    Arroz con leche iced latte
    Vickie V.

Just updating my review as I finally scored the arroz con leche latte. Momma makes the arroz con leche with real piloncillo and canela sticks - no powder mixture is used. This is definitely a must try and it was worth the wait. Got the large because of course I needed the large and the "no coffee" taste issue was resolved (I kept an eye on coffee boy lol). In addition, I also got myself a mazapán latte because I already told ya'll how spectacular it is. Lastly, I took a pic of the inside of the burrito because you can't depart without grabbing one or more to accompany your coffee. I can't stress this enough, come see these folks for your morning jolt - your tastebuds won't be disappointed.

    Lolita with oatmilk

This coffee place is tucked into a residential area, but there's plenty of parking in front of it. It was my first time here and the staff gave me quick overview of their menu, lots of Mexican flavored options which was nice. I ended up getting the Lolita with oatmilk, and as someone who doesn't like overly sweet things, I thought this drink was spot on! I'm so glad I made this coffee stop on my commute this morning.

A hidden Gem! This coffee spot feels like stepping into your abuela's backyard--warm, inviting, and full of charm. The small patio is adorned strong "abuelas" vibes in the best way possible. I ordered a Spanish latte was smooth and well-balanced. Recommend this coffee shop.

    Viva latte

I had attempted to come to cafe niña a few times but there was never any parking. Today as I was driving around the area I found a parking spot and finally stoped by. I ordered the Viva latte and it was delicious, I'm so glad I ordered the large. The guy and the girl working there were so nice and friendly, it didn't take long to get our drinks and they have a cute little spot to sit and wait for your coffee or sit and enjoy your coffee there. I will definitely be back because I want to try the Spanish latte and the Lolita latte.

Such a cute hidden gem in Boyle Heights. We tried the Spanish latte and viva latte both were 10/10 and the service was great. Parking can be a little difficult but worth it.

Stumbled upon Cafe Nina on social medial and I had to try it . Really cool cute set up. I parked on the street and was very close to the house . Upon entry the workers were super nice . I got the Mazapan latte . It was decent . Not really up my alley . But I get what they are doing and it is awesome. If your into these kind of flavors it is a must try .

My most favorite coffee shop in LA County! This place is run by a family at their house in their front patio. It is literally the cutest place ever! They have a few chairs if you would like to sit and stay but for the most part since parking is all on the red, you need to order and go. Their drinks are all latin inspired. I have tried their Lolita latte, dulce de leche latte and mazapán latte. All were amazing and have a distinct difference. My favorite so far has been the Lolita latte because I love Maria's cookies and caramel. The family that runs this place is the sweetest and they have worked so hard to make their dreams come true. When you stop by make sure to tip them well!

I love this coffee spot Family owned, very reminiscent of coffee spots from Mexico operated from their home. Arroz con leche coffee is great but only available on the weekends. Lolita coffee is my favorite They do close at 2pm, which is my only complaint, but I won't knock them a star off for it

    Vanilla Latte. Better than Starbucks!!

Found this sweet coffee shop during break & I'm glad I stopped by. My iced vanilla latte was really good. I'll be back to have the Pistachio & Nutella Lattes!

    Mazapán latte with almond milk

When I get tired of Starbucks and I'm craving a more Mexican flavor of ice coffee. Cafe niña is my go to spot. Everyone is very welcoming and attentive. I've tried all the drinks but some how I always end up getting the mazapán ice latte with almond milk. Street parking is available. They take cash, and credit cards very convenient that they also have the tap system since I don't carry my purse around. Great coffee great place

Mariscos Jaliscos is a simple, humble and easy going food truck that easily beats any sit in boujee restaurant. Their menu is simple and easy to understand. Mariscos Jalisco is best known for their Fried shrimp tacos however, they have one of the best aguachiles I've tasted hands down. Their shrimp tacos are absolutely amazing with the right crunchiness and soft fried shrimp inside. The sauce that comes with these tacos are jam packed with flavor adding to the overall flavors/texture of the shrimp taco. Hurts to say it but this might be my new favorite shrimp taco in ELA/Boyle Heights area. The service here is quick and friendly. I went on a Friday afternoon and did not find busy crowds at this food truck. Street parking is available and the times that i've visited other food trucks nearby i was able to find quick parking. Its a busy street so you will find people coming in and out of parking spots most of the time. I enjoyed my experience here at Mariscos Jalisco and will be coming back very soon. Long before the new Los Angeles magazine's issue "The best Mexican food in Los Angeles" featured a centerfold story about Tacos Guanajuato, Pancho V. (my mentor in all things Mexican food) advised me to give this place a try. The butterfly-fluttering feeling you get when your favorite author publishes a new book or when the sequel to your favorite movie is released, is akin to the way I felt coming here for the first time. It's Wednesday night at 10 PM, Julia and I are giggling like schoolgirls as we exit my car. The area feels safe where we are given a VERY warm welcome. All smiles, like we are old friends, the chef shakes my hand beneath a canopy while the open air shakes hands with a hot grill. Allow me to introduce you to Ulises, Pepe and Fernando. -The family. I accept a sample of the Jamaica - Hibiscus Aguas Frescas. A great palate cleanser for the good things to come. I know what to order, having read my mentor's review. Volcanes ($1) with pastor ( marinated pork) and grilled pineapple. Volcanes are small, light as air, crunchy corn shells covered with bubbling hot melted cheese and your choice of grilled meat, grilled pineapple, guacamole, vegetables, salsa etc. The chef will mastermind your configuration if you forfeit your control to him. I love to be dominated so I relinquish all my decisions to his wise authority. He chooses avocado, pastor, and grilled pineapple for me. Good choice! "Please have a seat!" our hosts urge my girlfriend and I, so we do. Suddenly, music is playing. Thanks! Wait! Magic? (This is good stuff guys) *insert drool* Prepare your tongues to experience textural overload when dining here. The volcanes deliver a light crunch of corn, scalded melted cheese and sweet grilled flavors. Be sure to order another one a minute or two before you finish the last bite, else you might be overcome with regret. There is no contest. The volcanes are far superior a choice to the tacos we sampled. The pastor (marinated pork) is tender and well seasoned, the lengua (tongue) is tender but a little plain and the asada (steak) is lean but also might leave you wanting the pastor. The condiment bar offers cucumbers, cilantro, onions and a few varieties of salsa for you to improve your bounty. Nothing is too spicy here. A handy option for those of you with delicate tummies. Enjoy a wonderful night out in the intoxicating guava-scented air, experiencing gastronomic bliss. Give your worried finances a holiday here, where all these items are only one dollar. Tomorrow you can can break the bank, cutting into your steak on fine china, tipping an actress, and waiting in vain for the valet. But! Tomorrow, you might be wishing you were here. Where they treat you like family, the guava blossoms are blooming and everything goes right; just like magic. If for any reason, you find this review, useful, funny or cool. I was offered a small cup of the broth to go with my meal and I definitely wasn't gonna turn that down. The broth has a heavier tomato flavor than other places I've tried and it goes really well with the tacos. I have to say that the meat was smoky and flavorful and the tortillas were great!
