signature Einspanner, it has expanded into a global brand with locations in New York City, Seoul, Taiwan, Vietnam, Manila, and Monterey Park (New location) emphasizing "daily specialty coffee Our brand name '10000' originates from the 10,000-hours rule. It refers to the amount of time our team invests into creating the perfect cup of coffee. In a space curated to exemplify the significance of specialty coffee, from the first sip to the last, experience a whole new level of specialty coffee. Stage Of Establishment: This weekend was their grand opening. Grand Opening Promo: First 100 people, get a $1 drink. You can choose from one of their signature drinks: regular and matcha einspanner, Onyx, and espresso cream latte. Promo ends on 5/8/2026. So get here early! So get there a tad early before they open (7am)and wait it out. :) Credit Cards: They're accepted Restroom: There's a restroom available. Even though it has a number pad, it doesn't require a code for now. WIFI: They do have wifi. I just haven't tried it out yet. They also have some oulets to plug in. Visitation Rights: 2 times to get a $1 Onyx drink and drip coffee. You gotta maximize on the promo! Yes, I'm a earlier riser! :) Location/Parking: Located in the Atlantic Square plaza. It use to be a Starbucks location. Plenty of parking for all. Ambiance/Decor: Neat ambiance with modern furnishings. There's seating inside and outside in their outdoor patio. Service: Service is great. Kei (store manager) and staffers are like a well oiled machine. They're quite friendly, informative about their shop, and drinks come out at a decent time. Drink Of Choice: I've had the columbia huila drip coffee and the Onyx (House blend Cold Brew, infused with Chicory and Black Cacao). Both of the drinks were quite good. Please note that they charge $1 for a extra cup. Same goes with asking for a cup of water. So if you need water, bring your own bottle and ask for water. Pastry Of Choice: Pastries are made in-house. I got the ham and cheese and thought it was good. Flakey and tasty. Ten Thousand For Thought: I wouldn't mind coming back to enjoy a cup of java. :)

$1 for this cup. My nephew paid for it. I would have never paid for it...

Tried the Einspanner. It looked decent, but the coffee was weak. My aunt took a sip & said Danbi in Pasadena was way better ! ---------------///-----------:///////---- Charged $1 for an empty cup! Stupid place ever!! I don't care if your coffee is good. Ridiculous!!

Matcha Einspanner and Mango Lattice

This new coffee shop just opened up in the Atlantic Square in Monterey Park, replacing the Starbucks that used to be in the plaza next to Yogurtland. They specialize in quality coffee and the signature Einspanner, with locations in New York City, Seoul, Taiwan, Vietnam, Manila, and now Monterey Park. They're currently in their grand opening week (May 2 - May 8) with their $1 promo deal for their signature drinks (Einspanner, Onyx latte, Matcha Einspanner, and Espresso cream latte) to the first 100 customers. They open at 7am, and I came on Monday around 8am and was able to claim the $1 deal. The first 100 was claimed by around 8:30am. It was pretty busy in the early weekday morning, but started to slow later in the morning. According to their website, this coffee shop originated from Sydney, Australia with the name 10000' originating from the "10,000-hours" their team invested into creating the perfect cup of coffee. Their NYC, Sydney, and Decaf coffee blends are crafted from hand-selected, specialty-grade beans at local roasting facilities in Brooklyn, N.Y. I got their Matcha Einspanner which is an espresso latte with a matcha cream top. I got this with almond milk which was an additional $1 charge (but worth considering the drink itself was only $1 from the promo). The espresso flavor was really well-balanced and I enjoyed the flavor of the drink with the almond milk. The matcha cream was sweet with some flavor of matcha, though not that strong. I really enjoyed their mini mango lattice pastry! It had a mango filling that was not too sweet inside a flaky, lattice-topped crust, and it was only $1.50. I had it warmed up, and it was delectable. There is a good amount of tables and seats available inside and outside, along with outlets along the bench seat inside. They offer free guest wifi. Overall a great new addition to the plaza! Would definitely come back to try their other specialty drinks!

I was one of the first 100 people that got their $1 drink special. I decided to try the matcha einspanner and my friend got the einspanner. For their syrups , it is only $1 extra. The good thing about their drinks is that it could come either hot or cold. The lids are to the side when you go to pick up your drink. The drinks also came out pretty quickly despite a line that formed. Inside they offered seats and free WiFi. They also have seating outside. Their promotion is still going on this week.

Tried this place in New York before and loved it, so I was really excited when they opened one right in Monterey park and honestly, the exact same thing, still loving it. I came during their grand opening special where certain signature drinks were only $1. I got the Onyx Latte and the Einspanner latte, and both were really good. The coffee flavor was strong and blended really well with the drinks without being overly sweet. Honestly a perfect balance but I do wish they had an option to reduce the sweetness for the Onyx latte though. There's a good amount of seating but it does get busy during the morning (maybe because it is new?), and they offer free WiFi for an hour, making it a nice spot to get some work done. Service was really friendly, helpful, and fast. Parking was also really easy. Would definitely come back!

Have only been aware of Ten Thousand coffee in New York when I was done with my trip and haven't had any chance to go back there and paid a visit. Uberly excited knowing it's now here in LA! They're still offering $1 coffee for first 100 visitors in the day. Visiting at noon obviously I was no longer entitled to it within the quota, but hey not a showstopper from trying. The coffee shop was aesthetically designed and provided nice sitting spaces with plenty of plugs. They did call out that wifi use's limited to an hour for the guest, good initiative so people didn't sit forever and enable turnaround with other guests for sure. The baristas and servers were all super friendly and attentive, making the busy cafe able to still serve the guests efficiently. I got their signature Onyx Latte, which was basically their house cold brew with chicory and black cacao, coming in 12oz or 16oz size option. I went for the big one and they did offer dairy substitute for additional $1. It tasted quite peculiar to my palate, somewhat like smokey-ish #IYKYK. Give it a try just so you answered your own curiosity. If you wanted some light bites, they did offer mini pastries that with reheat options!

