I got an iced caramel latte and a cheese danish. The iced caramel latte was really delicious! I could taste the strong espresso and caramel, but it wasn't overly sweet. It was smooth and creamy, which I really enjoyed. The cheese danish was just okay. I really liked the cream cheese filling in the middle, but the dough itself tasted stale. This is such a cool spot. It looks like a bookstore reading section by the window. I found parking pretty quickly on the street and it is one hour parking. The customer service is super friendly and I was trying to choose between the toffee nut latte or cinnamon latte. The barista helped me and I chose the toffee nut latte. It is subtle and a good way to start the day. It was perfectly sweet and the coffee cake was auper moist ans a good pairing. The ambiance is super cool and there were playing spanish music. Got the banana latte and the honey pistachio latte less sweet. I really enjoyed the banana latte because I was actually able to taste the banana along with the espresso. It is on the sweeter side though, and my friend loved it. If you prefer your drinks less sweet, I'd recommend getting it half sweet. I thought the honey pistachio was just okay, as I wasn't really able to taste the pistachio but it might be because I got it less sweet. The inside was cute with plenty of seating and WiFi, making it a great spot to get some work done or catch up with friends. The service was friendly, and there was also a little puppy in the shop that was absolutely adorable. Parking is street parking, but it was easy to find a spot when I came on a Saturday afternoon. I stopped by Angelo Coffee a few months ago to do some vacation planning. This intimate cafe has street parking and offers delicious coffee along with some pastries. We ordered two coffees and a pastry which were all great! They have a handful of tables inside and a couple right outside the shop. Ventured out of my norm ( East Los) to get coffee as I was in Monterrey Park and only minutes away. The location is small and cute. Service was good and fast. They have a variety of options. I went with the strawberries and cream latte and jalapeño and cheese crescent. The barista was fast, as it was basically ready the moment I finished paying. I came here for a networking mixer event and had a great time. I applaud the intentional location for this coffee spot in the thick of Boyle Heights. The Latino community loves coffee and it makes me happy that we have a place to call our own. The place is bigger inside than you would think with plenty of places to sit. As much as I wanted to give it 5 stars based off the vibe and ambience alone, the chai latte that I ordered was slightly lacking. I don't know if it was too much ice that they poured in it but it just wasn't quite there as far as presence of the spice and fullness of taste. Beware of parallel street parking. Tons of parking on weekdays. There are outdated parking meters throughout but they aren't enforcing/ not in use. For reference; for both Ditman Ave. &Townsend Ave. Street sweeping (No Parking) is from 8am-12pm on Wed on one side and Thurs on the other side. Outside of street sweeping time it's 2 hour limited free parking between 7am-6pm except Sunday. For 1st St, Street sweeping (No Parking) is between 5-8am on certain days. Great spot for a work from café, study sessions, coffee date or just meeting up with friends to catch up. At the entrance they converted the nooks into reading nooks seems pretty cozy with pillows, I'm sure you can bring your own blanket if you wanted. They also carry Homeboy Bakery items. If you don't know, Homeboy Bakery employees are formerly gang-involved and previously incarcerated people, seeking to transform their lives. Go support this local coffee shop! Alternative milk option is no additional charge here. They offer Whole, Almond, Oat and Soy Milk! Strawberry Matcha Latte -matcha base with a strawberry cream top. I opted to have my matcha less sweet as the strawberry cream top is already sweetened. Came out perfect! I began exploring my own flavor profiles, something I used to do at Mugs before they closed down which became an issue. Customers pay for what they want. It can be musically loud for business meetings (also can't take a call) and overwhelming backlog during their rush moments customers v. phone orders. Nice spot but limited mental on custom orders outside their sugary flavor profiles. They should post a sign that there are no substitutes like Michelin restaurants (Michelin restaurants may also accept custom, maybe this will stimulate them to become a Michelin coffee shop if that exists). When every dollar counts, recurring business is what stimulates. 1st time IG posts can only go so far. I take my money where I feel it's wanted. I discovered this latina owned coffee place a couple of months ago. My go to was the toffee nut latte but since opening up they have definitely upped their game to include new flavors such as banana cream, blueberry latte, strawberry & creme, pistachio, and berries & lavender. Wow. The attention to detail is really showing at this coffee shop. They showed great customer service and helped assist me in understanding what their twists on coffee were. I was intrigued once I saw the cold brew with strawberry foam so I bought it. The interior is awesome and probably the most romantic'ish setting for a coffee shop with their paper roses that I took a picture of. The coffee along with the esthetics of this place is pleasing is really eye catching. If their cold brew wasn't great, I wouldn't go back. But the cold brew is solid and so now I'll have to go back to tryout their lattes. Prices are regular from what you would pay at any other specialty coffee shop. read more

Absolutely my favorite coffee shop lately with great coffee and good snacks, great service, and nice for working inside. They have a lot of cool zines to look at as well and sometimes there's a sweet old Chihuahua around called Luna. I usually get the banana coffee (which definitely has real bananas and tastes house made) or the cafe de olla. The bagels they sell are delicious and don't cost too much. My only gripe is I wish they were open longer! read more

While the customer service was amazing, the matcha was not :(. I got the strawberry milk with the fancy oat milk and I do not recommend. It tasted sour and I couldn't really taste matcha. We ordered a large honey pistachio latte with an extra shot of espresso (4 shots total), regular matcha latte with banana cream, chocolate croissant, and sparkling water for $25. A little pricey in my opinion. The honey pistachio latte did resemble pistachio at all, but not sure if it was just overpowered by the extra shot of espresso. The iced matcha latte with oatmilk was very mild - I even asked the barista to add a little extra matcha powder. The banana cream was good, not too sweet, and reminded me of banana pudding, but it overpowered the matcha (which was too mild on its own). Overall ambience and workers were nice and even warmed the chocolate croissant for us, but would not return for the drinks, especially if you are a matcha drinker. read more
