I love Picaresca! I've been buying coffee from them since they were in the little shopping center off of Soto. Then I went to their spot on 4th Street. Great spot it's super popular and it's always packed in long lines. Nothing wrong with that just I'm always in a hurry.I had an appointment in LA so I decided to try the new location did not disappoint! I love the new aesthetic and the coffee and food as always amazing ! my go to is the café de Olla and the breakfast sandwich with the onion jam, fire !

Nothing brings me more joy than a good coffee shop. Love the vibe of this place, kind of old school Boyle Heights. The staff was so nice and friendly and made recommendations for us. The cafe de olla latte was very good, very complex and anise forward. They also sell bags of beans and a cafe de olla syrup/concentrate. Definitely recommend this place!

So excited picaresca opened its second location. This time just walking distance from my barrio. Love love what they did to the old tio Pepe restaurant. Great spacious seating area to dine in. I enjoy the ambiance, music playing and especially their staff are very welcoming. All their lattes are delicious. Including with all the milks and non dairy's as options. Just went in for my drip de olla cafe and pan. Great place to enjoy a cup of coffee and breakfast as well

Some of the best coffee in BH. There is more ample room for dine in. Customer service is good as always. Staff is great. Can't wait to see it in full swing.

Food and ambiance were amazing. You have to try the chilaquiles enfrijolados! It reminded me of a mole sauce but not as rich and easier to eat. It had a nice little kick

After fighting my way through South Bay traffic and making the drive from Hermosa, I can confidently say it was 100% worth it. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and full of heart. You can tell there's a lot of love behind what they're doing here, and that energy carries through everything from the service to the food and, of course, the coffee. I ordered a quad espresso over ice, and wow... it was absolutely delicious. Smooth, flavorful, perfectly balanced, and honestly one of the better iced espressos I've had in a long time. Even better, the prices felt very fair for the quality. For food, I ordered the chilaquiles and the frijoladas, and both were incredible. They had this subtle but delicious undertone of spice that kept building with every bite. The surprise star of the visit was their house syrup. It was so good that I ended up buying a bottle to take home. The flavor instantly transported me back to mornings in Mexico with my grandma, waking up early, sipping coffee together, and enjoying the comforting aroma of café de olla. It was one of those unexpected moments where a simple taste brings back a flood of memories. Great coffee, amazing food, beautiful atmosphere, and a little taste of nostalgia. I'll definitely be making the drive back.

It varies who you get, alot of attitude, eye rolls for no reason. Oddly enough, unless you're someone well known they will go over the moon for you. Saw it the other day bring them water salsa while their other customers have to get everything but, i digress. The mulato breakfast sandwich, its flavorful! I do recommend trying it if its your first time and want something not so heavy. I like the chilaquiles, its better when you add a fried egg. Soo yummy, savory, and flavorful! As for the coffee, if you like a pick me up... and a coffee that isn't sweet but strong. I suggest a refresher drink (tonics). The coffee is sugary and you unfortunately cant taste some of the coffee. If that's your preference, we'll i recommend. Besides that, the environment is lovely and art they have. Though its a hit or miss with staff especially if you like friendly service.

From the street, it looks a little gahtto and unassuming, but the moment you step in, it's a completely different world -- cozy, bright, warm, and welcoming. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the Luxurious George was prepared surprisingly quickly despite the matcha being hand-whisked to order. We also ordered their seasonal Vietnamese Coconut Latte, which was visually stunning, though I didn't get the chance to try it myself. **Luxurious George: 4/5** The Luxurious George, a banana jasmine matcha latte, was smooth and not overly sweet, allowing the flavors to remain light and refreshing. Fragrant jasmine took center stage, offering a beautiful floral aroma and delicate tea notes that paired nicely with the earthy matcha. The milk, however, overshadowed the matcha and made the drink taste a bit milkier than I had anticipated. While the banana was a unique addition, its flavor remained very subtle and was difficult to distinguish, leaving the jasmine as the dominant flavor profile. Despite not quite meeting all of my expectations, Leaflet Coffee left a great impression with its inviting ambiance and creative drink offerings. With such a unique menu, I'm excited to come back and discover more of what they have to offer.

My partner went for the Oaxacan Mocha oat milk latte -- also highly recommend the Cacao de Mi Corazón smoothie and the Spanish Latte. Know that every drink is made to order, crafted with intention.