The drink I got was neither coffee nor matcha. It seems like they are know for their einspanner. Maybe I'll try that next time but after reviewing the menu for a couple of minutes, I decided to go for one of their non caffeinated drink, a sweet purple potatoes latte. First sip, leaves a smooth creamy taste in your mouth. It tastes like some kind of cereal. They added dry slices of the potato as decor on top of the cup. The only bad thing I can say is that you must drink your drink fast because it loses its taste the longer you take to finish your drink. Will not taste how it did in the beginning as the flavor subsides. Service was friendly and patient since a lot of people asked them the same question. Small but cute shop with an outdoor patio. Their pastries look good but I will have to try next time.

I love when a new coffee shop opens up near me so I had to give it a try. First of all, I love that the menu is so simple. It definitely has charm and a chill atmosphere. It's not like Starbucks, overcrowded, overpriced and noisy. Hopefully it stays that way. That being said, I wasn't too impressed with the taste. I'll definitely have to give it another try. I got the dark chocolate latte (non coffee drink) and it just tasted like cold chocolate milk. Which is fine . My sister got the tiramisu einspanner. It looked delicious and she enjoyed it. So I think I'll try that next time. The only bummer is , it only comes in one size. Employees were very friendly. Which is always a plus.

There's no shortage of Korean Coffee joints in the SGV, and I enjoyed meeting my neighbors to try their one-dollar soft opening. I found their Matcha Einspanner too Starbucks sugary / chocolatey and it didn't wake me up. Their signature Einspanner drink was nice and foamy and got me driving fast through 3 counties after!

Leslie L.

Ordered the iced einspanner and iced vanilla latte. They got our order wrong and we didn't get any vanilla in our drink. Presentation was a bit messy, the drink was overflowing with cream that it spilled onto the table lol. Inside is nice to sit and enjoy your drink for a bit. There's a parking lot :) service could be better but oh well, I liked their coffee.

overall: definitely want to be back to try some more of their drinks einspanner (4/5): cream top pairs well with the coffee and it wasn't too sweet when u drink it with the coffee. but the cream top is def too sweet on its own. coffee was smooth and not sour. onyx latte (4/5): not too sweet or bitter and had a nice chocolatey flavor. inside: good amount of seating available and is good for hanging out. there is wifi available as well. when we went sunday morning around 8am it was pretty busy most likely due to their ongoing promo. service: staff is friendly and drinks come out fairly quickly. the promo deal is only one drink per person. they also do charge $1 for an extra cup. parking: plenty of parking available in the plaza parking lot.

Purple sweet potato latte & green tangerine Matcha

This location is new. We stopped by to check it out very cute inside and very friendly staff. The cashier was adorable she had such a positive attitude so we felt very welcomed. I ordered a purple sweet potato latte (not very sweet) & my sister ordered a Green tangerine matcha (taste like ginger ale). The presentation of the drink is very cute! We really enjoyed our drinks and would definitely return to try something new.

Matcha Einspänner (12oz)

I was extremely thankful for the quick service. They provide great quality drinks and pastries. I ordered the matcha Einspänner which I found incredibly good. Place was clean and bright, places to sit inside and outside. 10/10 experience.

I have also enjoyed the Cloudy, which has subtle notes of red date and pear with a cream top. The drink was nicely balanced and not too sweet. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any of their coffee drinks, which have strong coffee notes. I also love their coffee cakes, which tend to sell out pretty quickly by midday. I was in the area on a weekday and decided to stop by before work to grab a coffee. I went at around 8:30 AM and it was busy with many folks doing work. After looking at the menu, I had a hard time trying to figure out what to get given the selection! I asked for a recommendation between drinks and they mentioned if I want a hot drink - Miso White would be good; for a cold drink - Lychee Tonic would be ideal. It was a hotter day, so I opted for the Lychee Tonic. Since it was busy, the wait was ~ 10 minutes for the drink. After giving it a try, it tasted refreshing but I didn't really get the lychee taste. Not the best first impression with the tonic. However, I'd still consider coming back considering their ambience. Also absolutely interested to try their pour over options! Parking is available in the back of the building. American Express is accepted here.

It's a wonderful spot to study as long as you get there early. The atmosphere is always warm and inviting, and the drinks are consistently made fresh and served piping hot. There's also a solid variety of food options to choose from. I've had the chance to try a few items: the Dubai chocolate mochi (4/5), the breakfast burrito (4/5), and the breakfast sliders (5/5). The sliders are especially good--kind of like a stacked sandwich with egg, sauces, and jam that all come together really well. My go-to drink is the Bori Cano, which is my current seasonal favorite. It's a unique mix w cream top over an Americano, with barley tea on the bottom. It's perfect for keeping me going during long study sessions. I'm really glad to have a place like this in Monterey Park where I can settle in and get work done. The Bori latte didn't have much honey flavor and a bit watery, but I liked the puff rice topping that made it unique. Kimchi Musubi croissant was flaky and flavorful, but I wish they added more kimchi since it was more like eating a spam croissant. Overall, I'm glad I came here early before I left Monterey Park.
